(In MFP ordained order)
My sister came to visit and taught me how to make gyoza
Thanksgiving dinner. My husband’s Irish father is the cause of there being 4 different potato dishes lol
A chicken pot pie with phylo crust. Utterly delicious and looks SO fancy with very little effort!
Homemade poke bowls. Super DUPER tasty and way more plentiful than most from a stand!4 -
@o0Firekeeper0o Poke bowl looks delicious as do the gyoza.2
-

We didn't order well. The two mains and the spinach side all tasted quite similar.

Romaine "taco" with seasoned pork, guac, tomatoes and feta. I should have added some olives and lime juice but I was in a hurry.

We had friends round for dinner. Taco night with homemade corn tortillas, and lots of fillings. Baja fried cod, seared tuna, shrimp ceviche, pico de gallo with coriander on the side for coriander hating hubby, guacamole, esquites, refried beans, slaw, crumbled feta, a hot mole sauce. I forgot to put the red onion pickles on the table. Dessert was lychee sorbet floats with prosecco. Lychee sorbet was made with tinned fruit.

Leftover pork from yesterday made into taco salad of romaine, ground pork, guac, tomatoes, olives, feta with freshly squeezed lime juice. I didn't use enough of the spice mix last night so added more to the meat today. It was Mexican seasoning of coriander, cumin, Mexican oregano, salt and three different kinds of chili powder. Much more flavorful this time around.

Steak with sweet potato (no butter) and green beans. I only ate half of the steak and potato.6 -
A quick early dinner before heading out to a concert. Salade nicoise using up the extra tuna we seared for the fish taco dinner last night. Took some liberties with Alistair Little's recipe by adding some avocado we had leftover from last night.

Side salad and tostadas.

Was planning to order in a seafood boil from our local Caribbean, but they couldn't fulfill our order due to Brexit related supply chain problems with their shellfish supplier who had a shortage of drivers. Ended up with a delivery from the local Szcechuan.

Fennel chicken sausage with pasta al pesto (spaghetti w/pesto). The sausage was made in house at a local butcher. It had a strong fennel flavor that my partner and I both liked. Salad of romaine and cherry tomatoes (no photo) to accompany this.

A friend came round for dinner. Pulled out a portion of the salt beef I made with the sous vide last week from the freezer to make St Patrick's day dinner. Horseradish mash, boiled cabbage and store bought sauerkraut, glazed carrots. I made the huge pavlova when I thought there would be 6 at dinner before a couple pulled out because of covid fears.

Roasted garlic stir fry of tofu w bell peppers and candied carrots on the side.3 -
We went out for pizza tonight. Four kinds of meat. Also had carpaccio with fennel & arugula. And an espresso martini (to die for ... super delicious). We forgot to take a photo of the pizza until it was nearly gone. This is the only place I eat pizza at locally but tonight the carpaccio had way too much parm. Usually there is more of the vegetables and less parm.

Lunch out in Chinatown with the girls.

Protein cinnamon crunch cereal and a bunch of ripe fruit.4 -
I didn't eat much of dinner I cooked for the hubby because I was still full from lunch out with the girls. Browned some sous vide char siu pork tenderloin from the freezer in the air fryer, made some gravy from the liquid in the sous vide bag, sauteed white cabbage with Chinese sausage and made Sichuan smashed cucumber.

Grass fed beef stir fry over rice.

Our best-yet smoked turkey. I always get turkeys from my store for 0.29 cents a pound after Thanksgiving and we save and smoke them as desired. We nailed the spices and cooking time this time!8 -
Pan fried sea bass, hasselback new potatoes, two types of Sichuan salad (blanched courgette and smashed cucumber).
7 -
Bought lunch at work today: kimchi tofu stew. Good but not as spicy as I expected it to be.5 -
Did a Costco run tonight so picked up a pack of their St Louis ribs. They were good tonight. Added some leftover (fried) mashed potatoes from the freezer, corn and cherry tomatoes.

Duck tacos with mango, clementine, slaw, salad, coriander, pickled red onion, mole sauce. Roasted chicory on the side. First time I tried store bought corn tortillas and they are not as good as homemade. Will probably turn the rest of the packet into microwave tostadas or totopos.

Air fried lamb chop coated in za'atar. Side of tri color pearl couscous with tomatoes, feta, basil, Kalamata olives and olive oil.
5 -
Dinner was a bit decadent calorie wise. Tempura sea bream and green beans with dipping sauce, asian slaw, rice.
