04/22 I went to my nephrologist's office. They want me to lose 10% of my last year's stating weight of 228.6. By their scale I'm down 8.4 since March of '20 so their goal is for me to get down 22.8 lbs total which would bring me to 206. By their measure I'm down 8.4 since March of '20. Although I lost more weight than that during last week's challenge according to my scale as I'd been up a bit over the pandemic. Always interesting to see what the doc's scale reads. I'm beginning to understand what the other lab result mean. (A1c, GFR and Vitamin D) So adding to a mini goal-Get to 205 by 7/15/21. Overweight (202) to follow.

04/24 217/-.8/ I'm losing about a lb every 2 days. Getting used to planning my meals the night before committing it to paper or text, eating measured nutritious food, letting hunger pass between my 3 meals, and texting my buddy my meal plan. It is faster to lose weight when one is obese. It'll slow eventually, but for now it's nice to see more than 2 lbs lost so soon. On target, maybe even surpassing it!
04/25 216.2/-.8/ On track to meet goal of 3-4 bs on this challenge. A month ago, I penned in my goal weight for each Sunday. Today's goal was that I'd be at 219. I'm at 216.2. WFPB is good for my system. Glucose morning numbers have been under 100.

04/23 133.8 – 4.03 miles walked yesterday, over on calories due to lack of miles and spending day meeting up with DD & 2 little DGS at National Memorial Arboretum.
04/24 133.8 – 14.51 miles walked yesterday, 247 calories in credit.
04/25 DNW – yesterday and today we are travelling up at DS's house to help to build new bedroom furniture for DGD's new bedroom and then freshening up the nursery for new baby DGC due in 4 weeks, so we shall not only be getting no structured walking, but also not in control of the menus. I'll try not to not go overboard!

I am a 20 year old college student who recently let themselves go over quarantine as well as the freshman 15 and I'm hoping to lose some of that weight before my third year roles around. - Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available

- 2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
- 2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ Strength training has slowed progress, but that’s okay.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

OK, "I'm IN" for this round. My first to participate. My short term goal of 139 by mid May is likely too aggressive, so if I can't accomplish it, I won't be worked up about it. I am being careful to not overly short my calories.

04/24 147 I had a terrific day of "being full" from eating lettuce salads topped with delicious vegetarian chili. That makes a satisfying meal! MmmmMmmm.

Also, I know that if I step on my digital scale three times in a row, it will show 3 different weights! 4/22 207.3 Walked 2.73 miles, a little gardening, 2162 cal, 168 net carbs, 1 glass wine. Lots of running around today in town … mom caught her plane home, checked on DD’s condo (plants & packages), fast-food lunch then Grimaldi’s pizza for surprise dinner with DS & his wife.
4/23 206.3 Walked 1.4 + 1.5 + 3.4 miles … lots of dog walking! Gardening digging up bushes. 1520 cal, 36 net carbs, 2 glasses wine.
04/24 206.7 Walked 2.3 + 1.4 miles, 1381 cal, 86 net carbs, 3 glasses wine. Sister stopped by for dinner and more than usual bottles of wine opened. Definitely a TGIF.
04/25 208.1 Walked 1.6 miles, 1967 cal, 158 net carbs, 1 Little Sunday Cocktail + remaining 1/2 can Vinny New York Bubbly Wine, 1 glass wine. Virtual cooking class with Underbelly Hospitality making mac & cheese with pork & smoked bacon sausage. Rich foods … scale was not kind to me this morning.
04/26 207.7 Walked 1.5 + 3.2 miles, gardening replacing bushes (bruised the ball of my foot), 1378 cal, 68 net carbs, AF. Very active day. After dropping off DD’s dogs DH and I went out for dinner Ragin Cajun … yummy fried shrimp but switched the french fries out for grilled veggies. I avoided eating what DH & I usually get shrimp poboy and shrimp & crab gumbo which both of those are loaded with carbs.
