I'm sorry T. That's difficult for you both. You being there for her and supporting her will mean so much to her. Whenever I told my parents I was being bullied (physically and verbally) they told me to suck it up. So I really admire you for showing her that support and compassion. I hope the bullies get a big dose of karma somewhere along the line, but mostly I hope your daughter doesn't internalise those words and knows her worth. Sending hugs 🤗
She's at school today and called me on her lunch break and everything seems to be fine. I also called the school this morning so they are aware of what happened. Kids don't realize how much words and actions can hurt. I know for myself, I'm still hurt by things I've been told so I hope it doesn't stick to her too long. I'll continue to be there for her and make her feel the best she can about herself. She has blocked everyone that has bullied her and she does have a good group of friends ❤
I feel this so acutely. My child has recently come out and changed their name and pronouns, which is hard for many many people to handle. The amount of teasing, mistakes, intentional ignorance, and outright hatred they have endured... It's heartbreaking watching them come home in tears over and over.
The school is trying, the teachers are trying, many friends are trying, but there are many many who are using homophobic slurs, insults, and intentional misuse / mocking.
As a parent, it is so devastating seeing the pain that others can inflict (intentionally or otherwise) on our kids... And feel pretty powerless to help.
Big hugs to you momma, and to your child. Sometimes people really really suck. ❤️

Agreed. It's pretty challenging to be a kid, or to parent one, now a days. I have no ide what I'm doing half the time.0 -

I love QT and when we're traveling north it's the only gas station we stop at. It's like a buffet of all drinks and then some... all kinds of coffees with all kinds of creamers, milkshakes, teas, sodas, smoothies, make your own slushies with probably 30 different options and I'm missing alot... I'll have to try the hot chocolate one day!1 -

I can fall asleep anywhere but I may not stay asleep anywhere. I do get some sort of anxiety in unfamiliar places that will wake me a million times.1 -

I have been eating my feeling lately. I wish I exercised them instead. Finding that fault in myself makes me sad, so I eat about it. A vicious cycle.

A picture hanging in my office. The picture is of me in a Christmas parade. A snapshot in time 30 years ago captured on a disposable camera. The remarkable thing about the picture is who is clearly seen standing in the crowd behind me; my boss, his wife, and her mother. For the past five and a half years I've worked with all three at the same office. That picture hung in my Mama's house for all that time and I worked here four years before we noticed they were the people in it. A single moment in time 30 years ago and we're all there. It still trips me out sometimes when I look at it.

Kind of excited for tomorrow morning. I've been in pj's since my surgery last week and it's been making me feel depressed. My friend is coming over in the morning to do my hair and makeup ❤ I have such caring friends.16

I was on a FaceTime call with my boyfriend earlier, the connection sucks where he is and it always freezes. Tonight it froze and it looked like I had 4 chins. He said good night beautiful... I know he was lying 😆 😅5
