Hello. Today I am at 210. My short term goal is to get to the 190(s) this summer. And the long term goal is 175 and evaluate. According to the charts I should be at 155 but I just don't even remember being that small!8

Have a great Tuesday, today my goal is to drink a lot of water and avoid extra salt. Any of you guys struggling with water weight?

Ate a peanut butter sandwich soaked in chicken broth for dinner, and a cup of pudding. Which has my calories up, but it isn't satisfying. I like things that crunch and are chewy, and that's just not doable right now. But I go get this dealt with tomorrow morning, so I will be able to have a good dinner tomorrow night.
I did precooking today, and made a quichecake with chopped bacon, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese for breakfasts for the week. Boyfriend and Girlfriend both eat that for breakfast, and a 9 x 12 pan lasts about a week. I also made crab cakes, and instead of having the planned meal, I just gave him a couple crab cakes and asparagus for dinner, because I wasn't going to get to eat and he got so excited about the crab cakes. (grin) Now that they're baked and fried up, they will rewarm in a low oven on a cookie sheet when we want them.
This is going to sound SO gross but give it a try: put chicken in a food processor to make it easier to chew while your teeth give you issues. I did this while I was recovering from bariatric surgery and it helps SO much and it's better for you than the PB sandwich. You can also mix a little mayo in and have a chicken salad. Mix in some mashed cauliflower for added nutrients.3 -

@sweetirish I love thinking of months as levels! Only, if this is how 2020's going, I don't want to get to the final boss.
Love when I can recognize another gamer!4 -
Peanut butter sandwiches on occasion are comforting. I'm getting some work done today, so it will be better tomorrow. Unfortunately I can't eat cauliflower without Dire Intestinal Consequences. (Alas. I love it pan-roasted with Indian spices)4

I have the same issue with cauliflower (broccoli and cabbage, too)😭2 -
Please help. I want to wear this outfit, I think, but I'm scared it looks bad/stupid.
I need some honest opinions from other women because my husband would tell me I looked great in a lime green and purple polka dot burlap sack and that is kind but unhelpful. Please excuse the dirty mirror.

@Terytha I think you look great.3

Hello! I'm here with my weigh in from last week. I lost a little weight! not much, but it's something. My goal for this Friday is to see 206 even, or a little less. I've been exercising mostly regularly, kind of drinking more alcohol than I would like, and having occasional binges- but I've been logging everyday and that is a success for me.

I've been away from MFP for almost 4(!) years now. I have slipped into a lot of my old unhealthy habits. I'm kind of nervous about connecting with new people. I know I can DO this.... But there's so far to go.

