Round 104 SW 242.6, EW 238.2
02/17 240.4, blood sugar 127. Looking at yesterday's food diary, I have no clear idea why my weight jumped up, but the previous day it fell 2 pounds for no reason so I am going to chalk this up to scale error and keep moving forward.
02/18 238.4, 118. My scale is acting like a random number generator lately. That, or I am seriously bouncing back and forth on fluid and sodium. Two pounds is a quart of water!
02/19 236.2 pounds, blood sugar 142. I will not get too excited, the random number generator is apparently setting me up for a bad bounce here shortly. With insulin on board I simply do not lose weight this quickly, and I even ate baked spaghetti last night (hence the blood sugar number.) I did go out for a short walk during lunch yesterday (only about one mile, work is a panic right now) but that doesn't account for more than 100 calories or so. Still, I am not going to complain about seeing a lower number!
02/20 237.0, blood sugar 89. If I wasn't overly excited about the scale saying 4 pounds less in two days, I can't get upset that it now adds almost a pound. I am still down for the challenge. I just need to do the work to STAY down. This will be a long day of meetings and by the time I get off there will be snow on the ground, so probably no walking today.
02/21 237.0 bs 110. Well, the promised sow never happened but we got sleet last night and I just don't walk in that in the dark. So a no change day for weight is probably as good as I could hope for. The weekend will be dry and 50's so if I can drag my lazy bum out of bed maybe I can score a few miles before Wyfe even notices I have stopped snoring.

Day/Weight/Comment
2/17: 145.8 (0) No change from yesterday, which is a win. I was able to get in a big run, with lots of walking and stretching to keep the hip happy. Then we went to Korean Food with friends in town – no idea what we were eating with all the sauces, rice, etc. Sodium had to be off the charts. I assume it will rear its ugly little head tomorrow. 😆But it was fun to see them😎
2/18: 145.4 (-.4) Went to slow flow yoga and then walked with a friend for 3.75 miles. I was sore and tired last night – not sure why. I ate well, tried to work on protein intake and getting enough fiber but my challenge is getting fiber without wrecking my carbs. I am not winning the macro thing!😝
2/19: 145.2 (-.2) Got a run in which felt pretty good. Really pushed the protein today so I hit that macro but of course, went over on the carbs. I have a sweet tooth – either I get it from blueberries or chocolate. Either way, my carbs go up. 🤩
2/20: 145.8 (+.6) I am blaming the Democratic Debate on driving me to drink last night. That was WWF match at its finest! Anyway, today was a run day on the treadmill….I wasn’t motivated but got it done!
2/21:144.8 (-1.0) Due to schedule, did not get all my calories yesterday. Ate later than planned and it was so salty – Amy’s soups are good but too salty. My bad. Glad for a loss but this will not stand as today is the first day in a long time that I cannot workout as I am driving to Houston and back.✌
2/22:144.0 (-.8) What goes down must go up! I will pay for yesterday, tomorrow! Drove to Houston with college daughter, just to keep her company so she could prep on the way for an interview. (I swear I am not a helicopter mom – it’s a 3 hour drive and and she had a 4 hour interview and then a 3 hour drive home – and sleepless college kids – not a good combo IMHO). And the bonus – I got to hang with her which I don’t get to very often even though she goes to college 10 miles away. Anyway, didn’t get to exercise other than walking the outlet mall and the worst part, we stopped at Buc-Cees on the way home! For those of you who don’t know about Buc-Cees – it’s a massive TX-sized “minimart” with all kinds of treats, junk food, etc. I ate a bag of Snappers minis – so good and yet so bad. Then pizza for dinner.😈😈😈😈😈
2/23:143.6(-.4) Tried to stick to the plan yesterday – gym workout, eat healthy. Had 0 energy so was just lazy after the gym. Wasn’t terribly hungry either but managed to eat most of my calories. Got to hold a week old baby boy so that was awesome! Life is precious😘 Today, longer run day and hope hip flexor will not yell at me. Then mexican food with out of town friends. Will need to go easy at dinner.
2/24:144.4 (+.8) Not that surprised with this….eating out is not easy. Had to guess my calories but still ate well under….maybe salt. Yoga day…..Namaste 🙏

Not starting the day off to good. I got up and decide to have Special K Almond cereal with Almond chocolate milk. Well, let's say I coughed it up and kept coughing. This damn pneumonia can go to H$LL! Ugh, I can feel the liquid in the lunges and it makes it a bit hard to breathe. Taking my puffers. I went to work but came home. Going to be a good girl and just rest. Made a Lemon ginger tea and heading back to bed (sitting up not laying flat.) Hoping the rest of the day goes well.9 -

