We started this group back in early Dec. and many of us lost a few pounds. It's enjoyable, motivating and helpful to post regularly and track your weight loss. We will help motivate you, support you, and share tips. Come and join us on this reasonable (1-1.5 lb. loss per week) weight loss challenge. We have 13 weeks to go until July 31st.

I'm so sorry. I'm afraid I mislead you. My post on the other thread had a serious "typo". I was looking at the three months April thru June, which is exactly 13 weeks. April 1st thru July 31st is actually 122 days (~17.5 weeks).
So here's a PSA for this new thread:

I love this group!!! I will be striving to fit into a size medium dress I bought for our daughter's graduation as well as a pair of jeans I bought that are a small size 9...so hoping a 20lb loss does the trick!!!! Let's do this!!!!12

I’m happy to see so many of us continuing to work toward a more healthy self! Yeah!!!
My goals through this challenge:
- lose 1/2 to 1 lb per week
- Walk/hike 4 days per week
- Work toward core strength
- Allow myself 1 drink per week
- Continue to abstain from salty white carbs
Be well everyone!!!9 -
Here we go again! So excited to continue supporting each other! I’m going to stick to my plan from last time with a focus on consistency—
Every week I will meal plan, shop, prep and weigh in.
Every day I will do at least 30 min cardio and 10-20 min strength training.
Every day I will log meals and stay under calorie budget.
Every day I will drink at least 8 glasses of Water.
At the end of the month, I will take body measurements, see where I’m at and reassess.
New for this challenge. Something I started a couple weeks ago—Everyday I will eat between 12:00 and 8:00 pm.
Hope to lose 1-2 lbs each week so about 15 lbs.
Good luck everyone!!11 -
I would love to join this group and hope to lose 30 lbs by July 31st.
My current goal is to walk at least 5000 steps a day everyday. I will increase that as the weather improves and as I lose weight. I hope this post is okay.
Good health to you all!10 -
Count me in for 20 pounds! I've just started and am full of enthusiasm! Let's DO this!10

-
I’d love to join you!
My goals:
8,000 steps a day, working up to 10,000
Log everything, stay under calorie budget
Eat clean
Weigh in Sundays
I hope to lose 1-2 pounds a week so shooting for 15 pounds lighter by the end of June!
Cheers to good health everyone!12 -
I'm in too! I want to drop 20 lbs and stick with my personal training regime so I can be back doing 5Ks without walking.12

I see a lot of great ideas and personal goals here.
This time around, I'm planning on getting in a lot more swimming and exercise. I'm aiming for a 26 pound loss by July 30th. July 10th will be special, however, as that will be the one year anniversary from my max weight. On July 10th of last year, I set a goal of reaching 230 pounds this July 10th. That's not likely to happen, but I want to see how close I can come.
Something to keep in mind: if you're doing strength training, you may gain some muscle, so you may lose more fat than your weight change would suggest, due to the muscle gain. So, weight alone doesn't tell the whole story.
Ready, Steady, Go...!

I've posted these before, but now seems a good time to repost. I have these on my refrigerator door:
"He is able who thinks he is able."

"No, try not! Do or do not. There is no try."
~Yoda~
"A goal is not always meant to be reached;
it often serves simply as something to aim at."
~Bruce Lee~
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars."
~Les Brown~
"The great danger for most of us lies
not in setting our aim too high and falling short;
but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark."
~Michelangelo~
"Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become."
~John Ruskin~

Count me in!
Nervous, but excited to join you on this amazing journey! I am going to aim to lose 15lbs but anything more would be fantastic!
My main goal is to consistently stay under my calorie budget as I have struggled with binge eating previously!
Good luck everyone

I would love to be a medium again!! Happy to be on this journey with you!8 -
Welcome friends! Everyone is welcome to join our happy little group! Just post when you can, share tips, share anything you want.
I really MUST start logging my food. This app makes it so easy- no excuses. Logging our food makes us aware of what we are putting in our bodies. I remember I had great success four years ago when I logged everything I ate and when I hit my limit, I stopped eating for the day.
