Day/Weight/Comment
3/18: 137.3 - Had my shingles shot the day before, but managed to get my workout and walk in despite feeling achy. Very high-end of calories eating, but still within target.
3/19: 137.6 - As I get closer to my goal weight, I have been eating closer to the top end of my calories. I’ll try not going all the way to the top to see if it will finally get me over the line. I have to say that I am enjoying the extra calories though.
3/20: 136.7 - Ate a little bit under calories - not intentionally - but was satiated and full. Normal exercise and sleep. I’ve now lost 35 pounds since when I started back with MFP on Sep 7, 2022 and have 1.7 pounds left to hit goal weight. About a third of my move calories yesterday came from trying on pants in my closet. End up donating a whole bunch, but don’t yet have the confidence to donate ALL my pants that are too big. One big win is that I fit into a pair of jeans that my daughter left behind in her room, and she’s never been above a size 6 in her entire life.
3/21: 136.9 - Good workouts yesterday along with good eating. I cooked up a couple of dishes over the weekend that should last a couple of days. It makes it easier to calorie count when I can just click on a couple of the “recent foods” boxes to log meals.
3/22: 136.9 - Ate to the very tippy top of my range. Normal workouts and sleep.
3/23: 137.3 - Normal workouts and normal eating and sleep.
3/24: 137.3 - Normal workouts and normal eating and sleep
3/25: 138.0 - Wow - really not happy with myself. I had a late evening binge again with food that really wasn’t that enjoyable. Since Sunday, been gaining weight just as I was soooo close to goal. Time to remember what got me here.
3/26: 136.7 - Okay, back to where I was almost a week ago. Good eating and a good workout.

Thank you! I find myself going through the feed every day and celebrating with everyone as they accomplish so many amazing things and feeling the pain we all go through when things are a struggle. It helps me keep my eyes on the prize.5 -

Day/Weight/Comment
3/18 / 171.6 / Poor sleep due to sickness. Have to get through a workday yet but otherwise just resting up the body. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend ahead!
3/19 / 170.6 / Lots of Netflix and reading here while I try to recover. The sun is out and the weather is beautiful so I'm bummed to be missing a great weekend. This too shall pass. Trying to get my body the time it needs to heal so I can hopefully get over this sooner rather than later.
3/20 / 167.4 / Still sick but that doesn't take away the shine that I reached my ultimate goal weight today that I set in early 2021. This weight represents the first time I've been in my normal BMI range in adulthood. I am so happy.
3/21 / 167.4 / Got through as much of my work day as I could and now it's back to bed for rest.
3/22 / 167.8 / Tested the waters with a very short (less than 1KM) walk. I feel like it'll be a while before I'm back to my regular activities. My husband is sick now too so it will remain a very slow week here.
3/23 / 168 / Another quiet day planned aside from work but I'm hoping to get up to over 1 KM of walking today and I'll see how I do. Salmon on the supper menu... yum!
3/24 / 168.4 / I think I'm turning the corner. Food was yummy today. I did a longer consecutive walk. Still don't feel up for much more than that but there is promise!
3/25 / 168.2 / Good vibes here today. Lots of nice walks in the sun, a busy hectic workday complete to get me through to the weekend... looking forward to the break.
3/26 / 166.8 / Going to try getting on the Peloton today for the first time this round after being sick - I am so darn excited! Funny what excites me now.. things have definitely changed but I'm happy exercise is such an important part of my life now!

3-21= 151.8 (t= 149.8) probably should have held off weighing for a few days to get a weeks worth of not enough walking, not enough water, a little too much food daily, a 7 hr car ride, not much TMI, etc out of my system. I know I did not eat 10,000 calories over maintenance to gain 3# of fat, so will just wait until it all clears out to see where I am really at. Also last round I was trying to eliminate dairy to see how it affects me and I didn't follow this when I was gone, so starting that again.

