Iβm that person that will point out and remark on every dog I see in a 100 yard radius lol
Iβm living in a pretty cramped apartment right now, and feel like I want to hold off on adopting a dog until I have more space for it. But I also know itβs not impossible to raise a dog in an apartment (My Mom has a Havanese, whoβs small, quiet and low-maintenance, and it seems to work just fine)
Are any of you dog owners also apartment dwellers? Iβm kinda curious about your experiences (good or bad!) π
Just depends.. first check if the apartment allow pets..
Had a roommate long time ago and he had a dog.. the apartment bldg is pet friendly so.
Yeah, the building Iβm in is pet friendly, and thereβs a GIANT park right next to it that I see dogs in all the time π₯°
What kind of dog did your roommate have??
I guess Iβm trying to figure out how big/active of a dog I can get without it being a problem for me, the dog, OR my neighbours haha
We were in a two room apartment.. he had a german shepherd.. π
Eta
Check out the breed and their temperament. Some breeds are ok living in tight places some are not.. just another thing to think about.

And was it manageable? Or did it feel like a nuthouse? Lol I imagine bigger/more energetic dogs require more space to move around. I wouldnβt want the dog to feel agitated, to the point where theyβre scratching at everything or jumping off the walls π€·ββοΈ
I love German Shepherds, theyβre so smart and sweet π₯°0 -

Mine is a Biewer Yorkie, sheβs only 5Lbs. Sheβs a really good dog, super friendly, smart, hypoallergenic if that matters to you, doesnβt shed, can travel everywhere, sheβs loving and hardly ever barks. She eats 1/4 cup of food 2X a day. Loves to bike ride in her little basket.
I taught her to ring a bell with her foot when she needs to go to outside. Here she is with her messy hairπ but I just wanted to show you. I bought Christmas bells and hung them at the front and back door. Sometimes she just rings them all day long!π I think a dog her size would be perfect for you, easy to train and love.π

So cute! I'm getting a Biewer Yorkie this summer, when he's old enough to leave his mum and breeder. I can't wait!

Any advice for someone looking to get a dog? I want to get a puppy to be able to train. I live in an apartment so nothing too big or yapping. Any recommendations? A poodle?0
