Morning all, I did get on the TM today, but that's because I forced myself as I ate garbage yesterday. Oh well at least I did one thing..that was a good book by the way. (one thing).

@trooworld I never liked the bike, after I broke my knee and that was my therapy. LOL.

@TeresaW1020 hope you have fun babysitting!! Yea carb cycling sounds good. One thing I am learning. I don't want to not be able to eat something I want/like..so HAVE to make all foods work.

    @theslightedgeforever great. job staying OP

@trooworld Yaaay on doing the videos. It was my cardio day so I did them too. Same one's you did I started with the new Abba one, but didn't really like it because she used the soundtrack from the movie and it didn't keep my interest, but I persevered through. Then switched to Hamilton, but like you said, it had been taken down. Then went on to 90's songs and then Hairspray Part 1. I have to modify alot of her movements but I still get a really good calorie burn from her stuff. Last time, hubby came through and said, you aren't doing it right. I said, I'm doing it. That's the point. You do you, I will do me. I got all my water in today. Let's try again tomorrow. You can do it. One glass at a time.

@teresaw1020 I had those same BL fantasies only mine ended up with me cussing out Jillian and flipping her off. Then she would make me run til I puked. I'm much more of a Bob person. My carb cycling works if I actually do it. I lost 2.6 this week. But that's from a big gain last week, so some of that I know is fluid, but I'm losing.......just keep tweaking your program until you find the sweet spot.

@cbabie yaaaay on the treadmill. Next time stay out of the garbage can. :D How about starting with the time period between waking up and lunchtime. What will you be eating that's healthy. Preplan it in your tracker and then follow it. That "one thing" can also be broken down into time slots. It doesn't have to be if you mess up the day at night, then the whole day gets thrown out. Concentrate on the little successes.

My son and I got my hubby out of the house and took him on a picnic of sorts. I ended up overeating. I was having too good of a time, I guess. But lesson learned.

Hey all! Sorry I've dropped off the face of the planet. The first week of classes means my job is insane, my new grad classes start, and my qualifying exam was due so my head is spinning a bit. I've been trying to make healthy choices during this time. I did have one major binge but after that I think it's been going a lot better. Just focusing on healthy, nutritious, whole foods. I haven't hopped on the scale lately since I can't take any additional stress right now, so I'm just focusing on habits and fueling my body during this stressful time.

@trooworld buttercream frosting is so hard to make! You are impressive to tackle that!

@theslightedgeforever a picnic with family sounds like so much fun. I hope you didn't beat yourself up too much!

@cbabie I hope you felt better after getting some movement in!

@TeresaW1020 I hope babysitting goes well!

Morning all, I didn't get on the TM today, I got up late and I junk/stressed food ate yesterday. You would think going to the dentist and getting not so great news...I wouldn't eat that stuff. I have been grinding and now I have 2 cracked teeth...and my gums are showing signs of this as well. I have to figure this out and be firm with myself. Only me myself and I can do this...no one else can take control of me.

@trooworld I laughed at the birthday cake story...I can so see you ordering and baking and running around trying to get it all done. Of course it will come out perfect...but if it doesn't it will still taste awesome LOL

@theslightedgeforever I am so glad you guys got out..made me smile

@mswatson0777 I think its a great idea not to get on the scale right now. it's more about what we put into our systems anyway.!!

@trooworld My water today was a bust. Let's you and I both work hard on reaching our goals. So reframing your cake issue......I like to try new things and give it my all. Hopefully you will have better sis in laws than mine cause even if it was 100% perfect, they would find something wrong with it. Now I'm like Wonder woman and use my bracelets to ward off their attacks. I just aim them straight back at them. I have been known now to say, Well I guess no cake for you next year and then laugh. I feel so much freer now plus I don't go home and eat my feelings. Can you tell I'm out of my please others at all cost phase and into my Please myself phase. It's all about me right now. Put on my own oxygen mask before taking care of others. The buttercream frosting sounded really good though.

@mswatson0777 I wondered about you the other day. Stay off the scale for a while if that helps. Notice how your clothes are fitting you. It's good that you are committed to healthy habits. None of us would be on this thread if we knew how to handle what life throws at us. Food can be a good escape for the moment but it doesn't help the overall plan.

