3/18 - 145.5 - I had two Dr. appointments yesterday, so my husband and I ate lunch out in between. Then we celebrated some good biopsy reports for my husband along with St. Patrick's Day with some drinks. My weight might go up some more tomorrow, but that is OK. We enjoyed ourselves yesterday.
3/19 - 144.5 - I'm a little surprised. The scale may have been off this morning but I was in a hurry to get to work and didn't mess around with it. My work lunch will be catered today, so I will make good choices and hope the weight stays for tomorrow.

I didn’t check in yesterday. Almost skipped it today. I am in the throws of a very bad cold that has moved into my eyes. Gross. Dr. thinks it is a bacterial infection, so I am on an antibiotic. Sleep has been terrible.

Have not lost my appetite, Ha!

Enjoying March Madness. A couple of my favorite teams got through round one. Iowa State and Illinois.

As I write, my Brother-In-Law is undergoing (and I am praying about) open heart surgery to repair a couple heart valves. One of them is a re-repair after a lot of years. I think he got his money’s worth on that one. This all has involved the participation of various barn-yard animals for the valve material.

3/18 – 138.2 Good day.

3/19 – 137.4 Those quick weight loss kicking in. Tracked another day fully, though choices we not perfect. I adjusted my day as it went on. Worked out acceptably. I did not let a couple bad choices cause more bad choices. Yesterday, walked 7 miles at 7 am.

3/20 – 136.4 More of the quick loss. Fun to see, but I know they are not fat pounds. But hopefully, just that sensation will help with motivation and keeping my focus that I am struggling so much with. Yesterday, walked 6.5 miles at 7 am.

3/21 – 136.2 Yesterday, I did not walk, but went kayaking through the mangroves with my husband. Was quite the adventure, but glad we did it. Apple watch claims that I burned a ton of calories, though I personally think that it was an over estimation. Consequently, I purposely did not aim to use all those “activity” calories. Eating is much improved and trying to maintain that focus until it starts becoming more natural again. BP check: 108/70 10:20 AM

3/22 – 135.6 I did a walk, but only 3.25 miles because I neglected to feed the cats before leaving the house and needed to get back to them. I did throw in 15 minutes of spin later on to try and compensate a little. I am also trying to get myself back using that machine from time to time like last year. The good news is that my husband is starting to use the spin bike as a helpful tool for him. Yay! So much better when a purchase supports more than one person in a home (he does use the elliptical and rower when we are home) Food went well enough. Got a little scattered. Started planned out, but then life happens, but I readjusted and those extra 15 minutes of spin earlier in the day kept me under my calorie goal. Scale liked me this morning.

Oh, and yesterday I adjusted Harry and Hans weights in my notes above because the initial notes were carry overs as I forgot to check them in properly at the beginning of the round. BP check: 94/67 10:21 AM (did twice, thought was error); 100/67 4 PM

3/23 – 135.4 Walked 6.7 miles yesterday. When I return up north in May, I will have to figure out how what exercise fits with my day and obligations up there. Key is to remember the “all or nothing” approach eventually leads to failure for me, as the “nothing” phase eventually happens when I hit a life stumbling block. I have to figure out how to best take care of me at any given point in time. BP check: 101/67 6:30 AM Note: I have been meaning to periodically check my BP since I had a high number at my physical in January.

3/24 – 134.8 Same 6.7 mile walk. Went out to eat again, but planned ahead and pre-tracked my food. Had a delicious but smart appetizer and then a second delicious but smart appetizer as my entrée. Had part of a cocktail (I am a lightweight as a drinker), and a cappuccino for dessert. I need to remember that this is a enjoyable way to dine. BP check: 95/65 right after today’s shorter walk & while typing 8:45 am

3/25 – 135.2 Did an early 5 mile walk. Entertained mid-day, so that directed more calories into the middle of my day than I have done the past few days. While I did consume more calories, I did eat under my daily calorie needs. Scale had an uptick. All good and fine as there is no way I lost three and a half pounds of body fat in 7 days. It’s the real pound losses that I ultimately want and they only come with time. It was fun while it lasted!!

3/18- 183.4 I was up earlier than usual, so that’s likely the reason for the uptick. I’m not worried about it at all. 72 net carbs, step goal hit, and Pelo ride done.

3/19-183.4 I’m okay with this. This week has been rough, as my youngest kid has the flu, DH has bronchitis, and I’m not feeling great myself. Still, I’m sticking to my plan! 67 net carbs and step goal hit.

