@GrandmaJackie Thanks for your care and comments. I certainly am trying my best to take care of me and my son while also helping my other kids and grandkids get the things they need. While my business is down to zero, I will be able to make it fine for some time because I grew up poor. And once you are poor, you always see yourself as poor so you put water in the bottom of the ketchup bottle, eat the heels of the bread, and know how to cut every corner and make things s..t..r..e..t..c..h and last. And you do this no matter how far you've come and how well off you are now. So financially, I will do just fine. It popped into my head a little while ago that old song I learned a very long time ago in Sunday School - "He's got the whole world in his hands". I believe it is true and it comforts me. I hope it will comfort others around this beautiful world of ours.

Sorry for disappearing last round. There were so many changes to adjust to, and I never seemed to be able to get a post together. 03/18 – 165.8 – Starting this round in a good place. Although I didn’t post last round, I managed weigh in and meet my calorie and exercise goals most days. Today was a pretty good day, despite the grim news reports and increasing restrictions. My online class went pretty well and I met my goals. I’m finding stability in the habits I’ve developed and serenity in my outdoor walks.

69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back walking!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

@TwistedSassette it's the same here. People are emptying out the shelves for nothing, my mom works at a store and they're having to purchase as much every couple of days as they usually would for a month. I couldn't get butter and rice for the kids yesterday because there's none. Can't get meat because they line up at the store half and hour early and everything disappears by the time I can send someone to get it. Stocking up here was absolutely pointless, they called an emergency so they can close restaurants and have strict border measures, but the damn stores remain open and we're allowed to go out, just encouraged not to gather with a lot of people. All of those that stocked up and emptied the shelves because of panicking they'll get sick if they go out later were pushing in between hundreds of people in lines, how is that safer than going out for 20 minutes once every few days with a mask to get just what you need as usual boggles my mind. Scared humans turn into something scarier than what they're afraid of without even realizing it half the time.8

@kecward78 - congrats on the job front, it's really good newa for your future. Sorry to hear your Mom's diagnosis, dementia is such a cruel illness for the person and their loved ones, but good that she will get some care whilst you are at work, make sure you take it as you will need it.

Hello everyone! I'm back again. Crazy time to go on a diet, isn't it? Last round I fell off the wagon. This round I'm going to work on staying consistent.

3) eat home cooked food 5 days a week and eat in moderation!

Round 107 end weight (3/17) 👆 63.3 but I expect it was actually 62.7 and the jump was due to excess salt the previous day. I will know in about 24 hours if my weight drops back down.

03/18 - 164.7 I'm really losing track of my goals. I haven't worked out in 9 days and I completely binged out on snacks yesterday. I'm definitely in a downward spiral. I usually track my weeks from Sunday through Saturday which means I'd keep on this path and start fresh on Sunday. That's too long. I am starting fresh today. I can do this. Please help hold me accountable!

03/19 - 148.4 - I was afraid of this... So many carbs and a lot of mindless eating (including ice cream which bloats me like no other) and barely any water. Last day of work, they're taking me to lunch then I turn in my stuff. Still can't find my office keys. I swear they're in my office but I don't remember where and today is my only opportunity to look. Oh well. BF wants to pack the Uhaul Saturday morning and take off right after. Going to be a long day (even longer for him since he drives in Friday evening, that's a quick turnaround). Lots of stress. Lots of cleaning to do today. Taking the last of the packed items down so I can clean. I'm not looking forward to the cleaning of my kitchen. Really not that bad, just hate it.

Previous Day's Comments03/18 - I honestly forgot about it. I have an ick "head cold" (not the virus, its from the sudden change with allergies to/from TX). Just a slightly stuffy nose and some mucus that's drained to my throat. Woke up with cotton mouth and chugged water before I ever even got out of bed. Forgot I was going to weigh in today until I got out of bed a few minutes later. Oops! I think I know where my claritin is and I'm going in search of it through the packing madness in my house. Definitely need to focus on my water, I'm so dehydrated. My skin and body are showing it (like giving myself a bloody lip this AM when it cracked from dryness). I'm sure it'll also help with hunger as yesterday I could NOT be satisfied. I'd eat and still be hungry. It was madness. Today should be better, especially with water. Going to make some tea, as well, for caffeine since I already packed and moved my coffee pot. Body slowly adjusting to less and less caffeine throughout this, at least. I will weigh in 2 more days and then hopefully have a chance next week sometime once I start unpacking. I'd like to see some progress during this round, but only time will tell...

I really like this site because they explain so much about sourdough along with the recipe and this recipe has given me the best results for fluffier bread. Sourdough can be dense in the beginning. They have a bunch of recipes on their site that you can use the sourdough for more than just bread like pancakes, cake, etc.6 -
