09/14 - 128.4 - Did not follow any plans. Fried food for lunch, greasy pizza and wine.
09/15 - 128.4 - Yesterday was a family celebration. took day off and enjoyed freely with food and drinks. Starting fresh from today.
09/16 - 127.6 - 11K steps, 6 cups of water, healthy balanced meals. CI ~ CO. Did slip with piece of cake for dessert and more chips and dip for snack. Will incorporate more smaller meals today to see if it helps.
09/17 - 126 (?) - 10K+ steps, 8 cups of water, healthy balanced meals. CI < CO. Smaller meals definitely helped. Also rice instead of wheat was lighter. Not sure if I trust the number on the scale though.

Round GW - 156
09/14 - 158 - Another day stuck inside because of terrible air quality. Iβm exercising each morning using Ring Fit Adventure on the Nintendo Switch, though I wasnβt quite feeling it this morning. Meal prepped lunch and breakfast for the week yesterday, and dinners are all planned, so I just need to stay the course on snacks!
09/15 - 157.5 - Iβm debating getting a new scale - ours is old and only can do half pound increments. Afraid it might make me a little too obsessed with the number fluctuations though. Got a good workout in this morning, and hopefully will be able to take the kids out on a walk today.
09/16 - 157 - Got out for a 2.5 mile stroller run/walk this morning. Need to get more sleep at night - I know that can be a factor in weight loss and my little guy wakes up at 5 AM.
09/17 - 157.5 - Was hungrier than usual after dinner last night, but stuck to my usual greek yogurt bar for a snack and was well under my calorie allocation - proud of myself for that, even if the scale went up a little! Hopefully will make it over to Target pick-up to get the new scale today. My daughter insisted on waking up and watching me exercise with Ring Fit Adventure this morning; nice for motivation but it does mean everything takes longer since I need to read her the dialogue.

I'm not eating terribly, but I'm been pretty stuck at home for more than a week with the wildfires (VERY unhealthy air). As if COVID-19 wasn't enough! I'm still weighing in every day. I'm still trying to eat the best that I can. Until the air gets better, exercise really isn't a healthy option. For now, I'm just trying to maintain.

Previous days
09/14 115.2 We did a soccer workout this morning with a lower intensity. That worked well because my body just wasnβt feeling quite right. I feel really sleepy today for some reason even though I feel like I slept okay.
Typical day food wise, Iβve been enjoying my switch in the morning by having eggs with thin sliced cheddar on Daveβs Killer Multi grain toast and then the other slice I add peanut butter and a drizzle of honey and have a side of fruit. Then, for my snack Iβll have fruit with yogurt and granola. Dinner tonight will be leftover roasted cabbage with CSA salad greens and whatever else I decide to add to itβ¦Iβm thinking Iβll eat more cantaloupe and yogurt for dessert because we are getting more melons in our share today!
09/15 114.0 Woo, back down to 114 π. Iβm happy Iβve been seeing this number more over the past month. It makes me know itβs more of my real weight now and not a low fluctuation. I went for a nice walk with my father in law this morning, and as we were heading back we spotted my husband walking back as well. I decided to extend my walk and my husband joined me on the extension, so it was a nice morning of walking a little less than 6 miles. The slightly cooler temps in our apartment are making it easier to sleep better, and Iβm so happy about that. Sleep is so vital for me because if I donβt sleep well, Iβm useless for the day when it comes to getting much done with work and whatever else. Food is looking pretty good for today, toast with egg and cheese for breakfast, roast pork with mashed potatoes for dinner with carrots and salad. Iβm also excited to try the plums for my snack today that we got from our CSA yesterday!
09/16 114.0 We did a great soccer workout this morning! Iβm excited today to go to the city and get my flu shot (not really excited for the shot, but itβs an excuse for all of my colleagues to meet outside and then eat lunch in the bright sun after we all get poked) I havenβt seen them in person since March, so it will be nice to have a real conversation and not on Skype or Zoom! I have a peanut butter sandwich on Daveβs Killer Multigrain bread packed and a fruit salad (apple, nectarine, and black berries) with yogurt for dessert π. Dinner will be roasted chicken drum sticks with salad and I will save room for lemon polenta cake that was given to us last night as part of the dinner train. Have a wonderful day everyone!
09/17 114.2 Went for a nice walk this morning and enjoyed the 60 degree weather. We plan on heading to NH tomorrow night to get away for a couple nights, and Iβm so happy about that! Yesterdayβs food went well and I stayed the course, except for adding roasted radishes and beets to dinner last night. This summer I realized that I love roasted radishes! They are so good roasted and get very mild tasting π. On the menu tonight for dinner is spinach ravioli with sauteed spigariello (also know as broccoli leaf), tomatoes, and scallions. The ravioli are good because they calories arenβt the worst for something quick. The entire package of 6 large ravioli are 410 calories. So my dinner should only clock in at 600ish calories with the sides. Busy day with work and just now getting around to posting! Have a good rest of your day!