Goals: HIT.MY.STEP.GOAL!!! 10,000/day; <100 carbs/day; Pelo ride 2-3x/week; end the round lower than what I started it at.
3/18- 183.4 I was up earlier than usual, so that’s likely the reason for the uptick. I’m not worried about it at all. 72 net carbs, step goal hit, and Pelo ride done.
3/19-183.4 I’m okay with this. This week has been rough, as my youngest kid has the flu, DH has bronchitis, and I’m not feeling great myself. Still, I’m sticking to my plan! 67 net carbs and step goal hit.
3/20- 182.4 46 net carbs and step goal hit. Still recovering from this flu business, so it’s been a weekend of not doing much at all.
3/21-182.2 Pretty darn happy with my progress lately, despite not feeling well! We have a trip to Disney planned for the last week of April and now I’m really excited to see where I’ll be till then. 48 net carbs and step goal hit. Ready to rock this week!
3/22- 182.0 Another small loss, but still a loss! 59 net carbs and step goal hit. I’m getting close to feeling 100% better, just a little congestion left. Thank goodness!
3/23- 182.6 I’m guessing the uptick is from the Pelo ride last night. It’s been four days in between my last ride and last night’s ride, thanks to aforementioned sickness. 86 net carbs, steps hit, and Pelo ride done. Keep on trucking!
3/24- 183.6 Not sure the reason for the uptick, but whatever. I’ve taken a look at my Happy Scale app and noticed that this tends to happen- down every day for a week or so, then a few days spent in a little uptick or stagnant, but then I do move down again. So I’m not worrying. 80 net carbs and step goal hit.
3/25- 181.8 NEW LOW! Pretty psyched about that. 67 net carbs, steps hit, and Pelo ride done. Also, I bought a new pair of jeans yesterday. I have one pair I bought back in December that are a size 8, but last I tried them last week, they were just a little tighter than I like to wear them outside of the house. So I got a size 8 in the same brand and style, just a different color yesterday, and wasn’t sure they’d be quite loose enough to wear out of the house. Well… they fit! And I’m wearing them out of the house today!
3/26- 181.6 Slowly but surely…. 82 net carbs and step goal hit.7 -
@coblujay - Congratulations on hitting 75 pound weight lost goal!! Marvelous accomplishment indeed! You are rocking it! 😎4

Round 181 ( my 113th for me). Thanks @QuiltingJaine.
Need to knuckle down now and make each round count, DS's wedding is later this spring & I want to feel happy with myself on the day. Aim this round to be lower than the start, but a pound would be nice, concentrate on good food choices & think before I put anything in my mouth!! Also eat only half daily exercise calories back.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.SW: 138.8

Day/Weight/Comment
3/18 138.8 – 4.69 miles walked yesterday, childminding DGS, did eat more than I should, 2 days showing up on the scales. Getting back in the groove today. Liked the brief taste of success last round!!
3/19 138.8 – 9.95 miles, food could have been a lot better choices, need to keep at it !
3/20 139.2 – 13.76 miles walked, most of exercise calories eaten back, but good choices.
3/21 139.2 – 12.86 miles, a glorious spring day, heard & saw our first lark of spring yesterday, such a beautiful song! Ate back half of exercise calories.
3/22 138.4 – 11.41 miles walked, good choices, less than 10% exercise calories eaten.
3/23 137.6 – 8.36 miles walked, most of exercise calories eaten back due to lunch out with DS (3), main course very healthy, salad, egg, ham and small portion of new potatoes, but followed by small piece of homemade lemon drizzle cake mmm mmm mmm !! Today we meet up with our family to celebrate oldest DGS 4th birthday, the last 2 he "celebrated" in Covid lockdown, so it will be super to get together; meeting at a waterpark, all the little ones are excited (& some of the older ones!!) .
3/24 138.6 - 6 miles walked, a brilliant day yesterday, I thoroughly recommend Splash Landings at Alton Towers, we all felt like we were on holiday! DGC really enjoyed themselves as did us grown -ups!! I was a kid again!! Good food choices!! Just 136 calories over.
3/25 139.6 – 4.37 miles walked yesterday caring for little DGS, I lost the fridge argument this time & pigged out including 2 birthday cupcakes. Suffered all night as a consequence and feeling very tired today.
3/26 139.2 – 10.23 miles, two thirds of exercise calories eaten back, good choices.
I've just realised it is 7 weeks to DS wedding ! I need to sort mysel out! I can talk the talk easy, but find it harder than ever now to walk the walk!! My resolve melts before I even consider; I need to think about everything that goes in my mouth, just 1 pound a week will do it for me, that is doable, I just need to do it! Like I say it's so easy to talk the talk, but the time for action is now. I don't even have an idea of an outfit yet, it's going to be a very low key event, just very close family; DS is such a shy private person and hates to be the centre of attention, so I'm thinking just a very nice summer dress? And maybe a light summer jacket or even a really nice cardigan in case it is a cool day OK folks, yes that's an idea forming. I'm rising to the challenge, I want to feel happy with myself which for me will enhance the enjoyment of the day. Sorry for this long post, I'm going to read this every morning to inforce the mantra!!
3/27 139.2 - 14.3 miles walked yesterday, good food choices, less than 50% exercise calories eaten back. So surprisingly, I got my dress for the wedding; just stopped to look in a shop on the way back from our walk, & was so surprised to see something I liked & it fit, but I will still feel better if I lose 7 pounds or so. Just need to get either a jacket or posh cardigan in one of the colours that are in the flowers & a fascinator, shoes, handbag. But it's definitely a start. 2.2 pound gain this round – very disappointing, but hope it will give me the resolve to drive on. See you next round.
KEEP SAFE EVERYONE . Keep calm – Covid is still out there despite lifting of practically all restrictions, take care, remain vigilant we're still in this together!

