185 lbs to 145 lbs
I'm 51yrs old, and this is the first year in decades that Lose Weight is NOT one of my New Year's resolutions. In addition to MFP, I've focused on strength training 3x/wk with some cardio sprinkled in as the mood strikes.
Im still a work in progress but lost 250+ lbs

I am in total awe of your dedication and stamina to do this amazing transformation! You are beautiful in that dress. Keep the faith and you will reach any goal you want. Best wishes to you!2

Lost the weight from 2012 to 2018 by taking up running and monitoring what I ate, of course. Ran four full marathons and then at the time of the 2018 pic quit running and took up hypertrophy (body building) training. Not super happy with the amount of muscle I put on but I'll be 56, tomorrow, so I suppose building muscle like someone in their late 20s isn't in the cards. #crylaugh48
You got this! You look great and your hard work is paying off!0
@metrini every once in a while, we need a SUPER Inspirational button.
You would be it, girl.
In fact, in that dress, you are an It Girl.
(That was a serious compliment when I was a kid.)10
@springlering62 Awww thank you very much!! You got me blushing here!!!
@FABRICWOMAN Thank you very kindly!
@crazyhorse8 Thank you Thank you!5
Started my latest journey last April (this hasn't been my first rodeo with weight loss) at 241 lbs and was taking 2 diabetic medications. I've since lost 49 lbs and now weigh in at 192, the lightest I've been since I was 15 years old, and I now take zero diabetic medications.
@double_zee So, so impressed! Totally awesome!4

Awesome work, and I'm feeling that last bit! 53 myself and currently rehabbing from shoulder surgery after popping a bicep tendon at the gym in October. A decent set of prosthetics (2 hips, 1 shoulder, 3 cervical discs) don't help either. Trying to find that hypertrophy sweet spot without injuring myself is a tight rope to walk.

Friendly neighborhood moderator here. First, let me say well done to everyone who has made progress and has been brave enough to share that progress publicly. :flowerforyou:
Second, when you share a photo, please remember to keep it workplace-friendly. Posts in the Community are public - that means your boss, your church friends, your co-workers, anyone can see everything you post. As much as they might really show progress, nude and underwear-only images are not allowed under our Community Guidelines.
There are many ways to show your amazing progress:
- Face selfies
- Images in workout clothes, so long as they're not super close-up
- Showing yourself in new clothes while holding "old clothes" as a comparison
- Showing your new self standing in the pant leg of your old pants
Here's the link to our Community Guidelines:
Thanks for your cooperation and keep up the amazing work. 💪👏🤩 Your efforts are inspiring, particularly to new members that join wanting to tackle New Year resolutions.
You don't have to be at the finish line for it to be a "success" story. The first pics are from when I was cycling only and is a before and after of about a years worth of progress from mostly 2019. The other pic is about a years worth of running and cycling, mostly during 2020. Not where I plan to be, but I believe in small steps getting you there.