2/17 – 257.2
2/18 – 257.4
2/19 – 257.8 I honestly don’t know and it’s a little frustrating. I’m just going to stay on track and hope for the best. Though I am considering getting into a fitness routine verses the whatever, whenever I’ve been doing for a while. I’m also considering a new meal plan, if I can get my diary to work to see how the calories work out. It’s not too different from what I do now, but adds in more fruits and vegetables, the later of which is often lacking for me.
2/20 – 257.4 After arriving late last month tom has decided to arrive early this month. At least I finally know what’s been causing the stall. At least I hope that’s it. As tom progresses and goes I hope to see new lows.
2/21 – 256.2 Back in the right direction.
2/22 – 254.4 I went out to lunch with my husband yesterday but stayed well within my calories and plan. Since I was driving around a bit to get errands done, I got an activity rest day that was needed.
2/23 – 254.8 I’m not surprised to have a minor bounce after such a big drop. It’s pretty normal for me.
2/24 – 256.0 I’m hopeful this will be temporary. I took a fall last night, I’ll be okay, nothing is broken, but I am sore all over today. Because the fall was right before I was going to make dinner my husband ordered in pizza. I stayed almost within maintenance, but the pizza plus the swelling in several places bounced me up.

Gloomy Monday here, but I’m going to a native plant talk this evening — yay!
2/18 - 180.4
Not a big surprise. I haven’t completely expelled the snack monster, though my calories are consistently under maintenance, and I know some of this is salt (Triscuits). Today I start over!

2/20 - 180.2

Dinner party tonight at friends’ house, so I’ve had a decent breakfast and will have a light lunch. I still don’t expect any progress tomorrow, but I do look forward to conversation and laughter tonight. Have a great weekend, all!
2/23 - 181
As expected. But it’s okay — I had a lovely time with great friends, and other than a small piece of really good cake, it was healthy food. Onward! I still think I can get back to my start weight for the round by Wed. 🏃🏽♀️
2/24 - 181.4
Yep. I was a bit over my calories goal yesterday, so this is not unexpected. I’ve been having a bit of intestinal distress and some other issues lately, so I’m going to cut out (as much as possible) flour and milk products and see what happens. This all went away last year when I was on a dietician-guided elimination diet. I’m also trying to increase my meditation time to counter stress.

Round Goal Weight: 272
My goal for 2020 is to reach One-derland by end of the year. Also, build my strength and endurance while toning my muscles as I'm losing weight.
Day/Weight/Comment:
2/17: 274.6. Hit a plateau for nearly two weeks. Not much loss just grateful it's moving downwards again.
2/18: 272.4 (-2.2) After not losing for awhile it feels really good to be losing again.
2/19: 272.4 (0)
2/20: 272.4 (0)
2/21: 272.4 (0). Scale not moving again. But I'm good with this. My goal for this round was 272 only 4 oz over. Still have 5 days to lose the 4 oz. Lost so far this round
(2.2 lbs). Will adjust calorie amount and increase water intake to see if this will help with getting the weight to start going down again.
2/22: 272.4 (0)
2/23: 272.4 (0)
2/24: 272.4 (0) Still no loss. I'm happy there's no weight gain. I lowered my daily calorie intake and stayed below it. Increase water intake to almost 3 L's yesterday. Making these changes, I was hoping the scale would start showing a loss, but sadly no. I just made these changes yesterday, so there are 2 days left in this round to show a loss. If not I still lost (2.2 lbs) this round which is good.

Would be nice to finally get out of the 70's by end of this round. I'm ok if that doesn't happen. Maybe in the next round.10 -
@ConfidentRaven I hope you are all okay! Glad nothing is broken and your hubby is helpful5

02/17 160.8 lbs. 1300 calories, only 5000 steps. It's pizza night with friends and I was feeling sorry for myself because my back will not just get out of it's funk and on top of that my 27 year old sewing machine was acting up and my husband and I spent all morning trying to figure it out but declared it needs a time out and I ordered a new one, so I needed a bowl of ice cream.
02/18 160.8 lbs 900 claories, 11,000 steps
02/19 161.4 lbs 1000 calories, 15,200 steps No idea for the gain, back right now, hurts to sit. Breaking down and going to the doctor today. Not happy about having more medical bills. But on the up side my new sewing machine should be here on Friday!
02/20 161.0 lbs 1350 calories, 10,000 steps. I had to take pills when I got home from the doctor with food and ice cream seemed the thing for this pity party. I was hoping to get an MRI but doctor wants to start with Physical Therapy and exercises. I have tried most everything a PT can do and for me this is just a waste of money. I was doing back exercises as my workout routine right up to two weeks ago when this all started. I am so sorry, I sound so negative, just tired of this pain and lack of being able to do what I need to do. I usually IF for 16 hours but now I have to take pills with food in the morning so that is off for a few days.
02/21 161.0lbs 1650 calories, 12,600 steps.
02/22 DNW Kids and grandbabies were here for the weekend plus meds, completely off diet.
02/23 DNW Woke up sick, vomiting, etc. I think from the steroids, spent the whole day in my room. Ugh!
02/24 157.1 lbs still ill.

