Used phone without audio for camera and laptop with audio to hear and speak. Sure hope PC guy has a solution before next Monday’s class.
Katla In the stores here mask wearing has increased significantly with the governor’s order, all staff and 9 in 10 shoppers masked, a vast improvement over June 30.
Rita love your pics especially the full moon. Then saw the “just for fun” Dang gal, you look GOOD!
Luci that “not smiling” pic made me snort my water. Precious town to her toes!
Amber is this the chocolate you were looking for? It’s one of my faves.https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/update_nutrition_facts/1133097776?date=2020-07-07&show_controls=true

Rebecca what you said about the gals here, and yes, you ARE a wonder woman.
Ginny “Standing on a ladder and cleaning overhead “ must be quite a calorie burner. Well done!

allie glad to hear the ‘gators aren’t on the beach. They sssscare me!
Heather “...better than being bored...” That was Mama and Papa’s dynamic. Papa so enjoyed seeing Mama “go up like a rocket” that he’d intentionally set her off. SMH. Witnessing the nightly dinner table fireworks only made me queasy. Each to his/her own.
RockingMBC Michelle? That baked Rajma looks yummy.. except of course for the cilantro
Michele what is a “Jersey tomato”?
Beth belated best birthday wishes!
Barbie “...leftovers...”

Welcome @Annalaurel96 con VERY gratulations for all you’ve done since May 26. Discarding 13.3 lbs a great reward for all your hard work.
Welcome @claresbubbe I’m in awe of your getting down to 124. Could some sodium have snuck in to account for the pound?
Welcome @renewing1 Marie from FL!
Missing JanetR, Debby in VA, Kylia.
Fireworks weren't bad here, nothing like last year's weeks of 2 am BOOMs.
But the wind just won't quit. Could it be giving me these headaches?

Barbara: Technology can be soooooo frustrating. Hope you get it sorted soon.
It’s younger grandson’s Birthday tomorrow. We are planning a family Skype tomorrow afternoon, and we are having a get together on Sunday to celebrate. Just found out that granddaughter is flying home for that. I really want to see them all, but I am apprehensive about her flying in.
Contemplating a day at the computer collating/proofreading/editing elder grandson’s Birthday Project. I want to add in photos before I print it. I’d like to give it to him on Sunday. I plan to have it printed professionally later this year to give to my family as Christmas Gifts.

Viv - So sorry about your cat. My mother waited too long to have my beloved Oscar put to sleep when he had kidney failure. I have never had a pet because of seeing that suffering (and other pets) and having to part with them too soon because of their short lives. I'm sure you will be brave enough and caring enough to do the right thing at the right time.
Had a very unusual bout of indigestion in the middle of the night. Had to retreat upstairs and swig back Gaviscon. Read for a while and lost about 90 mins sleep. I have no idea what caused it.
Missing the grandchildren. Will have to organize meet up or Zoom. I hate to nag though.

I looked at that one today and thought ... I'm not sure what that would be anymore.
Most of what I do is just what I do. Necessary. There are occasionally things that make the days more pleasant like listening to music while I work, watching a few favourite TV shows in the evenings, reading a novel now and then, sleeping in on the weekends. But something I really enjoy?? Those things are gone now and I just try not to think of them.
In case you're wondering what we're talking about ...

Viv sorry about Logan.
One of my dearest friends has learned she has to go in for a biopsy in a few weeks yesterday. Wrapping her in hugs.
Went to see other son who lives about 30 miles away. He enjoyed meeting Drew. We had pizza at a picnic table and a nice walk along a creek near his apartment. He lives in a converted factory. It you have every heard of Red Wing pottery that is the old factory where he lives.
Drew played with new friend last night named Whiskey no not the alcohol type. Neighbor has a chihuahua mix too. It wore her out and she is still sleeping. I learned it is the chihuahua in her that makes her like to dig under the covers and create her own sanctuary. I need to do more of that too.

BETH ~ Happy, Happy Birthday!
KAREN ~ Your stuffed zuke looks interesting. Glad you were able to use it so successfully.
VIV ~ So sorry to hear about your cat. The last cat we had (a 15 yr old Siamese) had cancer and had to be put down. We loved that cat.
I am back on track after overdoing it with pizza over the weekend!

