We got 5 inches of snow in Harrisburg area and my boots zipped up easier than last winter!18

My size 24X jeans keep sliding down. I can't keep them up. Time to try a smaller size if I still have some from last time I lost weight.19

It was way easier to stay in the downward dog position during yoga yesterday. It used to me my most hated one because it hurt my arms and it was so hard for me to stay in it but it's getting better to a point where I don't hate the pose as much anymore. Hoping "soon" it will be a comfortable pose to pause in.18

We got about 5-6 inches too.....and I was secretly excited to go out and shovel! I went out to dust the cars off so my hubbs could snow blow, but by the time he came out, I was 1/3 of the way done and said---never mind the snowblower, I GOT THIS.16 -
My husband said:
I set my stuff down in the garage to go get the trash cans and I look through the door and I’m like … we’ll there’s my wife back! She looks just like when we met! ❤️❤️21 -
My NSV: It took me 2 YEARS to read through this entire thread (a few pages at a time, with a break now and then), but I finally reached the latest post! I couldn't comment or post myself because it would lose my place and I would never find it again. And I wanted to read every single one.
(By the way, reaching the COVID/quarantine posts that were written just before and as we first experienced everything was quite surreal...)
And my other NSV: COVID kicked my butt, more specifically my lungs, and I used it as an excuse to get lazy. Gained back too much weight. But I'm back at it again. Even took the dog for a super long walk today and yesterday despite ridiculously cold temps and wind (that still make my lungs burn more than a year later).
Also, I saw another person walking. They were quite large, but their clothes were hanging on them almost comically, and their body moved in a way that told a story of excess skin. I silently cheered for them and yelled, "You go with your awesome self!"... in my head, because that would have been weird out loud.
Now, I will patiently wait for more NSVs to show up. You all go with your awesome selves!29 -

Back pain has lessen and I can finally reach around my back to pull my arms from my sleeves from my coat.16

I went to the gym on Saturday, it was my first time in AGES (covid got me again over xmas so I couldn’t go anywhere). I went even though I didn’t really want too, and though it was raining! Here’s to starting up good habits again13

Next time go ahead and YELL... You never know how amazing and motivated that would make them feel.

Today I recognized that I want all the carbs as a result of the current recovery stage of covid ( a normal recovery stage for me for any bug). All the carbs usually results in the mindless munchies winning, but because I recognized it early, I am just being more cognizant of what goes in my mouth. The NSV part is recognizing why I want all the carbs and not just letting myself eat whatever.13

At Orange Theory, there are days when the workout is with partners. As an example, the time it takes for me to row 150 meters, my partner needs to be doing jump squats. The slower I am, the more jump squats my partner needs to do. I used to be self conscious about being so slow. Yesterday...I wasn't the least bit concerned. I not only kept up, but was stronger than many people younger than I am.15

I'm working out again. Traveling, snow, and vet appointments caused a hiccup in my routine. My NSV is that I didn't let a 10 day slump turn into a 2 month slump.13

A couple NSV's from the past week:
-Put on my old winter coat that I couldn't button all the way last year and it not only buttons, but has extra room.
-I can now roll my shoulders and see my clavicle appear like magic!
-Possibly TMI, but I went to scratch 'down there' and realized that there's all this extra room in that area because my thighs and belly have shrunk so much.
-Can comfortably sit 'gargoyle-style' on the couch and can lay any way I want on the lounger (with pillows!) and still be comfortable.13 -
NSV: Just directed by my doctor to cut back on one of my diabetic meds!25

It was cold, dark and drizzly by the time I’d finished work and I realised I’d forgotten my gym card so had to go home first to get it.
My first NSV is that I got to the gym rather than using the excuse to stay at home under a blanket.
My second one is that I ran for 30 minutes despite feeling like my legs were made of lead. I told myself I’d just do 20 minutes but then pushed on to finish my full Zombies Run mission.
I’m under that blanket now though 🙂29 -
Even though it was cold outside and my bed was warm and I stayed up too late, I pulled off the covers at 5:20 and went for a quick run with my dog.21

Realizing I can now shop at thrift stores & find things in my size! That has been huge.
I was able to get some winter coats for very little money that fit! I've gone shopping at thrift stores with thinner friends my entire adult life & watched them leave with piles of clothes for what I'd spend on two pieces while I couldn't find anything that fit that I'd wear. I had to stop myself from really diving in & coming out with more than I went shopping for!
And target. Target clothes fit. I'm getting a medium/large when for decades I couldn't fit into anything they carried outside of the occasional maternity dress.27 -
I'm one week back into logging my food (this is MFP round 3 or 4 for me) and my nemesis has always been sweets. For this entire week, I have been under my sugar recommendation, and I'm NOT craving candy all the time!
My family has a history of diabetes, so I feel like this is a tiny step towards avoiding that result for myself.
Also, I'm on a rec kickball team, and we went out on Friday night. They got hammered while I only had 2 Bud Light seltzers. When we had practice Saturday morning I was energized and ready to go, instead of fighting a hangover like my teammates were.18 -
I fit into size 14 pants and a large top. I turned 50 this year and I haven't worn this size since my early 20s. I actually couldn't believe it. When I first went shopping I still went to the plus-size section and was excited to be able to try on a size 16, since a year ago I was wearing a 24/26, only to find out it was to big. I almost started crying right there in the dressing room. Instead, I said a quick prayer of thanks and did a happy dance instead when the size 14 fit.24
