Tracey - So sorry to hear about Dillon. My thoughts go out to the family and to everyone who has lost someone during this pandemic. Such a lot of grief. Happy story about the old couple.
Debbie - You have had more than your fair share of grief over the last year. Your dog looked like a wonderful companion in your photo. So sorry.
I'm going to do just the rowing part of my exercise routine this morning before we set out for the park to accidentally meet the grandchildren (bearing Bea's coat ) It'll be about an hour brisk walking there and back, so I can add on maybe 230 calories for that. A bit of machine this afternoon, ( if I can face it, ) will just finish it off. I've got to find time to wrap DH 's remaining presents.
UberEats have a 25% off offer, so fish and chips is looking very possible on Valentines Day. Might make a chilli for tonight.
Love Heather, as always pondering food and how to burn it off, in cold Brighton and Hove, UK xxxxxxxx1 -
This alphabet challenge has caused me to look for different places to walk and cycling. It's been interesting! A few have been challenging! But it has been fun.
Now to figure out an N for tomorrow ...

I'm only just starting to do a little tiny bit of what sparks a light in me. After so many years of just doing what I needed to do, doing interesting and fun stuff is a bit foreign.

GratefulSunny day
Free delivery of food
Got tiny walk in
Home in relatively good shape
GF frozen pizza
good video online yesterday
kitchen shelves are pretty tidy
Good things done todayFood shopping
short walk
heap of ironing that's been to do for a while
slight straightening of another kitchen shelf
I awoke in good spirits and the weather was good.
I rushed, around and rushed back to meet someone who was 30 min late. I was gonna suggest cancelling but they said 3 minutes past the meeting time they were just nearby. i think that was a fib.
I'm gonna avoid morning appointments as much as possible, for next months/year.

Good morning all! Happy Saturday! I don't think I checked in yesterday; I got my group license! Yea! I am in no rush to fill up spots and have 12 children in my house. I may take one or two (which would give me a daily total of 8 or 9 kiddos, depending on the day). I want to have the space/energy to allow the two kindergartners to be here if school shuts down again this year. I also have one family that is pregnant with their second child; baby due in Sept (due in care in December). If I have things organized the way I would like in my back yard this spring, I will take on more kids in the summer. My plan, is to move to a "Forest school" set up. Have the kids get used to spending 80-90% of our day outside while the weather is warm and agreeable; that way when it cools down in the fall; they will be used to being outside and their little bodies will acclimate to better to the gradual temp change. My plan is to use half of the garage as a "warming shelter/nap shelter". Hopefully, my youngest will be out of the nest by October. (I love him dearly, but it is past time)
Debbie- Sorry about your lovely pup! Hugs to you!
Tracey - Prayers for peace and comfort to you/family regarding the loss of Dillon! Bittersweet story of the older couple!
Pip- The place is looking great! The idea of you lugging the red rock made me laugh. I did that at one place we rented. Because the owner did nothing as far as landscape/ up-keep in the yard, I had planted a couple of rose bushes and put down some field stone rock bed. When our lease was up and we moved; damn straight I took those with me. lol Tim thought I was nuts.
Rebecca- My son is a Lego nut, as well. (not quite as intricate as your son) He likes to build vehicles and contraptions more than buildings. Your son is quite talented. It used to bother me that my son was STILL playing with Legos, but it is really just another sort of puzzle. Very good for the brain! Have you seen the adult lego sets that they have out? I would do some of those!https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Bouquet-Building-Creative-Project/dp/B08HW1L75J?ref_=ast_sto_dpThe prices are insane, but that piano is pretty tempting...

Cathy in Arlington- Wow! That is a HUGE pile up! My daughter told me about it and got all choked up. Too close (time-wise) to her own car accident. Glad you are staying safe and off the roads during the icy weather!
Kate- Was it you who made the gloves? Those are awesome!
Machka- Bee keeping is so fascinating! I imagine for something like that, you are either all in or not. There really isn't a "I will just get a few bees" sort of area for beekeeping. lol BUT, wow, the benefits of bees... I also love your recent meme posted. I think it is time I "spark a light" in my own life.
New girls and returning sisters- Welcome and welcome back! comment when you feel the urge. Bookmark the page! Tell us a little about your self and where you are from! At the end of the month, look for Barbie's final post which will have the link to take us to the next month!
SO...now that the stress of getting my group license is off the table, I can relax just a bit and focus on paperwork and planning for the upcoming couple of months. Whew! Today, I am going to do as little as possible. Shopping needs to be done, probably a little food prep and some paperwork. Then the rest of the day is mine. No snow last night, so there is nothing to shovel. I think I will bundle up and head to the waterfront to see the sights. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

