My understanding is Delta is still going around so we would still need to wear the masks for those. I think Delta is more dangerous.
@retiredandlovingit Did you decided on a meal plan yet? Isn't being home a great feeling? Yaaay on gd.
oh no about you not feeling good. I laughed at you still staying around dh.
@gemwolf110 Did you decide on 2022 goals? I can't remember if you told us. I'm glad you got to relax some and see family.
@renaegry Ouch on your calf. I know all about slow going. I was just thinking the other day my foot was better and I'm on the mend and then the next day both feet started hurting. I'm better today though. So I hope you heal quickly and can get back to doing what you want to do. How is the food plan? I like our nail polish and tattoo.

Morning all. Back at it today. New year reset. Going to be slow at it. Did this last week. Was stepping backwards off of our back step clearing snow in the -35C coming from a warm vehicle and I seriously pulled my calf. So I couldnt walk for a few days. Then Started limping around. Went shopping yesterday and obviously over did it cause my leg is aching today. So will do some stuff. But don’t think I will be able to hit the treadmill. Was hoping to do a slow walk on it.
That looks painful hope you heal soon0 -
Afternoon all, just a quick pop in...Company still here...their flight was cancelled due to weather and they can't get out until next Tuesday. Learning to adjust. lol. I haven't even gotten on the scales. I have to do that tomorrow!
@trooworld I hope you feel better quickly and hope it's not Covid, but if it is...well then you can move on.
@TeresaW1020 I am glad your DH surgery went well. I will pray the morphine does it's job.
@theslightedgeforever Glad to see you keeping the conversations going while I live company..LOL.
@gemwolf110 Glad you got to recharge and relax.
@renaegry ouch!! Feel better soon...

Morning all, I couldn't sleep this morning, so I have been up for hours..made cinnamon rolls ( can) and making homemade white bread, it's in the bread machine kneading..LOL Once that's done, let it rise, and then bake in the oven...then in 15 min it will all be gone...no not by me..even though I wish. It is so cold here, I did go on a short bike ride yesterday. Trying to get my goals before me and not let company take them all. LOL
@trooworld Covid is going around to lots around here...I pray you don't have it, but if you do, you are already half way through..LOL. Unfortunately lots of people here have it...it's crazy. Even though I have had it, I still want no part of being around people who do. I still can't smell...and I had a VERY SENSITIVE nose before...drove my family crazy..

@cbabie I'll have company next week. My sil is coming for a week. Better not bring covid with her. I've already got my exercise plan in mind. I'll do it upstairs. She will be sleeping downstairs and if she sees me she will start talking and then I'll never do it. So I'm going to tell her I'll be ready to visit with her at 8 once I fix breakfast. That way I'll get in my exercise and my journal/meal time in. I read today a lady still doesn't have her sense of smell back and it's been one year. Hopefully you'll get it back before then. I'd rather lose sense of smell than taste. Did you need more sweets in the house?
Hopefully they will all be gone so you won't get into them. I can't make homemade bread here or I'll eat it slice by slice. Only if it's soft white. Yaaaay on your bike ride. You are putting yourself first. I'm ready for cold weather to be over.
@trooworld I hope you feel better. Good news is you aren't eating a lot. So maybe you can squeak out a bit of weight loss for all your trouble. Yeah tests are hard to come by I hear. Oprah is now saying, You get covid and You get covid and you get covid. I heard Stephen Colbert had someone on his show last night that was giving good explanations about it. It's supposed to be on youtube. I haven't watched it yet. I feel sorry for non covid patients that need the ERs and hospitals.

Hi all..quick note. @trooworld hope you get the test done & it is negative. I did do a telemedicine & didn’t even need to ask if I needed the tests. He set it up & 10 minutes later I was at the clinic getting them done. Found the influenza result online & it was Negative. Still waiting to hear about COVID. Just looked online & not there yet. I really don’t feel bad…just the darn cough! He did give me a pill to stop the cough & today hardly do that either. & my temp is back to normal at 97, even tho it only went to 98, lol. Hoping for a negative..maybe it is just that bad cold.
@cbabie…oooh, homemade bread sounds so good! Cold here, too….just said 8 degrees, lol. It is sooo windy last night & today.
@TeresaW1020 Hope your dh still doing well after surgery!
Gd had follow up appt & Dr pleased with her progress. She is hoping PT will let her wear heels so she can start doing Show Choir soon.
Hope everyone has a safe healthy week.0 -
Morning all. @trooworld glad to hear your test was negative. Having a cold sucks thou. We have a whole bunch of rapid tests at home so when feeling under the weather can self test to see.
Weight is really dropping with just getting back to eating better. Went from 164 to 159.6. Pretty happy with that.
Calf is Slowly getting better. Still taking it easy. Just did a 10 min ab workout. Still hoping to get back to full workouts treadmill and LIIFT4 next week.

