I’m so confused!! I posted last entry twice. I can’t tell if I erased the right stuff on this one…sorry, ladies. Not sleeping well!
Carol Thank you for the pogo recommendation. I’m always looking for games to help my brain!
Allie So sorry you were injured!!
Alabaster That’s some wild weather!
Dr. Katie Your bagels look delish!!
Tracey Yes, hairdressers are closed here. I meant when things open back up again.
Cathy Your Angel is beautiful! I love animals! I also want to eat your dessert and drink the coffee drink!! 😊 I hate being away from my grandchildren in Florida! It is always a quarantine from them except on vacation. Thankfully, we are still seeing our little one.
Rebecca Athena asleep…awwwwww!
Sue The deer are beautiful!
Tina Thanks to the people who have become addicts, chronic pain patients have a tough time these days. I went to the ER with pain that kept me awake 3 days straight…they gave me Tylenol. I told them I needed to get rest. They wouldn’t admit me or give me anything to help. I left crying (I never cry) and felt they had broken their oath by not helping me. I hadn’t taken anything strong for pain in a few years when that happened. It was the weekend, so I couldn’t call my regular doctor. After another 24 hours, I finally fell asleep and got 9 hours of sleep! I woke up a new person!! Ice is normally best friend – I also use Lidocaine patches and biofreeze…if I lived in a state where marijuana was legal, I would have a card. My doctor is very much in favor of it.
Kim What kind of snake is that? We used to have a red rat. It was a wonderful pet!
Thanks for the love about Rocky. We are scheduled to take him to the vet Thursday. If we don't do anything else, I don't want him to be in pain!! Will ask about CBD for him!

Did Cathe Friedrich’s Circuit Sweat DVD. This is pretty good. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Peak 10 More Cardio DVD.
I just found out that a friend of mine has IPF. He’s in stage 2. The doc gives him 3 more years in this stage. He said that he couldn’t do ceramics. I wonder why? It’s not like doing ceramics is very strenuous. And I would think that the comradeship would be good for him mentally. Plus…we could keep an “eye” on him.
Our vet when we lived in PA one time was “babysitting” for a friend. She had their pet kangaroo in her office. It was just funny to see this kangaroo hopping about the office!
Bananas – Vince said he wants to talk to Jess privately, so I suspect he’ll probably wait until Colby leaves. Colby doesn’t seem to have a problem putting dishes in the dishwasher. It’s really not that much of a financial hardship, we can make do and have a lot of hot dogs and hamburgers. In many ways they seem to be older chronologically but not really mentally. I don’t know. Yet, Jess is very motivated to go to vet school. Colby doesn’t seem to have any desire to advance his education (he doesn’t have a college degree)
Barbara – don’t you run the knife between two of the disks? I guess the reason the Salvation Army is open is because the money they generate from the store goes towards food/someplace to sleep/etc. for the homeless. Now Habitat for Humanity is closed here and so is Goodwill. You’re right, I am doing most of this for others and I will certainly be careful. I’ll probably only see two people, maybe 1. Everything else I’ll just be leaving on people’s porches.
Lanette – I was thinking of Lenora the other day, too. A while ago I messaged her. She hasn’t been on MFP for 6 months. I never got a response, which isn’t like her. I’m going to try again. I wonder if I still have her phone number?
It’s cool now, but it was raining this morning. Rain just about stopped
Well, I did all my running around and only saw one person! Vince had to go to WalMart and he exclaimed how crowded it was!
Told Denise we were getting her a car seat for PJ’s birthday, she liked the one we picked out only she wants one with a cup holder for his drink and a snack. KJ – what are your thoughts? To me, a cup holder increases dramatically the chances that he’ll spill and how do you clean the car seat? I think it has material seat. I remember for my kids I had one that had vinyl but then I had a material cover that I could take off and wash whenever a spill occurred. Snacks? They make crumbs. And what if he chokes on food. I don’t think I let the kids eat in the car seat, at least not while the car was moving
Pam – welcome! Judging from your “name”, sounds like you, Rebecca, Amber, and a few others have a lot in common
Mahjongg (online) tonight!
The lady who gave me the plastic silverware for the soup kitchen also gave me a lot of plastic containers. Personally, I don’t think the soup kitchen wants them since there aren’t hundreds, but I’ll ask them anyway and if they do, then I’ll take them on Friday.
Penny – beautiful table setting. I love all your pics of your area
Vince said in a few days he’ll need to go to WalMart to get a prescription and at that time we’ll get the propane tank refilled.
Barbara – I looked for my tomato slicer. I KNOW I had it. I must have gotten rid of it thinking it was a cheese slicer. Looks like I’ll need to get a new one
One of the few things that I totally dislike is peanut butter. I tried grinding my own once for the kids when they were little and decided it was more work than I wanted to do, especially since I couldn’t stand the smell
Pip – so sorry about the airstream. Thank goodness neither of you were in it when it happened. Neither of you were, were you?
Made some mini chocolate cupcakes for Vince and Jess. Maybe tomorrow I’ll make the icing.
Love all the pics and really look forward to seeing the baby ones.