Hi guys!! I’ve been doing this 10 day challenge on and off for years… last time I did it was almost 4 years ago though and it’s always really helped me. So I’m back, thanks for having me!!! I’ve gained 12lbs since the last time, so looking to get that back off & more.. but staying realistic.

The “boys”, AKA the cats, Harry and Han Solo, are going to get tracked once per round as well. Maybe this way I will not keep losing my data for them

Cats: Harry 10 lb 14 oz (down 1.5 oz - bad) Han Solo 11lb 10.5 oz (down .5 oz – good)
3/18 – 138.2 Good day.
3/19 – 137.4 Those quick weight loss kicking in. Tracked another day fully, though choices we not perfect. I adjusted my day as it went on. Worked out acceptably. I did not let a couple bad choices cause more bad choices. Yesterday, walked 7 miles at 7 am.
3/20 – 136.4 More of the quick loss. Fun to see, but I know they are not fat pounds. But hopefully, just that sensation will help with motivation and keeping my focus that I am struggling so much with. Yesterday, walked 6.5 miles at 7 am.
3/21 – 136.2 Yesterday, I did not walk, but went kayaking through the mangroves with my husband. Was quite the adventure, but glad we did it. Apple watch claims that I burned a ton of calories, though I personally think that it was an over estimation. Consequently, I purposely did not aim to use all those “activity” calories. Eating is much improved and trying to maintain that focus until it starts becoming more natural again. BP check: 108/70 10:20 AM
3/22 – 135.6 I did a walk, but only 3.25 miles because I neglected to feed the cats before leaving the house and needed to get back to them. I did throw in 15 minutes of spin later on to try and compensate a little. I am also trying to get myself back using that machine from time to time like last year. The good news is that my husband is starting to use the spin bike as a helpful tool for him. Yay! So much better when a purchase supports more than one person in a home (he does use the elliptical and rower when we are home) Food went well enough. Got a little scattered. Started planned out, but then life happens, but I readjusted and those extra 15 minutes of spin earlier in the day kept me under my calorie goal. Scale liked me this morning. Oh, and yesterday I adjusted Harry and Hans weights in my notes above because the initial notes were carry overs as I forgot to check them in properly at the beginning of the round. BP check: 94/67 10:21 AM (did twice, thought was error); 100/67 4 PM
3/23 – 135.4 Walked 6.7 miles yesterday. When I return up north in May, I will have to figure out how what exercise fits with my day and obligations up there. Key is to remember the “all or nothing” approach eventually leads to failure for me, as the “nothing” phase eventually happens when I hit a life stumbling block. I have to figure out how to best take care of me at any given point in time. BP check: 101/67 6:30 AM Note: I have been meaning to periodically check my BP since I had a high number at my physical in January.
3/24 – 134.8 Same 6.7 mile walk. Went out to eat again, but planned ahead and pre-tracked my food. Had a delicious but smart appetizer and then a second delicious but smart appetizer as my entrée. Had part of a cocktail (I am a lightweight as a drinker), and a cappuccino for dessert. I need to remember that this is a enjoyable way to dine. BP check: 95/65 right after today’s shorter walk & while typing 8:45 am
3/25 – 135.2 Did an early 5 mile walk. Entertained mid-day, so that directed more calories into the middle of my day than I have done the past few days. While I did consume more calories, I did eat under my daily calorie needs. Scale had an uptick. All good and fine as there is no way I lost three and a half pounds of body fat in 7 days. It’s the real pound losses that I ultimately want and they only come with time. It was fun while it lasted!! BP check: 100/68 9 am
3/26 – 135.6 did the 6.7 mile walk at a bit faster pace (group was smaller). Calories were good. No real explanation for the uptick. Often I can spot the cause and effect, but not for this one. All good.
Curiosity checks BP check 115/76 66 BPM at 6:15 AM
3/27 – 137.8 Ouch. Just shows how much of my recent loss is more related to retention than fat loss. Yesterday, was a mixed up day. It was hubby’s 61st birthday, plus I did not feel right most of the day (low BP – dropped after my 5 mile walk to 90/66 – mild headache that would not revolve) and I kept eating things to see if BP and headache would go away. I should have taken a nap, but I thought “I did not have time”, which I would have if I just did it right away instead of snacking. I then had some of the birthday foods I prepared for my husband (which I had planned to skip), fried veal cutlets and a cheesecake almond cone. Oh well, I weigh less than I started. On to the next round…….6 -