I am going back to Sunday posts to read what I missed.
@speyerj I haven’t read all of your post and I am diagnosing that you were depleted of electrolytes. Yep I was about right! Something similar happened to me. I have hemochromatosis. When I was 1st diagnosed they had me giving blood every 2 weeks for 10- 12 weeks. Near the end after having given blood and drinking plenty afterwards I got dizzy and almost fainted later that late afternoon/evening when I got home. I almost fell but was close enough to my bed to fall back in it. I couldn’t get out of bed. My husband and son helped me into the car and took me to urgent care. They couldn’t figure it out. They said I had gotten enough liquids and I had never had trouble giving blood before. Then they took my blood pressure lying down. I couldn’t stand. Then they helped me to stand and took it again to compare. Then they knew what the problem was. I was depleted of electrolytes. Now when I have my blood drawn I have some Gatorade (I haven’t found coconut water I like yet). I just usually have a small glass since I don’t like it. I drink orange juice when I am having a blood draw. I think part of the problem that day before I went in I had been drinking ice tea and not water. Later though I had a lot of water to make up for it. I am glad that my main medical problem is highly treatable without medication. I just get my blood drawn if my iron is high. This is why I avoid beef and turkey and eat chicken, lamb and pork if I am having meat. They said I need my vegetables so I don’t avoid any of those but I avoid things with added iron like most breakfast cereals. I hope you get back to a modified routine and feel better soon.
@torihudson6 good job closing those rings. I got a Fitbit Versa instead of the Applewatch and loved it but it started to irritate my skin. I could wear it into the pool when I did Aquafit. I miss it.
@BrownSugar I hope you have a Happy Birthday. I love that you had such a great check up. Congratulations to you and your daughter! Glad she got a job right away in this market. My daughter will graduate at the end of the summer. She will be doing her Capstone project this summer. Love the jeans. What a great ride.
@AlexandraFindsHerself I would love to see your Peanut pork recipe. I am going to try that later this week.
@Terytha I am glad you listened to yourself and left the stores. Can you get anything online. I don’t know how to shop for clothes online. You got a haircut. My hair is really long. I saw that AARP has a tutorial for cutting your own hair. My salon will be opening up on a limited basis and I think they have some good safety measures in place. I was just about to get my haircut when they closed down in March. I am losing the same pounds I lost in May. . But this morning I am close enough so if I lose more it will finally be progress. I am not going to measure until I either start doing more exercise or lose another 5 lbs.
@aliciap0116 it looks like you are rocking your exercise lately
@mmdeveau Glad you didn’t lose all that food in the freezer. I’m impressed you have been able to keep running/exercising throughout all that. I think those pounds will fall off once you get things back to normal.
@changeforeverlj you are making it into Onderland very solid by continuing to lose. I am thinking it is late fall like weather for you and I love that season too.
@CupcakeCrusoe Yes, I am lower on the weekend after getting sleep and I think it is also the longer overnight fasting too. Enjoy getting some new clothes.
@micwrites I do not stress out easily. What I am having trouble with a sense of feeling tired of having to continually react to a new situation. Working from home, not working from home, maybe working from home again but maybe not. Sort of opening up but like you not really feeling that is safe. I am worried that when I feel it is safe it won’t be because by then they won’t have the same safeguards in place anymore. Instead of using food to deal with the emotions you need to deal with the emotions kindly with no self judgement. I just go and lie in my bed and think or not think just feel. Half the time these days my daughter is on my bed doing her final projects. We got a bonded pair of kittens right before the stay at home order here. It has helped but I am allergic to them! It would be better if I was getting out of the house or they were but it isn’t safe for either of us. There is a coyote or 2 roaming our area. We had an older Norwegian Forest cat that was an indoor/outdoor cat. I didn’t react to him much at all. This virus isn’t great for relationships that aren’t steady. My daughter just started to make a step in her relationship but with school going online they weren’t seeing each other so they had to date online. We are considering expanding our bubble to include him again after finals week. None of this helps except to let you know I hear you.
@cesse47 I was looking for a protest I could do safely but didn’t find one. My husband got accidently stuck in one when he went to a bank Saturday. It was a driving one organized by a high school. I told him just to relax and join in. I told him I wished I was there with him. I can only March a limited amount these days.
@lilann1961 I think you have got this thing turned around and figured out. That is my goal for the week but had to do some work yesterday so starting today.
@dewsky1 I remember when grocery shopping was fun. I hate it now. Until now I never really had a chance to plan food. Too busy planning everything else. Now I have time to plan but lately it is getting old and I am avoiding it more. I have been cooking more but I have also been having my husband do some of the cooking but I do the food planning. Yesterday we had lamb burgers and tomato bisque. I made the soup but he did the hamburgers since he is a better fry cook than I am. Sometimes I will make a big dish that lasts for a while so I am not having to cook every day. However I really identified with your post because until recently being on furlough I felt just like that.
@KristenCook2 I was so late coming in that it was Tuesday! We had Friday breakfasts too as a reward at the end of the week. Now my breakfasts are better and we still sometimes go get a Friday treat for breakfast even though we are no longer commuting.
@mandamac775 try establishing habits and routines over relying on motivation. It comes and goes but habits and routines are always there for you. You are doing great.
@shorepine Hi! I am trying to just lose something so good for you and logging too.
I didn’t check in yesterday since I started the day off with working (not being paid) since my boss has to do my work I am helping her a bit. Otherwise the plan was to start out a week of exercise so I guess today is Monday relative to that goal.
I got my weight back down but not a loss from my May lowest weight so I hope it keeps going. I still don’t have a plan for exercise besides getting as much exercise each day especially week days as I can (30 minutes to an hour) and to get in at least one session of weight/training a week. My husband is doing worse than I am since working from home except that he isn’t obese. We used to go to Aquafit 3 times a week and walk occasionally. I have been taking him out for walks more but it isn’t enough. He does some work outside. I like how some have decided to give their dogs a walk daily so I should take my husband for a walk daily. Cats don’t take walks very well. I should get some other exercise every day and take him for a walk after dinner/his work day depending on dinner plans. Because of my knee it is only 30 minutes.
Dinners are planned for this week and we went shopping Sunday. I also added some things to my dairy order for the week. I am enjoying a crumpet and yogurt with fresh strawberries in it for breakfast this week.
It was a pleasure reading your posts even though I had so many to read since I skipped 2 days checking in here. I even teared up a little thinking about how much I am enjoying getting to know you. So it may be late but lets have a great week. I need to do this.

