What irks you today?

The dog-walker who put the neatly tied poop bag on top of my garbage when it was sitting at the curb waiting for collection. No, the garbage dudes won't throw it on the truck. No, it's not my problem to deal with now that it's sitting at the curb where my garbage used to be.2

Mixed irk/happy
Long story.
Irk: VA can’t see my husband for his (insert disturbing tale with blood where it shouldn’t be) for at least three more weeks.
Happy: I figured this would be the case when we first had to go to the ER a couple weeks ago. So I got him an appointment with a local urologist for Tuesday.
It will cost a significant copay.
Don’t care. We’re getting the thing done asap. And that even made the VA urology person happy, considering the circumstances.4 -
I'm irked that my nose doesn't work like my dogs' noses. Obviously something had visited our backyard because my pups were very excited at 4:30 this a.m. Only smell that excited me at that time, was my coffee.3

My broken dryer. Now I have wet clothes in the washer and damp clothes in the dryer. 😫2

The thought of all the yummy food I could be eating right now if I wasn't trying to lose weight and eat healthier. Really need to distract myself to not give in!5

This irks me all the time, not just today.
Quoting and still admiring celebrities who have chosen to end their own life.

New people that don’t really know me yet, who takes my kindness for weakness, who think they can take advantage of me... the monster in me is sleeping not dead, I will violate you.

So, what's the alternative? Vilifying people who committed suicide?
Ignoring or erasing any good that came from a person just because they ended their own life?
Does having mental health issues make someone a bad person who shouldn't be quoted or admired?
Just trying to understand what you mean exactly.6 -

Sorry, no way in hell I’m going to have a convo about this topic.
I said how I feel and that’s as much as I plan on saying about it.5 -

I have to agree with you on this. One can disagree with the method of the exit but one should not eliminate any good they may have done or accomplished during the rest of their lives. We all, all of us deal with Mental health issues in some way. Perhaps Honey has dealt with this topic personally and has some awful memories about this topic. Totally can understand. Perhaps others may feel it's a cowardly way out of a difficult situation, I can understand this as well. I've seen pretty much all sides of this being in occupation that delt with tragically. A very sensitive topic for sure. Everyone back to your corners for a standing 8 count.5 -
(Sigh) Dryer stopped blowing heated air two days ago. Took off front and back panels and vacuumed out a mess. Success! For two whole loads.
Have ordered $50 worth of sensors to change - when they arrive on Friday. If that doesn't do it, that's all I'm investing in this 12 year old dryer and then guess what I'm getting for Christmas...

- Migraines
- Consistent oily skin (worse in winter for whatever reason)
- Being cursed with menstruation
- My husband relying on me to "help" him with his Korean homework because he can't be bothered to do the work himself and then wondering why I get snippy. Look, it's not my fault you don't pay attention in class and then get frustrated when things click for me and don't for you. I actually pay attention. Spend less time trolling people online and more time paying attention to our teacher when we're doing virtual and it would click for you, too. I'm not carrying you.

Mine did the same so I replaced some stuff in the back, can't remember what now, and it worked for a load. I was so excited. Then we cleaned out the vent which was a mess. That didn't do it. It was 14 years old so I said to he!! with it and bought dh a dryer for his birthday. He's the main one who uses it anyways. I either hang clothes outside or on racks in the basement.
Good luck with your dryer issues!!0 -

I also hang most everything, but need the dryer for sheets and blankets, towels, socks and underwear. The parts are coming today. Thank goodness it really won't be a 'present' if I have to get a new one.2 -

What's fr ? Is this you back in the dating game ?1 -
On the theme of cleaning - I have a friend who is a hoarder
Her flat is absolute horror film disgusting!
I have tried to help her but it's impossible.
Her partner and her grown up son do nothing!
The irony is that she works in mental health.
I worry about her and her living situation more than she does.
After 20yrs I have given up.2 -
The snow, cold and wind. I distinctly had this conversation with Mother Nature about holding off until Christmas Eve.
It is pretty though.2 -
Cold floors first thing in the morning (and I can't find my slippers).1

IGNORANCE!! 😡 Some people really need to educate themselves with proven facts!0

It irks me when people aren’t true to themselves and who they are and own it!!
people should accept them for who they really are or move along they’re not worth your time1 -
Sarcastic people, who think their sarcasm is a joke but it's usually just a way for them to be a jerk to people.🙃5

The person in a public restroom talking on speaker phone.
I'm sure the person you are talking to is enjoying the sound of flushing toilets.