Pam in Louisiana: Welcome!!!!
Penny: Beautiful table! :flowerforyou:
I’m happy to report that the dog’s visit to the vet for his toe injury was very productive. His toe injury is not going to be a big problem; it will heal on its own. We need to keep it bandaged for a while to keep dirt out of the wound. That is a very nice relief.
I am home and feeling lucky to be here. The weather is sunny and the view of the river is always changing and interesting.

Pharmacists and pharmacy techs are most definitely on the front line. No question.
So sorry about your Airstream. I'm a bit annoyed with Kirby for scaring you, though. He should just say "the Airstream got hit", not "I've got bad news".
Geez.
(((Hugs))), dear Pip. I know you immediately thought about Lenny when he said he had "bad news".
Love ya, Pip.

lmao ! you're right, i'm gonna tell him myself, like, dude, that's not the thing to say to me right now.4 -

Well, I overhear Jess saying to Colby "we'll get Shadow". What's happening? Then I see her tailgate open and say "are you going somewhere". "yes, I'm going with him (meaning Colby)". I said to her "well, it would have been nice if you had told me". I probably shouldn't have said that. Looks like Vince won't get a chance to talk to her. She said she's planning to stay there until the end of the semester, do her finals here and she has a job in Charlotte at a Banfield there. So she'll be gone for about 3 weeks.
I just get the impression that she's saying in not so many words "well, you wouldn't let Colby stay another week, so I'm going to punish you by going with him". But still, would 2 weeks have turned into 3 and then 4? But the truth of the matter was that it was she who misinterpreted what Vince said.

Michele-I take the cup holders off ours! They don’t hold tall bottles or sippercup anyways only short ones with no handles so what’s the point! I see it as a danger if theirs an accident just another piece to go flying in a car crash like a boulder! They do not snap on they just sit there y remove easily so baby can remove it on mine, plus we like him on the safest spot adviced or seatbelt type for that car seat 💺.JRs last car seat (back detaches later on) has to be used with a shoulder belt now so passenger back seat.. before that middle back seat or the same as now depending on the vehicle our truck has anchor belts but not in the middle but my Dads truck it’s middle y sides.

Pip, yep I agree with some of the of the ladies, the "I've got bad news" intro put you in survival mode, and he just needs to know that. Men sometimes don't realize, there are ways to explain, then there's ways to explain that put you in an unsettling head space. We know your Kirby didn't mean to.💖. I hope your Airstream heals up soon. How could a person not miss that shiny pretty thing?!

Michele Salvation Army is open here to serve meals. I think everyone will be happier if Jess goes to stay with Colby.
I don't have a blender or a food processor or any desire to own either one. If my only complaint is buying peanut butter in a jar, I should just shut up.
Pip, sorry about the Airstream

This is why you need to sit down together and talk ... not just speculate.Michele I think everyone will be happier if Jess goes to stay with Colby.

