And good news foot is healing like it’s supposed to and doc said I can give Zumba a try whoohoo. If foot starts hurting wait 2 weeks and try again :-) and I so love the floof. Plenty of snuggles to go around. They are sending virtual snuggles. Lol yeah they sometimes save me a spot or just lay in my lap.

Hi All, I ran around the house with baby girl chasing me...only exercise yesterday. It rained here, can't believe we are still getting rain...My eating not so good, but today is 10/1 and my statement is you can do anything in 90 days..so 90 days it is. I am learning more about when and why I eat RAP..(I don't drink anything but water so no C.LOL so I guess am now a rapper.. :open_mouth:

@trooworld I am praying that timing all works out and your anxiety levels are lower...I am so excited for you.

    @TeresaW1020 Love that graphic..great job!!!

@gemwolf110 Your yard looks peaceful....yea on the go ahead to try zumba again.. I was just looking at pictures of when I broke my wrist remembering how it felt not being able to really wash my hair, or shave...LOL I remember trying to get out of the tub right afterwards...(couldn't get it wet) no weight on it...I thought I was going to have to stay in the tub or have paramedics pull. me out and be embarrassed. . So now I don't take those things for granted..LOL

@gemwolf110 Yaaay for the healing foot and you can begin zumba again. I remember when my knee got better and I could return to some stuff. I still have some problems with bending it though like in child's pose. I guess more stretching is needed.

@trooworld So Friday is almost finished, is the Tonal in your house? RP. LOL

@roz0810 Yaaay on the weight loss. Happy Birthday I have so many good jokes I could share about your recent chocolate, but I'll be nice and keep them to myself. ;)

@cbabie Did you get any exercise in today? Mopping floors can be exercise. It's rained here the entire week.

@teresaw1020 Very cute little chart. You have done well and your CRAP chart will be just as cute. I don't think my sister has the same sense of humor. :p I would be the one sending it to her. Love you@cbabie.

I spent the day at NASA. We took a tour of Mission Control what it looked like in the 60s and got to see the astronauts training center. Then your basic museum type stuff.

😂 everyone's been laughing their heads off at it. I thought it was hilarious too hehe.

ok so the last week I've been weighing in daily. I'll go back to weekly, Thursdays, from tomorrow because I want to focus on my eating and water intake still. also my first few weeks I normally see a big loss when I weigh weekly even though I do like to keep an eye on things sometimes. I think it'll be better for me

Morning all, I went for a walk last night. I had to fight babygirl to do it. SHE WANTED TO WALK on her own. It was night time so I told her NOT. We finally got the stroller and turned my phone on to the Detty Sisters...she loves to sing and watch them ....So that was yea for me. I got over 10K in steps total for the day. Eating a little too much sugar and fat..

@trooworld I don't consider your post negative..it's where you are and you are confronting. That is how you will get back to what you were doing with your loss. I thought your post was positive. I too have been over and just going back and forth with those 2 lbs..Here is what I know..YOU CAN do anything in 90 days. Go to what you know works...it's not about WW, it's about tracking and making choices. How do I say this? I say this to myself!!! So @TeresaW1020 and I might be like sisters in our personalities...LOL but you and I are sisters in our tracking..so lets do this!!! Me and my blood sister...not so much alike. LOL

@theslightedgeforever sounds like a fun trip. Not sure if you remember when we lived in FL taking all of the people who came to see us to NASA all the time? I loved going, I loved being able to see the shuttles take off. Yucky about the rain.

@roz0810 Great job on the loss, weight and inches.. I have a "little" piece of paper that has my measurements on it from 2003...I don't want to take my measurements now...I know I would CRY..LOL

    Happy Saturday all,

Finally was able to mow the front yard. It’s on a hill so I have been nervous about doing it until my doctor cleared that. Mowing and raking 6 weeks worth of grass is a workout. Will have to do back yard now that is 4 times the size of the front and riddled with husky holes. I’ll be going slow and very careful. Got a lot of errands done today as well. HelloFresh came in so planning on cooking that all up tomorrow.

@theslightedgeforever thats soo cool about going to NASA.

@roz0810 haha that’s hilarious. I think that’s too funny. If it were me I don’t think I could eat it. I’d probably store that in the fridge. Awesome NSV!

@trooworld i hear ya. I need better snack. Doesn’t help that it’s October and all the Halloween and holiday candy is everywhere. Tracking is tough! You’ll have to keep us all updated on the tonal machine. Sounds interesting.

@cbabie great job on the walk I need to start walking now. Perfect weather for both the pups and me.

@cbabie Yes, you can do anything for 90 days so do it!! Be the rapper you know you can be! Good job on getting in those 10,000 steps!

@theslightedgeforever how fun that you got to go to NASA! I was supposed to go one day when I was living in Florida but a stupid hurricane changed our plans and I never did go. I would love to know what it feels like to be weightless.

