    Compliments=Flirting
    Am I being naive? Maybe because it’s a fitness site when people compliment people’s bodies, workouts etc. I assume it’s just general encouragement.

    This is why I'm afraid of complimenting a Male on here or elsewhere. Most don't know the difference. I also dont like to give empty compliments. I like to compliment when something really catches my eye and I have to say something. If I leave a winky after my compliment, I'm totally flirting with you ;)

    True. I’m probably overthinking it. But, crazily enough it still kinda surprises me if people always equate one with the other. My brain just works differently.

    Yeah, i mean there’s flirting and there’s flirting. And now I think about it i have had both here. I only knew which was which in hindsight though.

    I was being a bit facetious- some not all dudes will take a compliment as flirting - it depends on the context - some dudes will take a compliment as an excuse to try and get dem nudes tho Amirite- under the guise of - hey I thought you wanted this baby - you just told me how great my calves look 🤷‍♂️
