70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

I have decided to start food shopping months in advance, so will most likely have to incorporate a higher carb content (as I eat a mostly vegan diet and have limited freezer real estate), it might be a bit rocky to start with weightwise but I have faith that I can adjust eventually!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 141 (round 73 for me ) I''ve proved I need this to help me keep on track! Thank you GrandmaJackie a brilliant champion in these unprecedented & unsettled times, for continuing to set up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back closer to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life ! Long term goal is to get and then stay under 130; then full maintanace starts and dare I say it is in my sights?
Challenge for this round – get back into and stay in 120's? Stick with good habits; be mindful of what I eat & drink, try to keep it in moderation, keep walking, no binges; remember keeping the 10 days binge free makes such a difference! Run 4 x during the 10 days.
Keep calm – we're all in this together! Wash hands, be kind, continue to follow all latest Government guidelines for C-19 virus. Be positive for the vaccine – its here and inoculation has started! Take it when offered.End of round 69 134.2 lbs

Not proud of this weight, relaxed and let things slip; 2.2 pound increase from end of last round and that was after seeing the figure that I wanted to be on the very first day of the round! Oh well, no point in dwelling too much on it, I'm moving on, today will effect the start of the new round, that's what I'm concentrating on right now.
SW: 132.4

Day/Weight/Comment
02/11 131.6 – a good start to the round, ate really healthily yesterday, aim to keep the momentum going for this 10 days. 9.2 miles walked yesterday; again in the light snow. Another cold day here -4C at the moment brrrh!! was hoping for a run this morning, but will have to see what the pavements are like later.
02/12 130.8 – 9.48 miles yesterday including 27 mins run. Another good food day & it shows on the scales. Keeping end of last round post in this rounds post to remind myself how I felt on that last day weigh in!
02/13 130.8 - 10.99 miles walked locally from home (as always during lockdown) yesterday. Cooked Chinese New Year meal; prawns on sesame ryvita to start, duck leg in hoisin sauce with black bean veggie stir fry for main washed down with a glass of Rosé & all within calories.
02/14 130.8 – 11.46 miles walked yesterday all in below zero C temps! ; 5 miles or so in I turned my ankle on a frozen rut whilst crossing a field, no pain no discomfort I carried on for another 6 or 7 miles incident free. However, later in the afternoon whilst watching the rugby the ankle began to ache, gradually getting worse as the day went on and by evening I could not bear any weight on it at all & the intense pain! DH had to prepare and serve tea! I didn't want to take painkillers as I am giving blood in a few days, just elevated it and very gently wiggled it a little. It was a little better before bed, but got up this morning and it is almost back to normal!! Can't believe it really ….. I'm going to avoid running for a good few days but will try out a gentle walk later this morning.
02/15 130 - 9.41 miles walked yesterday, the ankle held up so we just kept walking till the rain came!! Despite a home cooked delicious 3 course Valentine Sunday roast kept within calories.
02/16 130.6 – 9.97 miles walked yesterday.
02/17 130.6 – 11.45 miles walked yesterdy, good food day well within calories.
02/18 131.6 – indulged in too many treats after giving blood! 2 days to make a dent in it! 11.5 miles walked yesterday.
02/19 131 – 10.03 miles yesterday, including jogging for 21 minutes, but really struggled! Good food day well within calories. Last day tomorrow where has that gone?
02/20
L0VE FOR MYSELF – be more positive; half glass full not half glass empty & 4 x runs of 20 mins + per round; I love the feeling of exhilaration afterwards!!
02/11 back to healthy eating yesterday.
02/12 - 27 mins running yesterday
02/17 – yesterday was pancake day (Shrove Tuesday) enjoyed a pancake planned into eating programme.
LOVE FOR OTHERS – Had my assessment to volunteer to help in the Covid vaccination process.
02/13 – the birds yesterday morning started inspecting our nesting boxes, I really love nature – spring really is round the corner. Bring it on!!
02/14 – Happy Valentine Day to all MFP; sending all my friends here love to boost you in anyway it can.
02/15 – A wonderful video call yesterday with DD, DS and little DGCs; love my family, miss them so much.
02/16 – all top 4 in list of cohert groups now been offered first vaccine so yesterday they moved on to 5 & 6, we're in group 7 so loving it that it''s getting closer for se lf & DH.
02/17 – had a lovely video call with all my sisters yesterday.
02/18 – donated blood yesterday evening.
02/19 RAK – dropped some daffodils otside the front door of a neighbour who is a nurse, she later tweeted to thank the flower fairy as it lifted her spirit!
Love this group; so much diversity in age, background and geographical locations, but all working towards same goal of a healthy lifestyle and giving & receiving support from each other. @GrandmaJackie you so enrich so many of our lives by keeping it going
KEEP SAFE EVERYONE . Keep calm – we're all in this together!

