I read a nice sentiment today that I can no longer find. Paraphrasing, it was something like...

'Do not trust your heart to someone who will not protect & honor it.'

Sounds reasonable... & like something everyone who values themselves takes to heart.

    Be well...

I love it. Sad when you find out after the fact.

Yes, absolutely... we've all been there, I'm afraid. Some of us (raises hand), multiple times.

But, speaking for myself only... once I hit affront #3, 4... I realized I'm creating or allowing it.

I wasn't creating... so, I was just allowing bad behavior & accepting unacceptable actions/words on behalf of another. No longer. Oddly... 1-1/2 yrs of forced solitude with Covid helped me realize that I'm better off alone than with a deficiente (IT for moron)... lol.

We'll all land on our feet. The problem with being stunning, like you, Mel, is you attract everyone to you. Discernment is what I learned. And, yes, sometimes we can be deceived. I've just learned to take a step back & look harder... in other words... I look at someone who's asked me for a date if I'd recommend him to a friend. It's happened 3 times recently... the reply... nope! So, I kindly said, 'no thank you' & moved on. Their response, all insulting upon polite rejection... made me realize I'd made the right decision.

We don't always know. We can be deceived. I certainly have been. But, I refuse to let the past testa di cavolo (cabbage head) influence my present & future any longer.

Many didn't deserve my time or attention to begin with... they deserve no more.

We'll all be good. It's a new era.

    Be well...

It’s a little like being in the ocean.
The waves just keep coming and if you don’t dive under them, they’ll take you down. 🤔

I just cleaned my kitchen floor using only my feet and some baby wipes without spilling my wine.....if anybody needs a life coach.
    :p

I don’t know if I’m more impressed by the floor cleaning or the day drinking.🙌🏽

Do you like the looks of this?

@Miz_Owl, is he yours?? He's so cute. :) If I dropped my dogs' leashes, they'd be dust in the wind. Whoosh.

I must be crabby a lot recently, cuz I keep looking for get-over-yourself quotes, like the following:

What we dwell on is for sure what we become.

Well, it made me laugh, so I guess old pups can learn new tricks.

I think I heard somewhere that the tree was called an orange tree yet the fruit was still called some form of apple and the color was something like yellow-red

These were ugly in the 1970s,
    nothing has changed.
I have no clue why anyone would want to wear that much denim.

Lol. And, mom jeans, even for men & kids, seem to be the hot garment of late. The stores are becoming filled with them in SoFL, I've noticed, as they're stocking for late summer-early fall... already.

There's a CA woman who blogs occasionally about denim, always unfavorably. What's amazingly funny (as in tragic) are the $1,500-5,200 distressed, silly designs from haute couture designers & their glowing descriptions from magazine/website fashion writers. Some of them are hard to believe. Bonus is, I never saw anyone wear any of them, even when I lived in L.A.

These confused gems are only $430 on ShopBob, purveyor of all that is ugly in quasi-mental-fashion, down from $1,350 (a bargain, cuz they're last season's... so last season):

And, in keeping with insane asymmetry, there's this gem, for the girl who doesn't know if it's this or that... $2,415, available wherever Junya Watanabe fright threads are sold:

I think my exterminator may at least holler at me when he shows up unexpected from now on…

He was supposed to be here tomorrow for monthly preventative spraying. Someone from the company shows up and just goes to work.

It don’t confront me none but ol’ boy got to experience a full on suns out buns out day in all its glory when he came through the pool house area to the pool. 😂🤣😂🤣

We didn’t shake hands or fist bump but that’s probably cool this time.

On the plus side, if you have an annoying teen begging for designer duds... with my minimal sewing skills, I could fashion these 2 gems in 30-min each, with pieces taken straight from the Goodwill bag of mix & matches.

That'll teach her... careful what you ask for, teen daughter.