82 net carbs and step goal hit.
3/27- 182.6 Had an indulgence meal last night, so not unexpected. And I’m okay with it. Still down 0.4 this round, which is still down!

3/27 - DNW - Weekend has been a little hectic, as usual. Met my goal (except today but I have time) of 1 job application (minimum) per day. Not near enough water despite my best efforts, but it has been quite toasty out which my body isn't used to yet. I didn't weigh because I knew it'd be all wonky due to the water situation. Hopefully between my best efforts of getting extra AND my body adjusting to the warmer weather, I'll be good witin a week. Just focus, Cam! Good news though: I will be getting more back from insurance than I paid for the Toyota years ago due to the high used car prices. It'll pay about 80% of what is owed on the Impala since I need a commuter for now. I was looking for an upgrade and would've had to pay even for a trade in so I'm actually better off, finanially, for this (personally/individually). BF is focusing on getting BigBro a car now he has a job (first day was yesterday! His first job, too!) and BigBro can pay him back. Rule was that BigBro gets one "free" car and he'll be paying payments to BF on the "new" car. With that, though, he will get the title signed over to him once the car is "paid off" (versus the Toyota, he'd just pay insurance/gas and if he wanted to move out, he'd have to buy his own car or buy the Toyota from us). BF's dad-rules in play there, I just go with the flow. Also a good lesson I wish I had as a teenager about how the adult world is.... Also super proud of BigBro since he went into plumbing and is hoping to use this as a career progression, not just a paycheck. It's a great mindset to have, I think. If only I could find me a place I can establish and grow my career in the paths of mechanical engineering I want to focus on. Lots of changes going on in this household, but hopefully it'll set us all up (BigBro included) for the future.
Previous Day's Comments3/18
3/19
3/20
3/21 - Not near enough water yesterday and I ended up waking up a few times last night to chug water so I'm not sure how accurate this weigh in is. This weekend was busy. Friday I spent running errands and trying to spend time with the kids. Saturday I had to drive them back to meet their mom in Oklahoma which took the entire day for that round trip. Now back to commuting. I do have an interview on Friday, though! Not going to get hopes up too much, but it's a start!
3/22 - BigBro totaled my Toyota yesterday. He's okay. Sore, has a concussion. BF may take him to hospital today if it's still bad enough. Stress is through the roof and I've debated calling in sick so I can sleep. At this point, I might as well be sick because I feel so awful.
3/23 - I have no idea what's going on. I barely ate yesterday and I threw up a couple times because of a stomach bug going around and yet my weight is up? I stepped on scale twice and it read the same. I am dehydrated but didn't think it'd be so much so that I'd gain without really eating anything. Feel better today. Just had to go grab food from our little shopette because I was nauseous this morning and didn't think to bring breakfast in case. My body is really rebelling against me lately. Goal today: get enough water!!!! I'm a tad behind but not enough I can't catch up.
3/24 - Crazy swings in weight. Hit minimum goal (75oz) but not quite primary goal (90oz). Progress, though! Leftover tacos for lunch yesterday. Dinner was a thrown together air fried chicken thighs with green beans. FamHub's birthday and he asked to go out to the bar/grill (with outdoor area for kids to play) for dinner so I told the boys to go (BF fought back about me not having a good dinner while he's out enjoying himself but I won since it was birthday boy's request and he had thawed the thighs already). The air fryer BF got me for Christmas sure came in handy for that. Luckily I also had enough leftover taco meat and a couple tortillas to have tacos again for lunch at work. Even have enough thighs for tonight's dinner already thawed out so one less thing for BF to worry about haha! I win. Plus it's decently healthy. Interview tomorrow along with weekly grocery shopping. Not sure what else going on this weekend (since today is my Friday)