Not much sunshine this morning. It’s been snowing for over 2 hours and at lest 2 more forecast. I’ll be exercising indoors unless it stops soon.
Kelly: 👍🏻 😍 License!!! And Forest School idea! Don’t worry about son’s Lego interest. Most of my family (including me) still like building with Lego. It’s very good for keeping the brain sharp and hand dexterity.
Michele: We went out briefly and were amazed at the crazy speeds some drivers were doing. We so seldom get much snow, so not much practice or common sense in a lot of cases.
Tracey: So sorry to hear about Dillon. At least his parents got to speak to him. So many haven’t had that.
All tasks in our house are WE jobs. I made it very clear to my husband very early in our marriage that ALL tasks were unisex. I had the advantage that his English dad was very hands on with dishes and childcare etc (not the norm with your average Ulsterman, whose Mammy literally spoils her wee sons).
I love the story about your couple finally able to be together again. So lovely that they are together for Valentines Day.
Lisa: Love those titles. I would rad them. Heck, I might even write some of them myself 😂
Hubby is calling me for lunch.

So sorry about the sad news about Dillon. But, happy that the couple in the residence got to be together again.

You have been through so much over the few months. Hugs! I will miss our furry Pom and our mixed hound forever but am so thankful for the memories I have to cherish.

Tracey, I'm so sorry about Dillon--and long distance is not a good way to lose someone you love.
Debbie, So many losses in so little time, my sympathy goes out to you.
Kelly, I'll read yours if you read mine!
Writing this morning - translating computer-speak to people-speak, interesting, but quite dry. Done for now... 18 degrees outside, so any activity will be indoors!

Yup, there is just dirt where the patio is at the apartment, so we Perdy’d it up. Management hasn’t always been the best, we are paying 3k to leave so f*&@k them
Welcome to all new peeps
Hugs and prayers to all that need them and congrats to all accomplishments that have been achieved

Debbie: I am so sorry for the loss of your fur baby. Pets add so much fun and happiness to our lives. It is hard to see them go.
Tracey in Edmonton: I am so sorry for the loss of Dillon. I am glad that his parents had the opportunity to be with him via FaceTime.
TerriRichards: We also have snow on the ground. It is still dark here, at 6:12 am, Pacific Standard Time. It has been a few years since the last time we had snow on the ground for more than a day.
We are well stocked up with food and enjoying the snow from the inside of the house looking out. There are so many things I would like to do, but staying home is at the top of today’s agenda for now. It is still dark outside.

Our trip to the park was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and cheered us both up no end. The kids were sooooo happy to see us. Bea adored her new coat. Plus I jogged all the way home, which added to my burn total!
I added half an hours rowing later, so I'm up to 1,000 today.
Here is Bea trying on her new coat and above it is the kids at the playground and you can see the rainbow on the back of it.
The chilli cooked itself in the IP while we were out.

My favorite cute family in the snow in Vancouver, Washington. I FaceTimed with son, and Athena but she was shy.💕💖😔😋😁 She'll get used to me soon enough! I can see her older, introducing me to her dollies.💕.
Still coming down in Whidbey!
Hugs ladies!

Hi Gals,
Cathy – glad you stayed home that is an awful accident.
Debbie -so sorry to hear about you fur baby –
Tracey – sad to hear about Dillon
KJ – so glad to hear you got your license, you have been working on it for so long! And couple of more kiddos with help with the finances. How old is your youngest (not day care but your child that its time for them to flee the nest)
Kate- great gloves! Way more styling than Bernie Sanders gloves which seem to be getting more than their due in the USA media! LOL
Rainy morning here, which is needed, Levi and I even did a short walk – as the wind was blowing the rain in our faces.. The look Levi gave me spoke volumes and when he realized we were turning to home he could not get me there fast enough.

Snow is coming down here, too. We are snug in our home watching nearby neighbors pushing snow off of their marina roof. There is one man on top of the roof pushing the snow down & off into the river. There is another watching from the floating dock who appears to be giving advice. I am happy to be watching from inside our warm home. 🌨2

Kate, Those gloves are amazing. As a knitter, I know how challenging they were to make
Kelly Congrats on getting your license.
My morning walking friend spent the night with her neighbor whose son is home to "die with dignity". They were with him all night along with the hospice nurse. He had been given too many pain meds before he came home so they have to wait until he is conscious/awake to take the special meds. What a sad time. My friend is a hospice volunteer so she has some training for occasions like this, also she and a hospice volunteer were with her husband a few years ago when he died.
The dogs and I walked together in lightly falling snow this morning. It is perfect weather. Enough snow to be fun but not so much that we can't go to the library later this morning.

It is snowing harder now than when we woke up this morning. I’m grateful for being warm and safe at home. Our last snowfall was 4 years ago. 🌨❤️🌨0

Sleet here in Delaware. Too much ice.
Tracey, so sorry about Dillon.
Kelly, congrats on the license!
I need to go to the pharmacy but not in this weather! Looks like another quiet day indoors. I will exercise with my dad tonight.
