I had been getting a little discouraged because my jeans feel the same, I still can't get my wedding ring on, and no-one has noticed that I've lost anything, but I know I'm in early days. As @kenziestabes noted above, being 5'11" has its advantages in that we can carry an extra 30lbs pretty easily, but it also means that it's virtually unnoticeable when I lose weight until I hit some significant numbers.
@wanderinglight I'm 6'. It was seriously at least 35lbs gone before anybody noticed anything. Just stay with it!!!5 -

Decided to log a day early. Super busy day tomorrow and won't have time to get onto the community board to update. Wedding went great. Certainly loss at a slower rate than anticipated, but I still lost weight! Don't know for certain whether I will break 220 before November, but I'm pretty darn close. Feels like I haven't gone to the gym in forever, though.
On the plus side, I am currently wearing some size 14 jeans- the size I wore back when I was a student athlete- and they aren't uncomfortable. Decided to also try on a formal gown I had worn to a banquet 4 years ago. It was tight on me then. Now? Fits perfectly! (Ironically it says size 18, but that may have been UK sizing). It'll almost be sad when it gets too big. But if I have a formal event come up in the next couple of years, I'll probably want to buy or rent a new dress anyways.4 -
Thank you for the welcome, all. Today was a bit easier, stayed just under calorie range, and I am focusing more on how my body feels. I’m working on not needing to feel full and trying to pinpoint why I would want to. I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep!4

All my belly aching last week and I'm almost back to 209. I had gotten a blister on the ball of my foot while out for a walk which caused me to walk funny which cause my calf muscles to become sore. I think that was predominantly why I gained, because of water retention in the muscles, because now that my muscles don't hurt anymore, I'm almost back to where I was last week.
I've walked on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes 5 of the last 7 days and hit 10k steps just as many days.
Just going to keep doing what I'm doing and hope it keeps working!3 -

Very happy with this week’s loss as I wasn’t the best with eating or working out. Our busy season at work ends next week so that should help a lot.
@goal06082021 I hope your husband’s MRI goes well! And good luck on your “ultrawalkathon”!
@kenziestabes, @justanotherloser and @wanderinglight congrats on fitting in your old dresses!
And everyone else is doing great! We can all do this!💪

My "busy season" with work has kicked into high gear this week, which means 50+ hour weeks. Seriously need to find some quick, easy, healthy meals. I fell back into my doordash patterns and ordered in several times, and feel like I did some back sliding on my nutrition as a result. Feeling a little frustrated that my weight just seems to be hovering around 250. I'll go down a pound or two, then right back up the next day. I know it is related to my stress levels, not so good food choices, and not enough water. Trying to power through it but definitely feeling like I am in a funk. Ugh.
Hoping to let go of some stress and get some steps in my taking the kids to the amusement park today before the rain rolls back in. But getting my butt to move this morning and actually leave the house is challenging, lol. Anyways, hope you all had a successful week!5 -
sargemarcori wrote: »In my opinion you're doing AMAZING, @patriciafoley1 Moving was a big part of what completely derailed me last time, and I undid 67 pounds of my up-to-then 75 pounds of weight loss. So I am cheering you on!
I dropped 4 tenths of a pound today, from 170.8 to 170.4, so still moving in the right direction. I hope to be in the 160s by the end of the month. And that will be a weight I haven't been in decades. So still trying and still hopeful

I ended yesterday with 28,931 steps - I officially stopped Walking at about 26k (walked 10 miles in about 4 hours), then racked up another 2k or so incidentally. I also realize I forgot to check in yesterday, so let me do that real quick here:
Height: 5'2"
Age: 30
SW: 252.8 (11/13/2020)
CW: 210.0 (9/26/2021)

10/23: 209-ish

GW for October: 205
GW for 2021: 196
UGW: 144 end of 2022
I forgot to weigh before getting dressed, so the actual scale number was 210.4 but I just took off a pound or so for clothing. A goodly portion of that not-loss is also water/food in transit. Probably won't make my October goal, but I'll get close enough for jazz, I think.
Today was the last official workout for the crush training. I got my pumpkin picked out, probably just going to go for a walk Thursday morning next week, and then next Sunday is crush day. I might just walk every day for the first couple of weeks of November, to rack up steps for the LoseIt Cryptid Hunt challenge, then figure out what to do for the rest of next month later.5 -
Joining, and I hope the thread continues for November4

Same weight as pre-pandemic, but at least I didn't gain. Feeling cautiously optimistic.
5'4" 66 years old. SW 240 and hope to get below 200 finally, however long it takes.
Actually walked today for 30 minutes and want to repeat that every other day if possible.
Usual pattern is to slow down and eat sweets in the Winter, but I hope to go to Iceland in March or April.
I was in this group previously and I am so glad to find it again!5 -
Checking in for last week. Did a lot of cleaning and decluttering this weekend, so feeling really good going into the week.

Definitely hitting my GW for October, and maybe even going a little lower than my goal range! My Orangetheory HIIT classes are absolutely bananas this week, which I'm kind of enjoying. They call it Hell Week and the workouts live up to that name. I couldn't have even come CLOSE to doing these workouts when I joined at the end of July. I've seen real progress on the treadmill, rowing, and in my strength on the weight floor.
I don't visually see progress yet, but like others on this thread, I'm a tall lady and it takes a little longer for the progress to be visible. But I'm seeing inches lost in addition to the pounds down and the gains in my workout classes. Plus, my Apple Health stats are all trending in a great direction and I'm feeling better - more energy, faster walks with the pup, being able to treat myself without overdoing it.5 -

I'm not going to get frustrated. I'm *DOING* what I need to do. the scale will catch up eventually. It feels like forever, but I've only been hovering around 235 for a month, and I *have* been eating at a deficit and walking lots more than before.
If I keep not moving, I'll think about changing things up a bit, adjusting my macros or something. But for right now, I'm just going to stick with it. at least I'm holding firm!

@sargemarcori For 8 weeks I noticed that even though I eat all the fiber I need in a day, and am eating at a deficit and working out - I was still stalling in the weight significantly. So I was thinking my colon just needed an assist, even though I really thought that moving and fiber should have done it. I used Milk of Magnesium, and I guess I was just stalled out for reasons I just don't get. I really thought fiber + exercise meant happy colon. But I know that changing diet can mess with you for a while until your body gets situated with the new food choices. It worked and now I am trucking along as if I had no issues. Maybe that will help. It is magnesium, so if you are on a magnesium limited diet do something else - but it works for the elderly!1

Ladies, I've officially lost 25 pounds since I started this round of diet/exercise! (13 July to present) That is exactly 1/3 of the weight I am aiming to lose, so that I'll be two pounds "into" the normal BMI range. If I can keep up this rate, I'll be at my goal weight in 7 months. Realistically, since I know I'll slow down, my goal is to get there by my 1 year weight loss anniversary.11
