I haven't started a formal exercise program yet, but I have been trying to move more/get more steps in since September. I haven't lost any weight, so I was pleasantly surprised today that a pair of jeans that normally only fit when I'm about eight pounds lighter actually fit now.
That is such a great feeling and really shows what a bit of movement can do: congratulations!5 -
I bumped into my friend Ann, who is a portrait photographer. She noticed my weight loss, and also mentioned my face looks different. I looked in the mirror, and it's because you can now see my cheekbones!14

It's not my most recent but the one that gave me my first boost of motivation. There was a time when I had to bend over to see my feet. After I had been following my plan for a while, I was able to look down and see my feet without bending over. That made me feel good. I don't ever want to go back to those old times. That may not mean much to everybody, but it sure means a lot to me.31

I started weighing my food again, every single morsel!😂17

Epiphany: I am no longer letting my face ( especially the senses of sight, smell and taste) decide the nutrition that my body needs, that's my brains job. Why should I let a few thousand sense receptors decide the fate of the other billions of my bodies cells? Better to let my trillions of brain's neuron interconnections work that out.

I bought a pair of jeans that I knew would be too small but I expected to get into them in Jan. or Feb. and they were on sale. I tried them on when they were delivered and they fit now- tight but they fit.23

This might be a strange one, but I'm really starting to see it. Logically I know I'm smaller, I went from 210lb to 138lb, obviously, I'm smaller but I'm actually seeing it. Instead of just seeing those spots I'm not happy with I'm seeing what I've accomplished in the last year, and I'm happy. Hopefully, I can firm up those spots I'm not thrilled with but if now? I look damn good in my clothes and no one is seeing me naked. XD.24

My dad—who never notices ANYTHING—asked me today if I lost weight! I said probably not because I actually had to put the scale away since it was triggering me too much but it was nice to know someone actually noticed something.23

I ran stairs today for my workout!! I went to my garage gym but it was too cold for me to start so I decided to take my workout inside. I did stairs, burpees and push-ups for my workout. It was a short 15 minutes workout but it is something I would not have chosen to do a few months ago.21

Not really a victory, but it’s definitely fun so I want to share it today after entering in my after dinner snack I hit my calorie goal spot on. I wasn’t just “under” or even over by 10cal, I was dead even spot on and that’s never happened before. I know that one minor error in measuring throws that off and it’s highly unlikely that my true intake is ever exactly what’s entered. Still, seeing the number break dead even instead of having 20, 5, or whatever number calories to spare was pretty fun. It caught me by surprise
Just FYI, 0 calories remaining means that if you close your diary, the post on your news feed will NOT say you stayed under your calorie goal 🤪
I noticed that!! How silly, yet remarkably consistent3 -
This wasn’t the tastiest but I ate a fresco taco bel taco with two hard boiled eggs and a veggie tray. Just to stay in my macros. It worked ☺️☺️🤷🏾♀️13

I’m twenty pounds down and I can officially say that when in sitting in the dining room my thighs no longer touch the table.22

The spouse is starting to plan dinner early with me - she's working on weight loss too. I really like when I know what I'm going to have for dinner because then I can decide what to have for breakfast, lunch and snacks and do better with my macros. Tonight is homemade pizza night. My NSV for today was pre logging my snacks, then noticing that my carbs aren't bad but I need more fiber, so picking an apple and PBfit instead of sugarless halva. The PBfit will give me that nut flavor I want, the apple will give me fiber, and I'm low enough on sugar today that the fruit won't be an issue.14

I have conquered my mayonnaise addiction! I made tuna salad today with nonfat Greek yogurt instead and it was even better than with mayo! The yogurt is only 50 calories, much of it protein and no fat, versus 300 calories, mostly fat.19

It is kind of stupid - but I had a flannel that I had to hide in the corner of my closet when I gained my latest pile of weight, and yesterday I got cold outside while I was working and went inside and put it on. It buttoned, and was comfortable. The last time I wore it - I couldn't button it.35

I can run up 2 flights of stairs on my tip toes just for fun after a day of work. I would have never thought about doing that 4 months ago.21

I had a burger for lunch today. The nsv being that when I rang to place my order they asked if I wanted chips with it and I decided I didn’t want them. Also I had logged to have a Powerade with lunch (I have an active job, it’s summer in Australia (it’s currently 38°C/100.4F) and I’m already on to my 3rd 1 Litre bottle of water so was thinking something sweet to drink with lunch would be nice) As I was packing my things up to head to lunch I looked at my water bottle with ice floating in it and decided it looked more refreshing and didn’t get the Powerade.23

I am going to celebrate an older NSV, two weeks ago before more lockdown restrictions came into effect, I was swimming in the pool for an hour non stop. Plus I had almost crossed the whole pool underwater on one breathe. If they hadn't shut the pools, I figure I would be making it the whole way across under with one breathe now. Oh well, I have something to work on when pools reopen.14

I am having some health issues due to having had half of my thyroid removed in September.
I'm tired all the time, I sleep 14 hours a day, my blood pressure has dropped precipitously, and my blood glucose is through the roof. Before now, when I had health scares, I'd react by overeating...
But this time around I have decided that RESISTANCE IS NOT FUTILE!
So I made an emergency appointment for laboratory blood-work to determine what's going on and didn't break diet, not even a tiny bit.21
