I went to the beach today instead of going for my morning walk, and ended up going for a walk anyway because I wanted to explore the village near the beach. It was very nice!20

That wardrobe looks right up my alley! Pretty!! I would love to do a capsule wardrobe at some point... had it close, then weight went up, and now I am down. Once I settle into a size I am excited to do some shopping!
I plan to reward myself by buying fabric and making myself some historically-inspired dresses. There's some yummy summer dress potential in an 18th century robe anglais, and I love the '50s silhouette, and I'm pretty sure I'll have pinup curves when I'm done.12 -

I have similar plans!! I plan to buy quality neutral colored linen (and maybe a rich plum color as well) and make a few high waisted skirts reminiscent of the Victorian era walking skirt. I’ve seen a few modern takes that are just lovely, the pleating in the waistbands are gorgeous!8 -
It's a little one but I went for a walk with my son and Mum last night and didn't get winded or struggle with back pain - it's only been a little over a month since I started all this and this was really exciting.22

Started my journey July 4th. I've officially lost 1 inch/ 2.54cm from my hips. My weight has been fluctuating like a normal human body but this last week it's steadily coming down ounce by ounce 😁 My hips are my number 1 problem area so an inch off is good news.😆 Now onto the next inch. My goal is only to lose additional 3.5-4 inches and I'm happy.
I also noticed I don't even need to walk as much as I did last time to lose weight. I was walking 14,000-15,000 steps daily plus counting calories when I lost weight 2 years ago. It was more of a brisk walk and nothing intense. Most of the walking was done while at work and during lunch break. This is time around working from home I've been jogging in place in my living room for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening while watching tv or playing games on my phone. On average I'm walking 10500-11,000 steps a day and I'm eating between 1300-1500 calories a day. I'm also short 5'2"/157cm. So moral of the story and a lesson I just learned, the quality of your steps is just as important, as long as you are in a continuous caloric deficit you'll lose weight and you don't need to do anything crazy. 😊11 -

I get my linen from Fabrics-store.com, have used their linen for reenacting dresses for the last twenty years and been very happy with the quality and the durability. I'll definitely be getting linen from them for some of the medieval-ish dresses I want to make. The stretch of either linen or wool on the bias is part of the fit of that dress.
Most recent NSV: Walked upstairs at a good clip to get back to changing the sheets. Boyfriend said, when I was at the top of the stairs, "Hey, where's the top to my thermos?" I went back downstairs at a good clip, into the kitchen, found the top, gave it to him, and went upstairs again at a good clip... and I wasn't winded and my heart wasn't pounding. THAT's new.

Went out for a bike ride today and managed to get up a hill without stopping. The last time I rode it I stopped 2/3's of the way up for a breather. I guess having to lug twenty less pounds up made a difference17

Congratulations! I'm enjoying moments like these on my rides, as well!8 -
Ha ha, it's a hot day and I went grocery shopping - then pulled weeds - then still had energy to clean the bathroom - then decided it sounded fun to skate around the kitchen floor on two wet towels because it was more fun than breaking out the mop. This time last year I would have gone grocery shopping and been really tired from it.23

Did four chin-ups a couple of nights ago. That coincides with a loss of 2.5 pounds last week.22

Good bye weight in 170's. Hello 160's!!!!32

During a visit to the GP this week, she commented that I may feel lightheaded if I get up too quickly as that often happens to someone like me who’s thin - I didn’t hear too much after that, as I kept hearing her words echoing in my ears that I was thin 😊28

Scurrying around the house getting ready for church when I noticed that I was not using my cane. I have been getting accustomed to using it everyday for the past year. I was amazed that after losing 24 lbs. my knees weren't killing me this morning.36 -
I tracked my food yesterday even though I did not follow healthy eating, and I did not beat myself up over it. I admitted that I enjoyed my day and decided that today is a new day. First time in ages I've had a healthy attitude about eating.34

I can so relate to this, Fabricwoman. I had been using a knee band for my weak knee and a week or so ago I arrived at work and realized I had put my knee band on the wrong knee. It did not ache at all just felt something was strange. Losing weight really is making a difference.
We are doing well!

I found a photo of me from 5 years ago.
My weight has ranged from about 140lb to 207lb over the last 10 years or so. I've never really felt I've looked different at any point. I'm about 175lb now, and I often feel like I look the same as I did when I was 207lb.
I looked down at my stomach today when lying on my side and I thought it looked smaller than when I was 207lb.
I looked at that photo from 5 years ago, and I thought I looked thinner all over, and especially in my face. (I was about 140lb then.)
I feel like I've been walking through life with a filter, and it's finally dropped off. I'm not perfect at this point in time, I see all my flaws. But I see that I look better and healthier now than when I was heavier, and I see I can look better and healthier if I drop a further 35lb.
I see me.
I see who I was, I see who I am, and I see where I'm going. And you know what, this has been a hard week with the scales, but I am committed to this.28 -

Somebody saw me at work and said "Covid was good to you!" and I looked like a different person, so I've got that going for me, I guess haha.8