Happy Friday! I’m off for a walk with the pup before the rain rolls in. Enjoy your day, all!
3/19 - 179.8
Cold and rainy today, so I’m planning a nice cozy indoor Saturday. Enjoy yours!
3/20 - 179
🌷🌷Happy Spring! 🌷🌷 It’s bright and sunny here and warming up. Perfect day to take Rory for a walk & then play 🎾, then do a bit of pruning. Not quite warm enough yet for real garden cleanup (don’t want to kill the baby insects in the leaf litter), but I can start a few things, including planning some new front yard landscaping. Cheers me right up. Enjoy your day!
3/21 - 178.6
My “different soup every Sunday” project continues…yesterday I made vegetable beef. I rarely eat beef, but had a hankering for a nice chunky veggie beef, and it was delish. Hitting my calorie goal the past few days, too—even on the weekend. Yay!
3/22 - 179.2
Just back from 2.5 hours of doggy classes. We’re both ready for a nap!
3/23 - 180.4
Snack attach, lots of salt. Fed up—literally—with myself.
3/24 - 180.2
Good calories, bad sodium yesterday. All is well. 😁
3/25 - 180.2
Why do I keep sabotaging myself? Phooey. I have a banquet to go to tonight, but will try to eat responsibly, and to get seriously on the bandwagon the next two days to finish the round.
3/26 - 180.4
Lovely banquet last night to celebrate our dog-training club’s 75th anniversary. The food was remarkably healthful, other than the cupcakes, so I didn’t blow up my calories too much. Happy Saturday, everyone!
3/27 - 180.2
Okay, well, I didn’t lose this round, but I didn’t gain anything significant either, so I’ll call it a wash. Yesterday’s calorie count was fine, but my average for the round is higher than I wanted. I have a plan for snack control next round, so we’ll see how that goes. Last night I finished my first sweater (I started knitting 6 years ago, self taught with help from an accomplished friend and YouTube) and it fits! I need to block it before I model it, but here ‘tis. Whatcha think?

So grateful to be back....I intend this time to be the last "returning" time, staying vigilant and consistent is my plan.
SW: 208.3
Day/Weight/Comment
3/18 208.3
3/19 206.3 Probably water weight loss and will readjust. On target and tracking macros/micros daily.
3/20 206.2 Happy Spring Equinox everyone! Staying strong and focused on my goal
3/21 206.3 Carrying out my daily plan,,,intention + action.
3/22 207.3 will wet hair/drinking water before weighing=a pound of weight? Came in under 200 cal yesterday and logged all macros/micros….I’ve eaten the same food on other days - didn’t result in weight gain.…the mysteries of this journey. Not concerned/just observation. 5 days to correct. I’m staying the course…I know I will succeed.
3/23 206.3 yes! Proof that consistency works…just do it even if disappointed by the daily numbers,,. never give up! Five days to drop 1/2 pound to reach my 2 1/2 pound goal this round
3/24 206.1 Ate at the highest end of my range. I intentionally mix up my calories within my range on different days. Keep my body happy but willing to release. On track ….every intention met daily.
3/25 204 It's the consistency...no "cheat" meals or indulgences. I know my food and how much I can eat daily. I have been the fat girl who ate too much healthy food. Now..this is my life...health (which includes daily staying within my caloric intake), fit, and function are priorities. I will meet my goals this challenge. So appreciative for this thread and the community here
3/26 203.4 Staying strong…ate just below my high calories. Addressing any low micros in my nutrition…I consider food my medicine so remedying with food not supplements. I’ve adopted to my lifestyle calorie intake so I don’t need as much food to feel full. I love my tasty meals and look forward to them…IF is going strong, don’t feel the need to eat before 12:00. Only had one day of hunger during the challenge so I ate a couple of pieces of fruit (I don’t deny true hunger) and it took me through to 12:00, my main meal of the day. Life is good…tomorrow we will wrap up this challenge. Happy to be here🥰
3/27 203.9 Lost 4.4 pounds this challenge. My goal was 2.5. Reflection: consistency - never veering from my plan gives results. I am thankful for all of us here…there is strength in common goals. Looking forward to the new challenge tomorrow; a new beginning for health and fitness for each of us💖7 -

