June 2020 Monthly Running Challenge

I procrastinated all morning - well, not totally. We did unload the final bit of my cousin's stuff at my mom & dad's and my house. But, the rest of the time I played on the computer, telling myself that I really needed to go down and run on the treadmill - since it was hot and humid outside. I was NOT in the mood for a treadmill run. So, I went outside at about 1:15 to see how it felt and decided to just go for it and do driveway laps.
But, life got in the way and I wound up doing a treadmill run after all. Before I got my exercise clothes on, a lady from medicaid called me about my cousin. We talked. She said she was going to talk to her boss and the lady from the assisted living facility and call me back so we can decide if we want to try to get him in Choices now, or wait a couple of months. (If he can qualify for Choices, it will pay for part of his stay in either assisted living or the nursing home. He has been turned down based on what the nursing home has sent them 3 times already.) Since I had no idea how long it would be before she called me back, I decided I should probably run on the treadmill. Of course, the run is over and time has passed and she still hasn't called back. It could be tomorrow. You just never know.
It wasn't horrible. As is usually the case, I ran faster on the treadmill than I do on my driveway, or other outside venue. I did the Tempo Run I was scheduled to do yesterday. Ran a total of 3.25 miles and walked 1. I am short of my goal this month, but still pleased, considering that I didn't get a chance to run much for 2 weeks. (Right now the ticker isn't right, but it may correct itself. I actually ran/intentionally walked 75.25 miles this month.)

So June is over. It has been a crazy year so far, but so far I am on track with my RTY goal:
Looks like I ran 242 miles. Not bad, but in July I get to restart training so I might actually do fewer miles as I will be doing more speed work. We shall see! Off to July!

            Finishing June:

-
I have been really bad at keeping up with this thread, but I have been consistent this month. The last couple of mornings, have been doing the runs in the morning before signing onto work. Its the last week of a Runnet challenge, so really motivated to finish it up and earn my money back (it was the first time I used the app). Overall, the app really helped with getting the runs done and having a little challenge while the races have been changed to virtual. Not sure yet what my plan is for July yet, but happy with June!

We have a lot in common - my staggering around in big circles hardly constitutes running.1
