@roz0810 Knowing what works and what doesn't work for you is half the battle I think. So just keep tracking and find your balance.

@trooworld Louie awwww. So glad you're doing the tonal but sorry about the headache still. I hope you get better soon.

@gemwolf Made anything else good this week? The doggy in the front looks like he just told a good joke and the other two don't get it. lol

@renaegry Landscaping can be calorie burning. I've still got some yard to clean up when I finally return home next month. I guess I can't just stay on vacation forever. But I'll be glad to get back in my kitchen and make some good food.

Made the enchiladas and they were delicious as well. I think my favorite is still that original pork sausage cottage pie.

@trooworld Did you do something to your back with the tonal? The soup sounds good.

@trooworld Yikes on the back being tweaked. It might not be the Tonal but please make sure you are super focused on your form. When I started lifting weights, I was constantly tweaking my back. You gotta suck in the core while squeezing the butt! Easier said than done! :D And as for your weight, I’ve already given you that pep talk on F2F. You just draw a mental line and start again. You got this!! <3

@gemworlf110 Mmmm love me some enchiladas! :)

Good morning! This has been a weekend of lots of computer work. The church is getting a new online directory (my brilliant idea! :# ) and I’ve been working on flyers and graphics to try to get all these people on the same page and do what I want them to do. I’ve also had a huge to-do list of all kinds of things that I’ve been slowly crossing off. Plus, I started a Facebook Pampered Chef party yesterday and have had to help keep the fun going in that group. So, things are busy and I’m dreaming about our vacation that is only 9 days away!! I contacted the Reverand who married us at this tiny white chapel 10 years ago and asked if we can come by. He is on vacation but he is leaving us a key so we can go inside and look around and take some selfies. I’m super excited about that!

@trooworld Part of your weight gain is probably sodium bloat. It's hard to gain 5 lbs of pure fat on your body in one week. So back to basics. Plan your meals. Track your food. Eat lots of f&v and lean meats. Move your body. Tell yourself if you are tempted with something that wasn't planned that you can eat that tomorrow.

@teresaw1020 Have you been doing the basics this week? You sound busy as usual. Your vacation plans sound really neat.

I helped my son pack his apartment today and ate 1 1/2 pieces of pizza more than I needed to. At least I stopped myself from finishing the piece when I became aware I was full. But it still put me over.

Headed back to my dd's house tomorrow. So no check in.

@theslightedgeforever I’m sticking to the basics. I’m doing my workouts as usual and keeping my meals high protein and low carb as much as possible. I am taking a break from tracking since I just started my third Data Driven Fasting challenge on Saturday. Tracking for the last couple of months showed me that most days I’m where I need to be and on days where I go off plan the tracking doesn’t really help to curtail my behavior. And since I find tracking incredibly tedious, especially the dinners I cook for the three of us, I’m just stopping and seeing how this month works. DDF keeps me on target because I want to hit my blood sugar target, so I will stay high protein and not snack between meals. So maybe I will track between DDF challenges. ;)

@trooworld That is great that your migraine meds helped before you did a workout! I know you haven’t had the Tonal very long but what do you love best about it so far? :)

Hello! I’m sitting down for a few minutes and thought I best write, or I will forget again. Today, I did my workout and then the usual grocery shopping. I cleaned the kitchen and then sat out on my porch and finished my Bible study for Thursday. I have stuff to do this week and wanted that completed and crossed off my list. This is the last week for this particular study and us ladies are having a little dinner party to celebrate. One of my dear friends called to tell me she is making my favorite German Chocolate cake. Just what I need the evening before weigh-in. Bless her heart! :D

HI all. I lost .6 lb this week...but here is what I see looking at my history...I Keep fighting the same 3 lbs...however, since March...I have lost 6 total, so all in all not a total waste of energy. I just want to keep losing the next 3 weeks My goal will be to keep the downhill going

I find it hard to get on here over the weekends. UGH. I met all my "zone" min this week..been playing kick ball with baby girl. LOL. I took the plastic off my treadmill now that I looks like no rain and cooler weather....it still works!!! YES!

@trooworld Glad you got a workout with no migraine...my daughter told me that she has been taking 1 Ibuprofen and 1 tylenol reg strength, its like a Vicodin without the drugs.. LOL. x that x's 2 if it's a real bad one...I took an extra strength tylenol (all I had) and an Ibuprofen on Friday and oh it worked in 30 min...

@TeresaW1020 Oh a directory...lots of work, but lots of memories..One time I ate a WHOLE German Chocolate Cake when I was a teen...no one in my family liked it and someone from the church made it for my dad...LOL.