Round 139 SW 210, End Weight 209.8
Round 140 SW 209, End Weight 204.8
Highest Weight: 292 (March 2015)
Current Weight: 204.8 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight: 165 lbs
Round Goal Weight: 203 lbs
Goals
- Cals in < 1750; Cals out > 2750
- Five Long Walks (75 mins +)
- Five basic low intensity strength training sessions (20 mins +)
Day/Weight/Comment
02/11 - 204.4. A good start. Kept my calories under goal on Wednesday, though didn't manage to get in a walk as work was really busy.
02/12 - 203.2. Keeping this in perspective - probably just stabilisation of water weight. Plus I'm planning an indulgent weekend. Not been able to go to the cinema for a year, so bringing the cinema home, complete with big screen, popcorn (with butter, I'm afraid) and sweets. So by Monday, this loss may have evaporated a bit. But For now I'm enjoying seeing the drop.
02/13 - DNW
02/14 - DNW
02/15 - 205.2 I expected this. I had a bad weekend. Entirely planned, as noted above. I was still within my target calorie deficit for the last week, so am hoping this is mainly water weight rather than actual gain, and that it will come off once I'm back to eating less sugar and salt.
02/16 - 206.8. Yuck. The exertions of the weekend really catching up with me. Had a good day on Monday - was under calories (although not that active). But my scale is showing water % at 55, which is the highest it's been, so assume a lot of water weight still from the weekend.
02/17 - 206.8. Another quite inactive day. Was under calories - though not by as much as usual since it was Pancake Day! Water %age still pretty high (55%) so hoping that once that starts coming down, I'll drop back at least to where I was before last weekend. 203 lbs as a goal for this round looks unlikely to be achieved though
02/18 - 204.8. A good day. Under calories and went for a run - restarted Couch to 5K at week 2 (having completed Couch to 5K before Christmas). Think maybe starting to shift some water weight after an indulgent weekend.
02/19 - 203.2 well it's only taken a week to get back where I was a week ago. Would be happy with this as a final end weight given the ups and downs I had over the last week. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Day/Weight/Comment
02/11 176.0 excellent food day; tracked everything and stayed under calorie goal; 5.29 mile bike, 1.36 mi walk
02/12 174.2 Yay!!! Lost back what I gained in Florida and then some. I’ve done much better on food the last few days, staying with lots of vegetables and protein, and tracking everything.
02/13 173.0 Finally, real progress again this round. Just hope I can keep it up. Celebrated Valentine’s Day last night with hubby and did just fine. Will celebrate with the kids on Sunday. Got in a walk at lunch yesterday as a break from work. Love it when I can make that happen.
02/14 173.0 Another really good food day, and got in an 8.7-mile ride too. No walk in the cold rain, but the bike felt great last night. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
02/15 173.6 I did pretty well on Valentine’s Day, food wise, and got in an 8-mile ride on the bike, but I did splurge a little on two chocolate covered strawberries and a half a serving of ice cream after dinner. But I did not use yesterday as an excuse to eat all the things! Will get back on track today so I can keep the 173.xx and make this a great round. Already have lunch packed.
02/16 172.0 This probably won’t hold. Didn’t eat much yesterday due to some stressors, but I’m happy about the weight loss for the day. Did 8.49 miles on the bike.
02/17 171.4 Finally some real progress this round, but don’t expect it to stay quite this low till the end. I’m sure there will be a bounce back up soon. Want to hold on to as much of the loss as possible, though.
02/18 171.2 Had a good food day yesterday, so I’m pleased to see there hasn’t been a bump up yet. Tweaked my back a little yesterday, so no real exercise. Hoping to try the bike a little today and see how it goes.
02/19 172.0 So, here’s the little bounce I was expecting, but it was time. My body never goes on a straight downward path for long. I ate some carbs yesterday that are not typical for me, so its back to protein, veggies, and berries today. Back was better yesterday, so I did 7.73 miles. Sure wish the weather would straighten itself out though, so I can get in a good walk.