09/16 β¦..211.3 β¦.. Wonderful news after travel! When I am super low carb, even a small regular meal can put 3-5 pounds on me after travel so I was quite shocked to see a loss. Its very nice, but I know that βregular mealsβ do not help my diabetes. Only the lower carb ones so Iβve got to eventually go back to finding a balance. I will have to back out slowly (while backing back IN to low carb) to try to avoid those huge sugar drops. Iβm formulating my plan. Horrid night last night. I didnβt get to sleep until after 8:00 this morning. My personal and business stresses and situations really got to me last night but I avoided overdoing the bad snacks so I am proud of myself!

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle...sigh...now the smoke from the fires is keeping us inside.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

Ten Day Challenge
9/15 and getting stronger. Love this challenge....I start my day with weighing (use a Withings and heart rate monitor to track). For four months - a day at a time- I have not deviated from my lifestyle plan (spiritual, mental, and physical). Last month I lost nine pounds, but for the last two weeks (with a continuing 900+ calorie deficit daily and no eating back my exercise calories) I've continued to hover at 195. The science says this is not possible, so I've reviewed the charts and reflected on daily goals. I've kept my fat at 10% and continued with the deficit I'm trusting the process. The good news is my muscle gain is gently rising as my fat is slowly descending on the chart. I'm also seeing more strength and energy during my workouts. Yesterday, I had the best workout in the last four months of this journey. I'm welcoming this challenge as a new strategy to confirm that I will meet my goal of being out of the 190s by the end of the month. Best wishes to each of us....by staying in the moment making consistent daily positive choices towards health (on all levels) we will reach of goals! Thank you @ Jackie's Grandma for this opportunity!
9/16 and maintaining fierce dedication to my lifestyle!!! I'm learning patience is a strategy for success. I'm slowly gaining strength/energy which is a priority. I know the weight loss will be certain throughout this journey. Today I received the kettlebell that was ordered and looking forward to adding it into the fitness routine. Grateful for this opportunity and wishing everyone success with their daily goals.
9/17 and still noodling around the same weight. I'm donning my warrior gear and choose to look at the positive side of this odyssey....getting healthier, getting stronger, not gaining fat, mental strength, patience. So am I doomed to be the strong fat girl! I'm keeping my calories at a 900+ deficit and eat nutrient dense meals that are wholesome and filling. I'm increasing my fitness regime in monthly increments. I log in daily so aware of my calories, macros/micros, and all the biometrics on the Withings scale. I"m keeping the faith and will reflect at the end of the month. In the meantime, I'll be diligent, kind, and a bit self indulgent with scented epsom baths, the luxury of deep sleep, watching my garden grow, and letting my body know that I am safe and happy so there is no survival need to hang on to the chunkiness. Congratulations to all those that are successful and wishes for patience and knowledge that we will be joining their ranks for the rest of us. Just takes time....and when I think of where I was 6 months ago, I know that I can fly. Just have to let go of the weight holding me earthbound!

Day/Weight/Comment
09/14 141.0 I decided to incorporate my spoiler showing my round history. I finally feel like I've gained momentum in this process. Focusing on *maintenance*, not just the weight loss this time around. But my mini goal is to track my daily goals so I can hopefully get into the 130s again by hitting 139 this round.
09/15 141.8 Slightly up, but only slightly. Hit my goals yesterday and on track for the same today.
09/16 141.2 Hit my goals yesterday. Feeling very sore today and my back is killing me, so I'm going to be doing an arm workout for my 10 minutes today. I skipped dessert because I didn't feel like it, and I have to admit, I was hoping for a lower number today. But it's too early to call this a plateau. This is just the normal slowness of the process. More than anything, I'm waiting for that day when I *feel* lighter. I still feel ick.
09/17 142.2 I know I'm not truly up a pound, but I am still ready to see a lower number. I didn't hit my exercise goal yesterday, but I only had 1132 calories, so I'm not overeating by any means. Just have to keep plugging along.