During my writing session today I realised how important a Youth Wing in a nearby boys school was to my teenage life. I said in the memoir that I think it saved my life. It got me out of a very destructive cycle and gave me a new identity. It wasn't all perfect, not the least because I narrowly escaped being preyed on by the youth leaders, but I owe it a massive amount. The Drama Club was wonderful.
Just reminiscing, but I think the 1960s were so interesting. This was 1964/5 . I find it so interesting to look back on what were 'Sliding Door' situations. It came along in the nick of time.

Hello to everyone here!
My name is Melissa. Once upon a time, I was a moderator on a fitness/weight loss board through MSN (throwback for anyone?!) and I actually used to run half and full marathons.
Now, in 2020, I have an autoimmune arthritis called Ankylosing Spondylitis and I can't outrun my emotional eating habits because my body does not always cooperate for a workout!
Not new to MyFitnessPal, but this is my first time posting in the community.
Currently at 223.8 lbs and 5'3". My first goal is to get under 200 again. My second goal is to get to 165 lbs. My ultimate goal weight is 140 lbs, and my ultimate goal is to be able to run my favorite race again: the Thanksgiving 10 Miler. Hoping that being part of a community of others striving towards similar fitness and weight loss goals will provide some accountability.7 -

Zwift!
I started using it for cycling indoors and then discovered it has a run/walk option too.
On the treadmill, I pair it with a Wahoo Trakr X (I'll have to double check that name) heart rate monitor which records cadence too. Not all HRMs do.
On the bicycles we have it paired with sensors on the wheels and crankarms.
I'm waiting for the day I can pair my rowing machine to it too and apparently they are working on that.
But for cycling or running / walking I can choose from several different routes with different scenery etc.

Boil frying - with my stomach condition this is a must for cooking to help me. I boil in a frying pan some water then cook until waters gone start browning it. Cooks out more fat (I can’t keep down fatty foods)Amber Tx

I want to apologize if my sitting with the natives pictures offended anyone. I sent it to my 42 YO DD who used to partake and she was offended! I had hoped we, in this chat would have enjoyed the funny-ness of an alien enjoying life in that way. It’s why I put it in a spoiler!

Rita - I loved them, and think they're quite funny, with and without the wacky weed.

Allie I miss Stew Leonards!
Alien name Cheech since he landed in Mexico!
Water weight I seem to retain water and can lose 2 pounds overnight by being up all night in the bathroom! I gain overnight like that when I don’t drink enough water or eat poorly the day before and sleep through the night!

Renewing/Marie: Congrats on your fabulous progress! I hope your move goes forward without more delays.
Viv UK: Our old dog also has a cancer. His is in his rect*m. At this point it is managed well enough with pain meds from the vet. The plan is to wait until the lesion is ready and then remove it surgically. With old dogs, anesthesia can be dangerous. We trust our veterinarian to help us make good choices. :flowerforyou:
Barbara: Fireworks here were no trouble this year. The city changed the fireworks display to much later in the year. It will coincide with the annual Christmas Ships Parade in late November/early December.
Margaret: I hope your friend’s biopsy turns out to be benign.
Pip: Let the adventures begin!!!
Asilverlininggirl: Welcome! :flowerforyou:
RVRita: I loved the alien & natives. Some people are overly sensitive, but I’m betting ET doesn’t mind giving people a laugh or smile one tiny bit.
As I mentioned before, I am planning a “spoiler free” life. A number of our friends put their diet progress info in spoilers. That is fine with me. I choose to log every bite and swallow and keep the details for myself. I don’t think there is a right or wrong in this choice. We’re lucky to be able to share what is in our comfort zone.

Drive by posting, official wi day today, up .8 of a pound. Grrrr..... Probably residual effects from the pizza late last week, sure did enjoy it tho! lol Oh well, back to the grindstone. Rode my bike to work and back on Sunday, went for a 6k walk yesterday and will be going for a 10k bike ride this morning. Also, most of the goodies are out of the house, so that will help a LOT! I know I shouldn't buy/make them, but hubby likes them and so do I. Most of the time I do have room for the treats, calorically speaking, but I was pretty lax last week. I did end June lighter than when I started and that is my plan for July.
Rita, I just had to comment on your post about people being offended about your pic with the alien. I have to admit I had to look at it a few times before I actually saw the "cigarette" in his hand, but was definitely NOT offended! I don't use, but have no problem with anyone who does! Is is legal in Canada now, so there is more overt use for sure. Don't care for the smell of the skunkweed (who'd want to smoke something that smells like that????), but it is what it is.
Hope everyone has/had a great day!
Hugs for those needing them, congrats to those celebrating and welcome to the newbies!
