02/07 - 170.9 Boys went to bed an hour later than normal and I didn't have the motivation after to go to the gym unfortunately.
02/08 - 170.0 Gathered the motivation to go to the gym even after a long day of training at work. The scale messed around in the 169's before settling at 170 even. Finger's crossed I break into the 160's tomorrow!
02/09 - 170.6 Well, I let myself cheat a little too much yesterday. I'm surprised this is all the gain I had since yesterday. I'll probably see the consequences of last night on my scale tomorrow too ...

Hey everyone! I took a long break from these challenges, but I've continued to weigh in daily on Happy Scale and celebrated my small victories to myself lol. However, since I was hospitalized late last year for something that could've taken my life, I've been having trouble losing weight! I think my body has been trying to recuperate after that and plus I got the flu and sinusitis on Christmas and I'm still taking meds from that to this day. I want to have some additional accountability to get these extra 6ish pounds off that I've been struggling with for 4 months now since I was hospitalized!

02/07: 182.6 (I gained 0.2 pounds from last week! I have lost inches, and my smallest jeans are starting to get baggy but the scale has increased. TOM is coming on Sunday so I know that’s why. I did an intense kickboxing class last night and ate some potato corn chowder for dinner last night!)
02/08: 184.2 (I save some calories for the weekend and last night I made a homemade cheeseburger and some baked French fries. I’m guessing that was a TOM craving 😂. No workout yesterday since it was my rest day!)
02/09: 185.8 (TOM came yesterday afternoon as I expected. I did not workout yesterday as it was my second rest day and ran some errands. I had a bean burrito for dinner last night and relaxed!)
02/10: 185.6 (A slight tick downwards. I’m hoping for a lot of weight down this week! Let’s see how it goes! I did a Zumba workout at home for an hour and I had some roasted pork loin, green beans and salad for dinner last night.)
02/11: 181.8 (Umm what happened? 😂 this kind of shocked me! I think it’s the most weight I’ve lost after/during a cycle. I had gained 2 weeks back to back because of my cycle. I’m hoping it goes back to normal! I did a Zumba class at the gym last night and ate honey garlic chicken breast, rice, asparagus and grapes for dinner!)

This is day three of major back pain and in order to medicate every three hours for some pain relief, I had to give up on intermittent fasting and my calorie goal was more like 1200 to 1500 the last couple days instead of 900 for loss. Plus only about 4000 steps a day. Thus the increase. Today it's a little better going to try to medicate less so I can meet a calorie goal of 1200 or less but steps are still going to be limited.
02/10 164 lbs Back is better but not great. around 1200 calories but only got 5500 steps in. Managed IF for 16 hours. Going to force the walking even with the shooting pain down my leg. I have babied it all weekend and it has made no difference. This is so discouraging. Obviously if I can't move than I can't eat.
02/11162.8 lbs I didn't medicate and calories were 808. Steps 12,800. Enough of this gaining business. Back is allowing more mobility, doesn't like sitting, so I worked on sandwiching my grandson's quilt together. Thankful our table is at bar height table so not much bending. I am going to work on hand quilting it as long as my back can take it.

2/7 – 259.2 I almost used my bounce up from last round as an excuse to overeat yesterday since it was my husband’s birthday. Instead I stuck to the plan that he and I had made and instead of the bounce I thought would come I had a loss. I’m so happy and very proud of myself for sticking to my plan. Hopefully this is finally the last of the 60s and I’ll see new lows this round.
2/8 – 259.0 I had a great day yesterday. My husband and I went out to eat and I stayed well within my plan. Plus we sat at this tiny booth, which was very nice. After that I went to get my haircut at a local spa. The hair salon is on the second floor and with the help of my cane I climbed the stairs and wasn’t winded. Last we bought some girl scout cookies and so far, I haven’t had even a single one. Though it doesn’t hurt that my husband has hidden them from me.
2/9 – 256.4 I was not expecting that, but I will gleefully take it. I’m going to hope for no to minimal bounce up from my body going wait I wanted some of that water.
2/10 – 256.4 I’m glad I didn’t see a bounce up today. Hopefully downward will be the trend for the rest of the round. I did find the thin mints yesterday, but I kept myself to only two of them with my lunch. My very helpful husband discovered that they were left out of the cabinet and ate the rest of the sleeve for me. Apparently, he also ate all the lemon ups, and the tagalongs by himself just so that I couldn’t be tempted by them, or so he claims. On the plus side there are no more girl scout cookies left in the house to tempt me.
2/11 – 256.6 I had a high carb and sodium day yesterday so I’m glad the bounce is minimal. My husband was annoyed and puzzled that he was up this morning. I reminded him gently that cookies eaten for someone else still count.

02/07 168.4 One of my biggest challenges starts again today - the weekend. I will try to keep in mind when eating this weekend that next week will be more rewarding if I don't have to fight to lose the weight gained over the weekend. I'm very excited to be in the 160's. It's been awhile. Next goal - 165.

02/07: 278.1 lbs (+1.3) … expected an uptick here as I had lost about 5lb over the past couple days. Still not too bad.
02/08: 279.9 lbs (+1.8) … another expected uptick. Had a nice date night and was perfectly within budget, but then my wife and I decided we’d play drunken video games together so I wound up having another 5 beers late into the evening. Whatever this is is temporary and should fall off within the next couple days. Sometimes you just have to live a little
While I’ve set 274.8 as a goal for this round (I always choose my goal to be 2 lb less), I’ll be completely happy if I end around my round start weight… since last round ended with a dramatic drop in weight.
02/09: 278.9 lbs (-1.0) … down a bit. Planning on eating pretty light today, which should help me drop some more.
02/10: 279.6 lbs (+0.7) … hrm. Cooperate already, body. Despite eating really light yesterday and staying fairly active doing housework, I still wound up with a gain on the scale. Oh well. Still very happy about the inches I’ve dropped around my waist over the past week and a half.
02/11: 278.3 lbs (-1.3) … this is what I want to see. More of this. I was finally able to replace my defective VR headset (been out of commision since Thanksgiving!) and got back to one workout that I love -- Beat Saber. Played a couple hours last night.