Day/Weight/Comment
03/17 …..199.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
03/18 …..198.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.2) TMI was helpful. Yesterday was not the best of days with left over Chinese and other things I could have done without. I did have more steps overall for the day.
03/19 …..xxxxx ….. Trend weight xxxxx) Up about 4 hours earlier than usual this morning and was guzzling coffee before I realized I forgot to weigh. A broken routine this morning in every way. It’s going to be a rough day with very little sleep.
03/20 …..198.4 ….. (Trend weight 198.4) Relieved.
03/21 …..198.0 ….. (Trend weight 198.3) My trend weight went down a touch and for that I am very happy. Up early posting this morning and then I will be doing a travel day which is much further than usual. I am picking up something from facebook marketplace which is between 3 and 4 hours away (each way). Taking my handyman and there will be lunch or dinner out mid-state. Lots of sitting today so I don’t expect it will be that great tomorrow on the scale, but I will just keep working on it.
03/22 .….. 199.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.4) Golden Corral during travel. I’ll aim for a slim day today.
03/23 …..198.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.5) One pound down today which is probably excess water from the travel/restaurant weight. I did okay yesterday diet-wise. I made some good choices but there is still lots of room for improvement.
03/24 …..198.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.6) No change today. Diet was okay until the snacking. Snacks lower in calorie but too many. However, I made an actual effort to get in my 10,000 steps and I am proud of the progress there. Getting in movement and exercise has been almost impossible and had definitely made my efforts more difficult. Gotta eat so gotta burn calories every day!
03/25 …..199.8 ….. (Trend weight 198.7) Not a good day yesterday. I can do better.
03/26 …..199.2 ….. (Trend weight 198.8) I resolved an issue with my daughter (who is currently staying with me along with my 4 yr old DGS), so I am feeling a little bit better emotionally but it is still fragile. Trying not to eat every emotion.
03/27 …..199.6 ….. (Trend weight 199.0) Not such a good day yesterday. However, the round finds me at a 0.2 drop on the scale. Just normal up and down fluctuations and swings this round. No real progress.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

3/27: 135.6 - Wasn’t expecting another whoosh. My goal weight is in sight.

3/27 / 168.4 / This round loss was likely "helped" by sickness given that I did increase my calories to near maintenance when I got sick to ensure I had enough calories to fight it off. My original goal weight was 168 which I saw this round - excited to see what the next rounds bring.6 -
@musicsax We’re all rooting for you! You can do this! Be mindful and keep your eye on the prize!

3/18 173.4 I'm hoping for a whoosh this round to break out of the 170s. But that's just a hope— in terms of goals that are within my control, I'd like to take four forest walks this round, which I'll denote with an *
3/19 174.0 Booo. Okay. Fine.
3/20 * 173.2 Back to my starting weight for this round. I might be eating a bit too few calories lately? Around 1200-1300, which MFP gave me, but that's what I did previously to lose and that time, I was starting off 20 lbs lighter. Not sure if I should try to do some calorie cycling...in other news, got my first forest walk in yesterday!
3/21 *172.3 Did a little walk by the bay yesterday, went over on my sugar limit, but woke up to this nice surprise on the scale! If I can hover around 172 this round, I'll be happy. Closer and closer to the 160s. Which is still miles from where I want to be, but it's so much better than where I started!
3/22 *171.8 Wow! Doubt it'll stay this low, but it's nice to see.
3/23 171.6 I had homemade orange chicken yesterday and though I didn't overeat, I thought today might be higher. I guess not! It could always show up tomorrow, though.
3/24 172.0 Hovering around 172 is hope for this round because that would be another pound gone. So far, so good (though I certainly didn't mind seeing those 171s!).
3/25 171.4 I had a salty meatloaf frozen meal last night because my husband's out of town and I don't cook—thought I might bounce up a bit, so I'm glad to see this. But closing out a round with Fri-Sat-Sun can be a challenge, so I'm going to have to be extra careful if I want to finish around 171.
3/26 DNW
3/27 171.4 Wow, the end of this round sneaked up on me. I'm happy with my efforts and results this time. Nothing too exciting, but a solid 2 lbs down! And already 7.3 lbs lighter than when I restarted this challenge. It feels significant because not long ago, I was creeping UP to the 180s and now I'm creeping DOWN to the 160s.

