Back again, it's me!
Thunder's bumblin' outside, been a gray, drippy day, and it's starting to come down heavy now. So I took a nap this afternoon for nearly three hours. I think the new medication was part of that. Will know more if it happens again tomorrow!
Took my office/sewing/dining room apart this weekend with Corey's help (I ended up with 6,000 steps, which is great). Rearranged everything to make more sense and have more table space. Below are the before and after shots and a peek at the remaining bins I need to get sorted which are all in the living room and kitchen still.
As the old joke goes, "How do you eat an elephant?" "One bite at a time." As you can see by the right-hand "after" picture, the dropdown ladder is the only access to the attic, and anything I put there must be situated to leave space for the attic stair when it's opened. Still figuring that one out. There are a lot of bins to move back in!
I was totally shirking that by taking my nap. I'm OK with that.

All the bins that were stored in that room are shown here - each one has to be weeded through and the contents kept, thrown away or donated.

(((Allie:))) — You are just the right Grandma to visit now and then & go on a treat/date to have individual time with each grandchild so mom can get a little rest. You will be creating happy memories without exhausting your self. ❤️0

Allie - by April 4th he may have grown out of it. I know other people who have had the same problem and it doesn't last for ever. People go in for car drives, vacuum cleaner noise, endless walking etc. You need a village to take care of a baby. Just anyone to take them for a walk around the neighbourhood while the mother rests. It doesn't last for ever. Sending hugs.
I don't know what you call them in the US, but has he got a dummy? Pacifier? Plus a comforter. Each of my grandchildren had a transitional object. Max an elephant, Edie a rabbit and Bea a monkey. Transitioning from the womb is soooo hard. With mine , my eldest had the worst colic, but it disappeared at 3 months. A lot of pacing.
This too shall pass.

Allie, - I can empathize with you about baby colic. I used a baby hot water bottle for my colicky son with some success back in the day. Also carried him in a Snugli a LOT. I was really glad when he outgrew it.

Katla - my DH should have been wearing a medic alert bracelet for years but refuses to. I understand how you “hope” that you DH will wear one. I don’t know why people can be so stubborn.
Barbara - my manager doesn’t need to do anything with this document except read it. I have explained it to her every time though. The problem is she is such a micromanager that I think the stress is causing her to have issues. She doesn’t concentrate on one task or concern at a time and keeps getting them mixed up. However, she believes she is a great multitasker and has a great memory. I am actually a bit concerned about her health.
Sorry the knee wouldn’t let you go through a day without giving out.
Lisa - DH and I haven’t eaten in a restaurant since Jan 2020. I have with my youngest daughter in the last couple of months though.
I hope your daughter has a lawyer that will fight for her.
Terri - I’ve often wondered about locked phones too. I don’t keep mine locked.
Pip - 10 years congratulations!
Machka - I love you dry stream. I think I would enjoy something like that. I have no interest in putting the work into it though. I don’t find gardening peaceful at all. It does remind me of many loved ones though.
Heather - love the poem
Allie - my eldest suffered terribly from colic. She was formula fed. My Aunt told me that one of her grandchildren had the same issue and that they gave him whole milk. I was surprised and didn’t think I would try it, until the middle of the night one night and desperation set in. I called my MIL and asked her opinion. She didn’t think it would hurt. Against my doctors wishes I switched her to whole milk and all of our issues disappeared. I tried gripe water too never helped much.
I feel for Tracy, it’s hard.
Yesterday while wasting time scrolling through FB I saw a post about a photography studio from my hometown selling old files from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I sent an email last night asking about buying files of my parents wedding, my baby photos and a set taken of my brother and I when he was young. They responded this morning asking for the years I thought they might be and told me they will get back to me in a few days. They had a huge response to their post so it will take time to get through them all.
It will be nice if I’m able to get some. I have most of my parents wedding pictures, but some are in poor shape.

Debbie— DH has put on a bracelet that has the medic alert symbol. He had it for 30 years, and it is doing its job today.
dad and mom had/have the pendent that is connected to LifeAlert. It works well for them. Neither had any real health issues(did did have a slight heart problem but that is it)
Went to Zumba tonight- didn't push it but did feel good to move a little. Time for another breathing treatment- #4 for today again- going to grab a hot shower first I think.
Trying to find if it is better to do hot shower then treatment or do a treatment then a hot shower. Can't find the answers. Someone posted hot showers can make asthma worse and for me, it works as well or better than my inhaler during an attack. Some say cold air helps, that makes mine so much worse- a major trigger for me.
Good night ladies.
Have a great Tuesday

Allie -- I can't find the post now where you asked about colic. All three of mine had it. What you have to remember is that there is nothing you can do about the crying. They are going to cry. Once you've checked if he is wet or hungry, if he still cries, you have two choices. One you just hold him and let him cry. Or you put him in his bassinet, and let him cry. I always preferred to hold mine, but I have had friends who had to just put them down and walk away. We had one neighbor who sat out in her car while the whole neighborhood could hear her baby crying. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to keep your sanity. It does go away with time. So as he gets older, his colicky periods will get shorter.
None of my kids took a pacifier either.

Our daughter has been here for several days because we are worried about DH. We will have a meeting at our local medical clinic on Wednesday. I found 2 medic alert items in DH’s closet. One was a necklace and the other was a bracelet. He’s wearing them now. Taking steps in the right direction, I hope.3