Lots of stress at home, my husband has a back injury and I’ve basically become his caretaker, along with caring for our 4 year old, taking care of the house, doing all the cooking and working full time… it’s taken a lot of will power to not say screw it and just eat my emotions/frustrations. He has an MRI tomorrow, hopefully we will find out the results quickly and get a plan to help him, he is miserable (and so am I.) If he is feeling up to it we might have a family dinner out tonight, which will bump me up tomorrow, but will be worth it to get out of the house and not have to cook.

Calories below target yesterday, and no late-night snacking. I did something to my back or hip (sharp pain over lower left back when I get up or down, or, you know, move). I can’t decide which is better for it, rest or a long walk. Ugh.

02/07 - 371.6 - No change from yesterday. Slow and steady. I've lost almost 17 lbs. in the 4 weeks since starting this *Give me 10 days* challenge.
02/08 - 372.1 - A slight uptick, prolly from a little cheat day. Mom wanted a donut, so I bought one for myself. Put me very close to my caloric goal.
02/09 - 375.0 - Huge gain. I had an urge for pizza and cheesey bread. And ate most of it. If I start going down again over the next few days, I'm fine with the occasional splurge. If not, I may have to rethink the idea of a cheat day... at least to this degree.
02/10 - 373.8 - Coming back down after a really bad eating weekend. It's ok as long as it only happens very seldom.
02/11 - 372.8 - I'm staying with my initial thoughts that the occasional cheat day is ok, especially if it slows down a weight loss that is too rapid.

2/7 161.1 5 miles I almost cried looking at the scale this morning. I was under on calories and not particularly high on sodium. I can only guess that I might be retaining water from my weight lifting the night before and 5 miles yesterday. Staying positive is very challenging these days. I am happy that I'm more than 10% of my walking goal for the year. That's good news. I tried on a size 12 pair of jeans yesterday - that's good news considering I was in a 20 when I started. That's good news. The 14s are a little loose so I'm not losing pounds but something is happening.
2/8 160.9 0 miles Too cold and rainy to walk last night.
2/9 160.5 4 miles Tried to hike but the trail was too muddy. I went back to the car after a mile, changed shoes and got in another 3 on a paved trail. The park where I was has both rugged and paved trails. It's a local favorite. A little far from my house but I was glad I was there.
2/10 160.1 6 miles The 2nd longest walk yesterday. It was misting a little when I started but it cleared up before my hat got soaked. My map failed me, I had only planned on walking four and by the time I got back to the car I was at 5.5 and felt good so I did another half loop around the lake. My legs were tired when I was done but I felt great.
2/11 159.4 0 miles Took yesterday off from walking. I'll get in at least 3 this afternoon depending on the weather. It's supposed to snow tomorrow so I will go to the gym then. Happy to be down a little. I would love to end the round in the 150's.14 -

2/11/2020 181.7 I increases my breakfast to oatmeal. With my more intense workouts I need more calories in the morning. plank 35s. analysis shows that my Cuban restaurant lunch increased my weight by three pounds, two of which were water. It took about three days to get back to where I was. I ordered a steak burrito and I was very hungry so I ate all of it. Next time I go out to lunch I will eat a salad before I go and try to only eat half.
2/12/2020 Garden Club refreshments- plan to eat a full size meal before I go. Have a small plate with nuts and fruit to be social.
2/13/20 Book Club Dinner- 1) limit wine to two glasses, 2) choose one carb to eat with dinner, 3) have a small serving of dessert. This may set me back, but it is one of the really good parts of my life.

2/9 120.0 May go to champagne brunch with DH. Must not drink ALL of the champagne! 10:30AM and he’s still asleep. Wish I could do that!
2/10 120.0 We finally went to brunch at noon. That was my OMAD. Water, coffee and 2 glasses of champagne. I slept until 8 this morning - 8 hours 22 minutes! My one hour inactivity warning chirped 5 minutes after I got out of bed! Should have been jogging in my sleep!

02/07 134.4 I was determined not to go up between the end of one round and the start of the next!! So yay! Lunch out so I'm planning to eat sensibly...
02/08 134.4 I better buckle down. I didn't log yesterday because I went out for lunch and have no idea what the calories were. I simply have to end the round lower than I started. With my knee hurting and long work hours I haven't done the elliptical. I should make time for that.
02/09 134. Elliptical yesterday and knee didn't hurt (more)! Also, stayed firm and had no alcohol inspire of people strongly suggesting I would like a drink! Who needs a headache?
02/10 133.6 I'm happy I lost during the weekend, with all the social activity! I was super careful on the cheese and chips and dip over the weekend. Had like 3 chips! I wasn't very hungry last evening so didn't have a full meal. That helps too and I need to do that more often, and just save the little bits of food for the next day. There's so much food around but it doesn't mean it has to go into my stomach all at the same time.
02/11 143. A little stress easting, but mostly dinner was bits and pieces so not very healthy 😞 I have a migraine and not sure whether it was sugar or stress.
