What's Your Most Recent NSV

This morning I went for 2021’s first run before the rest of the house even woke up.
Later, when my SIL asked if I wanted to join for an exercise video I said yes even though I had already worked out and didn’t have an extra change of clothes (2 good reasons to pass).
Then I borrowed a T-shirt from my brother. Men’s Medium and it was quite roomy24 -
I swam over 700 miles in a year when my pool was closed for two months.26

My most recent NSV --work with me here-- was raising my goal weight by 5 lbs. It's just more achievable, and still a perfectly healthy weight, and I feel like this is me accepting myself more realistically and I'm actually finding it motivating.39

Buying size 8 jeans, for the first time in over 40 years!32

One year ago, my average 'running' speed was 6,5kph and I was still doing walking intervals. Yesterday I managed to run a full 15 minutes at a speed of 8kph, at the end of a 1hr run.28

Finding the courage to pick myself back up and start again.41

NSV currently is the fact I said no to pizza last night! Me! Saying 'no' to PIZZA!? Who would have guessed!? AND Christmas and New Years, I actually was mindful of what foods I was grabbing!20

Remembering that I do better with a few set breakfasts and lunches to rotate through. It helps me to make sure I eat at regular intervals. And somehow I’m getting greater enjoyment out of them.
I’m also carrying a serving of almonds with me on the go for the times I need to eat between meals. I find them to be a satisfying snack that doesn’t trigger me wanting to snack more.15 -
someone at the gym said you have lost weight. Had not seen in a long time. Felt good, I have not lost any weight for 2.5 years so no one says anything any more.14

Ran a half marathon this morning!29

Realized I don't even need to unbutton and unzip my size 12 jeans to take them off. Guess it's time for a smaller size again. Also bought a pair of medium workout pants and they fit!18

My daughter bought me a 2xl shirt for christmas and she apologized saying she knew i didn't fit it but it was cute and it would be for "later". The "later" turned out to be 2 days later when i tried it on to see how close i was. It's snug in a couple parts but comfortable in most places. Seeing that gave me the confidence to start releasing my 6xlt shirts to good will.32

great job. i had my first belt made for me in early november and had to take it back right after xmas because i ran out of holes. went from hole 2 to hole 5. i hope you need a new belt soon but will keep this one as a souvenir.10 -
Three things to be happy about today.
-20 degrees celsius and I still went for my walk. Phone died in the cold but I was keeping warm while keeping a good pace.
My motorcycle jacket zips up even over my boobs. (Not yet brave enough to try on the pants, I think those will need several more months)
I lost 4 cm from my waist in little over a month. The last 4 cm took over 4 months I think, since it was only my bra area that shrunk. So I went down bra sizes but not pant sizes. Maybe now is the time for this belly to start shrinking!23 -
I can touch my toes with straight legs.31

I love candy, especially chocolate, and my mom was gifted a few chocolate bars for Christmas and said I could have any of them if I wanted. One of them was a special flavored bar and I thought it sounded good so I broke off a piece to try. It was so tasteless that for a minute I was sure I had COVID and had lost my sense of taste. Nope, it was just a crappy chocolate bar. The NSV is that, whereas before I would've eaten the whole thing regardless of whether I was really enjoying it or not, this time I just put it down and walked away.30

Mince pies were only 20p in the local artisan bakers, but I didn’t buy any! That is HUGE for me.19

Wearing 36" waste jeans and taking down Christmas lights doesn't work. I had to "reset" my wardrobe at twice during the process because everything is so loose it won't lock together like it used to.
...despite the holiday 5...11 -
I've been in maintenance for 5+ years, but spent the past year (re-) losing 10-15 vanity pounds ultra-slowly, by intention. My jeans had been getting tight late 2019, and I hate to shop: Wasn't gonna go up a size.
Recently, preparing for a long walk on a sub-freezing day, I found that long-ago obese Ann's now very-oversized duofold long john pants (two layer cotton/wool) fit quite easily inside those very same jeans, despite excess fabric - really a bit of room to spare.24 -
I have been having a very hard time losing weight....I finally got ten pounds off and I can feel the difference in my stomach...Still need to lose, about, thirty more pounds...19