@cbabie It's amazing how many people I know in the last month have told me about their visits to the dentist and cracked teeth. Everyone seems to be grinding. I already had my two pulled. Still haven't got around to putting in the implants. So how can you create a Plan B for the days you get up late. Exercise doesn't just have to be the treadmill. Yes, I know you like it. But after work.....put the baby in her stroller and go for a walk outside in your neighborhood. Is it hot? yes. Take some water for you and her. But exercise will relieve some of the stress instead of eating and grinding. Don't want to do that? Plan C Do water exercises in the pool. Do you have floaties for the baby? Sunscreen and some nice water fun that counts as exercise. Plan D Drive to a nearby mall and you and her go walk the mall. Plan E Does she have a ball of some kind? Even a stuffed toy would work. Set up a laundry basket a distance away and then you and her take turns throwing the object into the basket. But you have to be the one that runs and retrieves the object from wherever it is and run back to where you are standing. (my dh has been bouncing a tennis ball to my mil and she tries to catch it and bounces it back. The ball goes everywhere and he works up quite a sweat doing this) Aren't you glad you have a nagging sister to come up with these plans for you. :D

@trooworld HaHa, I am just like you when I have to make food for people. I hope your cake turns out perfectly and exactly the way you want it to. The staff is throwing a bridal shower for our worship pastor and his fiancé THIS Sunday! I was told yesterday and spent all last evening on Pinterest trying to figure out what I can make and how we can decorate the room. :grin

@mswatson0777 I hope you can get some relaxation this weekend. You need definitely need some rest and some fun. <3

@cbabie Ouch I am sorry that the dentist did go well for you. I hope that you can figure out how to quit the grinding of your teeth. <3

Good morning! The babysitting went great. He is a very good boy when he is not with his big brother who is 10 months older. I had a long day yesterday and went to lunch again with the staff. My weight is up this morning. Maybe I should change my weigh-in day from Friday’s since I keep eating Mexican on Thursdays. Today’s plan is to work out, do some church work on the computer. I also need to work on a bridal shower that I’m co-hosting this Sunday. It’s just 12 people so it won’t be to crazy but I still want it to be nice. :)

Morning all, I laughed as I read all the comments. I truly enjoy this group of gals. I did get on my TM today and I enjoyed it. I even got a shower..I will take the little things in life. Sometimes working from home, you don't always get your shower and dressed. I really ate bad last night. I was so mad at myself and it came out on my DH. plus he is watching this show that is stressing me out. There is a deceitful cop and he is really a bad guy and the good people are getting accused and on trial. I am ready to punch the TV. LOL

@TeresaW1020 I will figure out how not to grind my teeth. I am determined..grind grind grind. LOL. I hope the shower goes well.

@trooworld oh my you are busy this weekend, hope you get some down time. Buttercream is my favorite frosting...I can eat it until I am sick LOL

@theslightedgeforever I of course love a sister who has all these ideas for ME..LOL. Actually they are good ideas, but its really been too hot at 1pm here. It's cooling off this weekend a BIT. Yes I have to move more. I decided that is why our granny lived so long. She fried everything in Crisco and still lived along time. She was a hard working woman. So you just make sure you take your own creative wisdom. LOL

@trooworld I'm sure anything made with chocolate will be a hit. So what about YOU this Saturday? What special thing are you going to do for yourself? I know you are thinking oh I'm too busy I'll do it another day. But busy people get things done. Can you commit to half your water goal on that day? or commit to 5 min sitting in your bedroom with headphones on listening to some zen music with your eyes closed? Something that is good for you.

