    Round 138

Please join us! Starting on 01/12 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 138
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

    Goals
    - check in at least every other day
    - Participate
    - Low carb

    SW: 165.4 (1/11)
    GW: 164
    Day/Weight/Comment
01/12 165.6 ~ {Steps 17,554} ~ I’m really focusing on my morning walks and nighttime yoga. It’s helping my sleeping habits.
    01/13 165.6 ~ {Steps 10,063} ~ Today didn’t go as planned but on the bright side, I didn’t get my emotions, yay!
01/14 165.4 ~ {Steps 17,460} ~ It was a gorgeous day outside so I got a marvelous walk in this afternoon plus the day few by so snacking didn’t play a factor. Tonight I’ll definitely get some yoga in.
01/15 165.4 ~ {Steps 12,356} ~ Fantastic day except at night I decided to make hubby homemade biscuits and my night time snacks started unfortunately. Hence the scale increase..
01/16 166.2 ~ {Steps 23,218} ~ Now, I’m trying to undo my slip up from yesterday. I didn’t have any major plans so since it was a gorgeous day, I was able to get a few walks outside....
01/17 166.6 ~ {Steps 12,727} ~ Even after the horrible text I received from my ex SIL, I didn’t turn to food. I’m definitely learning not to eat my emotions, yay! My my husband decided he wanted pizza but I decided to eat what my plan was, yay.
01/18 165.8 ~ {Steps 4,967} ~ I spent the much needed day with my daughter and grandkids, making healthy food choices.
01/19 165.8 ~ {Steps 12,402} ~ My husband and I went to our favorite park it was well worth the1 1/12 drive, even though we had to have lunch in the car!
01/20 166.8 ~ {Steps 13,136} ~ I don’t understand the hike in the scale, my sodium and calorie intake was good, oh well hopefully tomorrow the scale will drop.

01/21 166.2 ~ {Steps 17,280} ~ I didn’t get to my goal weight but on the bright side I did finish the challenge that’s a big win in my books! Yesterday I couldn’t get into my mojo but I was able to make healthy food choices so a big win for me. I’ll be back tonight to finish this round out for me! Today was an extremely busy day, starting out roughly but going with the flow, things worked out. I did sign up for another virtual race. Yosemite 150.5 miles, woot hoot!

Things I know I need to be successful:
    Community:

    Meal Planning:
    [  ] Breakfast burritos
    [  ] Pre-make lunches

    OSW:242.1
    Rnd 138 SW: 239.6
    GW: 150
    Day/Weight/Comment
01/12: DNW. Still quarantined while we wait for my daughters test result. My breakfasts are pre-made for the next two weeks. I got a milk steamer for Christmas and I've been making some delish healthy lattes at home. I also worked out last night for the first time in a bit and it felt great to sweat.
01/13 238.7. Nice to see the loss! This was really encouraging. I really love checking in here with you guys!
01/14 DNW. Long day of working at home with kids who have been hit with cabin fever. Pizza and wine for dinner and an early bedtime. Tomorrow is a new day ☀️
01/15 DNW. Happy Friday!!!! My Daughter's covid test came back negative so we're busting out of the house first thing tomorrow! Went a bit over calories but my average for the week was 1,554 and I'm super proud of that ❤
01/16 239.6. Scales are up a bit but trying not to stress it. I'm focusing on my calories and exercise. I just keep reminding myself that my body is not immune to physics - if I eat less and move more I will lose weight.
01/17 🤦‍♀️ forgot to check in but tracked
01/18 🤦‍♀️ forgot to check in but tracked
01/19 238.3 a loss today. I've been trying to notice and say out loud how i feel when I am eating healthy foods. I have more energy, notice when I'm full and feel less moody.
01/20 ate too much today - back at it tomorrow ☀️ the good news is that what feels like too much now used to be my normal.
01/21 last minute check in! Terrible day at work and worse when i got home (loving a parent with significant mental health issues is exhausting some days). I over ate but I tracked. And I'm in it for the next 10 days. And the 10 days after that. Onto the next round ☀️

@Quiltingjaine I want to know if you actually did those moves, including all the facial stuff! :)

So I had to look this up to see what you meant @SModa61 and I was NOT ready for that. I had tears in my eyes :D That escalated very quickly (and BF gave me some very crazy looks - he could only hear what I was watching)

Though I have done that tongue out move (Lion's breath or something like that) watching one of YWA's videos. I felt so silly

@camandjarvis I had no idea the tongue/face moves had any yoga or exercise basis. Was the first I ever saw anything like that and having that those moves be my first introduction was making me wonder about the woman.

Years ago one on my colleagues divulged to us that every morning she did facial exercises introduced by her mother who insisted that it would prevent wrinkles in her more mature years. We all had a good old laugh along with her, but she religiously continued them everyday as part of her early morning regime. Unfortunately I lost contact with her when I moved jobs 13 years ago, it would be nice to meet up again to see how she looks now as she too would be in her 60's. Maybe I should have done them too; my wrinkles are largely due to loose skin on my face after having such a "round" one for 50+ years!! But who knows it might have helped?

@SModa61 The tapes I had only had the facial exercises but THOSE even made a difference in my measurements! I think it’s the deep breathing and contraction of the muscles.

I am back. 2020 was just a mess for me. In January I was at 135 and then the pandemic hit. I have to come to the conclusion 135 is just to low for me. It takes a ton of consistency and discipline for me to stay at that weight and even 1 day of indulging I can put 5 pounds on. It is heart breaking and destroys my confidence. I am shooting for 145-149 this time and I think that is way more sustainable for my lifestyle. I actually started last Monday at 174.7 (ouch I can't believe I just typed that), but weighed in today at 173.0. So It's better and I am trying to just take it a day at a time.

01/12- 173.0 Today I am working from home to help home school the kids. These are the hard days for me, because I am right next to the fridge all day long. We have not had our kids in school since last March, so working from home a couple of days a week and then the office the other days is the solution for right now.

01/13 - 171.8 Nice, finally a nice little drop. I have been back on the wagon for about 3 weeks now and this is the first nice big drop I have seen. At work today and have my meals planned and will stick to it.

01/14 - 169.8 I am not hating this weight, lol. I am sure it will bounce back up tomorrow as I did not eat dinner last night and only ate a small lunch. I will eat normal today with food that I have all planned out.

01/15 - 171.2 I knew it would bounce up today, so I am completely ok with that. Weigh in day is tomorrow and would love to be at 170.00 something. My happy scale app shows a loss of 1.1 this week, so extremely happy with that. All in all I think it's been a good week. Now I just have to get through the weekend. I am just hoping to be in the 160's by the end of the month.

01/16 - 171.8 did well until dinner time. My husband decided to get carry out, so I am sure this is sodium.

01/17 - 172.8 This is sodium again due to carbs. I was under calories, but we ate subway and then a chicken sandwich for dinner. Carbs always hold on to me for a minute.

01/18 - 173.9 This will drop off hopefully in the next day or two. I am hoping to be back under 170 by the end of the 10 days. I am not giving up even on the weekends anymore.

01/19 - 172.8 Well I know why the jump up now. TOM showed up yesterday a week early. Probably also explains my moodiness the last couple of days to, lol. Food was good, hopefully it will come down tomorrow or the next day.

    01/20 - 172.8 uuuuggghhh

01/21 - 171.2 going back down, so that's good. Not where I wanted to end this round, but better than I started I guess. Avg 10 days 172.11