02/21 199.4 yay! Told myself not to weigh for 72 hours to wash any sodium out but I felt slimmer and couldn’t resist. Nearly 3 pound loss, very happy that my focus on habits (track, exercise, journal, sleep 6+ hours) paid off.
02/22 197.2 🥳🥳🥳 Not only did I lose another 2 pounds, I passed my first goal weight!!! I know this dip won’t stay—yesterday my stomach hurt so I didn’t eat a lot. I’m sure I’ll go up tomorrow (more likely Monday because I won’t weigh in tomorrow if we overnight at the boat). But yesterday I hadn’t really processed that I had crossed the 200 mark...and today it was a big pause for me to realize I need a new goal!
02/23 196.8 Can’t believe I’m still losing, but I’ll take it!
02/24 196.4 I love the trend but I’m not fully believing in it. Waiting for the pop back up. I mean I had a cheeseburger yesterday! But I ate in my calories still. I think my body definitely likes the higher calorie target + it’s just about that TOM. I often lose just before so this particular loss is probably due to that.

Day/Weight/Comment
02/17 - 368.4 - A minor bounce back after a significant drop. Not a problem! Still on the downward trajectory. And a second day on the eliptical for 45 minutes. MFP says 1124 calories burned. I suspect it is only about a 1/3 of that... although still a decent aerobic workout.
02/18 - 368.2 - right direction again. Didn't make it to the gym yet since interview is early this afternoon. Slightly nervous/stressed.
02/19 - 366.6 - Got to the gym this morning. Feel pretty energized. Interview went well yesterday, but still applying to others. DTA (don't trust anyone). Never count on any promises. #cynical
02/20 - 369.6 - Not concerned about the uptick. Didn't go to the gym this morning, but out for a short walk. Trying to get a focus on kettlebell and weights.
02/21 - 370.2 - Not sure why the uptick again. Each time I checked the scale, it said I was gaining. But I hadn't had anything except for one cup of coffee. Weird
02/22 - 369.8 - Finally back in the right direction.
02/23 - 368.6 - And away we go... again. Found a tasty way to drink the apple cider vinegar, with added ingredients. Not nearly as bitter.
02/24 - 368.2 - A drop w/out going to the gym... yet. Heading over after lunch. I seem to always have trouble on Sunday nite, into Monday morning.

02/23 …..194.7 ….. Finally I am below my starting weight. Keeping the calories under 1400 (for now) and the carbs under 50 (for now) seems to be doing the trick. I did have a small glucose episode yesterday afternoon but I had plenty of carbs left to consume so I had a quick ½ cup of full fat cottage cheese. While not as fast acting, the episode was in slo-mo so I gave it a try. It did the trick. The sugar drops are becoming fewer and less severe. The morning numbers are still a bit too high, but I think they will continue to come down, especially as the extra weight gain sheds again. Yesterday’s stats: 1056 Calories In (I fell asleep early) / 2205 Calories Out. 29 Net Carbs. 8055 Total Steps & 3.41 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept a whopping 7 hours & 10 minutes with a 1 hour 32 minute break in the middle. I awoke after about 4.5 hours but it was the middle of the night. It took me about 1.5 hours to get back to sleep but I forced myself. I feel Wonderful Today! A good amount of sleep is NOT overrated.
02/24 …..195.5 ….. Strictly a sodium and water retention gain. I did not get to try to pork rind nachos last night. Instead, I had an emergency and ended up making dinner for my maintenance man (or he would have missed dinner.). I was at the high end of my current carb goal but did well overall. However, sodium………..
Well, we know what happens when we eat it. Yesterday’s stats: 1263 Calories In / 2530 Calories Out. 49 Net Carbs. 12,126 Total Steps & 4.28 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 39 minutes and felt very tired. I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 42 minutes burning 201 Extra Calories. I enjoyed a movie night last night which did not include any food or snacks. Just a cup of tea with stevia.

So I got escorted out of work by my boss... apparently he contacted HR and they require a work-specific doctor's note be filled out and submitted prior to my return (which they kindly provided me). This is unpaid leave since I have not accrued enough sick time for this year yet. I'm not at all happy... I get the whole liability thing but I work in an office and I was avoiding going into the plant itself, just staying in my office. Guess this is opportunity for me to pack as much as I can, especially since I'm at home and can butt-scoot around my house as much as needed to get things done without seeming improper. At least my tax return looks decent enough to help cover bills but I'm still stressed about unpaid leave with the move and all... I know BF will help as much as possible, but I hate putting any extra money stress on him ): UGH. I just needed to rant.
At least I was smart enough to pack my work computer so I can work from home and at least put in SOME hours to help ease this burden.10
