    RE: NEWS We we’re discussing what passes as “news” these days and we older folks agree that there are no news reports of JUST THE FACTS. Every broadcast, broadcaster, or network puts their own spin on the stories. Missing Walter Cronkite, Chet Huntley and David Brinkley and others.

    I totally agree. I also blame this on the 24-hr news station idea, which turned out to be a really bad one. There's not enough "news" to talk about for that long, so they have to devolve to opinions. I, too, miss Walter Cronkite.

    Day 01 – 09/17 ….210.8…..Very Pleased. This is a nice way to start! Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 09/18 ....210.6….. Happy Dance!
    Day 03 – 09/19 ….211.2….. canned soup with crackers. Too much sodium but had no time to cook yesterday.
    Day 04 – 09/20 ….210.8….. Better!
    Day 05 - 09/21 …..211.0….. not a bad little increase after movie night with son and some pizza.
    Day 06 – 09/22 …..210.8….. Traveled today so tomorrow will be pitiful. Going to get very diligent to knock it back into the atmosphere. No extra fat allowed to hang around here. Time to go!
    Day 07 – 09/23 …..212.0….. After travel. I will work on this today.
    Day 08 – 09/24 …..210.8….. Traveled again but kept it to one meal and a small snack and I was rewarded!
    Day 09 – 09/25 …..211.6….. I hate gaining when there is no apparent reason why. Yesterday was a pretty good day. However, there was not much movement due to all the special meetings I had. So today I will focus on more movement and cautiously go to the grocery store for more water (which is a little scary on a Friday in this small tourist town). Hydration may be key today. Flush, flush, flush.

    Day 11 – 09/27 …..211.2….. I am not getting where I want to be in a very healthy way. Even with the scale going down I am not super happy. I know I avoided meals yesterday and just ate too much junk. It may have been lower calories overall and it may have caused a decrease on the scale but it is all about healthy and sustainable. I vow to have a better day today. One day at a time, right?
    Day 12 – 09/28 …..209.8…..Yay!!! Better meals, a bit better movement. I just gotta watch those bad snacks!
    Day 13 – 09/29 …..210.0….. Just a simple fluctuation. I had a very well-balanced day yesterday. Low cal for sure.
    Day 14 – 09/30 …..211.0….. Chinese food yesterday with leftovers today. Still down a tad from the start.

