What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

221.4 this morning. I would like to be 215 by March 13 when we go to Hawaii. Actually as I type this and do the mental math, that is overly aggressive. Trying to lose 6.5 lb in 2 weeks, probably will lead to me being overly good for a few days (too few calories) and then letting the mindless munchies win. So revised goal is under 217. I can do that.10

Lose another 5lb over the next month/ 5 weeks.
Slightly bigger mini goal, be halfway to goal by my 35th bday in August.13 -
My current goal is to up my exercise routine; walk and plank longer and use the hoop a lot more. Spring WILL be here at some point and I want to be ready to walk the hills in my town to improve my overall endurance and hiking abilities.7

to do 15 chin ups in a row....I'm currently able to do 11. Started 4 months ago and barely able to do 2. Want to see how strong your upper body is? do chin ups or even harder, pull ups. (at least for me, it's tough!) Getting stronger every day.9

Curious what's the difference between a chin up and a pull up? I assumed that they were basically the same thing
A chin up, do you just get your chin to the bar? And a pull up, over the bar?
Please enlighten me!0 -

I think I know the answer to this one, and look forward to Hawk's answer
I believe the difference is your hand position as it holds onto the bar - are palms facing towards you, or facing away. My PE teachers back in the day would call palms facing away a chin-up, and palms facing towards you a pull-up. Each version works slightly different muscles - I believe pull-ups relied heavily on bicep muscles.3 -
I should mention, my PE teacher for grades 9-11 was built like a bowling ball on legs & chain-smoked behind the gym between classes, so I may have been misinformed! 😂4

chin ups are palms facing toward/ underhand grip, and pull ups are palms facing away/overhand grip. With the chin ups, I go over the bar with my chin, although just meeting the bar is acceptable too for either.

Interesting... I have always referred to them as underhand/overhand pull ups. You learn something new every day!1 -
I’ve been working to increase my step goal. I averaged 9190 steps per day in February and my mini goal for March is to average 10 000.12

My highest weight was 261 and I felt it! My husband was at 249. We are now at 242 and 233 respectively, losing 31lbs. We started Jan 8th and have a cruise in 8 days. I hope to hit 240 and he 230!9

The size sixteen jeans go all the way up my thighs, but not over my booty yet, and the 1X shirts are loose but still wearable. At the end of the month, I want to be able to say that I lost 25 pounds, and want to be in the jeans and too small for the shirts.10
-
I want my new size 12 to fit better, another 5lb. Then I want them to be too big!9
-
I want to be at 140 for my 60th birthday in November of this year!8
-
To exercise four of the five next weekdays! I have gotten to where I can work out three of the five weekdays consistently, and am ready to add another day!11
-
I want to be under the 200lb mark by my doctor visit in a week. I’m at 202 now. My SW was 226. That will be huge for me.10

I'm only a few pounds away from being in the 150's and once I reach 159 lbs I will have officially lost 20 pounds total!11

This little "mini" goal, or mini person, is motivating me
I want to keep myself accountable and stay healthy and active this pregnancy so I can bounce back faster and be able to keep up with the little one ♥

My blood pressure has spiked the last couple months for the first time in my life and I've already lost my weight and work out, getting my sodium down is the only thing left. I also want to be able to do all the plates on the adductor machine, I'm one plate away and it's so close I can taste it! Planking for 10 minutes too!6

Looking good! I love your leggings, I was always a black leggings and huge tee-shirt person, just got two pairs with designs and I love wearing them! BTW, I have the same Fitbit!1 -
get under 80 kilos. But first lose one more, and then it will be 10 kilos lost since 22 December.3
-
Reached 220 this morning, next mini goal is to reach 210 by March 31. Figure 10 pounds in a month is doable.7
-
My mini goal is to be able to fit into a pair of black jeans I bought last fall that no longer fit even though the blue pair I bought in the same size and style still fit me.4

It's been a pretty eventful - not to mention stressful - 5 weeks but I've finally hit this target.
Mini goal - look good at my friend's wedding in 3 weeks.
Scale goal? Um... 3.4lb from losing another stone. So that, I guess5 -
Revisiting my old step aerobics routines. I'm having a lot of fun.5

Being at a healthy enough weight to be able to have my surgery this summer without worrying about health risks. Hoping to be able to have my surgery done in the children's hospital rather than the main hospital branch! Less crowded, smells better, and not as much as a wait time.8

I'm not sure it's mini, but I want to beat my PR in the Peachtree Road Race this year. I set it 9 years ago on my first attempt.7
-
My goal is to log for my first 5 days--today is day 3. So far, so good.10

Yesterday I ran a (slow) 5k, but I felt GREAT during and after it. I'm looking forward to building up speed and endurance!12

Surpass my Garmin specified step goal 5x/week in March! For February it was 4x/week and I usually did it more often than that. I started pretty sedentary and my goal is now in the 5000s. Today I got over 7000!6