@retiredandlovingit Hopefully your test will be negative also and just a bad cold. Nowadays you can't be sure. What kind of PT is gd doing for the heels. I need to get back into heels. My son would tell me google it. LOL What did you end up deciding on the mealplan?
@trooworld So happy it's just a bad cold. No lasting effects. Why are they letting you do self testing? That doesn't seem like it would be accurate like you say. Maintaining is a good thing. No hole to dig yourself out of. I'm trying to stay out of the cold because then I'll end up coughing with my reactive airway disease. I guess I could put a scarf around my mouth when I'm not drinking my hot drink. I just like sitting out in the morning with blankets wrapped around me and listening to the birds. Yaaay on more energy.
@renaegry Woohoo on your weight loss. What is your ultimate goal? You know how to lose the weight so how long before you go into maintenance mode?

@renaegry Yikes that is a nasty bruise. I’m glad that your calf is getting better. Congrats on your awesome weight loss!
@RetiredAndLovingIt I hope you feel better and that your Covid test is negative. There are sooo many people sick with either Covid or something else icky. I’m thankful that I haven't come down with anything after being in and out of the hospital all week.
@trooworld Yay on just having a cold and an even a bigger yay that you are feeling better. Yeah, I imagine a lot of people aren’t swabbing their nose right. I remember how far they shoved that thing up my nose when I had the test done. I sure wouldn’t have done that to myself.
Hello everyone! Well, DH finally came home late afternoon yesterday, and we are both so happy to not be in that hospital room. The surgery went much better than I had expected but the mental confusion and bodily functions that my husband has been suffering from were not something I had expected. I suddenly found myself not feeling like his wife but more like his caregiver. We had a very long night last night with him up every hour but today he is physically and mentally so much better and I am so thankful for that! We are facing chemo in a couple of months and are unsure what to expect with that but will deal with it when we have to. Right now, I just want to rest and for us, both to recover our energy. This past week I gained almost 5 freaking pounds! But I’m not beating myself up and have basically called today my New Year and tomorrow I will start the Marty Kendall Macro Masterclass challenge. I’m looking forward to it keeping me mindful and motivated.

@trooworld Yay..glad you got your result & it was negative! Glad you are feeling better, too. I am still waiting for my result!! I am beginning to think they must have lost it. But I am a lot better, too, so I am pretty sure mine was just a bad cold, too.0
-
@TeresaW1020 Yay for your hubby being home. I think surgery always causes some mental confusion when we are not so young anymore, but glad he is doing better. I’ll bet the 5# are probably water weight from different food & the stress of this week. You’ll get it back off.
@renaegry. Ooh, that bruise looks painful! Hope it is getting better.
@theslightedgeforever I don’t know if she is doing PT specifically for the heels…more just to get her hip healed & moving like it should…then she may get the heels again. Dd said tonight that she will be allowed to wear her jazz flats for Show Choir performance & walk on stage when they do a ballad, since she is not cleared for all the choreography yet. I am glad…she would have been so disappointed to not being able to do it at all after making it on the team. No, haven’t figured out my plan yet…just been taking it easy to get over the cough, then I’ll get busy. I really want to get back to my treadmill walking again. I did go over my food logs for the last few months, so think I have a pretty good idea of my calorie limit for reasonable loss based on that.
Took down all the Christmas decorations today..looks pretty bare around here, lol. I love Christmas decorations!
Have a good weekend!!0 -
They finally posted it to my account..both the Influenza & COVID tests were negative. Yay!1
-
@trooworld and @RetiredAndLovingIt Glad to hear your tests were negative! The flu and colds are going around like crazy. My mom, dad, stepmom and step dad all have flu and bad cold. All tested negative last I heard. More and more people I know have tested positive. Some are okay others had a rough time. One person that I know but not very close to unfortunately passed. :-(
Anyways hope everyone is having a good weekend and anyone that is sick recovers and feels better soon!0 -
@trooworld I’m glad that you are feeling better! You will have to show us a pic of Daisy wearing her new bandana.
@gemwolf110 Look at all that snow and the dogs look completely comfortable out in it.
@RetiredAndLovingIt I’m glad that your tests came back negative. I know that is a huge relief for you. It’s always a shock to me how bare my house looks after I put up all the Christmas. I’m a minimalist most of the year and during the holidays, I’m a glittery hoarder.
Hello! Not too much going on here today. DH and I had a much better night and got some good sleep. His pain level is still high but is slowly improving. We of course didn't go to church and watched it on live stream. Our pastor gave an update from the stage on DH since he is the financial director and today they voted in this year's budget. I had several ladies reach out wanting to bring us food. Such good Baptist women! I declined because I don't need fattening casseroles in my house! For the first time in over a week, I went in and had a good workout. It did wonders for my mood and something I’ve really been missing. My eating has been great and I’m really working on this macro challenge and following all the steps. This weight is coming off!!