@teresaw1020 Actually that changing of the weigh in day helped me years ago. Because of my social life, I would always weigh in on Monday's too heavy. Then it discouraged me from getting started. So I put it on Thursday because I had book club and other things on Thursday evenings. I could hyperfocus on Sunday-Wednesday and still lose some weight by Thursday weigh in. It seemed to work for me and kept me motivated for the next week. Try it and see, you can always switch back if you want. Dh always says I make better food for others than I do for him. I'm like you will eat anything though. I have a reputation to uphold elsewhere. I used to be the baker in all my groups because that was what I was good at. Now I'm getting a reputation of being a cook. (I don't think I'll ever make chef status) People are always surprised when they say who made this and I will say me. Then they look really shocked. I'm like you don't have to look that shocked people. lol

@cbabie Yaaay for getting on your treadmill. I bet those other plans shocked you into doing it. I didn't say you had to work out at 1. 6 or 7 pm is cooler. I agree with taking my own wisdom. Still working on that.

@cbabie Girl, a treadmill walk and a shower! You are on a roll. :D I have managed to take my showers but I can easily not wash my hair for three days. Makes the showering much faster. ;) We are watching a show right now about this teacher becoming a drug lord. Totally stressing me out!

@theslightedgeforever I agree that changing my weigh-in day will take the pressure off and allow me to eat lunch on Thursdays if I decide to. I tried focusing on my weekly average weight but that doesn’t seem to have the same impact. I need the weigh-in day and I NEED it to give me a loss! Baking has never been my gift but I do get lots of compliments on my cooking.

@trooworld Yayyyy for the weight loss! How did the cake turn out? I bet it was wonderful. I haven’t had chocolate cake in ages. :'( I really don’t understand the issue with water drinking. Do you like sparkling water? I buy plain selzer in a can and drink at least 4 or 5 of those a day. I love the bubbles!

Good morning! Well, I didn’t have to go to the church to decorate so instead I spent the day deep cleaning my house. Then I had this idea to rearrange all my knick-knacks and now I hate it even more. I’m going to put things back and just wait until after the New Year to figure out what I want to do. It’s almost time to decorate for Christmas!! <3 I have church this morning and then the wedding shower later this afternoon. I'm making these yummy ham and cheese sliders and a pasta salad. Obviously, today will be my high carb day. :D I’ve written out my September goals and really plan to hit this month hard. My Happy Scale app says that I should be at goal by next April. NOT if I don’t get my act together!
    September Goals:
    1. No Friday night wine (this one makes me sad but I think it’s necessary)
    2. Fasting-5 days push to 21+ hours, 2 days 18+ hours
    3. Workout six days a week
    4. Lower my carbs-I plan to do this by carb cycling my dinners and keeping my snacks very low carb. I also plan to limit my snacks!

@trooworld OH no! Your poor cake, and you worked so hard on it! I bet it was absolutely delicious, presentation is the least important part after all

@TeresaW1020 How did the wedding shower go? I love baked ham and cheese sliders, great idea to feed a crowd!

@theslightedgeforever Thank you for your encouraging words! You're absolutely right, we're definitely still learning as we go!

@cbabie Sometimes a shower truly does feel decadent. Sorry you overdid it on food but I'm glad you took care of yourself

Well...it officially happened. We have a positive COVID case in the office and I was exposed so I'm working from home for the next two weeks and going in for a COVID test. I'm pretty upset about it. I've been so careful in my private life and I'm frustrated I had to put my health on the line due to poor leadership decisions. Hopefully everything turns out negative. I haven't had any symptoms yet which is good, but that doesn't mean I won't develop them in the next few days.

Thanks to literally being trapped in the house I got a lot of schoolwork done. I read over 300 pages in two days and outlined my 5 page report and my 3 page journal entry to write up this week. My plan is to get as much schoolwork done as possible so I can try to enjoy my social life once I'm free again (since winter is coming so we only have so many nice days left...and now I have two weeks less of them to enjoy due to other people's poor decision making). I hope you all had better weekends than me.

Hey gang. Sorry I haven't been around. On my vacation in British Columbia.

@trooworld I did see you posted that salmon recipe for me and I'm going to check it out.

@trooworld How was the mattress? Did you sleep like a dream? Woohoo on your loss. I had half my water. So sorry about your cake. It looks like it tasted amazing though. What are your September goals?