Round 125 EW: 152.2:
We thoroughly enjoyed our celebration day on the 12th. This is what maintenance is all about. The occasional indulgent day does little harm in the long run.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

09/14 - walking 5k.
09/15 - weigh day 96.7! Mini GW1 accomplished. Now just need to keep it in the 96.x till the end of the challenge. Not sure if it will work since it must be water fluctuations.
09/16 - raining day, but you would be surprised how many steps you can get in the supermarket It was a bit too crowded but we tried to go in and out. 5K steps and groceries are in!
09/17 - It is surprisingly hard to combat curiosity and *not* get on the scale every day. It has been to discouraging before so I am trying something new. 2 more mornings to go! Better weather today but still slacker on activity
09/18 -96.1 the curiosity got to me and the scale shows way too low number. This will bite me with stalling later on will try skipping tomorrow's weighing day to not be disappointed. And enough is enough! Started with a 5k walk this morning.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/14 - 73.8 - Because of course it jumps up to what it was a week ago. This is why I'm glad I weigh every day, because it would look like I've not lost anything this last week, but I know that this is just a fluctuation up. And I know why too. Yesterday was a maintenance day. I knew it was going to be a maintenance day. I banked calories for it to be a maintenance day. It still feels wrong to allow my numbers go into the red. Ah well. Cider at lunch (first time I've drunk alcohol for ages, damn it was good), went out for lunch (nice burger and chips), lots of cheese for dinner and topped it off with a big chocolate cookie. CI was slightly above CO so not quite a true maintenance day, but considering my deficit for the week, I'm still pretty happy with it all and all. And I didn't eat all of my lunch because it was there. When I was full, I stopped nibbling at the chips and left them.
09/15 - 74.0 - Now you can just stop it. My legs are killing me. Judo yesterday killed me. My legs were still kind of hurting going into the session left over from Saturday, and then what did we do during the circuits? More flipping frog jumps. Aaaaah! It's fine, I don't need to use my legs! And I think I've pulled my hamstring because I am so close to getting left side splits flat to the floor (something I've not been able to do since I was a about 10), so I pushed it a little too much trying to get there, I did make it though, but only for a second, and it hurt so maybe a little bit longer on that one. So yeah, fluid retention is strong today. Hopefully we'll see a drop tomorrow back to something a little more sensible.
09/16 - 74.4 - Why? Seriously though, why?
09/17 - 73.8 - Right, well at least that better. Lets see if this trend continues. Yesterday was hard, I am getting really hungry at the moment (lead up to my period week, I think) and I decided to work from home where all the food was available. But managed to keep it at bay and eat fairly sensible. Dinner was somewhat disappointing as I'd bought some lean cut pork sausages with a lower calorie count. But the amount of calorie difference was no where near enough to make up for the fact that they were just not as nice a normal sausages. And they shrank up quite small, so two wasn't really quite enough, and at that point is the sausage just less calories because there's less of it than other brands. Well whatever, not going to be going for that again.
09/18 - 73.8 - It's frustrating that it's still not going down, but with this week I'm not overly surprised. I have been oh so hungry this week. Yesterday was definitely the peak of my hunger. I just did not feel satisfied with anything yesterday. Normally I save some of my breakfast shake to eat later at about 3pm (when I start feeling a little munchy), but that didn't happen, and I was still hungry afterwards, and I was still hungry after lunch, even though I packed extra fruit because I thought I would be hungry, and I ate more than a few squares of the 'not very nice chocolate' I keep in my desk to stop me going to the shop for a snickers. And it took every ounce of willpower I had not to say "screw it" and order a takeaway for dinner. But order I did not, and I pulled some leftovers out of the freezer and had that instead. I finished the day still a little hungry, but under maintenance. No matter what the scales say, I'd call that a win.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/14 170.0lbs Four days at the same weight, I'm hoping for a drop soon. However, I'm weighing in an hour earlier than usual.
09/15 169.8lbs Just done half an hour of exercise. An even earlier weigh in as well, I've been meaning to do this for ages but didn't want to show an increased weight!
09/16 169.6 later weigh in but have not exercised yet so not too worried
09/17 169.8 late weigh in, no exercise yet. Not worried about 0.2lb
09/18 169.8 Now I am worried. It's time I had another drop. I'm in a bad mood today. I had arranged for a pick up of furniture from a house I am emptying. I rang th company this morning and was told that I would get a call 30 mins beforehand. Ten minutes later got a call saying we phoned but you were on the phone and we can't wait any longer!