Snow is already gone. Snow dogs aren’t too happy about that. Hopefully we get more soon.1 -
Well hubby gone back to work for 10 days. Can get more on point now. Yesterday was a busy day just around the house. Just about got in 10K steps and calf is feeling alright. So going to try the treadmill today for 30 min for a nice walk. Hoping can go at least 3.6mph. Followed by a quick ab workout Then will fill the day with book work, need to treat and change hot tub filters and son has a 7:30 hockey game tonight. So the day should go by quickly and will be a late night.
Hope everyone is getting over their colds and is doing well.0 -
I am busy with my sil. She's been here since Friday. No time for the computer or to just sit and think. I have been staying OP though and getting in my exercise each morning before she wakes up. She will leave on Friday afternoon and then I'll be back to normal. Yaaay
I think @cbabie is still dealing with company too.1 -
Calf is sore today from doing the treadmill yesterday. So will take it easy today. Going to do Week 1 back and bicep circuit from LIIFT4. Don’t think i can bounce around doing the HIIT portion of a workout. Will stick to the circuits for a week. Don’t want to jump in to fast and hurt calf more then it is1

Morning all, I am so sorry I have not been here, but I have been living out of my 3 years bedroom for 3 weeks. Company is gone, getting house back in order and cleaned. I am working on my goals for this year. Feels like my year is just starting and we are 3 weeks into it. LOL. The good news is that I didn't gain from my last WI. I have maintained...now to get working on the losing part. I pray everyone is doing okay. I have read though most of the comments and trying to play catch up. I am just going to start fresh today.

Morning, I didn't track yesterday...yesterday was an emotional day...my daughter has been fighting her ex for almost 8 years for enforcement of him to pay anything..I won't go into the details, but It's just OLD. So today I start again focusing on my health. I know you can't change what you don't see or know..if you don't track, you don't see or know.
@trooworld thanks for the welcome..I love your phrase for the year... soot's my mood right now. LOL. I heard something yesterday on the drive to the lawyers...it was about the things people say when they know you are hurting..well intentional friends. LOL....The one that was said, was one that really helped this person and here is what her friend said to her. I see your hurt and I am here for you. It seems all of us are going through something in this life, so I am trying to focus on how I can keep healthy in SPITE of all these things. The hard part is watching someone you love be hurt, so that's my new phrase...I see your hurt and I am here for you. I am sorry your BIL is still in the hospital..I am glad you will using that time in a positive way.. All my goals seem to be..ugh I forgot about that..LOL So WELCOME to 2022..
Cbabie0 -
@trooworld Yippee on your weight loss. I take it any way I can. lol Another day of sticking to your plan. Good for you. Why not do a weekly review of your goals at the end of each week to see what your wins were, what do you need to keep doing, improve, start doing, and stop doing. I am much more focused consistently when I do this each week. I make a big production of it. Light a candle, turn on some soft jazz and just sit with myself and allow myself to process the week and plan ahead the next week. Noting where I'm going to have obstacles that I need to work through, etc. Yaaay on tracking.
@reneagry I hope your calf gets better soon. I had to modify my exercise because I can do aerobic type "walking" and dancing but not actually walking without it hurting my foot. I'm going to try again maybe tomorrow and see if I'm better enough to walk the mall like hubby and I like to do on Saturdays.
@cbabie Good job on maintaining while company was at your house. Now back to taking care of yourself.
I had bookclub last night at MY house. So I spent most of the day cooking yesterday. We discussed 1984. I still have some sweets I need to get out of the house. I'm going to slice and freeze the blueberry coffee cake I made. It was really good.