@teresaw1020 So tell me what you found focusing on the weekly average versus the weigh in day. What were you getting out of each? What were you not getting? I don't know about trooworld and water but here's my thing. 1) I don't think about water like I think about food. I never say, oh I'm thirsty where I would look at a clock and say it's getting near lunchtime. I sip my drinks versus guzzling so it takes a long time to finish a drink whether it's water, a cup of tea, diet coke. I allow myself two of those a week. Lately I only finish half a can. I can nurse a cup of something over an hour or so and then have to reheat it. Meanwhile my family members can literally drink 2 glasses at the same sitting and I've drank an inch. Who knows, maybe my mom said when I was little don't drink alot or you are going to ruin your meals. Oh just thought of something, I can drink sweet iced tea faster. I used to only drink it when I went to visit my parents. My dad would complain he has to make more tea because of me. oh and I don't like sparkling water nor cold water. After all that, I probably should see a therapist regarding my water issues. lol Nice goals. Did you make you out a little spreadsheet to go along with it?

@mswatson0777 Sorry about the covid exposure. They called back 75% at hubby's work. Luckily he is still home. Never thought I would write that. Hm.... My 87 year old mil lives with us so we use that as a reason. That's good you made good use of your time. What are your September goals?

@its_cleo Oh enjoy that vacation. Just nice to get a change of scenery these days.

I have hit a 10 year high. I know the first bit will be easy to lose since it came on Fast. August was kind of a write off. Not much for exercising and eating like CRAP. Going to try to be strict with eating then taking the September long weekend off. Then it’s hard core September 7. Can’tbelieve I let myself get to here. Have 25 lbs I would love to lose. Just need to stay focused. And not just jump back hard into things. Will start this week with walking and some abs.

@trooworld You will feel more rested now. My goals are the same but I will look again mid September and maybe increase the water or exercise calories depending on how I do the first two weeks. I got in all my water.

@renaegry At first I was like woohoo congratulations. Then I realized what you meant about the 10 year high. Yeah, I remember when I did that. Right now I'm 36 lbs down from that and had lost a bunch more the last half of 2019 and well you know what happened this year. When I gained about 16 of it back. I had crossed the 50 lbs lost mark. :'( But I did it once I can do it again. So can you. I find the easiest way to keep me focused the long haul is to baby step it. Then I increase as I go. Slowly turning up the water to a boil.

@cbabie Have you ever thought of lowering your expectations on a Monday? Sometimes it's the disappointing ourselves and then the eating crap over it to make us feel better than gets us in the end. God rested one day a week, why not let your Monday be a rest day and just go to work and that's about it. Then you hit it harder the rest of the week. Slowly ease into your week. I used to have my rest day as Monday but just changed it because I was having a hard time getting up early to exercise on Sundays because I stay up so late on Saturday nights. Now it's working much better.

@trooworld Ohhhh my goodness!! That poor cake! I am very happy that you didn’t hurt yourself in the fall. And the best news is that the cake tasted delicious and now you have a great memory. When I was about 10 years old my aunt made lasagna for a family party and being the big helper I offered to carry it to the car but the hot pan touched my hand and I dropped the lasagna, which flipped upside down on the carpet. My sweet aunt just scooped that lasagna back into the pan quickly melted more cheese on top, covered the cheese stained carpet with a towel, and off we went to the party. :D I’m glad that you like your new mattress and have been sleeping better.

@mswatson0777 Ohhh I hope that you don’t catch COVID. I’ve been exposed twice now and I haven’t got it so hopefully, you won’t either. Our little college town is exploding with new cases due to the college students determination to party like it’s 1999 and NOT 2020. :#

@its_cleo I hope you are having a wonderful vacation!! <3

@theslightedgeforever My mom is like you with drinks. I’ve been on her to drink more water too. I have always been one to constantly drink (and pee :D ). I always have something to drink so I guess that is why it’s much easier for me. ;) Watching my weekly average and my weigh-in day over this last month has shown me that both are staying within the same few pounds, so it doesn’t really matter which one I watch because neither is moving down! My August graph has basically flatlined and yes, my plan is to change that this month. :)

@renagry Yup, you just need to stay focused on your goal and that extra weight will come off. That is what I keep telling myself! ;)

Good morning! So, our little wedding shower was a lot of fun. The couple had no idea that we were surprising them. We ate, played games, and they opened up our gifts. It was great having the 12 of us hanging out and now we are all looking forward to our annual Christmas party. B) I went into work yesterday for a few hours and helped our children’s director get ready for Wednesday night. This year in our kid's ministry Awana I am helping with the Cubbies, who are 3 to 5 years old. There will be seven of them. Should be fun! I’m ready to rock this month and get the scale to move!!

