Lamb kofte and veg oven baked in a tomato sauce.10 -
Steamed artichokes with hollandaise to start followed by linguine aglio olio. Panna cotta for dessert. I reduced the fat by using 1 part cream to 2 parts milk.

Small steak, mushroom, onion & cheese (well, a blend of non-dairy cheeses) pizza. I'm allergic to many foods, sadly, so my diet is fairly limited.
Rolled out thinner dough so it baked up nice & crunchy & hard to see, but I fried highly seasoned steak strips to super crunch level, so although it's not the most visually impressive pizza I've made, it's one of the best tasting... I enjoyed every chewy crunch.
I'm newer to this... first time I used parchment paper when baking, as well.

Primo of linguine con bottarga. Secondo of pan fried sea bream with gremolata. Contorno of over roasted frozen asparagus with leftover hollandiase from last night which split upon re-warming. Dolce of panna cotta with strawberries also leftover from last night.

Grilled prime ribeye steak (medium rare), mashed potatoes, slaw, red wine. I only ate a bit more than half of the steak so tomorrows breakfast will be steak, potatoes and a fried egg.

Grilled radicchio dressed with balsamic as a starter. Main of roast beef, boiled new potatoes, sauteed spinach, with condiments of gremolata and onion gravy for the beef and the hubby's butter forthe potato. Dessert of panna cotta with strawberries.

@Safari_Gal_ ... haha!!! Yeah, it seems like someone hates my food. Whatever. An obviously unhappy person. Your food was apparently way too healthy for someone. I thought it looked delicious.
I finally bought an air fryer this week and had to try it out tonight. Fish and chips. Slaw w/dressing of sesame oil, yuzu ponzu sauce and toasted black sesame seeds.
I ran the fish (flounder) through a beaten egg and then coated w/a mix of gluten free flour and gluten free bread crumbs. The fish turned out perfect. The fries were not so successful. In spite of following the instructions in the booklet that came with the machine they were not crispy. I think they need a higher temperature than what was suggested though they tasted fine. I will be experimenting in the coming weeks.

I do fries in the air fryer at 200C for 12-15 minutes and they come out crisp. I tried making my own at first with every tip I found online (soaking to remove starch, tossing in oil) but have the most success with frozen ready made fries. The thin ones come out crisper than the thick ones. Don't over fill the basket so that the hot air can circulate and toss half way through the cook time.
Skin on chicken (thighs, drumsticks or wings) in the air fryer were a big revelation for me. Skin comes out very thin and crisp. About 25 minutes at 200C1 -
I cook most coated chicken etc. at 400* F in my air fryer (Ninja XL air fryer oven) and they come out great.

Vegan “egg” omelette with veggie strips while visiting my sister. (She’s vegan) we used greens and tomatoes straight from the garden.

Vietnamese roll your own summer rolls with leftover roast beef from last night and a sous vide chicken breast. Main filler was bean vermicelli mixed with lightly pickled grated carrot. Other fillings were shredded salad, coriander and julienned green onion (no chives to be found at the supermarket today). Dipping sauces were a peanut satay, a hoisin/soy and classic nuoc cham sauces. Vietnamese summer rolls are a festive way of using up leftover cold meat. Vietnamese canh soup for a warm side. Rolled a couple extra for my breakfast or lunch tomorrow. Dessert of panna cotta with coffee/caramel sauce.

Spaghetti w/wild boar sauce and Caesar salad plus red wine.
When I went to cooking school I learned that I should use the trinity of celery, carrots and onion as the basis of many sauces. But for me the carrots create too much sweetness and my partner hates celery so when I make a tomato based sauce for pasta I use only onions. This sauce consists of sautéed onions in olive oil, ground meat (in this case wild boar), red wine (a super Tuscan), tomato paste, water, salt and pepper. Additionally I used about a tablespoon of fresh oregano from my plant later in the process. The final sauce this evening was delicious.

My tip for the air fryer is to buy some of that silicon mesh sold for lining BBQ grates so that small items like asparagus and shrimp don't fall through. Cut them down to size to line your air fryer basket. Nothing sticks to that silicon mesh.2 -

Middle eastern pizza from this site: https://www.thespruceeats.com/middle-eastern-pizza-2355772. I added kalamata olives to mine and my partner added onions to his. These were pretty tasty but too caloric to eat very often. Had a side salad of cucumber, tomato, parsley, cilantro, lime juice, salt and olive oil which is similar to several different types of middle eastern cucumber/tomato based salads though some use different herbs, lemon juice and/or omit the olive oil.

i did the starter of grilled radicchio drizzled with balsamic and sprinkled with chopped candied walnuts. Hubby did main of dutch andijvie stampot (=mash with curly endive) and ppoached hot dogs.

Grilled beef patty, air fried tater tots and slaw. Usually we only eat tater tots at restaurants but I wanted to test out the air fryer using something already frozen. They turned out perfect.

Hubby cooked andijvie stampot (mash with curly endive), a cumberland sausage and some tomato and olive salad. I didn't marry him for his kitchen repertoire.

I’m so happy today! It’s Canada’s birthday🥳🇨🇦🎉 To start the celebration I made breakfast, I wasn’t very hungry, I think the heat is affecting my appetite. So, my plate ended up being 384 calories.

Seared Chilean sea bass, scallops and lemon parm chopped salad. I again played with the air fry doing a panko/coconut crusted scallop. It wasn't as successful as I would have liked. Next time I'll use more coconut and less panko.

When air frying crumbed food it is often recommended to spray well with oil so that it browns properly. I find it easier to moisten crumbs such as panko or shreddded coconut with a little olive oil and to roll food in the oily crumbs.3 -
Dead easy kitchen hack for dinner tonight. Smoked mackerel fillets warmed up in the microwave. Air fryer frozen oven chips with a dipping sauce of ranch we keep on hand in the fridge. My mom's method of sauteeing frozen peas in a little butter and garlic power and a generous pinch of salt.
