24 Hours of Exercise per Month Challenge - JUNE 2020

Here's the 24 hour challenge thread for JUNE. Let's do it again!! And welcome to any newcomers!

The goal is to accomplish at least 24 hours of exercise during the month.(MORE IS GREAT) Any type of activity that you would log in your exercise diary counts (both cardio and strength training) ~ walking, running, paddling, biking, swimming, gardening, weight training, dancing, HIIT, aerobics, elliptical, rowing, circuit training, stretching, etc. You get the idea.

For you BEASTS out there (you know who you are), if you want to do more, just post your personal goal that is over the baseline challenge goal.

And for anyone who wants to join part of the way through, just post a comparable goal to finish out the month (for example, joining half way through, post a goal of 12 hours).

There is no group for this and no private messages needed. No fancy spreadsheets either, just report your running totals here in the thread.

    Hmmm....Not gonna lie, THIS is a challenge! I thought "Oh, 24 hours? I can do that!" Yet still I failed last month. So, until I can accomplish it, I will stick with the baseline, hopefully since I am starting at the beginning of the month this time and with an actual plan that will help.

    GOAL: 24 hours - 1440 minutes

    6/1 - Walked 2.75 miles - 51 mins (51 mins done, 1389 remains)

    Registered for virtual Bellin Run 10K anytime between June 6 & June 21 ~ I'll definitely miss the crowds of participants & spectators, always such a fun event.

    I have a lot on my plate this month - growing my business and doing the "grunt" work myself. So...going to set goal at a modest 30 hours.

    June 1: 20 minutes of yoga, rest
    June 2: 20 minutes of yoga, 60 minute walk

    I'm more than happy to join the challenge in June! 💪

    My plan is to workout 5 times a week (60 min. sessions) and to walk at least 30 min. every day in addition to my normal day activity. Therefore, I'm setting my June goal to be 36 hours.

    June 1: 70 min. Tabata with Lily + 40 min. fast walking
    June 2: 55 min. Strength and Cardio + 45 min. fast walking

Event miles of each participant aggregated at end of May = 2,105 miles. For every 50 miles, a pair of shoes will be donated to an area healthcare or janitorial worker = 42 pairs of shoes!     Back in for June! Hit my target for May and it really motivated me to get out more often.

    Goal: 24hrs - at least 12hrs non walking activities

    Yikes! Did my walk yesterday, took my shower & got stuck into homework all day, so I forgot to check in here! Who says only 2 classes & summer semester would be easier?

    @KJLaMore Hopefully your plumbing issues are behind you now & it wasn't anything too serious?
