I picture sitting on a towel so personal bits aren’t on the furniture?

TIna, my comments were meant to address chronic pain where a diagnosis has been made. For those patients, there should be a pain management plan in place that addresses weekends, etc., and keeps chronic pain patients out of ERs. ERs should be reserved for emergencies and urgent issues. Your mister doesn't have a diagnosis. That's very different. Without a diagnosis and plan, no one is at the helm in managing or even understanding his pain.
Chronic pain is life-sucking. It can take all the joy out of life.
I am all for CBD products, and in states where THC is legal, it can be the difference between a decent quality of life and sheer misery. Creams may not deliver a high enough "dose" for more severe pain. It's really important to get a diagnosis and a plan, and I hope you are able to find the right specialist to pin it down for you.

Well, he won't go to Urgent Care anyway. Thinks it'll be a huge waste of time. I can't drag him. Thanks for your comments. They are very insightful.4 -
Tina So sorry. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Hello all: DD is in the kitchen trying a new recipe for no yeast soda bread since we cannot find any yeast here. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. It is cloudy and cool here today so we are working on inside things. I am supposed to be getting some yarn delivered by FedEx today to make an afghan for DD's friend. Our water leak is fixed and we are extremely happy about that. Applied for a refund from United Airlines for ticket I purchased for a trip to Denver on May 5. Found out today they cancelled that flight but I had decided not to go anyway.

I have oogles! The one time I was playing doubles tennis, and I was running so fast I created "upper body momentum", and fell, did a perfect somersault and stood back up! No bruises, just my pride! I think my partner clapped because he was amazed I was so crazily acrobatic!😁. Can your whole dang body blush? Why, yes it can!😂😂

Karen - I just love the “view from my window” pictures you are sharing.
Tina - my daughter had two slipped discs and another that was slipping, she suffered tremendously for 2 years before finally getting surgery. She was offered opioids as if they were candy but she only used cannabis for pain management. She said it was a trial and error about how much to take and how often to keep the pain at bay but she was quite pleased with the results.
Katla - all of Canada has legalized cannabis and all provinces so far has considered it an essential service although I think I heard Ontario is going to cancel the essential service title. One province said that they preferred to keep the stores open to help people that were used to having it and also they were fearful if they closed the black market would open up and they couldn’t risk having to police that during this time.
I don’t know if you have heard about the tragedy in Nova Scotia, I won’t go into details but if you are interested google Nova Scotia and I’m sure you’ll understand what I mean very quickly. With the news from there and the daily Covid updates I came to the conclusion that I had to find something to do to lighten my heart, so on Sunday I dug out my Mom’s diaries. I have travelled back in time to 82 through 85 so far. I am a carefree teenager and so loved by my parents and family. I have learned how come so many of my friends and acquaintances still ask me how my Mom is and all that she did for everyone.
Today at work I was busy working away when my phone rang, it was my Mom’s nursing home calling via Facebook video messenger. I talked to Mom for almost 20 minutes. She had a great laugh about me reading her diaries and told me not to tell her secrets.

Did a Michelle Dozios Peak 10 More Cardio Interval Burn DVD. I don’t think I’ll keep this one. It’s mostly kickboxing and I’m just not a kickboxing fan. Not for the whole DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Bob Harper Totally Ripped to the Core Workout.
Plan to make more yogurt, then use that for making pops. Want to make a spinach feta pie (haven’t had that in a while) and the icing for the cupcakes. Have the milk cooling for the yogurt right now. Update: everything done, yogurt in IP right now.
Penny – I never thought of the dust! But wouldn’t a mask eliminate it?
Anne DE – what’s the story in DE regarding opening? I would think they’d be more cautious than GA because of its close proximity to NY and NJ
Sue in WA – AWWWW
Rebecca – what a site in my mind!

Hi Gals,
The snake I was holding was a gopher snake, it eats small rodents mostly. A great thing to have in a garden.
Katla – My mom is 45 minutes each way and 2 counties away (it is against the rules here to cross county lines unless you are caring for an at risk individual)
Michele – IPF is a lung condition if I googled it correctly – he should be in full quarantine Covid19 could kill him. Also the ceramic dust would probably be hard on his lungs.
Thinking of everyone.