@cbabie Welcome back! I feel the same way, I have started my goal planning but have not made it very far. Congrats on maintaining. I'm glad you are back.
Hi all. I've managed to track every day since Monday. That is a step in the right direction. I'm going to try to work on my goals tonight while my hubby is at the hospital. I want to put some effort into them and have them be a roadmap rather than something I look back on at the end of the year and say, "Huh, I forgot about those".
My phrase for the year: "I take no crap and eat no crap."
Same my goals are something I’m avoiding lol but need to do0 -
Hey everyone! Sorry that I haven't been around much. This week has been really busy. Hubby is doing better and healing from his surgery, but he is having a harder time than we had expected. Today he informed me that it's time I take over the household accounts and take care of our money. Yikes! I haven't had to worry my pretty little head about that stuff since we have been together and now I get to do it the same week I take over the church's finances. OK!! I also found out last week that my pastor has Parkinson's.
So, we are all going to sink or swim as we navigate these new normals. My weight was down some this week and I'm doing my best to not cave in to the junk food and eat my protein and behave. I might not be around as much right now but I will do my best to pop in and read your posts and reply when I can.

Afternoon all, I did track yesterday, didn't exercise though. It's kind of a take deep breaths day..LOL
@theslightedgeforever glad your book club went well, you were always the social lite...ME not so much. Blueberry, YUM I bet it was good.
@TeresaW1020 So sorry for all you are having to handle right now. You DH really cares about you and that is awesome. He sounds like someone who tries to plan for the future. I hope you navigate well these unchartered waters....Sounds like you have a map and good side kicks. LOL. Even though you are not here we will be thinking about you and keeping you guys in our prayers. (there is this song that keeps going through my head, maybe because of what is going on in my life, but I think you might resinate too!! Even when I don't see you working, you never stop working, you never stop working, even when I don't feel you working, you never stop working, you never stop working. That is who you are..that is who you are. Way maker miracle worker, promise keeper light in the darkness, my God, that is who you ARE...)
@trooworld Great graphic. I think you are working your plan..great job. I can see you doing Van Gogh...You are so talented.
@gemwolf110 I think we are all trying to get started this year. I have faith we will all do it.
Cbabie1 -
@trooworld We have had the Beyond Van Gogh in Atlanta and I have several times said how I would love to go. Your pictures are awesome! And to have Miles Davis jazz playing. How cool is that!
@cbabie I love Way Maker so much! One of my favorite songs, so thanks for putting it in my mind. I’m sure I will be singing it the rest of the day.
Good morning! Right now, we have icy rain and high winds. I’m sitting in front of my office window at home just waiting to see the first snowflakes start to fall. We are hopeful for at least one to two inches. The news is showing trees down and I hate that because some are falling on people’s homes. We did cancel church for today and we are planning on just hanging out for the next couple of days. I hurt my back yesterday playing with Maggie, so no working out today, but my eating is on point. I’m still doing the macro challenge and this week is all about prioritizing protein and keeping it the highest number over carbs and fats.

@gemwolf110 So why have you been avoiding your goals? lol
@teresaw1020 Yikes. what a week you've had. I hope you find some peaceful times here and there to regroup. New routines are hard at first. But you will conquer it like you do everything else. yaaay on your weight being down.
@trooworld I love your YouTube pic. I'm going to steal those questions, too. I love Van Gogh. I really would have liked that exhibit. My Kindle cover used to be "The Starry Night". ooh jazz music too. My kind of stuff.
@cbabie In a way I'm a socialite but at the same time a hermit. If that's possible. I love my alone time to recharge and just stick to my routine. I get kind of anal with my routine if it's not followed properly. lol I was reading the words of your song thinking what a sad song.Just cause you used to be that doesn't mean you have to be that forever.

Hi all… cough has been gone for a week, now today I feel like I have a cold. Don’t really feel bad..if I had a rapid test, I would probably take it. But don’t really want to call Dr again…don’t want to sound like a hypochondriac, lol. Guess I’ll see how it feels tomorrow.0

Morning/afternoon all, I didn't track over the weekend, I didn't even go to church yesterday. I am trying today to get back into my routines. I did maintain again, so now I just have to jostle the number and make it go down.
@trooworld loved the pictures, you take great pictures ( good camera). LOL jk. You really do post great pictures. So glad you enjoyed your outing.
@theslightedgeforever Sure it's easy to understand...you have a split personality..
@TeresaW1020 So sorry that you hurt your back...and I really don't like the snow, hence I live in the south...LOL.
@gemwolf110 Don't be ascared..LOL

Morning all, I did track yesterday and it wasn't pretty, but TRACKED!!! I kept busy yesterday too..LOL.
Not much else to report.
@trooworld Glad that your pup is doing okay, even though she isn't feeling well...but who would feel well after surgery. LOL. Great job for cooking yesterday.