Love for others—Random Acts of Kindness and other things I love:
2/11 Love a beautiful day in the middle of winter! It was 64 here yesterday, definitely felt like spring (although I know it is fleeting) so I got in a good walk at lunch. Amazes me just how much that helps me be more productive in the afternoon.
2/12 Love that I am in Chapter 77 of @SheilaBoneham’s book and there are so many viable suspects that I don’t yet have this “who done it” figured out. ;-)
2/13 Handed out a random compliment to a stranger last night, and again, faces just light up when you do that!
2/14 Loving on my family yesterday—putting together a Little Tykes Princess car for the one-year-old light of my life, and preparing to celebrate with daughter and hubby today.
2/15 Left a very nice tip with a Happy Valentine’s note to the server at dinner last night.
2/17 I love my first cup of coffee in the mornings. I usually spend it with this group as I read the posts from the day before and create my own. Happy Wednesday, everyone!
2/18 Thankful for the fact that even though so many others in our nation are without power in the snow/ice, we have heat. Also love that schools are on virtual learning today, so I can do my job in my yoga pants and favorite sweatshirt.
2/19 Love my Dad, who is going to be 90 next week. He is fully vaccinated now, so I get to go see him this weekend. So excited about that!8 -

Day/Weight/Comment
02/11 - 146
02/12 - 146.5 - OK, it's time to get serious about getting back down to maintenance weight. I pulled out the food scale this morning and I'm logging everything. After 3 years of daily weighing and losing/maintaining my weight, you would think I would have it down by now, but the reality is that without using the food diary and the food scale, I give myself too much leeway in the amount and what I eat. That works fine when I weigh 142 or 143, but not when I'm trying to lose several pounds.
02/13 - 145.5 - I came home from work last night and my newly retired husband had made spinach lasagna and homemade garlic bread. I measured out enough to stay below maintenance calories, but I won't be surprised if the sodium and carbs hit tomorrow. Plenty of water today!
02/14 - 144.5 - I don't trust this number, but I'll take it!
02/15 - 146.5 - More carbs and sodium yesterday, so this is not a surprise. I'll probably leave the office a little early today to beat the winter storm heading our way. I hope everyone else stays safe over the next day.
02/16 - 146 - The scale flashed between 145 and 146, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.
02/17 - 145 - OK!
02/18 - 144.5 - There is a young man (and he is overweight) in my office who is a nice guy, but he is obnoxious when it comes to food. He knows that I, along with a couple others in my office try to watch what we eat. At least once a week he brings in cake, cookies, donuts, brownies, etc. That is fine except he walks over to me and waves the food in front of me and "jokingly" asks me if I want a piece. When I usually say no, he'll bug me about it throughout the day and he leaves it at the end of his desk where I pass by it 10 times a day. Yesterday, after 4 years of this, I reached my breaking point with brownies. After his 3rd try to get me to take one, I took a half piece of brownie. I ate one bite, and told him it wasn't worth the calories and wrapped the rest up and threw it in the trash. It felt kind of like a b**** move, but we will see if he keeps bugging me with sweets. I guess I'm getting old and grumpy.
02/19 - 145 - As long as I keep trending downward, I'm OK with this weight.

