My name is Donna. I am 61 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, a touch of high blood pressure, some osteoporosis and am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.
CHALLENGE TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: Total Loss of 15 pounds to land at 184.6
CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT (FROM Mar 31, 2022): 199.6

I TRY TO WEIGH ON THE 1ST AND LAST DAY OF EACH MONTH ALSO. I HAVE MADE THE GOAL OF LOSING A LITTLE MORE IN SEPT AND OCT AND KEEPING IT A LITTLE LESS THROUGH THE NOV AND DEC HOLIDAYS (AND BAKING SEASON.) I THINK THAT 15 POUNDS OVERALL IS A MORE REALISTIC GOAL FOR ME ESPECIALLY SINCE I LIVE IN A VERY SNOWY AND ICY AREA AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND EXERCISE ARE DIFFICULT AFTER OCTOBER 1ST. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I GET AND STAY AT A HEALTHY WEIGHT DUE TO HEALTH REASONS I WILL SHARE ALONG THE WAY. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I AM ROOTING FOR YOU AND SUPPORTING YOU ALL 100% WE CAN DO THIS!

I have been circling around 95.5this week week. Managed to start C25K, yeah! I hope to keep going over Easter holidays 🐣
We (me, husband plus 2 kids) are going to see my dad who lives not far away and has just started Chemo. So while his cancer reminds me to better look after myself, it is also difficult because he is 82 and does not really have the energy or will to massively change his lifestyle. Also, maybe now I would be not the right moment as he needs to stay strong. That means there will be meat and cake. I will still try to adapt the recipes in a way to make the food less heavy and just add tons of vegetables. They will eat it once it is there 😉8 -

Hi 👋🏼 I'm Viva. I just signed up on Myfitnesspal yesterday. Today is day 1. I have never tracked my meals before (except to track allergies). The past two years have been rough. I have been making unhealthy choices to cope with the diagnosis and treatment of an autoimmune condition. I couldn't imagine it possible gaining 15 kgs in two years. My mental health has affected my body and now I'm going to do something about it to avoid being pre-diabetic.
I hope this helps me stay consistent and accountable.

Ok so I reaiise I goofed with my first check in last week. I was in the 15's not the 16's range lol! I used to be in the 16's last year and my brain still automatically goes there !
Anyways I'm so excited with a loss this week! I've been stuck in the 15st 10 range for a while, so it's nice to see it go down to the 15st 8 range!! Yay!!