    Day 15 – 10/01 …..211.0…..I finished the last of the Chinese food. Now time for healthier and less sodium!
    Day 16 – 10/02 …..209.0….. Whoosh! Practiced some IF yesterday and tried to keep the calories low (AS THEY SHOULD BE) . I hope today will be another good day!
    Day 17 - 10/03 …..210.4….. I salted my low sodium veggie soup because it tasted sweet and then I cheated with some dessert when I could have just had the soup and called IT dessert! Lesson learned. However, I am still down 1.6 in the last 10 days which is better than I’ve done in awhile so I will try to keep up the momentum. I am hydrating a lot today to offset any bloat.
    Day 18 – 10/04 …..210.0….. Going back down, even with challenges. #nevergiveup
    Day 19 – 10/05 …..211.6….. I ate healthy yesterday but dinner was not until 11:00 pm (busy day). Lots of steps also so this is a shock! No TMI this morning so that doesn’t help. Very disappointing but not disrupting. Staying on track today.
    Day 20 – 10/06 …..209.4….. Whoosh!
    Day 21 – 10/07 …..209.6….. A good day yesterday so this is likely a normal fluctuation.
    Day 22 – 10/08 …..209.8….. Another good day. The slight fluctuation must be from no TMI (potty) x 2 days. Otherwise, all is well. Good choices are being made. Not too much movement due to a pretty yucky foot injury but otherwise, all is well.
    Day 23 – 10/09 …..209.6…..Slightly better but my snacks were cheats last night. Working to stop the midnight madness!
    Day 24 – 10/10 …..210.0…..Fish fry last night. Today I will be extra careful. I am going to go look at Dawn’s videos right now. Pretty exited!
    Day 25 – 10/11 …..209.2….. Yay!
    Day 26 – 10/12 …..208.6….. Artificially low? We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
    Day 27 – 10/13 …..208.6….. I see I posted my stats yesterday on the wrong challenge. I guess I was just excited! I traveled today so I am afraid of tomorrow’s numbers, but I will try to stay positive and tackle whatever mean ol’ number that scale may bring.
    Day 28 – 10/14 …..209.2….. I’m actually quite pleased with this. Sometimes carbs pack on 2-3 pounds from one travel meal! As a diabetic, I always eat when traveling. I am sure I will always choose those lovely foods not available in my little home town. However, changing habits in some way IS good so I am trying to resign myself to smaller portions. Also a lighter calorie/carb day the day after. No need to keep the extra ounces (on my hips) right?
    Day 29 – 10/15 …..208.4….. God is Good and He has always had my back. Today is the first step in some life-changing things I have been working on. It puts me one step closer to where I need to be in my personal and professional life. I hope everyone will smile with (and for) me today. As far as my weight goes, I am not counting every carb and calorie again, just yet, but I am tweaking and making some important changes on this particular path of my journey. When all my resolutions are here, I will be able to focus again. It will be before Christmas I hope. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Down almost a whole pound overnight and a bit lower than my pre-travel weight! I am estatic!
    Day 30 – 10/16 …..208.2….. I’ll take it!
    Day 31 – 10/17 …..207.6….. I am trying to make a better difference everyday in my diet, movement and attitude. I’m not 100% yet, some personal things continue to hold me back in time and energy, but I’m on my way!
    Day 32 – 10/18 …..208.2….. I was very careful and got in some extra movement. I did have garlic bread (2 slices) so I guess I deserve this. I am still carefully watching portions (otherwise).
    Day 33 – 10/19 …..207.4….. I enjoyed a new Deep Dish Pizza place in my little rural town. It was very good. I ate ½ of what I would normally eat and saved the rest for my dinner. No snacks at TV time to make up for the carbs/calories. It really helped and my weight has moved down! I will make today a great day!
    Day 34 – 10/20 …..207.0…..I made a few bad choices but stopped temptation in it’s tracks and made the actual decision to make better one’s for the rest of the day. So glad I did!
    Day 35 – 10/21 …..206.2….. I’m actually patting myself on the back today. So proud I have continued my changes. Yesterday I danced to one song on my Alexa and I did one Fitness Marshall (Sour Candy) with Lady Gaga. It felt like a 20 minute workout so I am out of shape but it was fun. I always love watching him!
    Day 36 – 10/22 …..207.6…..Well that Sux! I guess grilled cheese & tomato soup is off the menu in the near future! Having chili-dogs at a local bar/restaurant today with a friend. I will have to work my whole dietary day around the pre-planned lunch. I need more movement and water today too.
    Day 37 – 10/23 …..206.8….. I could have done without the French silk pie, or could I? Still trending down so I must be diligent!
    Day 38 – 10/24 …..207.8….. Lucky Charms for dinner is a no-no.
    Day 39 – 10/25 …..208.2…..A horrid day of grab & go eating. In fact it has been that way for the past few days. I MUST find time to cook but its pretty hard to do when most of my time lately has been away from home on projects. Tomorrow I travel far & wide to pick up my car from transmission shop downstate. I won’t be home until late evening. More weight!
    Day 40 – 10/26 …..208.2….. Feeling like a loser right now without losing.
    Day 41 – 10/27 …..210.4….. After travel weight. Fall is trying to get to me again with the pre-snow (bad roads) travel rush and with the warm & toasty comfort food. Too cold to walk and all that jazz. Knowledge is power! Today will be a good day.
    Day 42 – 10/28 …..209.2….. Working it back down again. Cha-Cha!
    Day 43 – 10/29 …..207.9….. I don’t think I entirely deserve the nice drop on the scale but I’m grateful. Skipped breakfast with a fast, very low cal lunch. We won’t talk about the rest.

    @jaccimc63 so pleased for your DD's negative test, I know how worrying that would be. Condolences for your client, really brings home the gravity of the situation when you actually know someone who has lost their life for to this awful pandemic 🤗🤗 X.

    @RockstarRae45 Do you use olive oil on your salad or add avocado? Fats lead to the feeling of satisfaction. Any fats work - I have been known to eat slivers off the stick of butter - but healthy fats are good for you. I like a little avocado in a salad but can’t eat it right out of the “shell” like my daughter.

    Yesterday was more like a lot of greens, a little pasta, onion, feta, shredded pork, basil, sunflower seed kernels, olives and 1 egg with 2 tsp ranch. It was probably just too low in calories. Today's salad I added a veggie chicken patty, pasta, feta, olives, onion, 1.5 eggs and Italian dressing to the same greens and almost didn't finish it. I agree that using olive oil or avocado (or more whole grains and seeds) would help! I get tempted to add fillers but should keep those healthy fats in mind!
