May 8: 168.9 Tough week, up to 171.5 on 2nd, slow crawl back down, lost most (1.9 lbs) this morning
May 15: 169.6 Another tough week, still at April end weight. Recomp starting to show. Same weight last 5 days
May 22: 167.1 Surprised, a loss of 2.5 lbs for the week. Did not due weights this week.
May 29: 167.3 Rough week, was down to 166 yesterday, been up and down all week.
May 31: 166.3 Rate of loss definitely slowing as I approach my goal. Hopefully one more month and reached.
Started to add back in exercise calories this week after finding myself exhausted end of day as the result of having a 1200 to 1500 calorie deficit per day. Still trying to keep around a 500 calorie deficit per day. Walking 12KM (7.4Miles) per day now.
Since Jan 1 this year body fat has dropped 7% while muscle mass is up 6.6%, so I can't complain about this months results. Still sticking to a 500 calorie deficit per day, modified carbs, fat, protein ratio to 40/30/30 at the start of this week after discovering my energy levels were dropping in line with carb consumption last month.
Very impressive how well everyone is doing with this challenge, so glad I found it and jumped in.8 -

Frustrated, disappointed, exhausted; kind of hard to pick the primary one! I suppose a very small loss is what was achieved but it really feels like I am stuck and flailing away to no avail. May 08: 208.6 Not such a good week. Weight affected by some travel and itโs sticking. Iโll have to cut some more corners as it is being stubborn! It wonโt be easy with Motherโs Day and my birthday on Monday.
May 15: 206.6 Working my way back down. I am almost to starting weight now that my celebrations are over. Looking to get into the 205โs soon.
May 22: 209.6 A horrible week filled with high sodium.
May 29: 205.6 I worked hard on portion control and better choice meals. My snacks are still not what they should be but I am a work in progress. I am thrilled with the progress this week. Pizza tonight for an early holiday meal with daughters as they are busy on Monday with in-law families. Fasting today and pushing water to offset an indulgent dinner. My final weigh in is last day of each month so I will be posting again on Monday.
May 31: 206.4 Sad to be up 0.2 lbs. Lost and gained many pounds this month. That is not progress. Itโs maintenance. Hoping for real progress in June.

May 14: 241.6 Finally broke through the barrier of going up and down within 1/2 a pound. Currently down 2 pounds for the month! WOO!
May 22: 241.4 A little sad about this. At one point, I was down another pound at 240.6, but I bounced back right away and haven't gotten that low again. It's gonna feel amazing when the second number starts with a 3. Oh well, at least it's a loss:)
May 29: 238.6 I've lost 5 pounds! And finally in the 230s! It's been years (sadly) since I've done that. Feeling good and looking forward to next month!
May 31: 240.2 A disappointing way to end the month, but not surprising. My weight eventually had to bounce up a little. I'll try to make my weight work with me next month9 -

5/6: 166 lbs...definitely feel like Iโm retaining water so hope to see a slightly bigger drop for next week...but still happy for the amount lost this week ๐
5/13:161.2 lbs! Much bigger drop, almost too much ๐ณ Maybe scale is off but for now I will take it! Going to continue with several hikes a week, strength workouts at home a few times a week, and two intermittent fast days a week for now ๐
5/20: 158.6 lbs ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ This number has made me a bit more emotional than I was expecting! I joined MyFitnessPal back in 2014....I was 158 lbs wanting to lose 10....a lot has happened over the years and instead of losing I kept gradually getting heavier until reaching over 200 lbs in 2020....to see 158 on the scale was amazing since I havenโt been in the 150โs for 6 years....so now that I am back to where I started 7 years ago l am finally going to finish what I started โค๏ธ
5/27: 157.8 lbs...a little less of a weekly drop from my normal but still a drop and as I get closer to my ultimate goal weight I suspected the loss amount would get smaller so still optimistic ๐
5/31: 157.4 lbs....exceeded my goal for the month and ready to tackle next months goal! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!8 -

I'm thrilled to report that I traveled and lost weight! I think the key to my success was packing a cooler. I had veggies, hummus, fruit, non fat greek yogurt, laughing cow, and olives. I also packed crackers and wasa.
I drank tons of water and walked a lot too.