@teresaw1020 Thanks for explaining your reasons about the weight average. I was hoping you would have some life changing reasons. lol I decided to do an experiment with not weighing in daily. I did 3 days. Well that went bad. I'm just hoping it's because Granny Flo time is just around the corner. I will totally take responsibility for the days I went over but sheesh.....sounds like you are having fun.

@trooworld I got in 3/4 of my water goal today. I debated at the end of the day, should I just chug some but then thought about when I do that, I'm up and down constantly in the bathroom and then I'm useless the next day. So I said, start earlier next time. Sorry about your door. Things like that bug the heck out of me.

Morning all, I am officially off work now until next Monday..yes labor day. It was nice not to be rushed and the little one and my DH are still sleeping ad it's almost 9:30. I still don't sleep. However, it was so nice to walk even though it was 1 hour later than I had planned and get a shower, relax, read my Bible, pray..you know the stuff "I" love. LOL. Well I am still fighting heartburn, still gritting my teeth all day and night. I have found myself clenching my jaw even just to pick up the baby. My mouth is killing me, so trying to "relax" I might try CBD oil, it's citrus flavor, so we will see. I didn't track yesterday..8 hours on the phone was awful. BUT I get to be off the rest of the week.

@trooworld I am so sorry about the cake, and your door. I grit my teeth thinking about it. I think I really just hate liars, manipulators, etc. Why can't people just be truthful..I know Eve bit the apple. LOL. Glad you like your mattress...I need to get one, I think mine is at least 15 yr old..LOL When the baby jumps on it...you know the song. 10 monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and hit her head..you can hear the box below it.

@TeresaW1020 I smiled when I read you helping with the kids..I still miss children's ministry. I am going through my books and can't seem to get rid of anything associated with Sunday School, children, etc. My DH just rolls his eyes, he has given up on my books.

@theslightedgeforever Yes I should probably lower my expectations on LOTS of things, I am trying to take this week and plan better. Like right now my mouth hurts because of adult children/grandchildren and I have to stop and figure how to deal.. I won't lose my teeth and be like dad..LOL. (Although I remember the grandkids in awe or scared..LOL watching him move those teeth in and out. LOL

@renaegry yea I am back at my high in 3 years, well actually I guess I was there last June..now that I think about it. It took me breaking my wrist to break the cycle. So I think this time I better figure out a. better way LOL

@trooworld I've been having the same on and off problem with my fitbit not syncing. I had to unpair it and set it up as a new device. I've been doing this about once a month now. I think they do this so we will want to go out and buy a new fitbit.

@cbabie Yaaay on getting in a walk. I'm glad you got in some me time while the others are sleeping. Don't you wish there was a "block" function on real people? I found myself clenching tonight and don't really know why. I think sometimes it just becomes a habit.

@trooworld Ohhhh how sad that you were left to talk to yourself! It’s been really hot this week here too. I am so ready for fall weather! I hope you have a relaxing weekend and a holiday.

Good morning! Well, I somehow managed to lose .08 lbs this week. I’m three pounds away from Onderland…again! I’m trying to not dwell on how long this has taken me and just focus on doing what needs to be done. I saw a friend of mine yesterday who has lost over 40 lbs and looks amazing really motivated me to push harder to reach my goals. So, I’m off to work out! :)

@trooworld Ohhhh those caramel apple sangria sound heavenly!! I am off of all alcohol for September. :/ I am so sorry that your arthritis flared up and I sure hope your doctor can refer you to someone who can help. If you don't like your doctor definitely find a new one!

