I got up this morning and walked for 15 minutes first thing! My goal is to eventually wake up earlier & walk/jog longer, but I am a chronic snoozer and have so much trouble getting up early in the mornings, especially working from home. Baby steps!!26

I ate half a donut this morning. That's a big deal! Let me tell you why.
This morning I took my daughter for donuts. It's what she wanted as a reward for a really good report card (we can talk later about using food as a reward!). She got a regular glazed donut and a small kolache. Since I was in the shop, I bought myself a blueberry donut, because that's my favorite. My theory was I could work it into my calorie budget for the day because I'd brought a salad for lunch.
Then I bit into the donut and didn't love it. It just didn't have much taste. I took a second bite, because I'd already started down the path. Then a debate happened in my head with these points:
Pros:
You've already started, so you may as well finish.
It's not that bad to have just one day over calories (Narrator: it's not just one day)
Cons:
It's not really that tasty.
It has a lot of calories with little nutritional value.
Today is a rest day, so there will be no "extra" calories to be consumed.
And then I stopped eating it. I stopped IN THE MIDDLE OF EATING A DONUT. The rest of the donut went back in the bag and into the trash when I got work! Feeling very proud of myself!54 -

Went to the doctor today, my A1c on November 30th was an insane 11.4. After a month and a half it was down to 7.7 today! Doc said I don't know what you're doing, but whatever it is keep doing it. Next appointment is in 3 months. To be continued.....29

About 2 weeks in now and my waking blood sugars are under 95, except for the one morning when I had forgotten to take my insulin (I'm type 2) the night before and it was 120 in the morning. I was consistently over 140 in the mornings and am now at 60% of my former insulin dose.22

This is awesome! I really really want this to happen to me as well. How much weight did you lose? How do you know it's gone Did? Did you get retested?
Iv lost a large amount of weight since I was first diagnosed, but but doctor won't let me get retested. I had it really bad when I was first diagnosed, but iv dropped a bunch of weight.5 -
I bought a new treat from a local bakery, realised I didn’t actually like it that much and threw away the last third without much debate.22

Under calories yesterday, went to a friend’s house and brought my favorite humongous homemade chocolate chip cookies. Had a salad and one small piece of pizza for dinner, and despite maybe a bit too much wine I did not eat a cookie. Not when my husband offered one, not when friend’s adorable little daughter literally handed me one. And just sat in front of all the chips and waited for dinner. After last weekend’s chip and dessert fest, this was huge! I noticed last weekend that alcohol lowers my inhibition on eating all the snacks food in sight, so very pleased I didn’t dive headfirst into the chip bowl this time.
And hopefully the few pounds of bloat I lost this week will be enough for me to fit into my cocktail dress tonight 😊19 -

For me -- and your results are certain to be different -- the 65 pounds that I lost helped, but the half inch off of my neck was probably what did the most of it. I had a really nice CPAP with a companion app that would tell me about how many apnic episodes I had per night. When I noticed that number got down to 3, I asked my doctor for another test. Does your CPAP track that information too? Maybe your doctor's hesitancy is influenced by that data.

Yea mine has that as well. Ever since I got it has always been 1-3 as long as no leaks. Last time I saw them they lowered the pressure slightly but I can't tell the difference.
I love the machine it, it changed/saved my life but its still a nuisance and I hope I can get rid of it eventually.2 -
I tracked for 30 days consistently on MFP today! Just getting back into this accountability has gotten me back on track and getting the scale moving in the right direction.30

I really wanted fast food today. Didn't go for it, ate my meal prep instead.
I really wanted to ask a coworker to grab me some gummy worms or Oreos when he went to the gas station. Didn't do it, had an apple instead.
I really wanted a bottled soda and told myself if I did 50 more squats I could buy it. Did the squats. Didn't buy the soda. Had water instead.34 -

I can pull my bigger size jeans off without unbuttoning or unzipping them. My next size down jeans are beginning to fit nicely at my waist.16

My hard work paid off this week when I lost 2lbs since last weighing in, making a total weight loss of 58lbs! Even when I logged it and none of MFP friends noticed, not even one like, I didn't let my disappointment or feelings of being let down make me comfort eat to compensate. I have logged it again today and let them know how I felt when they didn't even notice. Just a gentle reminder.22

I took a hike that my husband had said would be a little challenging but not too bad. Well he hadn't hiked it in at least 15 years and it was somewhat more challenging than he remembered. It was tough and tested me but I was able to complete it. I wouldn't have been able to do it ia few months ago.26

Pushing my comfort zone by joining a winter running group. First meet up was tonight, it went well and was fun and I wasn’t completely out of my league. I didn’t even join the slowest tier.
Proud of myself as I’m both shy about group activities and self conscious about being a slower runner.
Although it’s All Levels they say to be able to jog for 30 min in order to be able to participate fully. I know this time last year I could not have joined. I’ve made a lot of progress since starting C25K in April.34 -
I did 50 minutes on the elliptical today.19

Walking and running an average of 6 miles a day this month. Set up indoor bike, did my first beginner spin class this morning and followed it up with a 20 min yoga session. I’m realizing I need to vary my workouts a bit, so will try and work on that this week!17

We went to dinner Sunday night and I had to borrow a top out of my 17 year old daughters closet because none of the ones in my closet looked good anymore (too loose) :-)27

Two-part NSV, just as a heads up.
At work, I can't accesses both of my managers' offices unless I go up this staircase with a wicked incline. Normally, it makes me feel like death going one way and I have had to mask sounding like I'm dying trying to catch my breath. Ever since I started Couch to 5K during Christmas week in 2020, going up these stairs have gotten easier for me. I'm not feeling my heart beat like crazy out of my chest and it's a bit easier to breathe. My weight fluctuates so much, but yesterday, I weighed in 7.2 lbs lighter than Christmas week.
I can't mind how much easier these will get once I'm at the 15, 20, 30+ lb weight loss mark.28 -