@roz0810 Nice loss!! And losing inches and getting noticed for your weight loss are such great feelings too. Keep it up! B)

@gemwolf110 I’m glad that the doctor gave you the go-ahead to get back to normal activities like mowing your yard. You just be careful with those holes!! :o

@trooworld I hear you about the CRAP challenge. I have no intentions of giving up my sparkling waters or the occasional Coke Zero. Plus, I LOVE my G Hughes sauces and those have artificial sugars. So, I’m with you and will focus on the RP portion of the challenge. ;)

I am sorry that you are having such a struggle right now with your weight. I want you to know that you are NOT letting us on the Slimpossibles down and you have nothing to be embarrassed about! <3 I’ve been keeping a detailed spreadsheet of my weight since January 2017, and I’ve gone 6 months or more at times with more gains than losses. Losing weight is hard and it takes so much of our energy to make progress. You have a great new incentive with the Tonal and I think you can use that as a real jumping-off point. And while you are upping your exercise you can work on your nutrition at the same time.

As for tracking and staying under your calorie goal, you have to start thinking of it as a job. If tracking was a part of your day job and your boss expected you to do it, I bet you would do it and do it VERY well. Right? So, become your own boss! And yeah, you have to get strict with what you allow in your home to eat. I honestly have no junk food in my house because if I did, I would eat it. I also think if you could make your meals fully satiating you could give up the snacking. Or at least most of the snacking. Giving your body time between meals to let your insulin drop will tap into your fat stores and that is what you want. Snacks are almost never about hunger, but always about an emotional response. If you are truly hungry for a snack then having something like an apple or broccoli would sound and taste good. I believe in you! :)

Hello! Well, the movie on the lawn was a huge success last night. Except our new popcorn machine decided to freeze up so they ran to the store and bought a bunch of microwave popcorn. So, that needs to be dealt with. :# I really didn’t enjoy sitting outside in the dark watching little boys chase and catch bugs, but I made it to the end, and then I was out of there. I went back up this morning to make sure the bathrooms were clean for tomorrow. Today was all about housework while DH has been glued to his football games. I think I’m going to go plant myself right now in front of the TV and watch some General Hospital. :)

Hi all...I have still been around, just not on the desktop computer that much & I really hate typing much on the I-pad. But I have been reading & following along, lol.

@trooworld Wow, I am excited for you & the Tonal. That seems like it would be so cool to exercise with. I tried not weighing daily for a month as an experiment, but don't think it was successful. I don't think I could get my mind in "losing mode", so more or less maintained. I am back to weighing daily. I try to log all my food everyday, even when I go over, so not sure how to motivate you there. To me, I guess it is just data..unfortunately it doesn't make me feel guilty when I go over, lol. I do occasionally miss logging, especially when with dd or have company here, but at least try to log something. (Of course, when I do that it usually means a gain) I use my food scale all the time when just dh & I, so I think I am pretty good at eyeballing when not able to use it. I am embarrassed to say how long I have been on MFP trying to lose the same 15#!!

@roz0810 nice loss....losing inches is great, too

@theslightedgeforever Glad you are having fun in TX. I think we went to NASA when we visited FL when the kids were little. I saw you waving & waved back..hope you saw me! :) Hope you enjoyed our State Fair..we passed on it this year, lol.

@cbabie Good job with your biking & steps! It is always seems harder for me to get the steps when with the gkids.

@gemwolf110 Your dogs are gorgeous & the white one reminded me of our last dog. Glad your foot is doing so well!

@TeresaW1020 The CRAP challenge sounds interesting..might have to try it, although I think I have already blown 2 days. Oh well, need to try to do better, not perfection, lol. You asked about our pumpkins...we planted almost as many as last year, but I think it was too dry for them, & the weeds always get away from us! One day, I thought I found about 10...so excited to find any...but a few weeks later, they were all rotten. We got ZERO pumpkins this year!! So sad! I think this will be the last year planting them there, might try a few plants here so we can water them.

Since I have been here, my bil came down with Covid. (I don't think he & my sister got the vaccine) Surprisingly she tested negative 3 times. He was having some breathing issues with it, so was given inhalers, but I guess he is pretty much back to normal now. Did not have to be hospitalized. Not sure if they will get the vaccine now, or not. I am anxiously awaiting my "booster" shot, tho.

After my no weighing month, I think I am finally in the right mental place to stick to my plan. Hope so..guess time will tell!

    Have a great week!!

@roz0810 I used to like to weigh daily but now twice a week works for me but I've been away from my scale since September 18th so who knows. Hooray on your NSV. Those are the best.

