Bear with me...this is a bit long. I stand by the thought Everybody is Somebody's dream. Case in point...this evening while walking into a store, someone leaving the store commented on my appearance. We both had to walk a good 20 feet before passing each other. As they passed by they said "Ummmm girl, you got a nice set 'a hips on You!" I kinda laughed it off, said thank you, and kept walking. It got me to thinking. I'm currently what you would consider Renaissance Beautiful. You know what I'm talking about, think Titan and Renoir. I joke with hubs that right now I could be in a painting laying on a couch hanging in a gallery. People would immortalize this body back in the day! Anyway, back to my thought... I'm on a journey to get into "better shape"; shed some pounds, strengthen my muscles, and just see what my body is overall capable of. My plan does include dropping roughly 40 pounds, but I don't have an I'll be happy if...,or a cemented scale number. At the end of the day I'm confident with myself Renaissance Beautiful or Modern Day Fit. But today I was "it" for somebody. Just like I am right now, no "better shape" required. I said all that to say this. Don't get discouraged if you feel to be accepted you have to be in "better shape". There is always someone out there who would look at you, just like you are, and say that's "it" for me. Don't get me wrong, keep chasing a healthier you; but don't forget Everybody is Somebody's Dream.
I'd probably say something stupid like "I like the way they bounce!" (re: your voluminous curls) only to realize the error of my ways when your husband suddenly appears from the hunting & rifle section.8 -

Trust me, if he’s the type to wander into the hunting & rifle section, BLOODY NOTHING makes him reappear. So praise the bounce all you want3 -

I remember this moment vividly... I first started here feeling ashamed of my body. I know there was absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, but thanks to years of mental conditioning, I felt fat and ugly, and that's what I saw.
I worked my butt off. Got the six pack. Got "too thin" and "too manly" but, gawd, I felt like finally I had arrived. I had it. THE BODY.
Then I wandered into the forum and stumbled on a "what body do you find attractive" thread. The one that posted bodies at varying body fat percentages.
I literally broke down when I saw how the VAST MAJORITY OF RESPONSES said they liked what would have been my old body, and on top of it all, many actually thought my then current body was "gross".
I had this moment of... WTAF? REALLY? ALL THIS FOR "GROSS"? For manly?
And at that moment I realized. I'm not doing this for ANYONE else. I am doing what I want. For me. And whoever gets this package will have to love it, or take a hike.
It was liberating and devastating all at once.
TLDR... THE BODY YOU HAVE IS DESIREABLE TO SOMEONE.
and more importantly...
Do what you do, for you.8 -

Love this on a couple levels. I LOVE when someone can be “brave” enough to compliment someone in public. And you’re so right. Even better yet.....let’s be “IT” for ourselves right now. Enjoy the journey. Look at ourselves and even though we want to make changes....know we are more than good enough and hot *kitten*.3 -

There is no denying now.
I’ve really been having a hard time with it.
I know it’s stupid but I can’t help it.
The tears flow.
You are wonderful! The older I get the farther back the definition of “old” gets....funny how that works! But you’re beautiful and always so kind around here. Happy birthday in advance. 🥳❤️4 -

GRRRL you are glorious. You're beautiful, sweet, caring, and all around awesome from what I see. You are more than any number.
I get it. Some days I look in the mirror and all I see is grey hair and wrinkles... But it just makes me the more badass for still pushing hard.
Let's not grow old gracefully. Let's attack this year so that we are able to say.. Hey... Not many people our age can say they live life like we do.
And besides... You're already rocking the year now... By the time you turn x, the year has completed and you're starting your next revolution.
This was a huge thing for me when turned 40... I realized when I was 39 and 3/4, that I'd already been living 3/4 of my 40th year. And I was killing it. By the time my 40th birthday hit, I was like... Bring on 41! Lol
Long story short. You're awesome. No matter what number is attached to your ID.
Thank you for this ❤️ I needed it!
I’ll be 60.
You're still a child. Believe it or not, there's a lot of freedom and joy in hitting that number. Make it empowering, not depressing. You've got the hallmark of a kind, sweet, funny, beautiful individual; don't be afraid to let it shine no matter what birthday you encounter. Get out of your comfort zone and live life!! Because you've still got a lot of it left to live!!

Lanea and Kickass, and a whole lot of others here.....you're all wonderful the way you are. There are more sides to a person than what the scale tells you or how your muscles ripple(or don't). I just want to tell you, from my standpoint you're funny, giving, understanding, compassionate, trustworthy, kind, helpful, on and on. Don't let any one thing about yourself define who you are and can become. The best sign of beauty that anyone can have is a smile. Wear yours proudly.9