Still here, just treading water.
Yeast flares up again. Dr prescribed meds and told me to quit eating sweets! I know this but....stress = more eating rigt= easy grab=candy. I did better today.
MIL back in hospital. Saw oncologist today. Dr doesn't recommend chemo. She feels MIL isn't a good candidate. Too weak. Dr saws 6 months max. My oldest says she doesn't think that long based on symptoms. She is still clogged up, hasn't eaten more than 1/2 cup of solids in over a month, says feels like drowning when she drinks, throwing up. Oh, now has blood clots in both legs(hence why back in hospital). I believe her family and i just want her to be comfortable enough to enjoy her last days outside visiting with my Sara and the flowers.
Thank you all for your support!
Hugs to all suffering!
Congratulations to all for our everyday victories!

Just reading and keeping up with everyone.... isolating and walking and doing oodles of yard work... The last three days have been cutting down my clematis...a plant I put in 1998. It was beautiful and gave me so much pleasure. This year the neighborhood had a winter with trouble with rats. My DH had his trucks wires nibbled by a rat and cost us almost $300. The neighbor across the street had rats get in her crawl space and her walls.... And Ella caught several rats this winter. I decided to open up the yard, so we wouldn't have brush where the rats could hide. In the clematis vines, I've found two rat nests. I just can't bring myself to cut down my honeysuckle but they aren't such dense brush like the clematis.
Wishing everyone well,

Michele NC, *snorts*, some things, you had to have been there, to understand. I did make a lot of life stories while being a nudist. Not that I am not one, just not practicing the lifestyle. With husband never being able to lie in the sun ever again, its a way of life that's not practical. I do miss it. It was a gift I gave myself to walk in the sun, liberating. 💖

Tracey - The Nova Scotia news was on our BBC news. So sad for Canada. Glad you were able to chat with your mum.
I am working through my teenage diaries for my memoir. They amuse me now, though the misery was real at the time. I have boxes of my old adult journals in the attic. They would not be edifying. Haven't glanced at them since I wrote them. When I look back at my old life, pre DH, I think "What was I thinking?"
To have a happy childhood is a wonderful gift. No wonder you love and miss seeing your mum so much.
Another cloudless day. I have a Zoom session planned with 'the girls' this afternoon. If I have an easy dinner I might get these brownies baked! Must write this morning after exercise.
Yesterday I lost my 144 day streak with Duolingo as the cruise would have ended and I somehow forgot to practice my Norwegian. Oh well. It must be a sign.

Greetings from sunny Florida.
The days are flying by which is good and bad. One would think they would slow given the current situation, but I am finding they are moving very quickly. I think by keeping busy and sticking to a somewhat normal schedule has helped keep boredom and depression far, far away. Work certainly helps too.
Many things to be grateful for today.- I awakened to another day on this sweet earth. The planet that continues to support us even with all of the abuse we have given to her over the years.
- The hot cup of coffee I am enjoying.
- Smokey the cat who is my cheery, early-morning companion.
- The ice maker! It continues to crank out ice no matter how much I use. And, it has been a lot over these past 95+ degree days.
Sending positive thoughts and prayers.

SHARON and RITA I love celery but have never grown it. How do I do it.
DH has planted tomato and is waiting for flower seeds to grow my fuchsias are all growing and we’ve lots of marigolds which have survived the winter. Pot with white tulips looking good.
Coincidence talking of celery, I received my new toy yesterday a soup maker ( I know who needs one lol) but I love gadgets and hate cooking. Going to try it today guess what’s planned (celery soup)
DH and I binge watched series 3 of Ozark just loved it.
Went for walk for an hour yesterday gorgeous weather not sure about today as it might be too hot.
Every Tuesday prior lockdown we used to go to town, meet friends and enjoy live music in various bars. One singer in particular is fabulous and his daughter just as good. They have been live streaming on Facebook every Tue evening. Unfortunately they are not putting sessions on YouTube. 3 years ago they were on Britain’s got Talent
Getting really fed up with this lockdown
Just loving my new iPad mini can do stuff I couldn’t do on the other one like having 2 screens open side by side much bigger memory and faster too
Stay safe catch up later