My challenge is in PLANNING. I hate to cook and shop. Yet every day my hubs asks, "what do you want to do about food tonight?" I dread that! He isn't at all picky, thank goodness. What I really want to do about food is have him plan and prepare it.
You should tell him so! Either on the spot, or if you can get into the habit of making a weekly meal plan. Tell him he’s responsible for picking out a specific # of lunches / dinners, & they have to work for both of you. There’s no reason all the mental load should fall onto you!5 -
I know what the title of this book says but it is an excellent source of information!

Guys I did something pretty fabulous yesterday. I started running again! ok it was super slow and I maybe only truly ran for like 6-7 mins in total, BUT I did it!
I have to take it slow as to not injure myself. Recovery will be even more important as I am prone to tight leg muscles (pick one its probably problematic ).
I am super proud of myself. This was a something I was holding off on doing until I had lost some weight but then after reading a few posts and some articles I was like "nah" I am going to start now.9 -
Hey everyone!
I had managed to gain back the 10lbs I had lost back in March/April... 😞
Between finding a babysitter since daycares are closed and having to miss work, I seem to have let myself go once again.
I started back up Sunday (even though I didn’t log)! I was back to having severe acid reflux like I have had in the past due to my weight and have decided I have got to get it together. On top of everything else we are in the process of buying a house. 😬 But I’m back at it again.
I work in a factory so I get plenty of physical activity daily with lifting and walking. And with the heat I’m gonna end up sweating my butt off (which I’d be okay with that. 🤣)
•I’m going to try and still too a 1,400 calorie intake everyday.
•drink a ton of water.
• healthy snacks
As long as I divorce myself form the scale I think I’ll be okay, I weigh myself everyday 😬(I know it’s not good too do so but I can’t help it!)

I hit my protein goal today! I'm going to be joining a gym soon, when my workout buddy comes back from vacation. Been binge watching My 600 Pound Life and it's making me want to work harder to lose these extra pounds.8

Goth Queen vibes! I love it!4 -
Happy Hump daaaaaaaaaaay everyone!
I did my daily yoga! I'm considering whether I want to try to bike to get groceries today- a little worried that hauling them all home would be a little heavy on my back- I need to get the back rack installed so I can have some saddlebags.
I think I'm not going to bike for groceries today, and just try to bike there unloaded some other day, see how long it takes and how I feel, then reconsider if it's a good idea.
So plan for today! Similar to the plan for yesterday.
Yoga, check.
Breakfast: egg whites and goat cheese toast with enormous apple
Lunch: ham and cheese omlette and cukes
Dinner: chicken sausage in a hot dog bun with tater tots
Groceries
Zumba video
I've got about 300 calories left after planned meals, we'll see what snacks I end up wanting.
Have a good day everyone!

