Outstanding!! Thank You for the motivational quote!11 -
My weight loss has slowed in the last 2.5 months due to less stringent tracking of my food intake, but I'm back on it!
7 months in and I've lost 24 lbs, and definitely some inches š31 -
Looking for inspiration!0

186lb July 2018 // 140lb July 2020 // 5'5"
Finally got medicated for my ADHD in September 2018 at the ripe old age of 28 (!) and stopped mainlining sugar & caffeine all the time to try and make my brain work. Losing weight is no longer a constant uphill Sisyphean battle. Ain't science wonderful?
Currently 138lb so pretty close to my initial goal of 130 and I'll probably maitain there for a little while before heading down to 120
Exercise-wise I'm primarily a runner and always have been, although I have hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome so I shouldn't be a runner because my knees are only theoretically attached to the rest of me.25 -

You look great, and congratulations on being a runner despite the theoretical knees!

Wow amazing results! How many calories is everyone currently eating? Also how do you all stay accurate with logging? Do you cook your own foods or do you eat out?0

9 months since I began my fitness journey. Wow, time flies! 160.2 lbs versus 131.8 lbs.
While I wish my results were more than they are, this is still pretty awesome! I mean, I only really started adding cardio this last month.
Dialing in my nutrition (not just be in a deficit), increased cardio, and progressing in my weightlifting for the next 3.5 months. See what I can do before my wedding! š23 -
I am 5'4" and my worst weight was 247lbs. I am now 218lbs however, it has been an uphill battle. I will succeed for a short while then platue and get emotionally fatigued, then the old comfort foods creep in breaking my motivation. I am 70 years old, with no support at home or in my community. As I am 90% vegan and 10% vegetarian, eating out with family and friends is down to boring plain salad with baked in jacket potatoe and cheese... as there are no restuarants near me that serve anything worth buying they call vegan. I find an over cooked plate of spaghetti with a couple of chopped mushrooms in it, smothered in what tastes like gravy absolutely horrific (Frankie & Bennies in Kings Lynn) plus paying 7.95 for that plate of slops made matters worse. It woud be nice to have some friendly support, someone to eat out with and places where they honour vegans with more tasty choices. Open to suggestions.14

I'm 5ft 5 and lost 80+lbs. I've maintained my weight now for the past 9 months (I fluctuate about 4-5lbs over those 9 months but have found it fairly easy to keep on track). Although I'm only just at a healthy BMI I don't intend to lose anymore weight namely as it just doesn't look great on me being slimmer than I am (I'm quite broad). If this helps anyone with motivation than I'm more than happy to share. I know these kind of before and after pics helped me when I started - Mel

Thank you to all who have posted...and to the person who started this thread. It is really motivating to see so many people striving for better health. I'm not ready for a photo update yet...but I'm 49 yrs old and 5'3-4 depending on the day, lol. Started back to MFP on Jan. 15th'ish, and today - I just hit my lowest point in 6 yrs - 17 lbs down. Overall goal will be to lose 150 lbs. EOY 1 goal will be to hit 40 lbs lost. I have to lose weight slowly thanks to a medical issue. So, my journey will be a slow one...but I'm determined to live the life of someone who values her health over quick fixes from now on. To all still working...you are not alone...and keep up the good work! To all in maintenance...truly fantastic...keep up the good work!16

50.6 lbs lost. Currently 128 and 5'4.
First picture is summer 2010 and second is July 1, 2014. Of the 50 lbs, 40 lbs were lost in the last 17 months with the help of crossfit, paleo-ish diet eating, and running.
Sometimes i wonder if i could even possibly dream of a body like this...25 -
Finally hit goal weight #2: 130 lbs
It took 10 months to lose 30 lbs, and my ultimate goal is 120 lbs.
The last 10 may be a little harder, but I'm ready!35 -
Inspiration needed!3

I am always curious about the number of calories people eat per day. Many people who post say they logged food and that really helped with weight loss but noone says about how many calories per day worked for them. I realize it is different for everyone- I'm just curious. Thank you for any insight you can provide!6

About halfway done, and feeling kinda discouraged bc Iām up 10 lbs from last year due to quitting smoking and have been stuck for a while. My highest at 240 in May 2018 and today 193