@trooworld Awareness is the first step, so they say. So you are aware of why you are gaining weight so now you can make a plan to fix it. So 1) bring healthy snacks into the house 2) track everything no matter if going over 3) go back and analyze your meals from the past 6 weeks and see how you could reduce your calories? Are you going back for seconds? Taking too big of a portion? Are there trigger foods you are eating? See if you can spot any patterns.

@cbabie Yaaaay for finding a solution that allowed you to walk. I have measurements back from 83. My thighs are almost as big as my as my waist. I do remember NASA as a child. Mom loved space stuff. I was telling the family that as I went through NASA. Hubby was a kid. I would have just as well sat and read my kindle. I did that actually while they were in the gift shop. Some guy came over and said, You've got the right idea and sat down next to me.

@teresaw1020 Yes, you could be my sister from another mister. You're just like cbabie in some regards.

@gemwolf110 Mowing the grass is quite a workout. Sounds like you have your food plan in place for the week.

@retiredandlovingit I guess just shoot for one lb loss. When you do that, focus on the next one. Getting your mind in place is the most important part. I did enjoy your state fair. I double masked just to be safe around the crowds. We were there on the last day. I kept thinking of you when I was in Vermont and New Hampshire and would see all the pumpkins. Sorry about your bil. I need to get my 2nd shingles shot in the next couple of weeks and finally get that out of the way.

@gemwolf110 I'm loving your good morning graphics. I don't see them til the evening, but they are so pretty.

@trooworld Did you enjoy your tonal workout this morning? Yaaay on not buying snacks. Why not plan for your Trader Joe's corn chips in your day. Do you plan on never eating them again? Something in my current book resonated with me...."If you can’t imagine eating a certain way for the rest of your life, don’t bother doing it for even a day." So plan out the corn chips; enjoy them without the guilt. Work your other meals/calories around them so you can stay within your boundaries making them healthy and nutritious.

I need to work on staying within my boundaries. Tracking is never the problem. It's just become a habit. Knowing I have to report my numbers to you all and then two other groups. I work best when preplanning but being out of my home routine seems to make it harder than it should be. But I'm enjoying my kids for now. Water needs work. But having a hard time focusing on more than one habit at a time. I know I still lost weight without the water. It just would have been easier. I bought me some Mio to go in there. That seems to help for a bit but then it doesnt.

@trooworld I am glad that you enjoyed the Tonal and I love the scoring they use. That should really help you stay motivated to improve your scores. What a shame you had that terrible migraine! I sure hope you feel better today. My scale is up to this morning and I know it’s from eating too much. Dang, my tasty cooking!!

@theslightedgeforever I woke up thinking about boundaries too and how I need to work on them if I ever plan to actually get to a goal weight. We can never get too complacent, can we? :/

Good morning! I’m up and posting because I have a busy day and didn’t want to forget later on or be too tired. After my workout and grocery shopping, I plan to spend the day in my closet sorting and reorganizing. I need to try on a bunch of stuff and see if it’s a keeper or not. Yesterday, I cleaned out my drawers and jewelry box. I do love it when everything is super organized. I just need to learn to keep it up. I woke up with the scale up a pound and I know it’s simply because I keep eating too big a portion. I way overate dinner and I wasn’t even that hungry when I sat down to eat. So, I’m going to flip the switch and become hyper-focused on accurate tracking and cut the calories, which will obviously cut my portion sizes down. I want to get below 175 lbs. this week!! :#

@theslightedgeforever Well, funny story about that, I'll tell you below to everyone but yes, I did. No, I plan on eating some but I tend to get into them when I am hungry and that's when I don't do good portion control. I guess when I am hungry like that, I need to pick a different snack like grapes or something. You need to work on staying within your calorie boundaries or something else? I hear you on water, that is my constant struggle.

Hi all. Well, exciting news, I did my first Tonal workout yesterday morning. HOWEVER, during it, I got an explosive migraine and had to stop. It was awful, I was laid out for the day with it. Several things were the cause of this migraine: I already had the beginnings of a headache when I started, I was dehydrated, and it was hot. I don't expect it to be a regular thing to get a migraine while using the Tonal but I am taking today off to make sure that the migraine is gone. I am including two pictures: one is my starting strength score and the other is how much I lifted during my 40-minute workout session. I honestly loved it until my head exploded. It was easy to use and fun. Eating was okay yesterday, I ended the day with a deficit although I'm up on the scale today because I had pasta salad for lunch yesterday and pizza rolls for dinner. Have a good day!

    @IWillCommit42Days4Change Welcome to the group!

@trooworld Boundaries: my carbs, but I also watch my calories and keep them reasonably close to their daily goal. Today I added my cheez its to my lunch and made it a part of that instead of just keeping it a snack like I usually do. I had counted out 25 and was satisfied with that along with my sandwich. Otherwise I could just keep going back for more. I did get 50% water so far. Which is progress. It will be fun to watch the total improvement score go up.

