So proud of all of you who are facing obstacles this week but determined to overcome them! My scale hasn’t budged in 10 days now so I am in a similar boat. I am reminding myself that the journey is LONG and any mini-stalls now are practice for maintenance (when I won’t be able to eat like I did before but also won’t have the thrill of a constantly downward moving number). I have also been looking at my overall downward trajectory to help me stay committed: I’ve lost 42.5lbs since Feb and that is significant! Even though I’m not yet where I want to be, I have taken major steps to overhaul my lifestyle and become more like the person I want to be.
So, if you are facing a setback or a stall this week, know that we are in it together! Change does not happen overnight but with consistency and commitment, we CAN do it!11 -

Yes, it's technically up a pound, but that's within normal variance. I'm definitely moving a lot more and working out, so that is likely water, especially since I was 245 four days ago.
I'm going with more of a split schedule in the heat; I get up and do housework until about ten when it gets just too hot, then sit around and drink a lot of water until about five, when I make dinner and clean it up, and from about seven pm to eleven pm I can get another chunk of work done, until I get too tired, and then I go to bed.6 -
Thanks @girlinkaz! I needed to hear that. I was beating myself up a little bit for gaining this week.8

I am soooo close to hitting my next weight loss milestone of 50lbs and am starting to think about how I want to reward myself for the accomplishment. I am leaning towards scheduling a spa day but still trying to come up with other ideas.
At 25lbs lost I went to Fleet Feet and was fit with a new pair of running sneakers. A bit of a splurge since I usually buy the same brand and style online with a focus on finding the best deal.
What are the ways that you celebrate your weight loss or non-scale victories? I need some ideas!6 -
I only post once a month but I keep track daily with weigh-ins. This also has not been a good month so far. I was at 208.6 on the first and today I am at 209.4. Even with all the cleaning and yard work I have been doing to get ready for company in 2 weeks, I thought I would have lost something! Maybe it will show up in a few days. Just keep on keepin" on!!!8

I like treating myself to new workout gear - I usually get that kind of thing from discount stores like Marshall's or Target, since they'll be washed often (because I'll be getting all sweaty every time I wear them) and, ideally, they won't fit for very long At 50 lbs down (amazing btw!!), whatever leggings/shorts/pants you wear to work out are probably starting to get a little loose, eh? Maybe you need to upgrade your sports bra game (or your regular bra game, for that matter - it's probably time to remeasure, anyway, if you haven't recently)?
A spa day is also 100% valid and you do absolutely deserve to be pampered a bit if that's what you decide you want to do.7 -

Ooh, I do love the idea of a new sports bra or workout clothing. I usually buy from Marshalls, Old Navy, Ross, etc... but I recently bought a Brooks sports bra from Zulily and I don't want to wear any other sports bra now.5 -

New clothes are always an incentive for me, or I have my eye on a necklace and matching earrings from Pandora. Once I reach 28lb I will treat myself. 😁

Remember the number on the scale does not represent how beautiful or unique and loved you are. 👍🌈❤️

I got Back On Track this week, and [shock!] it worked!
Down 4.2 pounds from last week, which shows that my small loss the previous week (0.8 pounds) was due to my 1+ day off plan over the weekend and not permanent damage. Total/average loss for 2 weeks: 5/2.5 pounds, which makes sense.
Lesson Learned: Don't let one bad day put you off course!
Goal for this week: my employer is running a health challenge of taking a 10-minute break per day to do something active at least 5 of 7 days. I've signed up and will try to complete the challenge.

Weekly goals:
-Log food daily on mfp - I did fairly well with this, but forgot over the weekend (when I was at home with my husband and five kids instead of sitting in front of a computer all day, go figure)! I am being honest about logging the crap I am eating too, which should be obvious but is not necessarily. I know I am only cheating myself if I don't do it though, so I'm all in!
-64 oz of water daily - I really dislike drinking water and have not quite met this goal but my intake is definitely up. Goal for this week is to hit 64 oz a day.
-Post weigh-ins in this group - Done!

Ha mom's scale didn't matter for here, only for my regular MFP weigh in. Her scale might have been right or only up a small bit. Fell into the snacks yesterday while checking mom's house. Should have just gotten the ice cream I was thinking of or starbucks lol. Think I needed more protein items at breakfast as I just had a smoothie but not much protein. Gotta just toss a bunch of things so I don't decide to eat them just because she has them.
Got back to strength training yesterday and will do another set today. DH wants me to check their weight max on the machines anyway. He's deciding on if he'll get a pass with them now they're back to normal hours. We go at opposite hours so the guest pass won't really work for him. It'll be good if he gets the motivations to go back to the gym. At his old gym he'd max out on the weight for some machines so he wanted to see if this one offers more.6 -

Same!! Even when I had all the other pieces working and I was in at my goal weight (before gaining it all back), I never could manage the water piece. Just yuck. Cannot decide how big of a deal to make this one. I drink coffee, diet soda, or Crystal light, so nothing with mega kcals. Just not water.
Right now my focus is on recording intake religiously again, and I need to start moving. The treadmill had been calling, but my butt seems to be glued to the chair/couch/weaving bench. 😕6 -
I'm just gonna jump back in without a lot of explanations or self pity about why I gained 6lbs in the past two months. It happened and I'm ready to move on knowing that it's in my power to change.:)

@wanderinglight welcome back!
@norahkathleen why 64oz? Individual hydration needs vary from person to person and even day-to-day within the same person, and it is actually possible to over-hydrate and create more problems. So if you have trouble drinking that much, don't force it. If your pee is light yellow, like the color of straw or champagne, you're good. If it's lighter than that, you're drinking too much water. If it's darker than that, you're not drinking enough water.7 -
@goal06082021 i appreciate the advice...but i do need to drink more water so 64 oz is just a somewhat arbitrary goal that i have set for myself because it would about double my current intake. When I hit that point (or if I see that I am where I should be before that) I will reassess.4

@NEHandweaver I feel you on moving. I pretty much stand all day at work (I did get an adjustable desktop so at least I can stand instead of sitting all day now) and with five kids there is a lot of running around at night (*but not actual running). My husband works nights so he goes to bed when I get home. By the time everyone is settled I just want to sit down with my knitting! I have gone back to running in the morning with my 13 year old though. I honestly hate it, but I love the one-on-one time with him so am trying to just focus on that part.7

So my therapist wants me to quit weighing myself, a kind of hide the scale thing? Not sure how that is going to go because I am admittedly a bit obsessed with it, despite how it makes me feel. I am going to keep keeping track though, and doing my best to get heather. Hope I can do that.. sigh. I did weigh myself Monday though and have lost a whole pound lol. Scale is up now, at least until I go in to primary care next month.5