Another glorious day here in SFL. The cool front is still with us and I am relieved to have some dryer air. It is way too early for 80% humidity (this is without it raining). The past two mornings when I was sitting outside easing in to the day I could feel the sweat building up. This was with no movement – just sitting.
Katla – The pumpkin bran muffins are delicious. I froze half of the batch to enjoy sometime in the near future. Was glad to read the puppies toe injury is not serious.
Tina – Sending positive thoughts to DH. Quite honestly if my primary would not schedule me in knowing my situation I would be looking for another primary. If happy with primary it may be time to seek out a specialist.
Peanut butter – Interestingly enough it is not something missing from the shelves here. I did buy some when the news started mentioning shelter in place because it is a good protein food. It was also on buy one, get one here and is good to have on hand for hurricane season which is right around the corner.
Machka – I love Cosmos. They are one of my favorites. Trash here is picked up twice a week, bulk trash once a week, and recyclables once a week. I do live in a very developed area. This schedule is the standard in SFL. I will say it is probably due to the heat. I can take my trash out to the can and it can stink up a storm by the end of the day. Only 100 emails. If I am out a week and do not check email the entire time I am out of the office I would start with over 1,000 emails. I do not have to respond to all, but must read all of them to get up-to-date.
Food processor – My knives!
Pip – Sorry to hear about the Airstream. What a PITA!
Michelle – Jess and Colby are grown up. When I initially read your stories I thought both were late teens, early 20s! When I asked for Jess’ age I was taken back. I think you have tipped toed enough with her. I think the next time around you should speak your mind and set the expectations you expect (not hope for). It would probably help if both you and Vince have the conversation with her/them at the same time. It seems to me both Jess and Colby are playing the go ask mom, then go ask dad game we all played when we were 13. I will say I think the social experiment with that particular generation where everyone got a trophy for participation, even if participation meant sitting on one’s butt, did more damage than the good it was meant to do.
Heather – The brownie recipe looks delicious. I will not be making them any time soon. I would not be able to control myself!
Barbie – I would never have identified you as shallow!
Karen – Love the views from your windows!
Lanette – I also need a dust buster. It is especially helpful for cleaning around the cat’s litter box. I had an off brand that died after 20 years. I am still researching vacuums – I am leaning towards the Shark, but must see in person. Everyone raves over the Dyson until they die which is typically between 3-5 years. My Bissell lasted almost 30 and I would hate to spend the money on a Dyson, if it died 3 years later – I would be cursing.
Sue – Oh, I love the little kitty faces!
Kim – Love the picture of you with the snake. Yes, a keeper for the garden.
Kylia – Sending positive thoughts and prayers for dear MIL.
Hugs to all and prayers for those in need.

Happy 50th anniversary of Earth Day all!
Kay thanks for mentioning the 400 steps several times a day. That’s just one line dance. I can do that.
Viv I couldn’t get the sound to work on my laptop for Zoom, turned out my laptop has speakers but no microphone. I have to zoom with my iphone for people to hear me
Lanette I my Dyson v7 ultimate cordless stick vac . I pull it out frequently for little jobs, and it converts easily from floor to dust buster style for furniture, car etc. At $350 the “ultimate” model is way more spendy than any dust buster but with auto registration you get every attachment imaginable. The battery has lasted 40 minutes on regular (not max) suction, and it’s way quieter than any other vacuum we’ve ever had. It picks up spruce needles and long doublecoated dog hair beautifully. https://www.dyson.com/sticks/dyson-v7-overview.html
Renaissance women
Pip You’re quite a looker too! The two of you make a hot couple!
Machka a year with that doorless toilet? You are made of stern stuff!
Heather the masked and gloved stone dog!
Rita is there magic in the water to grow that celery? Do you keep it outside or in the fridge?
Rebecca Athena Rose and her mom sitting in the playpen.
Amber likewise JR and the bubble.
Sue in WA Likewise Rinn and Oskar.
Karen in VA keep those “View from my window” pics coming. They lift the heart!
Tracey :brokenheart: for the Nova Scotia news.
Welcome @ShredWeek1! Jump in the water’s fine!
Kylia :
Betsy Is Ella a cat or a terrier?
Penny that WOW midnight sunset/sunrise.
SuziQ If my $350 Dyson lasts 3 years it will have outlasted my $200 Bissell by a year. Chalk it up to inflation. We won’t even talk about the $400 Roomba back in Idaho. So far I really love the Dyson, and am glad I bought the oldest least expensive version, but the model with the most goodies.
Oh and Barbie you had a saying about apples and being hungry, would you repost? I’m going to apples more often lately, with gratitude.
Today I have to go into town to pick up rx and take Tumble to the groomer. Surprised she is open when people salons are closed, but grateful, Tumble needs a bath and nail trim. Would normally hit the Farmers’ Market and Grocery Outlet but am holding it down to just Freddie’s and the Post Office. First time into town in a week.