@gemwolf110 Enchiladas are about the only Mexican food I like LOL

@trooworld Yaaay for planning your meals. That can help keep us in bounds. I did it today. Yaaay on taking your medicine beforehand. Are the two related?

@TeresaW1020 The thing I like the most about tracking is that it helps me analyze if I need to because I surely won't remember.

@cbabie Hooray on the loss. Congrats. Kickball is fun. I still don't like German Chocolate cake. It's the coconut. Like maggots. I like my coconut fine. You can have the cake, I'll take all the mexican food.

I saw a neat thing out my window today. It was like a vertical rainbow. Plus there had been no rain. I'll post a pic.

Morning all, I didn't do much yesterday. Played in the yard with baby girl, but mostly "sat" with her. I was only 22 over in my calories, but had lots of fat and carbs...I am in a trial this week to see how I can incorporate better eating, but not eat the foods that are not really healthy for me...even though I believe if you purposely stay away from a food because it's bad....your thoughts keep going to it and you fold. So trying to change my mindset about food.

@trooworld Sorry you are fighting migraine...understand the weather...it rained last night..now it's COOL...its 55 here...that is cold to me.. I took Naproxen when I had my knee issues...Dr had me take that + prescription . he did a cycle of on and off. I was so happy, I had RSD and even air going across my leg would make me cry.. He was a different Dr than the one that did the surgery...Long story short he was a God Send.... I still take Naproxen when I tweak it...it's the only thing that will stop the pain.

@theslightedgeforever love that picture..only you would see that!! maggots really? Your imagination never ceases to amaze me..LOL

@trooworld Yes, I will take a little piece of the cake and probably a little bit of everything else too. ;) But I’m almost under 175 lbs. and I want to hit that number before I leave for vacation on Monday, so that will help me behave! Then if gain a bunch on the trip that will be OK because I know how to get back on track and I’ve already said that I will NOT beat myself up for indulging in good food, decadent treats, and WINE!!! I haven’t had wine in months!!

@theslightedgeforver that is a very pretty picture! My sister hated German Chocolate cake and because my parents loved it so much, they would sometimes buy one and I would be the only one who got to eat cake. That sure ticked her off!

@cbabie It helped me to switch my mindset on foods to what is truly nutrient-dense over what I can and can’t eat. For me saying I can’t ever have something sets me up, but if I know I can have it when I truly want it then for some reason that helps me stick to the healthier foods more often. :)

Hello! Today was a good day. My hairdresser text me that she was sick and postponed me until Friday, so I cleaned the house, did laundry, and mopped floors. The house is looking good for my trip, and I have our itinerary all figured out along with the clothes we will wear. Since we will be sightseeing by day and eating at nice places in the evening, we need two sets of clothes a day. I finally just had to glare at hubby and tell him to walk away. He would live in the same jeans and T-shirt for the whole trip if it was left for him to decide. It’s NOT!! :p

Well I said I was going to check in daily and I didn’t. But only missed 16 posts. lol. Need to get on every evening. Just seem so tired with getting up at 4:45 to get my son off to football.

Well today I need to restart and kickstart. Up a few pounds. Need to get a little more serious if I want to see any progress. Got a few days left of moving landscaping rock around the yard (which I am
Using for my workouts) then will get back on track there as well.

Today’s plan is moving more rock this morning and then book work for the afternoon. And to stay within calorie and points.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

@trooworld I was asking about the combination of migraines and exercise. You had said you took your migraine meds before exercising and it worked, no migraine. So I thought somehow it was related.

@cbabie I do think the mindset about food is the most important. I like Naproxen too but I have to be careful with it since it increases my risk for heart attack and stroke. Gotta love those genes. I have learned through the years that I am also a "texture" eater. Absolutely no crunchy pb but love the creamy kind. Yes, I know, probably doesn't matter for you. :D

@teresaw1020 Enjoy your trip it's almost here. Indulge but don't dig yourself a deep hole to have to crawl back out of. I had to double pack on my latest trip because I was going from Boston to Houston and one was having fall and the other one summer weather. While at the same time leave room for all the things I might buy. I didn't know I would be going to TJ Maxx in every state. I brought an addict with us on the trip. She went home with an extra suitcase. lol

I didn't get on here yesterday since I had my second shingles shot. Flu-like symptoms and a sore arm. Thus no exercise. Won't be any today either.

