    Margaret- yes I totally understand they really need to scrub down the schools..my friend is a custodian for a school system and will be working hard and he has 3 little ones under 7 at home...
    I am planning on doing different things with Tal while I have her.. art projects etc...

    Shouldn’t be all on the custodians teachers to parents need to pitch in if they can. Of course a pregnant teacher to parent with a job can’t. The healthier ones to keep them selves safe need to scrub too a simple bucket, ask custodian what cleaner you can use (so it doesn’t react with theirs), y rags toss in the wash at home. Wipe lock doors y go a parent who’s willing can help especially pregnant teachers 👩‍🏫 or elderly ones (of course I understand a parent with a baby at home won’t but ones with older kids or wants their youngest safe needs to get their mask,gloves,goggles start wiping with the teachers. Most Asian countries do this always have they allow students to clean even (here that be a lawsuit from somebody cause the kid touched soapy water before this mess). When I was a kid we stayed behind helped wash the black boards to desks then custodian cleaned the toilets to cafeteria better. The Cafeteria workers already clean them custodian goes over it. Schools are so huge now they need help. Same with the nursing homes I used to visit my older friends I brought cleaners went over their dresser with pledge to wonder the windows. The nurses loved me! Mom was in the hospital I cleaned her room on top of the workers. They loved that too. I got free deserts to food at the nursing homes y Hospital they were that appreciative. Of course I pick up at movie theaters too y stadiums 🏟 (I get free food lol 😂 they always love me). Guess it’s a habit from cleaning for a living to having a Dad who cleaned to worked harder for a living. He’d come home late cause a brat tossed a tantrum through a drink the Mom didn’t help a bit or scold type stories. Daughter hearing mine cleans up too. I hang up clothes at Walmart for the workers even to thrift store they always let me get 1st pick at a sale! How you think I got such great prices on pants lol $4 each recently brand new first pick. We been extra clean at restaurants before this recent mess to make up for JR his potatoe hair messy face y clothes of course their floor to table chairs 🪑. He paints instead of eating... picky picky .

    I have to nag my parents to wash their hands when they come home from shopping. It's a role reversal. May be the start of an excellent healthy habit if they pick it up. I just need to find a training treat!

    As for exercise, I have about an hour's worth of calisthenics and dumbbell work that I do three days a week. It includes planks, crunches, lunges, stretches and waving the weights every which way. I break a sweat and get a little winded by the end. Then I go to the gym for cardio three days a week, but I have been slacking on that lately. I wish they would wipe down the door. I suppose I could wear gloves to get in.

    My mom just bought an extra twelve rolls of paper towels thinking it was toilet paper. Lol. Maybe she will let me do more shopping.

    Annie ~ I have done that forgetting I need TP instead of paper towels. Ended up with a lot as we buy them at Sam's Club by the case. :)

    Greetings from snowy SW WA State. I've been humming Christmas songs all morning, lol. It's warming up and will likely be gone by the end of today.

    Barbie - that photo of your knitted blanket gave me a blast from the past. Before my "thumb trouble" I knitted many baby blankets using that very same pattern. Might be time to dig out the knitting needles and give it another try.

    Tracey - sorry to hear your stores are emptying. I look at it like every day is a day closer to figuring out how to keep this crazy virus under control without disrupting everyone's lives for a long period of time.

    Got an email from my brother his morning, kind of put things into perspective. He said he had suffered Transient Global Amnesia this past week, they did all the tests and he's OK in the brain and bloodwork department. His wife, my SIL, picked up a rotovirus when visiting her sis in AZ and has shared it with everyone including their granddaughter who had otherwise been ill with a gallstone (she is under 2 years old) and now, apparently, hepatitis. GACK. :s Sounds like everyone is on the mend.

    I've been cooking this morning. Decided to throw together a brown rice/black bean cold salad with chopped red & orange peppers, chopped celery and a bunch of sliced up pimento stuffed green olives. And some Feta cheese. Poured a big glug of homemade dressing over it - olive oil, asian sweet vinegar. So should be giving my gut a lot of resistant starch for many days! Likely too many!

    Sticking to my 16 hr fast plan - eye opening to me to not be worrying about restricting fats and carbs. Eating a medium apple instead of a small one. Having a nice big bowl of that rice/bean salad for lunch instead of carefully measuring out half a cup. Eating until satisfied, and getting in plenty of calories. Saving hunger for between 5 pm and 9 am. Will see if this does the trick. Simple and sustainable. Delaying, not denying.

Using the same weights as the Strong Women Stay Young plan, but instead of doing a number of reps and sets, the idea here is to slowww wayyyyy downnnn and do fewer reps, but much deeper if you get my drift. Hold for the burn. Once my potting shed/weight room warms up, I'm going to start this. Tomorrow afternoon the sun and warm days are set to return.

    I love the idea of reaching out via texting/email/phone instead of meeting up with folks right now. Very much appreciate technology during times like this. Plenty to read and do without venturing out.

    And, since I'm not meeting my lady friends for lunch at our favorite bistro, will be ordering take-home from that place when I'm in town. Give them some business, and fewer dishes to wash. ;) Trying to think of other ways to patronize places so they continue to have income but whose customer traffic might be down a bit. We can all pull together and get through this.
