It was a really nice place, but it’s hard to imagine my mother there. 😞
Unfortunately it only takes a couple bad ones to spoil the image of all of them. My dad went into one temporarily and he got along really well there; loved the attention, joked with the staff. My BIL was in one for 3 months and loved to chat with people, anybody he met in the hallways he'd strike up a conversation with. Those 2 particular nursing homes were absolutely wonderful and the caregivers were really kind and caring to the residents. When and if the time comes, my wish for you and your mom is that you find a place just like them.3 -
I gotta find someplace where I can exchange words and ideas with other humans.
Surely there’s somewhere.
No not church.
Not social media.
This place used to fill the need but these days,
geez talk about a slow ride.6 -

I read your posts 🙂
Random thoughts,
We are to live our life, feel our emotions, live the human experience for some purpose we are unaware of.
For others we’re unaware of.
That have always been here.
Some of my random ideas are plain ole cray cray 😂1 -
Has anyone ever done their own research on how many it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?3

Always been here and the purpose were unaware of is the crux of the biscuit. Kinda deep kid and not so cray cray. Thought provoking. The human experience our own personal experience can't be by design can it. Life is an adventure the sun rise, the sound of the ocean the birth of a child. Things pass by so quickly we barely have time to appreciate. To share life with that one being to connect on a different level to truly appreciate the experience of life of all life nature included is well should be the goal. I wish I could go back and try again. But maybe just maybe this was the goal all along. To move our consciousness to a broader awakening and appreciate the connection of the universe to all things.
Talk about cray cray.5 -
Stole a bit of that from Frank Zappa,
Nanook a no no, don't be a naughty Eskimo1 -

For me it was always about 6,
then I can’t stand it and bite into it. 😀2 -
I was supposed to go with my ex tonight to see Lindsey Buckingham in concert but I backed out.
Sometimes I can’t be around him,
my nerve endings are frayed enough already.5 -

I wouldn't be able to do it... I wouldn't even be able to try!
I had a panic attack just being on a conference call with mine, yesterday.3 -
The annual 2 lb box of See's candy a client sends us. Instead of immediately unboxing it and leaving it in the boss' office because he gets the first piece, I just stuck it in there for him to open or have me open when he gets in. Or else my mouth would be covered in chocolate.1

My mom, always.
At 94, I worry for her every day.

Yeeeeeeah, so the See's candy plus we got some Harry and David stuff, and Milkbar cookies and pie. The pie was lemon meringuey and dangerous.2

Argh.....I swear I'm losing it. I sent a package last week, insured it, and everything. It hasn't arrived yet and it was supposed to be delivered on Monday. Of course I can't find my receipt, tracking number and all that. I am SO upset right now.2

My father in law was placed on a vent Monday afternoon. He has underlying health issues. Making this a tough fight. One day at a time...
Thank you for thinking of me. ♡
Sending all the prayers and positive thoughts your way Jenni 🤞1 -

I'm with Jo. All the prayers and thoughts going to you and your family. May he improve each and every day; and may you find comfort and peace2 -
What I can eat tonight at our Christmas dinner. I have a stitch in my mouth that hasn't dissolved and it, even with my upper denture in, hurts to chew. I was planning on a petit filet but now pretty much looking at French onion soup and chili. Or an order of creamed corn. Or mashed potatoes? No clue!
I'd rather more protein and less calories but the salmon is peppered and the sand dabs have bones and still look like fish.1 -