Highest lifetime weight: 138 lbs. August 2011
Goal Weight: 110
Previous rounds: 125.2 -> 122.8 -> 121.6 -> 121.2 -> 119.8-> 119.4 -> 117.8 ->116.6 -> 117.2 ->117.2->114.8 ->116.8 -> 116.4 -> 114.0 -> 115 -> 115.4 ->115 ->113 -> 113-> 113.8 ->114.6 -> 113.6 -> 115.8-> 116 -> 115.6 -> 117.6 -> 115.8 ->118.2-> 117.4 ->116.6 -> 116.8
Goal weight for this round: Maintain in the 115-117ish range.
Another goal: Actually check-in each day and weigh daily.
Previous days 02/11 116.0 Had a .8 whoosh overnight, so I’ll take it. I’m planning to eat at maintenance today but it’ll be spent on good for me foods like a couple more ounces of nice and lean pork tenderloin and roasted veggies. I went into the office today and spent the day with my manager and our clinical nurse manager. It was nice to connect in person and we were able to get part of a project done too!
02/12 115.4 I’ll continue to take these whooshes. It has inspired me to not get takeout tonight and just find myself something more manageable at Trader Joe’s for a “Friday night easy dinner”. Dinner last night was so filling for me that I didn’t even have room for everything I had portioned out. I ended up choosing butternut squash and potatoes to roast with the pork tenderloin plus a bit of quinoa too. My husband was craving Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner so he got that, but I stuck with the pork tenderloin and he is having some of the pork for his lunch today. I was tempted with takeout but after realizing that I didn’t want a 1,400 calorie dinner it was easy to pass on.
02/13 Did not weigh but ate pretty well all day and treated myself to mochi cake. I figure 200 caloires over is much better than 800 or more with getting takeout. So I’d call Saturday a win for myself 😊.
02/14 Haven’t weighed yet but TOM arrived, so I’m going to be kind to myself and eat at maintenance today. I have my spin on a split pea soup in the croc pot right now. I’m making the soup with a mixed bone broth that has been in the croc pot since Friday afternoon. I used a combo of mostly chicken bones with a few beef and pork bones mixed in. I typically have a zip loc bag in my freezer that I’ll throw bones in after dinner and sometimes other veggies scraps. When the bag gets full, I toss it all in the croc pot and let it simmer until I feel it’s “right”. I also added about 30 g of bacon to it to give a little smokey flavor because I couldn’t find the type of meat I wanted at Trader Joe’s for it. Regardless, it should be tasty because of the rich bone broth used and sauteed onion, carrots, leeks, celery and garlic I tossed in as well.

02/17 116.2
02/18 It has been a crazy week. Work has been a bit stressful. I thankfully got my second dose of the vaccine, but had some effects so I laid low for a day. Then, yesterday I had a busy work day and running around afterwards. My food has been pretty good luckily, just maybe high on sodium and carbs(possible reason for the uptick). Tuesday, all I ate were crackers, fruit, and then Thai Tom Kha soup with a little bit of rice noodles and sticky rice with mango. Tuesday I had a post vaccine fever and when I have a fever all I want is light food and my husband offered to pick up Thai on his way home for dinner and I took him up on it. Last night I grabbed us sandwiches for dinner but was still able to stay within a 100 calorie deficit. Sleep was weird last night which made me hungry for breakfast a lot earlier than normal. I’m rambling now but I will catch up on people’s posts this weekend. Holy moly I just noticed the end of the round is this weekend. When did that happen?!?
02/19 115.4 This is a nice number. I think this will be the first round in a while where I have a loss 😊. My happy scale app is finally in green again and in a downward trend! This number is making me want to just eat my leftovers from dinner last night and not get takeout tonight. This progress is very motivating for me.

02/11 Grateful that everything is rolling along for our basement renovation and found out today that it shouldn’t take as long as expected. We are still putting in some cushion with our timeline, but this is all very exciting!
02/12 I’m grateful for my physical therapist that I’m heading to see in a few minutes. She has made such a difference for me! I did a quick 20 minute yoga session this morning and plan to do a 30 minute spin bike ride this afternoon.
02/13 Was able to do a 45 minute spin bike ride and nice long heart opening vinyasa yoga video yesterday afternoon. I also did more hip and pelvic floor stretches after, which felt so good!
02/14 I love my husband! We are having a lazy day because he got his 2nd dose of the vaccine and just feels a bit weird/off. Today I plan to do some yoga but I’m not sure what length of time I’m in the mood for.
02/15 Yoga and spin bike for 20 minutes.
02/16 Grateful for the second dose of the covid vaccine and my not so fun natural immune response to it. No exercise today though.
02/17
02/18 Got in some yoga this morning plan to ride the bike at some point.
02/19 So grateful for my supervisor at work. Did a bit of yoga this morning and plan to use the bike later today. I was able to get a 45 minutes ride in yesterday.