3/18 122.8 Legs are sore from my new strength routine this week. Went to the gym this morning to do strength and intervals. I was able to go up in my Romanian deadlift and my reverse lunges this morning, so that was a good feeling and my forearms are slowly getting stronger. Tonight we’ll be getting Thai takeout for my sister in law’s birthday, so I’m sure I’ll have a sodium induced blip up tomorrow and the next few days. We had corned beef and cabbage last night for St. Patrick’s day and it was so good. I measured everything out and was able to stay within my calorie goals yesterday.
3/19 did not post
3/20 123.2 pre workout 121.9 post work out. It’s been a salty weekend, so hopefully that works it way out in a day or two. Did 45 minutes on the elliptical this morning and sat in the sauna for a bit afterwards too.
3/21 122.4 Food was better yesterday and I already have my day planned out for today and it’s looking good. Hoping to see a new low this round. I’m also planning to stick closer to my macros this week and see how that goes. I did my strength routine this morning and it felt great, my hip was even happy with me after my running intervals. I also managed to bump up a bit in weight in almost each exercise. I’m up to 35# dumbbells for my bench press and love feeling so strong afterwards. So, that’s always nice! I’m planning to check my body composition again tomorrow morning with their fancy scale thing at the gym, so I’ll be sharing those numbers tomorrow. Have a good Monday everyone!
3/22 121.4 Did a 5 mile run on the treadmill this morning. I can’t wait for it to be light out again in the mornings, so I don’t always have to treadmill run. I was running in the dark outside earlier this year/late last year but I wasn’t the biggest fan because of the safety factors involved with it. I used the InBody scale at my gym today and learned that I’ve gone from 27.2% percent body fat in January to now 25.3%. So, I was super excited to see those numbers! It just shows that as I slowly lose this weight I’m gaining muscle mass at the same time. So while it’s slower, my strength training and patience is paying off.
Breakfast was good this morning and super filling (oat bran mixed with homemade apple sauce, cinnamon, cashews, and some vanilla protein shake), lunch will be a salad and dinner is still to be determined.
3/23 120.6 Was super happy to see this number this morning 😊. I did my strength workout this morning along with 8 1 minute fast running intervals and 90 seconds of slower running in between. I ended up being forced to go up in weight by 5lbs for my reverse lunges because the dumbbells I wanted were missing resulting in me using 35# dumbbells instead of 30s. I was able to complete all the sets and my forearm strength was pretty darn good throughout it. So, lots of wins this morning. I was also able to go up in weight with my Romanian deadlifts by 20lbs total. Then, I finished it up with some nice stretching because I had a few extra minutes than normal. This program is starting to get exciting for me by seeing all these strength gains. Food was healthy yesterday, but I had the hungry horrors and went over my allotted calories for the day but still think I maintained a very minor deficit. Happy Wednesday!
I haven’t had a chance to read through most of the posts but plan to catch up soon. Hoping things are going well or getting better for people!
3/24 121.4 Went to the gym this morning and used the elliptical for about an hour. The blip up is because we went out to dinner last night unexpectedly and I indulged in truffles fries and a prosciutto, fig jam, and mozzarella pizza. So hello sodium and calories. I finished the pizza for breakfast this morning and now feel uncomfortably full. Ugh. It was my own decision so I’ll own it. I’ll definitely be eating lighter for the rest of the day and probably have a salad for lunch and something light for dinner.
3/25 121ish Not sure of the true weight because I weighed post workout with my clothes on. I did strength today and intervals on the treadmill to wrap it all up. Food has been good so far today. Tomorrow, I have plans to meet my friend at the gym in the morning which should be fun instead of working out on my own.
3/27 121.2 We had a solid day yesterday. I ran 4ish miles on the treadmill and ate well all day. I made homemade steak and cheese calzones with peppers and onions. I even made the dough for it which was 3 parts whole wheat flour and 1 part bread flour. It came out yummy and was within my calories because I wasn’t really hungry around lunch time, so I had about 900 calories to work with for dinner. This morning, I went to the gym and did my strength workout because I won’t have my car tomorrow morning (dropping my husband’s car off at the gym tonight). The gym was gloriously quiet at 7ish this morning and I loved every second of it. Then, tomorrow morning I’ll either run or use the bike.
Breakfast this morning was left over steak with peppers and onions and then 2 eggs along with it and a car acara orange for dessert. I’m excited for later in the week because I ordered some of Fiber Gourmet’s challah rolls and stocked up on their biscotti. The biscotti are the perfect low cal, crunchy and mildly sweet treat for an afternoon snack. The challah rolls will be good to mix up my breakfasts and make breakfast sandwiches or have some toast with my protein shakes.
Also, I'm happy to end the round lower than when I started! Goal accomplished!

@smoda61 That almond cheesecake cone sounds divine though! I hope the low blood pressure issues get figured out for you.
@sheilaboneham That sweater is beautiful!