So, today has been fairly relaxing. I did a double workout this morning and finished 21 Day Fix. Tomorrow I will just walk on the treadmill and on Monday I start 10 Rounds, which is boxing and weight lifting. The FB group I joined for it has me worried because they talk about how bad it hurts their shoulder and I already have an issue with my right shoulder. So, I will have to see what happens. I listened to several podcasts today on a low carb eating so I might be jumping back on that bandwagon for sure. Although I am still going to do the carb cycling route first just to see if that works.

@trooworld I'm better with water if I drink it room temp. Cold water hurts my throat for some reason and I can't drink it as fast. I'm slow enough as it is with liquids. Today I didn't do well at all. I would love to live in a place where no AC and no heat are needed. I get up in the middle of the night or after sitting a bit and then my ankles are very stiff and it's hard to walk.

@teresaw1020 yaaay on your weight loss. My son did 10 Rounds. Any program works if you work the plan. So you need to figure out which program works with your lifestyle in the long run. My dd told me about her friend that has lost 100 lbs on IF. She got excited. I told her that she can't overeat in a 6 hr period because it doesn't work that way. Then I told her about a mutual friend of ours that has lost 100 lbs twice on WW. She's back to being up over 200 lbs again. While I really want my dd to lose weight for her sake, I'm trying to get her to see the long term them. Of course it's more do as I say and not as I do that she likes to point out. I tell her I was successful on my carb cycling for 6 months until I got sick. Then covid hit. Now I'm trying to get back in to it. Evidently I don't do well with stress.

Hi! I have found the last 2 yrs very trying physically (found I had a serious illness and the treatment has left me with other issues) and mentally. I have gained a whole lot of weight and am just embarrassed and lost. My point to this post is I have been thinking of joining WE and it seems most of you are already members. Thoughts? Advice? Is it worth It?

@trooworld Maybe something you are eating is causing inflammation. I hope you get it figured out. Poor water consumption for me today. Sometimes I wonder why did I create this goal. lol I know I need it so I'll continue.

@FindingShan Welcome to the group! I used to be a WW member but then got pre-diabetes so I needed to start counting carbs according to my doc. So currently I'm doing a carb cycling program. I have found watching others that any plan works if you work the plan consistently. At the end of the day, this plan must be YOUR plan. Fit into YOUR lifestyle. Tweak if you must. I'm a big believer in baby steps. I know you can do it. Just focus on the first pound.

Morning all, Yes I have been missing..ok I wasn't missing..just not here. LOL. I have done horrible. I am figuring out that I am eating to stay away, or bored and since I had broke my sugar fast, that's all I want now. So going to take a step at a time. This working 2 8 hour days with no lunch and only 2 - 15 min breaks stinks. I am working today and really didn't want to. I had made a contact with an old friend from my teen years from my church and she is becoming a coach for Optavia...she talked to me about it, but I want to eat reg food and not buy their food. But I was looking at the % of cal/protein/ etc...and thought I might try tracking those % and see what happens. LOL
LIke a wise woman on this group said find what works for you...

@trooworld I am so sorry to hear about your flare ups. I hope you find the reasons. Based on what the slightedge wrote not sure why I don't have that. :(. Sorry you were talking to yourself..I have found I am the only one that understands me when I talk..LOL

@TeresaW1020 Congrats on the loss. Any downward movement is a celebration in my book. !!

@theslightedgeforever what is that program your son used? How much did he lose? Must be fun in your house. LOL

@FindingShan Welcome to this board. We all come from various backgrounds, but I think we have all tried WW. I did for many years and got to goal. However, the old age belly has come to visit me and I am trying to get rid of it. I am so glad you are here.

@cbabie I’m glad you decided against Optavia. My associate pastor was a coach and he lost all his weight and in less than a year has put it all back on and more. It’s super expensive and just not obtainable for life. Eating real food is always going to be a better choice. That wise woman is right that we must find what works for us. ;)

@trooworld Yikes that is quite a list of things that might be causing your arthritis pain. Looking down that list the first thing that jumped out at me is that you need to go whole foods with an emphasis on healthy low carb eating. I know that in the IF and low carb groups that I have been in one of the first big health signs is a decrease in inflammation. Time to regroup and tweak your diet. ;) Wow! A girdle? I’ll be wearing Spanx this Saturday at a wedding. We girls gotta do what we gotta do.