Day/Weight/Comment
02/11 - 169.4 I don't mind pops-&-drops, but I gotta get a handle on this scale creep. At least it is early in the round. 9 more days to figure it out.

02/13 -167.7 persistent attack after the SuperBowl splurge finally paid off.
02/14 - 168.3 may all your hearts be happy today!
02/15 - 168.9 feeling bloated and mean. Several possible explanations for the pop, but I choose sodium. Ate lunch at a newly opened restaurant in our little town. (It was so good!) Only ate 1/2 a reg size Rueben, a few of my daughter's fries and the hub's green beans. Wish I could have logged to see to impact but impossible to really know for sure when someone else cooks. Plan to pound water today in hopes for a just as large drop tomorrow.
02/16 - 168.1 Feels like 167.9;)
02/17 - 167.7 13-hour work day. 4 hours of that being new tool training. My poor rear.:#Scale still popping and dropping all over the place. (I feel your struggle@_JeffreyD_--I used to trend consistently down but also dread the morning weigh now) Hoping the round ends on a downward trend. Would really like to have a 6 in the scale's third position.

Day/Weight/Calories/Comment

Got my first COVID shot yesterday. I feel fortunate to live in a city & state where vaccination is going smoothly. One of today’s projects is some behavior design a la Dr. B.J. Fogg’s Tiny Habits — I’m trying small changes to make snacking more difficult and small exercise habits easier. Excellent book, btw.
❤️ Looking through nursery catalogs and day-dreaming about my garden.
2/12 - 185 - 1412
That’s catch up from very high calories last round. It’s ok, will come back off. I’m planning an easy day, unless I feel better later — very woozy this morning, which I’m sure is from my vaccine. Good excuse to sit and read (not that I need an excuse!)
❤️ Watching Mike the cat as he watches birds out the window, and listening to his comments.
2/13 - 183 - 1572
That’s better. I don’t know why I went so nuts on calories last round, but I feel back in control.
❤️ Going through my yarn stash — the colors, the feel of the various fibers, the visions of what can be, the urge to start something new.
2/14 - 183.4 - 1226
Yesterday was a good day. Wishing you all a lovely Valentine’s Day!
❤️ Silly Valentine rhymes.
2/15 - 183 - 1270
Today I begin a two-week news semi-fast in an effort to lose some of the emotional weight of the past few months. My plan is to check once a day for updates on COVID and the weather and to ignore the rest as much as possible. I can’t help but think that tuning out the craziness and tuning in instead to learning something new and doing something creative with that time will cut into my emotional food snarfing. The last time I did this I found myself craving salads 🥗, steamed veggies 🥦, nuts🥜, and fruit 🫐 instead of sugar and salt. I’ll letcha know!
❤️ Listening to uplifting songs from singers whose voices fill my heart. This morning, I am lifted by Mercedes Sosa singing Gracias a la Vida (on YouTube).
2/16 - 183 - 1511
Everyone ok out there in snowland? I’m not sure what our official count was, but my 16 inch planters on the back patio are completely covered and snow in the yard is higher than the seat on my garden bench. Wheee! Our lovely neighbor blew off our driveway and sidewalks. I shoveled the walk to the front door and that was plenty. Be safe and warm out there!
❤️ Seeing bunny tracks in the snow.
2/17 - 183 - 1486
It’s very cold and very sunny here today — I’m enjoying the bright light and looking out at the snow from my cozy house. My attention to daily meditation & mostly mindful eating seems to be sinking in as I’m not snacking like I was for the past while, and I’m consciously enjoying what I do eat. I did another of my geeky calculations yesterday, comparing my weekly average calories to weekly moving average weight since last May and found that 1500 calories seems to be the magic number for me — through that whole time, despite the difference in my activity level, when my calories averaged below 1500 I lost weight, and when they were higher I stayed steady or gained. So I’ve adjusted my goal to 1500 max. for now. Hard to argue with long term data.
❤️ Having the tools to make record keeping, calculating, and planning easy peasy.
2/18 - 184 - 1472
That’s weird. Oh, the ups & downs. Sooner or later my grasping fat cells will have to let go some of their precious cargo.
❤️ The fragrance of coffee when it first starts to drip.
2/19 - 183 - 1601
I have had a serious baking urge — more the baking than the eating — since this snowy period started, so yesterday I decided to bake a healthy-ish pumpkin crunch cake — extra egg, reduced sugar, added nuts. Not very seasonal, but I love the flavor & fragrance! Then I cut half into slices and took them to my two next-door neighbors. DH was happy to get dessert, and I enjoyed my half slice, and felt satisfied.
❤️ How rearranging even one piece of furniture can give a room a whole new feel.