@teresaw1020 Today's book lesson was really good and it is going along with the podcast I listened to today. It's about knowing when to start and when to stop. Using the hunger and full scale. setting out your intention of where you want to be on the fullness scale when you finish eating. Create a speed bump. Once you have the amount of food you think you’ll need, physically divide it in half on your plate to remind yourself to stop halfway and check in again. Anyway, that's all the things I'm working on. Today I chose a 1/2 bagel where in the past I would have felt deprived because it's not a WHOLE bagel. The half bagel filled me up and I have half the carbs/cals I normally would have had.

@gemwolf110 I keep thinking it's later in the week that it really is. Yesterday I was like it's only Monday? So what good healthy decisions have you made today?

When you realize you’ve eaten too much, ask yourself, “Why did it happen?”

Here are some other questions to ask to help you determine why you overate.

•Why was I eating in the first place?

Was I in an Instinctive, a Restrictive, or an Overeating Cycle? •

When did I get the urge to eat?

    What was I thinking?

    What was I feeling?

    What else was going on?

@theslightedgeforever I like the idea of creating a speed bump and checking in to see if I am full yet. I do fairly well at lunch, although I sometimes overeat there as well, dinner is the main culprit. Cutting the meal in half on our plate is a great idea as are those great questions. I’m printing those out! A podcast I was listening to talked about how we have trained our bodies to feel a certain level of fullness and we will keep eating to that fullness until we retrain ourselves to a new fullness level. I really need to work on that as well. :/

@gemwolf110 That pork cottage pie looks so tasty! I make something like it but use mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes. :)

@trooworld (((((hugs))))) I am so sorry that you had to say goodbye to your baby! I know he has been suffering for a long while now and that you made the right decision, but your heart is broken so be gentle with yourself. Try to let your Tonal help you by getting out your emotions through a good hard workout and not turn to food. <3

Good morning! We have had two days of almost consistent rain and I’m ready for it to stop! I have a dental cleaning this morning and then I want to run to Kohls to look for a pair of black Ponte pants to replace the ones that have gotten too big on me. I also need a rain jacket since I just donated mine. Great timing! I’m off to lift some heavy weights and get on with my day. :)

@gemwolf110 Thank you, it is now! I'm looking forward to the weekend, too. I'm glad your foot was good for Zumba. Your HelloFresh meal does look good! How did it taste?

@theslightedgeforever That's great you got 50% water by the time you wrote this. And yes, it will be fun to watch my strength score go up. The machine automatically ups your weights when it can tell you are ready for it.

Hello all. Well, I wasn't here yesterday because we ended up having to put our beloved pug to sleep. He had acute pancreatitis and was suffering. It was very hard but it was the right decision. Needless to say, I didn't do well yesterday, I stress-baked some Amish Cinnamon Bread and had a piece of that. The night before, after we got back from the animal urgent care, we ordered pizza. But today is a new day, I am going to use the Tonal this morning and get off on the right foot.

My phrase for the year: CHANGE HAPPENS

It was absolutely delicious 🤤 still have 3 servings left.

@trooworld I am so sorry about your pugs. HUGGGGGGGSSS.....Glad you like your Tonal...sorry about the migraine. I hate those things.

@TeresaW1020 Love decluttering..I just don't do it enough. I like to wear the same old things all the time..

    @gemwolf110 That dinner looked great.

@IWillCommit42Days4Change Welcome!!! I used to do those boards. I didn't like the app ones..I think that's about the time I dropped WW.

@trooworld That's good the the machine automatically ups your weights. Oh so sorry about your pug. It's hard to lose a family member. If you get the urge to stress eat again, come here and tell us some of your favorite memories. What was his name?

Am I able to identify hunger? Was I hungry? How hungry was I?

•If I was hungry, was I too hungry? If I wasn’t hungry, what was the physical, environmental, or emotional trigger?

•What did I choose to eat and why? Did that affect how much I ate?

•How did I eat? Was I mindful or was I distracted?

•Did I set an intention for how full I wanted be when I was done eating?

•How much food did I have in front of me?

•What was I thinking about when I decided to continue to eat past the point of satisfaction? Most important, ask yourself, “What could I do differently next time?”

It rained the first week I was here in Houston and finally we are getting some sunshine. I've been able to go out and walk the past 2 days.

@cbabie Are you finding some time to exercise? Maybe look up some Mommy and Me youtube videos so baby girl can move around with you. Take her to the park and kick a ball back and forth.

I created my speed bump but then ate a bit of the other half. I learned that I'm more hungry if I eat directly after walking.

    Good morning everyone.

I mentioned before that I had given WW another chance. I got 3 months free. I decided quickly again it just wasn't for me. I tried atleast. I know i can do this with just calorie counting so I'm going to stick with what I know works for me :)
