Hello, all! I am a returning member! I first joined a decade ago next month. This is probably my sixth or seventh return. (Soooo much has happened over the years that I kept falling off the bad wagon.)
Also this is a test post. I tried to reply to someone else's post in another thread and was told by the website that I didn't have permission to do so. Doesn't quite make sense as to why, when I've never really been a part of the forums but I'm looking for more support and friends this go-round. It's not like I did anything to get myself banned!0 -

Hey y'all...I've been doing MFP off and on for several years. Confession...I've tried EVERYTHING. (WW, Noom, Nutrisystem, you name it) I'm a Physical Education teacher from Texas who suffers from a food addiction. I need all of the support I can get. This time I am going to stick with it.2

Here for support; both giving and getting. Recently got back on the wagon and hoping to find new friends to help push and motivate each other. I have been successful using MFP before, losing about 90lbs. Hoping for that and more, in time. Hope to hear from some of y'all.4

Hiya. Had this app for a while but didn’t use it. My aim is to loose 100Ibs buy next year and gain more muscle from there. And loose as much as I can before June this year. And do it all healthily instead of short cuts that don’t last. Good luck to everyone1

Hi Everyone! I started my fitness journey Oct 2020 by taking workout classes and strength training. I'm trying to figure this thing out. I want to lose weight but I have gained 6 pounds instead of losing any weight. Hopefully this app can help me out with my eating habits so I can eat at a deficit. Then, I can start losing instead of gaining. Although it probably might be muscle I'm gaining but I want the fat to come off too.3

Morning all! I am new to using the app completely. I have tried it off an on for a couple of years but never longer than a day or two. This time I am committing myself to logging everything and seeing where I need to be more attentive.
I am an avid runner and cyclist. This year I have my first Spartan race planned, so I know my nutrition needs to be on point before I can see any real results in the gym. This is where I need you. I need people on here spurring me on and cheering me to the finish line.5 -

Hey guys, i am relatively new on myfitnesspal. I am a 21 year old girl, all my life i have been the bigger girl in the group, the one with no boyfriend, the one guys would approach to help them out to get close to my friends that are prettier and of course skinny. It was never really an issue for me growing up, of course i always got bullied wether it being through school people would always call me 'fat','ugly','over weight' and the list of nasty names go on and on. I dealt with it as if it wasn't an issue as i have always had a supportive friend group and family that would always say yeah you maybe on the bigger side but you've got a good heart which is what kinda got me through the bullying, but on top of all that i have always considered myself to be someone that is very confident despite my weight. It was only last year since i started getting older, i realised i never had a boyfriend before and trends on the internet kept on advertising skinny girls in bikinis or fit girls working out at the gym and thats what guys would consider 'hot' or 'attractive'. Don't get me wrong, in this day and age people are more accepting to the fact that big girls are actually pretty too and there is this whole body positivity movement going around which si great. But, it was only when my friend had signed up for an online dating app and she encouraged me to do the same and i realised that i got no likes where she on the other hand was planning multiple dates. So as per usual, i would hang out with her and her date and would be known as the DUFF (designated ugly fat friend) and i came to a realisation that change needed to be made. I started my weightloss journey in the beginning of 2020, lucky for me i had a cousin that was already living a vegan lifestyle for 5 years and she is also one of the main reasons as to why i decided to make the switch, i am now a full vegan and its been a year and in total i have lost 35kg. I am still far from my goal but, i am persistent on making it happen. My dream goal is to be 70kg by my birthday which is in June. I am currently at 100kg and hopefully with 2021 i can reach my goal that is long overdue.5

I'm not really new, I have had a couple of stretches that I used MFP with good success, but not being accountable to anyone, and really not having any support ... I keep relapsing. The latest lab results after a visit with the doctor convinced me to get really serious. Now logging exercise as well as concentrating on the food side.
Health and fitness are my new lifestyle/hobbies.

Hi, I've been using MyFitnessPal off and on since 2013, lost about 60#, but have been relatively lazy and still have 20# to go. I've been playing with the last 20 lbs for at least 3 years now, and now it's time for me to get serious. My daughter is getting married in June, and there will be photos! I'm choosing to follow a LowCarb diet as it is the easiest for me personally to stick to.
I look forward to reading posts for ideas and support, and to sharing with others!1 -
Hi Everybody! I'm not exactly new, but I've recently returned to the app and recommitted to my health. So far this year, I've lost 3.5 lbs which although doesn't seem like much, I'm pretty pleased. I'm about 5'3" and now 151 lbs -- 25 lbs to go! Keep up the good work everybody and let's stay at it!0

Have used MFP on and off for years, but this is the first time I’m really ready to fully commit 100% to it. Need to lose a solid 35-40 pounds.
