I participated in the last challenge so I’m happy to do this one, too. I’m starting in a little late, but I keep track so I can refer back to the date I should have started:
Starting challenge weight: 178 lb
January 31st goal weight: 169 lb
Weigh in will be Tuesdays
178 pounds on Nov. 2
175.5 on Nov. 11 - Woot, woot!!! We have progress!
I saw my dietician on November 5th and she was very encouraging (I didn’t meet my October 31st goal from last time). She thinks that I am doing great, particularly in light of the death of my beloved FIL since I last saw her (and the fact that this is the season of when my husband and I were caregivers for my sister while she had pancreatic cancer and she passed away in the beginning of December - lots of traumatic memories around this time of year).
My dietician suggested challenging myself for something other than weight. I’m doing well with logging into MFP daily, and also logging the majority of my meals, but I often fail to “complete my diary” at the end of the day. So, I said I’d see if I can do that. So far, so good.

Well this is no surprise. I moved less and ate more this week. I have no excuse other than the blues and a bit of lethargy.
I recently saw on line that the Pioneer Woman. Ree Drummond, has lost 60 lbs. Now if a woman that has a cooking show for a living can manage to lose weight, I know I can. I just need to stop the boredom, comfort eating.

Hello all! I am going to give this a try. I have been actively watching my CICO for almost 2 years. In the spring I started eating gluten free-ish (about 95%) to help alleviate symptoms from hashimoto's. I started Dec 1, 2019 at 231.0 lbs. I am a 38 year old mom of two who "loves" to run half marathons.
11/1: 203.4 lbs - 20 days out from my half marathon and no motivation to train.
11/2: 202.6 lbs - yesterday was a good day eating wise but not much exercise.
11/3: 202.4 lbs - I was able to get in a run yesterday and my husband made an awesome GF lasagna. good day all around!
11/4: 202.2 lbs - Not much activity yesterday but I kept my calories in line.
11/5: 201.6 lbs - I weighed in much later today which is probably most of the decrease. I ran 2 miles yesterday. I am 2 weeks out from my half marathon and couldn't do my last long run last weekend bc I was sick. So I broke my 12 miler over today and tomorrow. I ran 6 this afternoon and will run 6 tomorrow morning. I am eating gluten today bc Chick-fil-A chicken tenders sounded way too good after my run but I only ate half my fries bc I was full. Have a great weekend all!!
11/6: 202.0 lbs - I expected the increase due to the Chick-fil-A. I was only able to get in 3 miles this morning. I haven't eaten well today but stayed within my calories.
11/7: 201.8 lbs - not great for eating today. We will see what happens to the scale tomorrow.
11/8: DNW - I had to run out to the school bc my daughter forgot her glasses, so I did not weigh in. Happy Monday everyone!!
11/9: 202.8 lbs - I've been under calories everyday... frustrating but just the way it goes.
11/10: 202.0 lbs - I've been eating fairly well but not wanting to be active.
11/11: 202.0 lbs - happy thursday!
11/12: 200.6 lbs - I'm sure this loss will rebound a little. I weighed in late and did not eat much yesterday.

I'm in! Thank you, @RubyRed427 !
71 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

Hello! I’m 34F, 5’4 and started using MFP again at the end of May and feel like I am in it for the long haul this time, learning how to cook healthy foods and creating healthy habits.
May 28th 2021 Weight 240lbs (also my highest weight)
Ultimate goal weight 170lbs (I’ll reassess once there but that feels more like a doable goal right now)
Challenge starting weight- 204lbs
Challenge end goal- 190lbs (Firmly into onederland)
Sunday is my weigh in day
11/01 204.0 up a bit from yesterday but had double my normal sodium intake yesterday. It makes for an even number to start out with
11/07 205.8 +1.8lbs had an imaging appointment the next town over was stressing out for, day of didn’t eat beforehand then went shopping and brought so many treats plus fast food for lunch and dinner. That was the only day I actually went over my bmr but was over my calorie goal more often this week. Plus side, results of imaging were good news.
11/14 204.0, 1.8 lbs lost, 0.0lbs lost this month. Alright, am now at least back where I started this month. Had a pretty good week, two hikes, one walk and two shopping days that got a lot of steps. Finally found a pair of hiking shoes that fit (had to get a mens pair as have not found one women’s pair in wide) Been wearing them around the house and for shopping, hopefully will be good today, first time using them on a hike.

Well I didnt get to the 180 or below. Had an uptick to 181.8 lbs but I was true to my calories, carbs, water and exercise so just a normal weight fluctuation. So I lost 30.2 lbs during the 3 month challenge. Which is excellent!
So starting 11/1 at 181.8 lbs with goal of 15 lbs for the 3 months. This 10 lb average / month that has been going on has got to slow down soon, I'm thinking.
Welcome back to past challengers and to the new ones!
64 yo 5' 4" Heaviest Weight twice-255 lbs, got down to 122 lbs 2010 and kept it off 5 years then got lazy.
11/1/21-181.8 lbs
11/7/21-180 lbs! Down 75 lbs.
11/14/21-176.6 lbs! Down 5.2 lbs of my monthly goal of 5 lbs and my 15 lbs for the 3 months. 78.4 lbs lost. About 60% loss of my goal of 133 lbs to lose. Did 223 minutes on my Elliptical today. I wanted to finish the last 10 minutes of the movie and wanted to hit the 16 mile mark!8 -
This looks like a great group - sorry I'm a couple weeks late in joining. 15 lbs would be a great start to my long term weight loss goal.
Starting weight Nov 13 = 256
Goal weight Jan 31 = 241
Ultimate Goal Weight = 170
I've been working on the Caroline Girvan Epic Heat challenge - just completed Day 31 although the challenge is going to take me more than the 10 weeks her plan calls for. I've been seeing changes in body composition (down a pants size) but it's time to focus on tracking calories and macros to really move the number on the scale. I find it much easier to motivate myself to exercise than to eat right but hopefully seeing all your posts and successes will be the motivation I need.
Best wishes to everyone on your weight loss journeys!!8 -
I'm also starting late. Only joined mfp on Nov 11, 2021. Could use all the help I can get and this challenge would help me to stay motivated. Because, I feel that being in group with people that have some similar goals, will be better then doing it by myself.
Start Weight (Nov 11) 299.2 (on mfp)
Challenge Start Weight: 296.4
Jan 31st Goal Weight: 281.4
11/11: 299.2
11/12: 299.2
11/13: 297.8 ⬇️ (-1.4 lbs)