The good news is that I finally weighed myself after one month and I lost 0.2 lbs. :still dancing: With what my travel companions gained, I was expecting maybe a 5-7 lb gain. Hoping for maybe a 2-3. I stepped on twice this morning thinking I didn't see it right. My plan worked I guess. I left 1/4-1/2 on my plate. Made it to the gym at the hotel on the day we did a lot of driving and not moving. Didn't eat food because it was there. Sometimes my companions would order something like maple donuts and while I tried one, it's not like eating a Boston Cream. So I waited until I found things I truly wanted. (I did find 3 Boston Cream donuts ;) in TX lol ) I did buy some homemade fudge and kept it for almost 2 weeks, just taking pinches of it for the taste here and there. I finally threw away the last 3 pieces of it when I traveled home from Houston. My thought process at the time was I have gained so much weight that I'm going to really have to tighten up the ship drastically when I get home. My thought this morning after the weigh in was You don't have to be as drastic as you thought. That's a negative thought too. So I'm going to be somewhere in the middle and just follow my plan for the day. Start eating when I'm hungry and stop when I am starting to feel full. I can get more food later if I need it.

@theslightedgeforever HaHa, I browed an extra-large suitcase to go with my other luggage. Hubby wanted to know what I needed it and I was like, “Babe…shopping…duh!!” Plus, I gotta take my fan and pillow along too. :D Yeah, that Shingle shot is no joke. My doctor wants me to get it, but I haven’t figured out when I want to feel like crap. Congrats on your weight loss!! With all the traveling you have been doing you need to be extremely proud of yourself. And yes, you can always get more food. That is how I plan to handle our trip this week too. Eat great food but don’t get overly stuffed because I can always go get some more great food. And wine!!!

@trooworld, I am so happy that you love the Tonal. That kind of help and fun competition will only help you stick to your workouts. Now to get those migraines under control! :/

@gemwolf110 I’m glad that your issue was easily fixed! :)

Hi everyone! Today, I woke up to a new all-time low on the scale. 174.4 lbs. which means I met my goal to get under 175 before vacation. Tonight, I have a ladies Bible study dinner, but I don’t plan to go too crazy and I did pretty well today knowing I would be eating cake tonight! My mom, decided that I needed to open the Ninja Food Grill/Air Fryer that she bought me for Christmas. I made hamburgers on the grill part yesterday and it was very easy and tasty. I can’t wait to make something in the air fryer next. Soooo trooworld get those recipes ready!!

@renaegry 4:45 is early. I'm debating myself when I finally return home to get up really early like that and exercise/journal and take a nap later in the day or just sleep later. I like the alone time. Wow you had a great workout.

@gemwolf110 What healthy habit did you do today? Good news that it was not a major problem.

@trooworld I always laugh when someone says I've got lots of willpower. I always think if I had it, I wouldn't be fat. I always do much better out than at home. Maybe I just need to never go home. :D I ate 3 cups of triple mix popcorn today (what were you saying? ) Woohoo on your workout. I'm glad you think it's fun. Makes you want to do it more

@teresaw1020 You did it. You did it. Congrats on reaching your under 175 goal. I bet that feels great. My daughter bought a new airfryer but never used. Guess who keeps using it.......

Well, I feel much better now. Although my fitbit recorded my SpO2 levels at 92% last night. So I guess I will watch that. I have reactive airway disease and it got triggered when I was in Houston. So I've been using my inhaler. I bought a little "breather" thing from Amazon that's supposed to help build my breathing muscles. My son who's an SLP said he would use it when he worked in the skilled nursing facilities. It's supposed to lower blood pressure too which is one of the reasons I bought it. Hopefully it will distribute more oxygen around so I'll be less tired, more alert, etc.

Morning all, I didn't realize I didn't get on here...DH came home Wed and I am just wondering if I will be able to get back into a routine now..LOL. I have been journaling how many carbs and fat I have been eating, just to see where I can tweak and what I can live with and live without ( for that day) LOL I have determined with I don't eat PB at all, I CRAVE too many other things...so it's like ice cream with me...I know I am going to eat it so plan for it.. I got a very SHORT bike ride in yesterday...DH was home to watch baby..she just won't go, I think she got scared of cars and now won't go..

@TeresaW1020 Congrats on the WI before vacation..now go enjoy your vacation!! LOL

@trooworld I laughed out loud when I saw your post...air fryer recipes. Ask and you shall receive. You are too funny and I am so glad you are enjoying your Tonal!!! Congrats.

@theslightedgeforever I had to laugh when I read you were thinking about getting up early to journal/exercise...you are NOT a morning person.. I hope you do though I really enjoy my time in the mornings...it's the ONLY me time I get.

@gemwolf110 Glad you got to do Zumba at the gym...

@theslightedegforever Thank you, I’m really happy to have made this milestone! I’ve used the air fryer twice and wonder what has taken me so long to get on the bandwagon. Can you share what that breathing device was that you talked about? My pastor’s doctor told him this week that his lungs aren’t getting enough oxygen and that he needs to work on his breathing. He is even thinking of trying yoga and he is anti-yoga.