3/20- 182.4 46 net carbs and step goal hit. Still recovering from this flu business, so it’s been a weekend of not doing much at all.

3/21-182.2 Pretty darn happy with my progress lately, despite not feeling well! We have a trip to Disney planned for the last week of April and now I’m really excited to see where I’ll be till then. 48 net carbs and step goal hit. Ready to rock this week!

3/22- 182.0 Another small loss, but still a loss! 59 net carbs and step goal hit. I’m getting close to feeling 100% better, just a little congestion left. Thank goodness!

3/23- 182.6 I’m guessing the uptick is from the Pelo ride last night. It’s been four days in between my last ride and last night’s ride, thanks to aforementioned sickness. 86 net carbs, steps hit, and Pelo ride done. Keep on trucking!

3/24- 183.6 Not sure the reason for the uptick, but whatever. I’ve taken a look at my Happy Scale app and noticed that this tends to happen- down every day for a week or so, then a few days spent in a little uptick or stagnant, but then I do move down again. So I’m not worrying. 80 net carbs and step goal hit.

3/25- 181.8 NEW LOW! Pretty psyched about that. 67 net carbs, steps hit, and Pelo ride done. Also, I bought a new pair of jeans yesterday. I have one pair I bought back in December that are a size 8, but last I tried them last week, they were just a little tighter than I like to wear them outside of the house. So I got a size 8 in the same brand and style, just a different color yesterday, and wasn’t sure they’d be quite loose enough to wear out of the house. Well… they fit! And I’m wearing them out of the house today!

03/18 …..198.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.2) TMI was helpful. Yesterday was not the best of days with left over Chinese and other things I could have done without. I did have more steps overall for the day.

03/19 …..xxxxx ….. Trend weight xxxxx) Up about 4 hours earlier than usual this morning and was guzzling coffee before I realized I forgot to weigh. A broken routine this morning in every way. It’s going to be a rough day with very little sleep.

03/21 …..198.0 ….. (Trend weight 198.3) My trend weight went down a touch and for that I am very happy. Up early posting this morning and then I will be doing a travel day which is much further than usual. I am picking up something from facebook marketplace which is between 3 and 4 hours away (each way). Taking my handyman and there will be lunch or dinner out mid-state. Lots of sitting today so I don’t expect it will be that great tomorrow on the scale, but I will just keep working on it.

03/22 .….. 199.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.4) Golden Corral during travel. I’ll aim for a slim day today.

03/23 …..198.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.5) One pound down today which is probably excess water from the travel/restaurant weight. I did okay yesterday diet-wise. I made some good choices but there is still lots of room for improvement.

03/24 …..198.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.6) No change today. Diet was okay until the snacking. Snacks lower in calorie but too many. However, I made an actual effort to get in my 10,000 steps and I am proud of the progress there. Getting in movement and exercise has been almost impossible and had definitely made my efforts more difficult. Gotta eat so gotta burn calories every day!

Bit of a surprise. Went out for dinner and drinks last night. Didn't go crazy, but the tortilla chips and guac they got for the table were too tempting! And even shared some Gelato. One meal won't kill me.

Well, did not expect that! The scale flipped back and forth between 180 and 179.8 for a few seconds before it finally settled. That 7 feels weird. I can't believe I'm here.

I'm sore from ST yesterday and my tongue and lips feel puffy, so think it's water retention. Gonna drink lots of water today.

Body is teasing me again! Just a few ounces to get below 180. Oh well, it's something! 😄 Still well over my goal for this round so might not be a bad idea to slow down a bit.

Puffy again and hard workout yesterday. Got too cocky about hitting my round goal! 🤪

Trying not to be impatient about being up. Just feel like I should be further at this point. Rebound was likely after 2 big loss days. And I'm still doing just fine this round. 0.2 to go to hit my goal.. Stressing about it will help nothing. Just being hard on myself.

3/21 247.4 Lots of eating out with friends and family this weekend (today’s our 30th anniversary) so this jump is not unexpected despite making generally good choices. Hitting the water hard and being especially mindful of sodium intake for the next couple of days should help.
3/22 245.8 Coming back down. Great workout last night – knee strengthening and cardio. The Pollening has begun here, so outdoor activities will be curtailed for the next few weeks until that calms down. Meals are planned and logged and my water cup is full next to me!
3/23 245.6 Still headed the right direction. Actually back in the office today so I brought all my food with me. Meals are all logged.
3/24 245.4 Back to where I started the round. Now time to drop for a couple of days. Lots of stress at work for the next few days but I will do my very best to handle it in a healthy way.