@coblujay congrats on hitting that milestone! sorry I'm late to the congrats, I'm just now catching up and reading through everything
@ashleycarole86 Glad you're feeling better! When you miss exercise while sick, I feel like that's when you know how much exercise makes you feel better in day to day life/how much of an active/healthier lifestyle you have.6 -

SW: 367.0 (6000 step goal, goal to lose 2 to 3 lbs. each challenge, go to bed by 11:30, no eating out more than once every 10-day challenge)
Day/Weight/Comment (previous day steps)
3/18 365.4 – 5234 steps.
3/19 362.8 – 6849 steps. So far it is very unusual for me to have a loss 2 days in a row, but I will certainly take it
3/20 363.6 – 4077 steps. I had a very tasty splurge yesterday. It was worth the calories. I am back on it today.
3/21 361.2 – 4344 steps. My mini tax vacation went way too fast!
3/22 360.0 – 6778 steps. I have been doing much better since I went back to using MFP suggested calories and not eating back more than 20% or none of my movement / exercise calories.
3/23 361.0 – 5207 steps.
3/24 361.8 – 6201 steps.
3/25361.8 – 5958 steps.
3/26 359.8 – 6871 steps. I have been super busy, but I am still here in spirit. I have lost 0.2 more pounds since I last posted which I will take. I am having Chinese food today with a friend. Not sure what I am having. I really want to be under 360 on Monday when I see my PCP. I want to get Governors Chicken, but I may settle for chicken and broccoli. Choices, choices, choices. But I don’t want to deprive myself so I will probably go with what I really want. I am very happy with hitting 359 today but I know I will flip flop a minute before I stick in the 350’s for good… Have a good weekend everyone! And be safe!
3/27 360.6 – 7224 steps. I had what I wanted yesterday at Chinese restaurant! It was great seeing an old friend who I had not seen since the pandemic started. I did not go overboard but I ate most of movement calories back which was reason for bump up which I am good with. Lost over 5 pounds this round and very happy. Goal next round is to solidify landing in the next decade. See you all next round!! Keep up the good work! Congrats to everyone who maintained or lost weight! For those who didn’t remember you learned something, never give up and stick with the process and you will get there! This is a lifestyle not a diet…

In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.8 -

3/18 ~ 193.8 -16,000 and 113. SO is away for the week so these 10 days should go well with exercise better eating and meal planning. I've added my step goals. I am not physically ready to hit that but my brain is telling me its soon. Maybe after another 10 lbs.
3/19 ~ 193.1 - 18,200 and 127. It’s a slow start to the day. It’s the only sunny day this week and I don’t know how to spend it, but it will include coffee and a walk. Hope you all have sunny days today. ☀️
3/20 ~ 192 - 37,000 and 274. Big walk and a long hot bath after. Probably a dehydrated weight this morning. Probably be a low key day today.
3/21 ~ 192.2 - 19,000 and 92. Spent the day shopping and a small walk. SO is headed back home early so will see how the meals go. Super excited that Spring is here although rain is in the forecast for days!!
3/22 ~ 192.5 - 10,600 and 62. Was tired yesterday and forgot my chicken and salad dressing in my lunch. I can do dry salad but I added lots of kale to this one, kale really needs dressing!! Found a protein bar in my desk so I did have calories. SO made it home and too was very tired from his long drive. Ok Tuesday... I got this!! Have a wonderful day all.
3/23 ~ 192.2 - 16,700 and 108 mins. Walked home from work. Still a little tired but it may be this drizzly weather. Still have kale in my salad but remembered my dressing!! Happy Hump Day!!
3/24 ~ 192.3 - 14,400 and 99 mins. Sushi for dinner chose well sashimi a salad and a couple pieces of salmon nigiri. BUT SO wanted to go out for dinner it was a little early so he suggested a small walk. The weather had just cleared and it was a great evening. Also my reading goal is a work in progress, I am enjoying a relaxing tea in the evening just need to pick up that book.
3/25 ~ 192.1 - 12,900 and 89 mins. Another small walk before dinner with SO. Busy weekend ahead with an out of town visit. Want to get my steps in have to figure out how I can make that work. Especially because its a family dinner and who knows what's on the menu. Will have some dessert though. Happy Friday!!
3/26 ~ 190.5 - 15,000 and 105 min. Another small walk with SO, who is this guy? lol. Had a great sleep and slept in so I’m probably more dehydrated than usual but I’ll take it. Family dinner tonight and rainy weather not sure how I’m getting these steps in. Wishing you all a great day. 🌺🌼🌸
3/27 ~ 190.6 - 12,000 and 77 minutes. Low move day for me on a weekend. 4 hours of travel and family dinner. Has a lighter breakfast and lunch so I could enjoy dinner and dessert. Worked out better then I thought. See you all next round I hope. ⭐️⭐️⭐️6