@trooworld Thank you soooo much for all the recipes! I copied them all and put them in a Word.doc and will start looking them all over. I’m pretty sure I want to make everything! :D Wow, I really hope your headaches calm down soon. How nice to be congratulated by your workout equipment. My Beachbody on Demand never does that! :D

@cbabie That is a shame that baby girl won’t go with you anymore. She might just be going through a phase. Cravings are such a hard thing to overcome. I ate sugar last night at Bible study with the ladies and I’ve been fighting the cravings all day for more. Fortunately, I didn’t bring any of the stuff home with me last night. ;)

Hello! I went and had my hair cut and colored today. She cut it very short in the back. I think I love it! While I was there my pastor called to tell me that his daughter-in-law lost her baby this morning. She was almost 2 months pregnant. :'( This on top of his dad just dying is just heartbreaking for the whole family. Plus, my pastor is having issues with his heart again that is probably from stress, but it has us all really worried. :/ In other news, I used my air fryer to make pork chops and they were super tasty. I’m looking forward to all kind of yummy cooking coming from that little machine.

Hi all. I'm so excited to tell you that I lost 6.6 lbs this week! I haven't lost anything in months and then this. It's just the morale boost that I needed. So if you need any, let me know, I probably have something for you LOL.

Morning all. Finally got my yard work done. My hubby figures in the whole landscaping I have probably move close to 30T of rock and dust. Now starting today is time to set a workout exercise schedule. I have no problem getting on my treadmill (I watch Netflix while I on it) but need to commit to doing strength workouts using the app.

Congrats to all on the weight loss. Hopefully I can join you next week. lol

@trooworld Huge congrats on your awesome weight loss this week!! Holy moly that is a lot of recipes! How do you ever decide what to make? That is a good long walk that you took. I sure hope that your art gets selected!

@renaegry That is a lot of rock! What are your favorite Netflix shows to watch? I’m watching Reign right now and it’s as farfetched as can be but super entertaining and the clothes are to die for!!

Hi everyone! Well, I’m as packed and ready for our trip tomorrow. You would think that will all the stuff I’m bringing we were going for a week and not just three days. But I have two changes of clothes for us for each day and of course, I need different shoes! Not to mention my big fan. I’ve read reviews and this hotel is an old warehouse on the river and it can be a little noisy. My fan will drown it all out! OK, I’m off to start dinner. I will talk to you all next Friday. :)

Well yesterday I got in a 3 mile brisk walk on treadmill and FitOn full body workout. Today will be a walk and an abs workout. Need to get some work done on my truck today. Then the afternoon need to get caught up on book work. One of our last warm days is forecasted today so will try to spend sometime outside reading. Enjoying my yard work. lol

Morning all, Somehow I start to read the post, baby girl gets up and I never get back on here. Keep working on my routine. She is in my bed watching hickory dickory dock right now..LOL. No exercise so far this week and I gained that .6 back...I tell you I an on a maintenance program..LOL. We are looking at taking baby girl to the pumpkin patch this week. We are also trying to work in our yard to get some grass back into our yard. Life happens. LOL.

@trooworld We do make trade offs in everything we do I think. Glad you are finding a way to enjoy your Tonal. Yea you yes for no vending machine stuff. I wish I could say the same for me...Oreo's got me I was upset and ate about 10 of them...hence the gain. LOL

Having trouble getting motivated. Did get outside for a 30 min brisk walk in between my book keeping. Had Ment to do an ab workout but ended up working then my daughter had a volleyball game. By the time we got home I hit the couch and watched some episodes of heartland. Off to football practice shortly. When home at 9 plan on treadmill and will do a short ab workout. Then book work for the day. Then this evening daughter has volleyball conferences 45 min away. Eating should be okay today.

I think I will get better in a few weeks when football is done and we are on a normal schedule. Which is kids go to school at 8:30 and I workout. With getting home at 9 right now with football just pushes the morning a little late. Plus with getting up at 4:45 I’m usually pretty tired

Morning all, well I didn't do my normal exercise...but hauling 35 blocks for a retaining wall and carrying pea gravel all day...I did get my workout..LOL. We are going to the pumpkin patch IF I can get everyone out of bed..LOL. I would like to go before afternoon so hopefully it won't be crowded on a Thursday...I won't go over the weekend too many people.

@renaegry. you do have a full schedule. Yes I think you will be physically able to do more when you are not on the go so much.. That is mentally and emotionally draining for me. LOL

@trooworld Yea on the Tonal workout..it's a good feeling to do physical labor I think. I think it helps us mentally.
