My goals for 2020 are to stay injury free and healthy. I am also possibly going to try again for my first half marathon.
3/2 - 3.1 miles
3/3. - 3.9 miles
Total- 7 miles - On track for the month.
I reached out to the race organizer and I am doing both races for sure. The 2 miler is first and will be a warm up. I go easy the first mile and push the second mile more. I will push and try to race the 5 miler as much as I can. I am mainly doing this race 1. Because it's a great cause and 2. Most of it is over the same roads I will run in my half if I can stay healthy enough to do it.
March goal : 80 miles
Plan goal: 86 miles
Allowing some leeway for bad weather and life happening.
Races:
March 14:
St. Malachi 2 mile and 5 mile
May 16:
Cleveland Marathon Half and 5k
June 13 - 14:
Run and Ride Cedar Point 5k or Quarter Marathon
September 20:
Cleveland Hero's Run 5 miler
December 5:
Santa Hustle Cedar Point 5k7 -

Huge goal outside of running is to study because I have a looming exam hanging over my head. It's approximately five hours divided up unequally into five different parts. But how this may affect my running is that I'll have to get out with little man during the day instead of in the evening and reserve those evening hours when husband is home for studying.
I registered for this Marathon last week. Like Austin Marathon, my only goal is to finish before time allotted. Then if I run this again in the future, I'll set higher goals and push harder. I'm excited! It's like an ala carte of running with varying races in the morning, afternoon and evening. Just an all day running festival!9 -
I don't remember if I mentioned it, but I am 25% to goal.
Goal was to finish races signed up for. On Sun., I finished the Little Rock Half Marathon.
Remaining:
3/7 Snickers Marathon
3/22 Shamrock Marathon
3/29 Go! St. Louis Half Marathon10 -
@LoveyChar that marathon looks like fun! Enjoy!2

January my uncle died, and in February I was in England with my mum helping to sort his estate, clear out the house and have his service & internment. I got back last week on Sunday & on Tuesday, I had to make the painful decision to put my faithful companion (aka my "fuzzy daughter") of 14 years, my Emma, to sleep thanks to "old dogs disease", a neurological thing that caused her to have no balance & unable to stand. Then my car started acting up. My left knee has been sore for almost a month, and now my right ankle is also sore! So far, 2020? Not a fan.
Anyway, when I was in the UK, I did take lots of walks. Long ones, 3 miles plus. I've not really been consistant since I got back (gee, wonder why?) so I decided to get to it. I do have a 5K in April on the calander, and a Jeff Galloway plan on my calander to guide me (not going to be 100% strict, have to be flexible).
I'm in. Can't give a milage, because I'm going to see how my knee holds up, but I will say my plan is to get back to running 2-3 times per week and still keep up with walking.
@mandabeth34 Your running companion is gorgeous! A Brittany Spaniel? I grew up with them, my father's fave breed. They are a bundle of energy, with personality to boot!12 -
@dreamer12151 So sorry to hear about your Emma.1

March goal: get back to running 2-3 days per week. 5K in April
3/3 - Ran 1.76 miles (total: 1.76 miles)
Found a guided Nike run "Easy Run". Got ready, cued it up...and Mother Nature welcomed me with a nice snowfall! I let Coach Bennett help be through the paces and next thing I knew, I had done it, snow and all. Walk planned for tomorrow.11 -

I will finally be released to workout again post-op on Thursday. Having a few healing issues on one arm so I'm going to start fresh next Monday, but I honestly don't know how much running I'll be able to do right out the gate. The goal for March? Get back to running! By the end of the month if I can run a full mile (though secretly I would like to be back to my 5ks) I'll feel like I'm getting back on track.11

I am 60 posts behind from last night. Posting my run and will go back and read/respond later.
Today was my Tabata Tuesday! Not sure why but every time I try to do a Tabata Tuesday or Thursday it ends up being one of, if not the hottest day of the week. Today (81F so far) was no exception but I decided to go for it anyway. I did 5 sets of 8 intervals. The last set I was dieing but I got them done. Glad I did because my trainer texted to cancel our session tonight. I may get in some upper body at home or head over to the gym on my own. I definitely will be enjoying (not) my foam roller later!