But I agree with this as well.
As an adult, it is difficult staying with parents for an extended period of time. I know ... I did it when I was taking my Bachelor of Education!! Fortunately, I was able to move out for a couple semesters to break things up a bit.

Had a couple of good days tracking and got my exercise in. The weather has been very nice, so I've been walking around the school block twice (total 2.4 miles)
Quite a few taking advantage of the weather to do the same.
I'm using a walking app that has drink water reminders too. It's really helping me to drink, sends an onscreen reminder periodically.5 -
Saw a scissortail flycatcher and a cottontail on my walk tonight. I still am not able to upload pics on here, not sure why. I tapped on the camera and chose the pic, but there is no upload or check mark to complete the process4

Amber – thanks for your take on a car seat with cup holders. Denise says she wants them. She wants all the bells and whistles, regardless if they’ll be used or if they are even a good idea. These are good things for her to think about. I bet she hasn’t thought of them. I’m also going to text her about what would happen if they hit a bump while he was drinking. And if it was milk, there is no way you can get that smell out, and it’ll only get worse in summer. Also, how do you get crumbs out? I never thought of an accident, but you are right.
You know, even Vince agrees that when Colby wasn’t here, Jess was a different person, more helpful. But it seems like once he came down, she started to take us for granted. At least, that’s the way we feel. So now she’s gone for a few weeks. In a way, it’s hard to talk to her. She has a problem with interpretation. This isn’t the first time she’s misinterpreted something. I said to her “he can stay a few days but a week is kind-of pushing it” because I know that if I just said “he can stay a few days” she’d interpret that to mean a whole week. She wouldn’t ask how many is a few. To me, a few is 2 or 3. When it was just her here, she would eat the food that was in the house. When Colby came down, they’d go out and bring something back, never even saying that they were going out, much less asking us if we’d like something. That’s really not a big thing at all, but it would have been considerate. In one sense, and I would never ask her, I can’t help wondering if she’s in a way using Colby because he’ll loan her money or take her out to eat. But I know that she’ll feel a sense of obligation. Well…it’s her life.
Helped Vince move the new TV. It’s heavy, but we did it. Yes, we moved it in stages. Professional movers would probably have done it all in one step. But we still did it!
Evidently, there’s a problem with Rover (the robotic cleaner for the pool). Vince is talking about buying a new one. Well, this one IS 8 years old. To fix it would most likely mean that it would have to be shipped to CA and that’s going to be expensive. We would probably also have to pay the shipping back. Then there would be a charge for them to even look at it. Then if parts are needed, installation. For an 8 year old? But the pool looks clear, now for Mother Nature to cooperate and get that pool warmed up!!!

Maybe the problem is that I am trying to do it on my phone ( can't do copy /paste) but that does give me another option, screenshot the photo from my Gallery1 -
It's not allowing me to do that either. It doesn't allow me to copy/paste, nor insert a screenshot1

We are hoping to Zoom this morning for Max's homework that DH set him. They are working on some chocolate questions.
I will have to wash my hair and put some face on, but I usually feel better anyway if I can get myself to do that. The time my son chose, 11.30, doesn't suit us very well, as we both have our writing time then, but I can see why it suits Max. I think Edie will be showing us the answers to the gymnastics questions. DH has recently been working on some insect questions. It keeps him happy and occupied! The tasks I set them have not materialized as I think they are a bit beyond the teaching capacity of my son, or his wife! They involve dressing up and acting.
Another lovely day. There has been no rain for weeks. Blue skies. Gardeners and farmers are beginning to get concerned. I think it's a running day, but I don't like it too warm.
Hope to make the brownies today. I'm making a chicken curry for dinner in the IP.
Felt a bit sad when I woke up early. Our cruise ship would have been coming in to Dover for the end of the trip. Felt as sad as if I had really been away! I could almost hear the engines! But I am happy that we missed the gloomy, cold weather up there. Here it's been fabulous.
Much love to all. Heather UK xxxxxxxx6
