@mytime6630 I'm sorry about your SIL. I get what you mean about age, the older we get, the more our ages seem still young! Not nearly old enough to lose.

@littleblackskirt I have a smart weighing scale that gives me other data.
BMI, %age water, muscle, fat; bone weight; TDEE.
The figures tally with the BODYTRAX machine used by my local gym, so are fairly accurate.

Thanks Terri, that is interesting. I'd be tempted but I think I'd also need a new phone, my phone is so old there is no storage space for another app. I'm still wondering HOW the scales know what's inside a body though lol.

@cschmitz110515 that's the law isn't it? You can't move if the cat is comfy.

    So JFT Wednesday
    Remember my aims yes
Walk if the rain stops yes only 25 minutes but glad to get out, have missed a few days
    Back exercises yes
    Wrap some presents no

Have had a good Thursday, eaten normal meals and no snacking. Back exercises done. Babysitting went well.
Also made progress with Dads estate, got forms submitted for probate just before they shut down for the holidays, so that's a relief to know it's moving forward, and I shouldn't have much to do over the holiday.

Aiming for another good day tomorrow.

      Just for Thursday
      • 24H Plan and Assess 💯
      • 64 oz water 🥴 48 oz. Too much coffee today while I was running to doc appts and shopping.
      • 30 minutes intentional activity B)Does shopping count?
      • PT appointment 💯
      • Stop at TJMaxx for ornament buddy gift and Christmas cards, STAMPS 💯
      • Bake 2 batches of Christmas cookies or breads 🥴
      • Make 2 patchwork bags or stockings for kiddos 🥴
      • Listen to NoBS Podcast and/or Course lesson. Listen to Half Size Me. 💯
      • Evening Routine: Get ready one hour early, gratitude journal, readings, lights off 10:30. 💯

Yesterday, I just plain ran out of time. I spent way too much time in TJMaxx (or TK Max as they call it by @Bex953172  ). It was good though, because I really needed to get that package mailed out and I found what I needed there.

Today, I have spent a lot of time making phone calls that I have been procrastinating on, and have a few more to make. Then I'm hitting the sewing machine and the baking hard! Needs to get done. I won't be having the family over for Christmas this year, and I'm trying really hard to think of things I can do instead so I don't just shut myself in the bedroom, curl into a ball and cry. This has been a tough year on so many of us. Hang in there! It's not forever!

I plan to put together a box of all our regular baked goods and do drive-by's at all the kids' houses and drop a box off for each family. Hoping to peak in their windows to see their Christmas trees and wave at the kiddos. If I get the little patchwork sacks/stockings done in time, I'm going to tuck a few little goodies in those for the kids too. I can't afford presents for them this year since job loss (we have 23 grandkids), so maybe some little things from the Dollar Tree? IDK. Life has turned topsy turvy in 2020!

@mytime6630 My prayers are with you and your family. I'm so sorry to hear of your SIL. I am happy to hear that you are able to have your daughter over on the patio for Christmas though! Hot cocoa or a nice hot coffee beverage and a heater, some Christmas music playing perhaps?

      Just for Friday
      • 24H Plan and Assess

      • Make 4 patchwork bags/stockings for kiddos
      • Listen to NoBS Podcast and/or course lesson.
      • Be in the present tonight with hubby for Friday's movie night. :)
      • Evening Routine: Get ready one hour early, gratitude journal, readings, lights off 10:30.

Tim has 3 adult kids from first marriage and I have 3 adult kids from first marriage....between those 6 adult kids, we have 18 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids! So if we buy the adult kids and their spouses a gift, then all the grandkids and the great-grandkids gifts, it adds up really quick!

that IS a lot of grandchildren!! But think of all the cute little things you can sew for them!!! Have you seen the little baskets to sew? I am making some for my daughter, and didn't get around to sewing them earlier to send to our 5 grandkids. But they sew together super fast .. and you can fill them with little things like pencils, stickers, candy, socks, etc -- things that wont cost too much.

And what a wonderful idea to drive by each house. You are very lucky they live close enough to do that. I wish so much we could drive to Michigan.

Hey all. Thanks to those of you who have checked up on me. I do appreciate it. My depression has been rearing it's ugly head again. Nothing as serious or dangerous as before, just a general loss of interest in life. Even minimal self care has been difficult. Things like showering and brushing my teeth aren't happening like they should. I know, gross... Exercise is not happening at all. I'm not even getting 6000 steps most days. I'm late for work may days, but do well when I'm there. I only go into the office 2 days a week, on my work form home days, I mostly lay around and check emails. Not very engaging. The family is doing well, Christmas gifts are purchased and wrapped, cookies are made, but I just don't feel it this year. Going to the Boys & Girls Club tonight to drop off some gifts and sticking around to wrap gifts. I do take some pleasure in doing things to make others happy, and I can enjoy moments throughout the day, but when the moments are over I quickly slip back into numbness. I did paint a mural for my daughters room of a Cygnus A which is a Radio Galaxy Star. It turned out ok, but I fell off the step ladder completing it on Monday. No serious injuries, just stiff and bruised. Chalk it up to 2020 I guess.

Saw my Psych yesterday and she decided to adjust my meds. Hopefully, that will help me have a desire to live life again rather than just existing in it. She also suggested I make some simple goals each day. Funny, I used to do that and I used to interact here in this group. I miss y'all and your support, but it's my fault that is gone.

For the Newbies, welcome. Sorry you had to hear about my struggles. I try not to always be a whiner, but sometimes folks around here want an update. This is a great group!

Depression sucks! I’ve suffered through it three times now and I think I feel it trying to settle in and get comfortable again now, but I’m fighting it.

Hugs to you, I hope the med change helps.