Welcome to second round of maintaining. Oddly, until today as I type my Round 141 intro, I actually did not realize that my weight dropped two pounds this round despite adding the 200 calories and having mediocre exercise. I certainly have some thinking to do. Right now, for this round, I will be continuing to only add the additional 200 calories as I am facing three travel days with little to know activity which might balance things out. If I drop further at the end of this round, then I need to figure out a better system for setting my daily calorie goal.
Past Goals- Get under 150
- Get under 145 by my birthday (10/26)
- Get to pre-COVID weight from Feb 2020, 142.4
- Get under 140 before Thanksgiving 2020,
- Not gain over Thanksgiving,
- Get below 135
- Lose min 2 lb during December
- Walk/run to Sombrero B for sunrise photo
- Maintain losses of time in Florida
- Maintain weight for round 136 which included Xmas as well as New Years
- lost the 1 token pound in round 137, but is was what I hoped for, so all good, right?
- passed the -1 lb goal for round 138, and actually passed UGW of 129

Round 141 – starting weight 125.2
2/11- 124.8 Very shocked. This is certainly a learning process
2/12- 124.8 Well this implies that yesterday was less of a fluke. Interesting to see that I lost weight last round and into this round despite having minimal time for formal exercise and having added 200 calories to my daily calorie goal. But I will say that lately my NEAT would be higher than typical for me. I have been closing all three apple rings without effort these past few days.
2/13- 124.2 Late post. Left the house early. We drove 693 miles today. Settled into the hotel with the two cats. Did my exercise at 5:30 before finishing packing and getting in the car at 7:30
2/14- No scale No time for computer and reporting in on the phone does not work for me.
2/15- No scale Started catching up with MFP community late last night
2/16- 124.4 Pretty amazing for sitting in a car for 29 hours of driving. I will credit this for having completely pre-planned and tracked my meals and snacks for Saturday, Sunday and first half of Monday. I also packed a cooler with strategic items and were lucky that for our overnight in North Carolina I did not have to drag the contents into our hotel room. Got here late yesterday afternoon, then had to unload my jammed SUV, then cook dinner and then headed out for a walk, which I have not been doing due to temps and road conditions in Massachusetts. 5.5 miles last night. Felt good, except that I’m not so sure about walking in 75 degrees and high humidity. Heading out to meet up with neighbors for a morning walking in a few minutes….
2/17- 124.2 generally busy day. Will be working this place for a solid week. Hope to enjoy it sometime soon.
2/18- 124.8 Pizza last night and went over on daily calories with biscotti MIL made and packed up for us. Need to remember that for me, the carb type foods are much for of a trigger for me.
2/19- 125.2 Hmm CICO were good both days. So the new added variable last night was an ACE Pineapple hard cider and I rarely drink alcohol. Oh, I did run some yesterday and a longer than ususal walk as well. Tonight is out to eat so that will be interesting for tomorrow’s numbers. Not sweating it as I never expected to see these weights in the first place. I just do not want to begin a continual upward trend, hence accurate tracking.

Going to try to avoid pitfalls. (pitfall is an interesting word that I use without even thinking what it literally means.) How do I avoid pitfalls? By keeping my eyes open.
I have a trip planned for May that will be a good inspirational milestone.