3/25-170-Got to quilt with a wonderful bunch of ladies that make quilts for veterans. They have a work day once a month. Lunch was provided and we ate grilled hot dogs and t was nice and warm enough to sit outside. Came home and transplanted a bunch of seedlings......I’m getting there. My local garden club is trying to start a community garden and will have a plant sale fundraiser and I can donate some of them.

3/18 ~ 193.8 -16,000 and 113. SO is away for the week so these 10 days should go well with exercise better eating and meal planning. I've added my step goals. I am not physically ready to hit that but my brain is telling me its soon. Maybe after another 10 lbs.
3/19 ~ 193.1 - 18,200 and 127. It’s a slow start to the day. It’s the only sunny day this week and I don’t know how to spend it, but it will include coffee and a walk. Hope you all have sunny days today. ☀️
3/20 ~ 192 - 37,000 and 274. Big walk and a long hot bath after. Probably a dehydrated weight this morning. Probably be a low key day today.
3/21 ~ 192.2 - 19,000 and 92. Spent the day shopping and a small walk. SO is headed back home early so will see how the meals go. Super excited that Spring is here although rain is in the forecast for days!!
3/22 ~ 192.5 - 10,600 and 62. Was tired yesterday and forgot my chicken and salad dressing in my lunch. I can do dry salad but I added lots of kale to this one, kale really needs dressing!! Found a protein bar in my desk so I did have calories. SO made it home and too was very tired from his long drive. Ok Tuesday... I got this!! Have a wonderful day all.
3/23 ~ 192.2 - 16,700 and 108 mins. Walked home from work. Still a little tired but it may be this drizzly weather. Still have kale in my salad but remembered my dressing!! Happy Hump Day!!
3/24 ~ 192.3 - 14,400 and 99 mins. Sushi for dinner chose well sashimi a salad and a couple pieces of salmon nigiri. BUT SO wanted to go out for dinner it was a little early so he suggested a small walk. The weather had just cleared and it was a great evening. Also my reading goal is a work in progress, I am enjoying a relaxing tea in the evening just need to pick up that book.

3/25 ~ 192.1 - 12,900 and 89 mins. Another small walk before dinner with SO. Busy weekend ahead with an out of town visit. Want to get my steps in have to figure out how I can make that work. Especially because its a family dinner and who knows what's on the menu. Will have some dessert though. Happy Friday!!

3/18- 190 (-1.4) I’m not sure I can trust this, but I’m thrilled!! Down 74.1 pounds since May. Almost at 75!! I’m swimming today. Thirty pounds to go to hit my goal weight and then I’ll figure out if that’s a good place for me.
3/19- 190 (-1.4) It was good to get in the pool yesterday. I have dinner tonight with a friend I haven’t seen for a very long time, so I’ll have that as my indulgence meal this week, so I’ll be bumping up tomorrow. I can’t believe I’m almost in the 180’s. This week, perhaps?
3/20- 191.4 (0) Enjoyed spending time with my friend yesterday. The bump is expected and I’m looking forward to a new low later this week. It’s spring here in Colorado and I’ll soon be back hiking with my sister once the snow melts. I can’t wait.
3/21- 191.4 (0) A quiet day today just doing art business related work. These are the days where it’s a little tough for me to stay on track. So I’ll do my best to stay focused and to drink all my water.
3/22- 190.6 (-.8) On my way back down. I swam my hour in the pool today, so hoping for a new low tomorrow.
3/23- 190 (-1.4) My scale fluctuated this morning and finally settled back on 190, which is still good. But I did see 189 for a millisecond.

3/24- 189.0 (-2.4) There it is. Officially 75.1 pounds down. I have less than 30 to go. My BMI has gone from 42 down to 30.5. Only .6 to go to get to the overweight category. I’ve been logging into MFP for 295 days in a row and started in this group on July 11th, 2021. Talk about being surrounded by like minded and inspiring people. Another busy day today with no organized exercise. Swimming tomorrow.
3/25- 189.2 (-2.2) As of yesterday, I’m in size 14 jeans. Yes, they are the stretchy ones, but most of them fit. What a fun surprise. So I went to Goodwill to buy size 12s in anticipation of being able to wear them in a month or two. Today is my indulgence meal. Hmmm….what am I hungry for?
