6/6-149 Walked 7 miles. It’s been cooler and breezy!
6/7-152-No walk, worked around the house with DH, then brought the rest of my clothes here AFTER I reinforced my closet rod. I prepped for lunch at my in-laws today, including pie and bread. We take it to their house and sit out in the backyard and eat and visit. They are 77 & 90 and don’t go anywhere. I may not even weigh tomorrow. Have a wonderful Sunday!🌸
6/8-150-I really don’t deserve this; I ate some of everything and then came home and had beer and garlic bread for dinner.
6/9-Windy, appointments and not much of a walk. Today will be better.....I can just feel it!!!🙂
6/10-151-Had to get a mammogram yesterday, so I treated myself to hamburger and fries but didn’t get king sized and had iced tea. Continued to drink water and did a smaller walk. I’m hoping for a bike ride this morning before it’s hot!
6/11-149-Rode the bike 11 miles and ate light. Walking today and it’s going to be hot.
6/12-151- Walked 10 miles. Lots of running around to do today and getting a hair cut. Hoping for a bike ride.
6/13-150-Walked 4 miles, super windy. We are heading to get the rest of the items from storage. Long day.....7 -

06/12 - 153.4 - I had Asian Sesame Ribs last night, which led to thirst and 2 extra litres of water. I didn't expect to gain so much from one meal, but that is how it goes. I will work it back down.

06/08 193 ran 3 miles this morning, my NSV is that I completed C25K today! pretty proud of getting to the end. Now to regroup and come up with a new game plan to increase distance/stamina.

06/10 190.8 est calories yesterday 1669 a bit high but I was so hungry! I ate all the veggies in the fridge.. pea pods, cauliflower, a whole pepper, turkey wrapped pickles.. I was like the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Ran this morning we ran 5 minutes, did sprint intervals (30 on/2 off) which were surprisingly fun, ran 10 minutes. It was good. hungry again today but trying to head it off with water.. water.. more water.
06/11 192.6 total estimated cals 1899 so my calories were high, I had a small watermelon margarita with salted rim.. I had high hopes of not seeing a jump in the scale but oh well. Drinking water (again! Still!) Shooting for 1200 calories today.
06/12 192.4 total estimated cals 1609 due to cooking disaster. I made a really nice veggie and chicken meatball coconut Thai curry which was TOOO HOT AND SPICY to eat! So I added some rice noodles to cut the heat down and make it edible.. carbohydrates still sticking with me today. Ran 2 miles this morning but burned same amount of estimated calories due to more sprints and less walking. I would like to see this weight budge this round.. not looking promising
06/13 194.0 woweee not very exciting. total est. cals 1711 yesterday not bad considering we went out for burgers and I had 2 beers as well. FINALLY got on board with TOM (11 days late ) so maybe we can see some movement on the scale now? My mood has certainly improved. I notice my cals have been higher the past few days so I'm tightening up, should be easier without cravings and mood swings. Beach next weekend so gotta stay on track.

06/07 - 61kg, not much to say, just doing my logging (~1100-1200 calories) and walking (16,000 steps)
06/08 - 61.1kg, okay that's fine, off to do my steps
06/09 - 60.8kg, missed my 16,000 step goal two times last week :-(, cold weather and rain, yuk!
06/10 - 60.9kg, lots of steps yesterday but also a few more calories than usual due to homemade dumplings :-)
06/11 - 60.6kg, yay! I feel so much fuller these days without hogging out.
06/12 - 60.7kg, the usual bounce up after a big loss the day before, weekend temptations coming up!
06/13 - 60.3kg, that's bigger than expected, probably not so good tomorrow, but hopefully will stay on target.
06/14 - 60.5kg, after last night's dinner out - 2 drinks and dessert along with main meal, ~ 500 calories extra!

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back doing 5 miles a day!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- June: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy

Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅JGM10D ~|~ Round 116 Posting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

06/06 134.8 – 10.36 miles walked yesterday. So lucky to stay at this weight this morning; had a bad day yesterday, gave up logging by tea time when I had reached 2838 calories consumed. Sorry to have to say this (yet) again, but why do I self destruct?? I know what it does to me, but in truth I am a food addict & once I get into a feeding frenzy I can't stop. (Sigh) I am so disappointed with myself on these days. I'm going to try this 10 day to be at/under calories every day. I mean it's just 10 days and as it is fastly approachung tea time now, then day 1 is almost done!! I need to be strong/sensible.
06/07 134.8 – 9.33 miles walked yesterday, 664 calories in credit and all macros well in green. A much better day yesterday; in control . What I have noticed is that even a few pounds make a difference to my resting heart rate? When at goal it's usually around 46 bpm, a few pounds on and it creeps up to 47, 48, when I get to 135 ish pounds its up to 50 bpm, that in turn pushes my heart rate up when walking, which I tend to do at/just under 4 miles per hour, I can feel that difference in my breathing whilst walking too !! Just an observation.

No walking yesterday as drove up north to see our families, DD threw a surprise bbq lunch for DH's 60th birthday on Tuesday, all within social distancing – so strange no to be able to hug . But so good to see them. Hence calories well over with birthday cake and celebratory glass of wine. Back to walking today. Staying strong to the end of the round.

Plan on another 25,000 steps today and continuing 2 meals of salad greens with protien,and healthy fats, no alcohol and eating window between noon and 7 pm. Lots of water!! It feels good to be back in control.

I’m taking a round of cephalexin and feel puffy. Water retention isn’t listed as a side effect, but something is causing this. Phooey. Anyway, I’m off for a walk on the rivergreenway and have an afternoon of garden work planned. One of these days I’ll have a breakthrough. I’m a bit depressed and disgusted with myself about this and the news. Maybe the river and trees will help. Have a good Saturday.

Seriously waterlogged. Calories were fine, though, so I know it’s just water. It’s a gorgeous day here so I’m off to walk along the river again. Increasing daily distance to get back to my old 5-10 miles/day.

Okay, finished the antibiotics and I feel less bloated. All good.

Calories low yesterday. I baked a cake and brownies to give away and didn’t sample at all — yay me! It’s supposed to get hot this afternoon, so I’m off for a walk on the rivergreenway and then picking up mulch to finish my new beds. Also plotting another....Left to my own devices, the whole backyard would be flower and herb beds with a few veggies here and there.

Not a great number but at least it’s moving in the right direction. I’m going for a walk and then hope to spend the rest of the day in the garden, moving a few things, planting the last few, yanking a couple....So good for the spirit.

Finally, some progress! We have a very low-calorie day planned — DH brought home shrimp. Yum! Off for a walk, then lots of weeding and dead-heading. I might even do a little writing (my actual work!). Have a lovely day, all!

Oops. I confess, I had salty popcorn and a little ice cream last night, calories over goal. Back on track today.

I’m a little surprised as I had a glass of wine and some dark chocolate last night, but I also spent about 3 hours weeding and digging grass out along the edges of my gardens, so maybe it evened out. It’s cooled way off today, but not raining, so I’m off for a walk. Have a lovely Saturday, all.

Expected a rise because I went a bit overboard (again) yesterday. Still could happen tomorrow, but I’ll take this for now. Staying away from snacks is obviously still a work in progress, but today is a new day. I’m going to build a trellis this morning to brighten up a corner of the garden that’s a bit dark and shady.