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.
Round 141
Month/Day: Exercise / Comment
02/11: 213.6
When I see some of you friends whose weight does not fluctuate up and down but moves steadily down, I just wonder how! My “system” seems to be like a semi-truck trailer that is either loaded or unloaded. I cross my fingers every morning when I go through the weigh station, hoping I am not over the legal limit!
I know… I am weird.
If I had to weigh the same every morning it would be impossible. We are all different, but we have common ground don’t we?
02/12: 213.4
Happy Friday!
02/13: 213.2
This makes zero sense after last evening. Supper was a cheese and crackers plate, with a frozen pizza for the main course. I was pretty good prior to that.
On a side note, DW and I exchanged valentines last night. Our 45th (41st as married.) As I read her card for me aloud, something must have gotten into my eyes. 😊 Had to reach for a Kleenex. She laughed. Ha!
02/14: 214.0
214 on 2/14! Lots of comfort food yesterday. More coming today. DD in-law’s birthday happens to be Valentine’s day. Makes it easy on my DS! Ha!
02/15: 215.4
02/16: 214.8
02/17: 213.6
I do not know why I have not posted this week yet. Well, I guess I do. Lots clamoring for my attention in the mornings. I can’t believe it is already Wednesday.
02/18: 212.6
Obviously, I am in one of my off-loading periods. Maybe because I am getting at least a little bit of exercise removing snow from my drive and walk. Oh, and there is that thing about not carbo-loading. At any rate, I touched my lowest reading of 2021.
02/19: 212.4
Just waiting for the bounce. Unless I make a colossal mistake today, my 10-day average will take a nice dip this round.

02/16 192.5 ran a load of laundry through, boiled pasta, made breakfast, got to work on time.
02/17 193.3 TOM is coming. I am doing well with food and activity but he’s back and started texting me last night. “I got stuff for the kids” “Can I see you?” Blah Blah Blah!
02/18 192.9 It is something. I am swollen up like a balloon right now. I don’t feel bad though. Would love to end the round under 192 but I don’t foresee that happening. 35th anniversary of my father’s passing happens this weekend and my sister is frying chicken. I don’t really get sad anymore but it’s hard on my Mom. So we get together and have comfort food or better yet go out somewhere but not in COVID world. Roll out of the vaccine is moving slowly up in Massachusetts. If I didn’t work for a hospital I would not be vaccinated. I got it before my cousins who her are nurses. 1 in New York and 1 in Massachusetts.
02/19 193 So tired but that’s ok. We have fried chicken tonight so for lunch I am having tuna and guacamole on lettuce wraps. Hopefully I can keep within my calorie goal.

Day/Weight/Previous Day’s Comment
2/11 206.8 Walk 1 miles, 1362 cal, 100 net carbs, AF.
2/12 207.4 Walked .9 miles rain & cold, 2293 cal, 168 net carbs, 3 wine.
2/13 209.3 No exercise, up too early then tired all day, snacked, fried chicken for dinner, cooking appetizers for the party. Not sure that the journal is accurate because it is missing items. 2 glasses of wine.
2/14 210.2 Walked 3.3 miles. This is how the weight spirals out of control. Fast food lunch, evening party with tons of appetizers & dessert + 3 glasses of wine.
2/15 209.3 Walked 3.3 miles. Started with breakfast of king cake and continued eating. We have snow on the ground this morning … a rare occurrence here. Today is a new day to make better choices.
2/16
2/17
2/18
2/19 210.2 Walked .9 miles. Winter storms in Texas, infrastructure failures for both electrical and water. House hopping, unplanned meals, stress eating, 2 glasses wine each night. Haven’t journaled for days, exercise routine has vanished and I’m up on the scale. I’m back home. DS, his wife and their dogs were at our house earlier this week until we too lost power. Then moved to my sisters where the water pipe burst. Fixed it. Finally my power is back on so able to move home. DS has power now and we fixed his water pipes so they were able to go home.DD, her husband and dogs are with us now until the water is repaired in their condo building. My mom’s flight was cancelled earlier this week but is rescheduled for Sat. DD & my 2nd vaccine shot yesterday has been postponed so waiting now for new schedule on that front too.