Week 1 back went decently. Down 4.2 lbs. Kept my macros well-balanced. Didn’t eat after DS was in bed. Stayed hydrated. Hoping to keep the momentum going into the next week!7

Today has been a good day so far! I pushed it on my ride!
On my 50th birthday my dearest friend came to visit me and I took this photo with her beautiful daughters!
This is me today after my ride just shy of my 52nd birthday:

6/1: 186.8
6/3: 186.4
6/10: 185.4

☀ 128 oz of water - Average 100 oz
☀ Accurate logging each day - Okay but not great
I have been gaining and losing the same three pounds since mid-March. I think it is a combination of a plateau and not being disciplined. It's good I am not gaining but, dang, I really miss losing! I still have 30 lbs to go and need to pull this together.8 -
Weigh-in Wednesday
Highest weight: 435 (11/1/18)--lost 50 lbs. by the end of 2018 but got off track and gained back almost 31 lbs.
SW: 415.8 (4/17/19)

6/10: 239.2
6/17:

June GW: 236.1
GW: 160 (then reevaluate)
Weekly exercise goals:
- exercise bike 5 times per week - 5/5
- short walking videos or treadmill twice a day 5 times per week - 5/5
- strength training (including core specific exercises) 2 times per week - 2/2
- chair yoga 4 times per week - 4/4
I was able to do another short hike and a bike ride this past week. The hike was pretty easy as the trail was pretty flat. It was at a state park with a lake on one side and woods on the other. It was really beautiful there. The bike ride was on a rails-to-trails trail so it was fairly flat as well. Good for a beginner like me. I went with my son and we did 12 miles. That's a new record for me. I know it's not much for some of you (looking at you @BrownSugar174 ) but compared to where I was a year ago, it's unbelievable. I always had the goal of getting back on a bike but I don't think I believed it would really happen.
Hope you all are doing well!6 -
Wow, such inspiring posts today. Happy Wednesday, everyone. I'm checking in, because it keeps me here and focused on my goals. I had a "good" day yesterday. Good food choices and got my exercise in, and avoiding the siren call of the wine rack. I'm feeling positive. You know, it's a good feeling once you start getting a few good days in.
@GroverBlue78 that is great you started running again! Running is so hard to get back to, but it feels so good doesn't it. I'm into running myself, although my weight keeps me pretty slow. I love the feel of intense cardio, and especially how it makes me feel afterward.
@BrownSugar174 your transformation has been amazing! You look fabulous and are truly an inspiration. Also- your bike routes always look so great. I wish I lived in a place conducive to biking more! There is super rainy and windy weather where I live.
@aliciap0116 I think many of us have been in the same boat since March threw us all for a loop! On the bright side, you've done a great job maintaining your earlier losses and should be proud of that. So many of us gained a bunch of weight when the lockdowns started.
@CupcakeCrusoe do you have a good zumba video to recommend? I miss doing Zumba! I did it for a while at my gym. I wouldn't mind mixing up my fitness routine with some fun dancing.
@Terytha I agree with the others- love the top! It's elegant and edgy in all the right ways. And cheers to your husband for being so nice. I have one of those, too. I can't rely on his opinions about outfits because he truly thinks I look great in everything. We are lucky ladies.5 -
@brownsugar174 - look at you! So fit and firm. I'm really proud of you and how far you have come along on this journey!
@MuttiNM - you are a losing machine. I'm so happy for you that you've found a new hobby that you really enjoy.
I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes. I'm getting better every day. Working is hard (from the concussion). I end the day with a terrible headache and so fatigued. But every day is a little bit better than the one before.
I've been going on walks instead of running but I'm my calorie burn is a lot lower, so I have to be careful not to eat as much. After shifting my diet to eat more carbs to support endurance training, I now need to dial the bread back down a bit. Just when I had perfected the No Knead Bread recipe!
Since going off my BP medicine I gained 7.7 pounds in just 4 days. But this morning I lost 1.3, so I am hoping that the rebound water weight gain has plateaued and I can go back to losing again.8 -
@shorepine I try different YouTube videos each time. I try to find ones that are at least half an hour long. I've gotten a really cool mix of music that way. Modern one day, Disney the next. 😂3