Hey everyone! So, today I started my new workout routine called 10 Rounds, which is a mixture of boxing and weightlifting. It was a lot of fun and really made me sweat. Yesterday, DH and I went furniture shopping. We are wanting to replace this chair that has seen better days and I want to get a credenza for our front entry and replace this shelf thing that holds way more knick-knacks then I want. So, we just looked yesterday but I did find a credenza that I love and I bought an awesome turquoise vase. DH was confused as to why I was buying a knick-knack and I was like, “Duh because it’s on sale for $20 and it’s freaking awesome!” Men just don’t get it sometimes.

@trooworld I got in all my water today. yaaaaay. Spanx is a woman's best friend. At least now the material is so light compared to my mother's generation of girdles. Plus buying the correct size is important. my first spanx fitting left me breathless and sweaty. Only later did I learn I had bought the wrong size. lol Looking at that list my first thought was what are we supposed to eat. :D So I guess lean meats and f&v.

@cbabie I once read lose weight the way you want to maintain it. Plus listening to people and reading about people who are on maintenance, there's not a whole lot of difference between the two. We can never go back to eating the way we did that made us fat. I'm talking about portions not food. I will still always be one of those people who eat what they want but either less often or smaller portion. So instead of eating junk to stay awake, why not Red Bull or those little 5 hr energy bottles. Are they healthy? No. But neither is junkfood or even too much of regular food. At least you get the slim body along with it. lol Remember the days of Dexatrim? My son used 10 Rounds like Teresa is doing. He didn't lose alot of weight because of his diet, but he was more muscular and lean. He was sore alot though. I remember that. He would drag his body in and out. His way of working out is 10 or nothing on a scale of 1-10. He doesn't listen to his wise momma. He's either running at full blast or whatever is the most you can do, but then he stops and does nothing for periods of time. I'm like just walk and do it consistently. Of course that gets me a look of Well then why are you still fat? It's never been solely about the exercise for me. I tell him cause his stress makes me eat. :p Of course there is hubby's way of if we would only listen to him and follow his program. yeah, okay.

@teresaw1020 Good job on doing your 10 Round thing. You're a machine. How is carb cycling? Too true on the home shopping thing. We want to update our family room and are having "discussions" about it. We could never be one of those couples on HGTV and flip houses together.

Did any Fitbit wearers notice the new zone minute thing?

Morning. Time to get back at it. Head is in the game. Goal today is to stay within calories, get my steps in as well as my water.

Camping is done. Kids go back to school today so we will be back to a bit of routine. I have never felt so blah before. But I guess when you let 15 lbs sneak on in summer would be the cause. I know it won’t take me long to get below 160. That’s September’s goal.

@theslightedgeforever i have had the zone minutes for most of the summer.

@theslightedgeforever I think the carb cycling is working well for me so far. I loosely tracking but after years of calorie counting and then doing Keto, I pretty much know what I can and cannot have. I planned my menu this week to include really low carb foods that my mom and DH will like or that I can add bread or rice too for them and me if I want. The scale is moving down so that is a good indicator, right? HaHa, DH and I are pretty much on the same page with decorating and I get ultimate veto rights when it comes to décor. We also decided a long time ago that there is so much to choose from that we don’t ever go with something that the other really hates. I haven’t noticed that Fitbit zone thingy. I will have to go look. :)

@trooworld Well, I totally agree that if your body can handle complex carbs then you should eat them. No one should ever really eat the junk that makes up the most simple and highly processed carbs. I also really feel that we shouldn’t consume any seed oils and that is hard because most packaged foods contain them, which is why sticking to good whole foods is best. I hope that what you try will give you some much-needed relief. :)

@renaegry You got your goals and plan and now it’s time to make it happen! B)

Hello! This has already been a busy morning. I did my killer workout, which felt great but I’m sure I will be sore later. Mom and I went to Walmart and now I’m home needing to get some housework done. We are getting our screened porch built and this place is super noisy. I’m excited though! I imagine sitting out in the nice weather in the evenings and drinking a glass of wine. Or sparkling water since I gave up wine for September. :p
